If you don't think this 60-game season is crazy, the Marlins 7-1 record tells you everything you need to know. Anyway, we have a great slate here with games spread all throughout the day. We're going to try to recommend plays spread all throughout, just to cater to everyone. That should cater to all of you and hopefully, it will help you win some dough! Pitchers Clayton Kershaw FD - P 10600 DK - SP 10500 Opponent - SF (Johnny Cueto) Park - LAD FD - 40.65 DK - 22 We really wanted to recommend Kershaw last week in his debut but there was too much uncertainty about his pitch count to do that. He quieted us down though, throwing 81 pitches and sitting around 92-93 MPH with his fastball. That's the guy we know and love and it equated to 5.2 scoreless innings with six Ks and only three baserunners allowed. That means he should be ready to approach 90-100 pitches here, making him the best pitching option on the board. The matchup against San Fran is just as intriguing, facing a Giants team who was at the bottom of nearly every offensive statistic last season. That has the Dodgers entering this matchup as a -290 favorite and the Giants projected for only three runs. Chris Paddack FD - P 9100 DK - SP 7900 Opponent - ARI (Merrill Kelly) Park - SD FD - 35.5 DK - 19.15 The Diamondbacks just got shutout on Friday and it appears that this has developed into one of the worst lineups in baseball. In fact, Arizona currently ranks 25th in runs per game and 27th in OPS. It's really no surprise when you take a look at their lineup and that should allow Paddack to cruise to a quality start. That was certainly the case in his one game against them earlier this year, pitching six scoreless innings. This guy has been an absolute stud in his career too, pitching to a 3.25 ERA and 0.98 WHIP while striking out 168 batters across 157.2 innings. All of this has San Diego as a -170 favorite with a game total of just 7.5. Catcher/First Base Miguel Sanó FD - 1B 3200 DK - 1B 5000 Opponent - KC (Danny Duffy) Park - KC FD - 12.76 DK - 9.43 While...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Friday 8/7/20 Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB and NBA optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Fridays are always my favorite day in terms of DFS, with every team in action. I'm not sure we've had many days with all 30 teams in play with all the COVID stuff but it looks like we have that here with Miami, St. Louis and Philly all back. That makes things fun for us, so, let's go ahead and get into it! Pitchers Julio Urías FD - P 8100 DK - SP 9800 Opponent - SF (Jeff Samardzija) Park - LAD FD - 33.93 DK - 17.99 This FanDuel price is really hard to understand. The talented southpaw has done nothing but produce throughout his Major League career, pitching to a 3.14 ERA and 1.28 WHIP. More importantly, he has exactly one strikeout per inning in that same span, making him a dangerous fantasy option. The matchup against the Giants might be the best part of this play though, with San Fran sitting bottom-three in scoring, OBP and OPS last season. They have improved a little this year but a -250 line in favor of LA and a projected run total below four show you what Vegas thinks of them here. Matthew Boyd FD - P 7900 DK - SP 8900 Opponent - PIT (Chad Kuhl) Park - PIT FD - 34.61 DK - 18.48 Boyd has really struggled this season but it's lowered his price tag to a number that we can't overlook. We're talking about a guy who was $1,500 more on each site this time a year ago and he really shouldn't be this cheap in such a tasty matchup. The Pirates currently sit 28th in scoring while owning a league-worst .564 OPS. Yes, a .564 OPS. That's essentially facing a lineup with a bunch of nine-hole hitters. That's big news with Boyd posting a 30 percent K rate last season and Pittsburgh's best hitters being lefty-strong guys like Josh Bell, Colin Moran and Gregory Polanco. We also think Griffin Canning (FD $7200 DK $8200) is a solid option against a struggling Rangers lineup. Catcher/First Base Max Muncy FD - 1B 3900 DK - 1B/2B 5300 Opponent - SF (Jeff Samardzija) Park - LAD FD - 15.36 DK - 11.37 If you don't already know, Muncy is an absolute masher. Since joining the Dodgers in 2018, he has a .379 OBP, .537 SLG and .916 OPS. Those are All-Star numbers and it looks even better when you see his splits....

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Thursday 8/6/20

Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Tyler Chatwood FD - P 9600 DK - SP 9400 Opponent - KC (Brad Keller) Park - KC FD - 33.19 DK - 16.61 The price on Chatwood continues to go up but I am still shocked it is below $10K on DraftKings with the combination of how well he has pitched and the matchup. Let's talk Chatwood first who has been dominant to start the year allowing just six hits and one earned run over 12.2 innings while striking out 19 batters(40%). Tonight, he gets another plus matchups the Cubs open as -165 favorites against a Royals team that sits at the bottom of the standings and ranks bottom six in runs scored, wOBA and wRC+ on the season. All things considered, Chatwood is my top pitcher in all formats tonight. Nate Pearson FD - P 7500 DK - SP 7300 Opponent - ATL (Touki Toussaint) Park - ATL FD - 27.64 DK - 13.97 Things really fall off after the top three pitchers on the main slate. Despite the Jays opening as slight underdogs(+119), I love the PTS/$ floor and ceiling at these prices with the Jays #1 prospect, Nate Pearson. In his first career start, against the defending champs, he went almost pitch for pitch with Max Scherzer before being shut down at just over 70 pitches and tallied five strikeouts while allowing just two hits. He gets another tough NL East opponent tonight as the Braves are Top 10 or close in almost all offensive categories to start the season but the good news is that they have struck out over 28% of the time as a team. At these prices, on this smaller main slate, I am willing to take the risk and ride with Pearson as my SP2 in all formats on DraftKings and as a punt GPP play on FanDuel to load up the bats. Catcher/First Base Anthony Rizzo FD - 1B 3700 DK - 1B 5000 Opponent - KC (Brad Keller) Park - KC FD - 13.66 DK - 10.24 I was high on the Cubs last night and headed right back there tonight as they are currently one of six teams projected to score five or more runs. It starts with Anthony Rizzo who despite having just a .222 average going into Wednesday night has hits in eight of 11 games and sits with an elite .398 wOBA so I am...

Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Yu Darvish FD - P 9500 DK - SP 10400 Opponent - KC (Kris Bubic) Park - KC FD - 34.26 DK - 18.81 Darvish bounced back after an opening day loss with a terrific performance against the Pirates where he allowed just two hits over six innings while striking out seven and walking one. He got up to 86 pitches which is positive and I feel he gets over that 90 pitch mark tonight in another plus matchup justifying his price on DraftKings. He will face a Royals team that sits in the basement of the American League and went into Tuesday night with an 87 team wRC+(24th) and .293 wOBA(22nd). The Cubs are huge -220 favorites and Darvish is my top pitcher in all formats on both sites. Randy Dobnak FD - P 7100 DK - RP 7200 Opponent - PIT (Trevor Williams) Park - PIT FD - 27.29 DK - 14.15 The Twins improved their major-league best record on Tuesday moving to 9-2 on the season and in large part to a starting rotation that has posted a sub 3.00 ERA. Tonight Randy Dobnak take the ball as the Twins open as -180 road favorites in Pittsburgh against the Pirates who currently sit 2nd to last in team wOBA(.251) and wRC+(59). Dobnak got up to 94 pitches in his 2nd start of the season and shutout the Indians over five innings putting up 20.3 DK/33 FD points. Combine the matchup and price tag and you have my top PTS/$ play at the pitcher position. Catcher/First Base Daniel Murphy FD - 1B 3500 DK - 1B 5100 Opponent - SF (Logan Webb) Park - COL FD - 13.42 DK - 10.26 The Rockies, at home in Coors, lead the way in implied runs once again and it makes sense to go back to the well as there have been an average of 12.5 runs over the first four games with the home team averaging over seven per game. As of now, the Giants are projected to start Logan Webb who hasn't gone deep into either of his first two starts and while he only gave up two runs, he gave up 10 hits in 7.2 innings. While a small sample size, he has really struggled vs. lefties so that is where Murphy comes into play. He hits 5th in the order and has started the season on fire...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Tuesday 8/4/20

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Tuesday 8/4/20 Baseball has been crazy this whole season and it doesn't seem to be getting any saner. Let's take a look at some plays for FanDuel and DraftKings. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB, NBA, PGA, NHL, and NFL optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Andrew Heaney FD - P 7300 DK - SP 8000 Opponent - SEA (Justin Dunn) Park - SEAFD - 35.53 DK - 19.47 The good news first: Heaney has been nails to start this season, striking out 12 batters in 9 2/3 innings while only walking one total. He’s rocking an early 2.70 xFIP and just dominated these same Mariners in his last start, cruising through five innings. The problem is that the pitch counts have eclipsed 70 in either game and there’s little margin for error at these prices with that kind of leash. Not going all that deep in games has kept the prices low on both sites, and I do think they work to stretch him out going forward. So while the per inning numbers are about as good as it gets through two starts, there’s concern about length here. Brandon Woodruff FD - P 9200 DK - SP 8300 Opponent - CHW (Lucas Giolito) Park - MILFD - 36.45 DK - 19.67 This young White Sox lineup has a lot of prospects in it and has one of the better team wOBAs to start the season. That doesn’t make for all that appealing a cash game opponent, but pitching is rather thin on this slate and we won’t mind spending up again at Coors. As a full-time starter in 2019 Woodruff had a breakout season, striking out more than 10.5 batters per nine and rocking a 3.36 xFIP. He’s continued things this season K-ing 15 batters in his first 11 innings while issuing only two walks. This is pretty much an even-money pick’em so Woodruff doesn’t get much in the way of win expectation, but his K numbers are as good as anyone going here. Dustin May (FD $5900 DK $7500) is still coming cheap but I’m not sure the pitch count gets all the way there. Catcher/First Base Daniel Murphy FD - 1B 3400 DK - 1B 4500 Opponent - SF (Kevin Gausman) Park - COLFD - 13.84 DK - 10.58 Ok, buckle up everyone because you’re about to get another healthy dose of Coors plays. Look, I know there isn’t a lot of nuance here, but when you have a game with a 12.5 over/under, three runs...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Monday 8/3/20

Pitchers Gerrit Cole FD - P 11000 DK - SP 11000 Opponent - PHI (Asher Wojciechowski) Park - BAL FD - 39.05 DK - 22.32 It hasn't exactly been a dominating start to the season for Cole but he has won both of his starts and three of the four earned runs he has given up came on two home runs. Overall, he limited the Nationals and Orioles to just five hits across 11.2 innings with 12 strikeouts(28%) and just three walks. Tonight, he gets a matchup against the Phillies who have not played since their opening series with the Marlins. The price still has room to go up and given the other elite arms on this slate have much tougher matchups, Cole is easily my top play on this slate in all formats. Alec Mills FD - P 7000 DK - RP 8000 Opponent - KC (Danny Duffy) Park - CHC FD - 27.11 DK - 13.9 The Cubs open up as -150 favorites on Monday at home to a Royals team that has struggled losing three straight and five of their last six scoring just 3.5 runs per game. Mills came up in the Royals system and joined the Cubs in 2017 and it appears he is finally getting a shot in the rotation. He was decent in his first start going six innings, giving up just two hits and two earn earned runs. He only went 77 pitches so I fully expect that leash the be extended to at least 85 tonight which is more than enough for him to hit value. He is in play in all formats. Catcher/First Base José Abreu FD - 1B 3200 DK - 1B 4200 Opponent - MIL (Adrian Houser) Park - MIL FD - 10.23 DK - 7.77 The line is not out yet on this game at the tie of writing this but I would suspect the red-hit White Sox are favorites here. Either way, they are near the top of my list for teams to targets, especially from a PTS/$ perspective with the very expensive Yankees ad Rockies bats tonight. The Sox have won four straight scoring 27 runs and Abreu hits right in the middle of the lineup between some up and coming superstars. At these prices, he is a top target at first base in all formats. Willson Contreras FD - C 3300 DK - C 4500...
