Welcome back to another full day of baseball action and in this article, I will be looking at my top plays at each position for both the early and main slates. Let's get started. Pitchers Early Walker Buehler FD - P 9400 DK - SP 9300 Opponent - WSH (Joe Ross) Park - LAD FD - 38.5 DK - 22.4 We have a small three-game slate today with limited pitching options so I was a bit surprised to see Buehler in the sub $10K range. Sign me up! His first start came in Coors Field last Saturday and he was good, not great going six innings allowing just four hits but gave up two earned and while he only struck out four, he didn't walk anyone. I am not at all worried seeing as he is coming off four straight seasons recording a K rate of 27% or higher and has a career 3.39 xFIP. The matchup is a bit scary against the Nats but like I said in the beginning, the options are very limited. Main Zach Plesac FD - P 8600 DK - RP 9600 Opponent - DET (Julio Teheran) Park - CLE FD - 37.62 DK - 19.54 Like Buehler, Plesac was good, not great in his 2021 debut going six innings on just 84 pitches(58 strikes) giving up six hits and two earned runs but was only able to tally for strikeouts on a 5% swinging-strike rate. I am not concerned about the K's as he is coming off a season where he tallied a 14% swinging strike rate 28% K rate. He faces the Tigers for a second time in a week and although it appeared they may surprise some early on, they have now lost three of their last four scoring 15 runs, and have also struck out a collective 25 times over the past two games. Plesac is in play in all formats today. Catcher/First Base Early Max Muncy FD - 1B 3300 DK - 1B 4900 Opponent - WSH (Joe Ross) Park - LAD FD - 13.29 DK - 9.79 The Dodgers prices are very fair on this smaller slate, especially Muncy who is under $5K on DraftKings and in the low $3K range on FanDuel. With Bellinger expected to miss another game on Friday, Muncy is likely back in the cleanup spot and has been red-hot to start the year with...

Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! This is my first MLB DFS article of the season, and I can't tell you happy I am to be back! The first week has been beyond crazy, and I'm glad that we have a week of numbers to help analyze this slate. This happens to be a weird one, though, with just nine games in total spread throughout the day. We usually try to focus on the main slate, but with only two games at night, we're going to offer up plays throughout the day. With that in mind, let's get into it! Pitchers José Berríos FD - P 9600 DK - SP 9800 Opponent - SEA (Marco Gonzales) Park - MIN FD - 41.64 DK - 22.42 If you don't think Berrios is the best play on the board here, you need to examine your DFS strategy. In his first start of the season, the 26-year-old threw six no-hit innings against the Milwaukee Brewers. More importantly, he struck out 12 batters en route to 64 FanDuel points. What really adds to Berrios' value here is that he's at home, generating a 3.38 ERA, 1.09 WHIP, and 12.1 K/9 rates at home last season. It's hard to understand why he had such drastic splits, but it's clear that he loves sleeping in his own bed! All of that makes him hard to fade, and we absolutely love this matchup too. The Mariners are currently hitting .193 as a team while posting a gross 31.4 percent K rate. That has Berrios and the Twins entering this matchup as a -190 favorite as well. Taijuan Walker FD - P 7700 DK - SP 7700 Opponent - MIA (Undecided) Park - NYM FD - 32.16 DK - 16.6 Citi Field has turned bad pitchers into solid ones and average pitchers into great ones, becoming the most pitcher-friendly park in baseball. That makes me feel like Walker could be on the cusp of a breakout season because this youngster has flashed moments of brilliance throughout his career. In 11 starts last season, TW pitched to a 2.70 ERA and 1.16 WHIP while striking out 50 batters across 53 innings. That's why the Mets decided to sign this guy, and he threw four scoreless innings in his final spring training start, facing the minimum 12 batters. That form makes him really hard to fade in a matchup like this, with the Marlins ranked 22nd in both runs scored...

We have a full day of action with all 30 teams in action but will be concentrating on the main slate which gets going at 1:10 pm ET today. Let's get started. Pitchers Trevor Bauer FD - P 11000 DK - SP 10200 Opponent - OAK (Jesus Luzardo) Park - OAK FD - 39.83 DK - 21.83 It's another great slate if you are into ace pitching and for me, it is clear who is #1 for fantasy today. He got a tough draw having to start the season on the road in Coors Field but was dominant early with four 3-up/3-down innings through six and the other two he only faced four batters. The Rockies got to him in the 7th but he ended up striking out 10 with a 15.6% swing strike rate and hitters swung at 34% of pitches outside the zone. He now gets a plus matchup vs. the A's who have scored just 12 runs in five games with an ugly .251 team wOBA. Lock Bauer into your SP1 spot and move on! Hyun-Jin Ryu FD - P 8200 DK - SP 7300 Opponent - TEX (Kyle Gibson) Park - TEX FD - 36.96 DK - 19.56 This one has to be a mistake in pricing and I am not just saying that as a Jays fan. He came over to the Jays before the 2020 season and was fantastic posting the 8th best ERA(2.69) among qualified pitchers a season removed from leading the entire majors in ERA(2.32) in his last season with the Dodgers. he isn't going to blow you away with power or provide slate-breaking upside but is extremely efficient and faces a Texas team who may be Top 10 in hitting overall to this point but continue to struggle vs. left-handed pitching and Ryu is a great one. He is a great play in all formats. Catcher/First Base Rhys Hoskins FD - 1B 3700 DK - 1B 4900 Opponent - NYM (David Peterson) Park - PHI FD - 12.28 DK - 9.03 Hard not to lead off with Hoskins at first, at least on Draftkings where he is under $5K. Hoskins has been red-hot to start the year as he entered Tuesday with a four-game hit streak including three doubles and while he got the night off, entered as a pinch hitter and extended that hit streak to...

Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Welcome back to another full day of baseball. We have a mix of early slates between the two sites so for this article, I will be looking at my top plays at each position for the main slate on DraftKings and FanDuel. Let's get started. Pitchers Tyler Glasnow FD - P 10700 DK - SP 9100 Opponent - BOS (Martin Perez) Park - BOS FD - 37.7 DK - 20.85 The main slate is not short of top pitching options as most teams' rotations are turning over for the first time. I will start with Tyler Glasnow who was dazzling on opening day going six innings, allowing just one hit, and striking six while walking zero batters. While this game doesn't have the lowest total(8.5) nor are the Rays the biggest favorites(-141) but Glasnow has big time K stuff(38% in 2020) and faces a Red Sox team who have only scored five runs through three games going into Monday with.205 team wOBA. There is an argument to go elsewhere on FanDuel where Glasnow is 2nd in salary but on DraftKings, he is my top pitcher in the low $9K range. Clayton Kershaw FD - P 9000 DK - SP 9500 Opponent - OAK (Chris Bassitt) Park - OAK FD - 36.62 DK - 19.88 Kershaw got a tough draw to start the season pitching in Coors and looked a bit rusty as well giving up 10 hits and five earned runs while striking out just two batters. I am not overlooking that opening day performance but I am not overly concerned as the price has not budged at all on either site and he faces an Athletics team that has struggled offensively scoring just nine runs in their first four games while striking out 26% of the time. I look for a big bounce-back game from Kershaw and he is in play for me in all formats. Catcher/First Base Vladimir Guerrero Jr. FD - 1B 3000 DK - 1B/3B 4400 Opponent - TEX (Dane Dunning) Park - TEX FD - 12.09 DK - 9.17 Nate Lowe FD - 1B 3300 DK - 1B 3800 Opponent - TOR (Tanner Roark) Park - TEX FD - 10.21 DK - 7.72 At first base, I love turning to the Jays/Rangers game as we get two options in the mid-tier. Let's start with Vladdy Jr. who came into this season in *coughs* much better shape...

Pitchers Jacob deGrom FD - P 11000 DK - SP 10700 Opponent - PHI (Matt Moore) Park - PHI FD - 42.1 DK - 24.17 With the Mets' opening day postponed (thanks, Covid), their perennially Cy Young candidate gets to make his opening debut against the rival Philadelphia Phillies on Monday. There is a particularly interesting dynamic at play here concerning the match-up. While the rest of the league is pairing similar starters against one another, deGrom will go up against Matt Moore. Yes, that Matt Moore. The one who hasn't pitched in the Majors since 2019, and hasn't cleared a sub 5 xFIP since 2016. As a result, deGrom is a huge favorite here, and since he's the only thing remotely resembling an ace on this slate, you can sign him up for the highest overall cash game ownership by a mile. Dustin May FD - P 6800 DK - SP 8800 Opponent - OAK (Frankie Montas) Park - OAK FD - 39.18 DK - 20.76 Justus Sheffield FD - P 7200 DK - SP 7500 Opponent - CHW (Carlos Rodón) Park - SEA FD - 29.62 DK - 14.76 After deGrom, it's a big run of fourth starters. Generally, fourth starters are pretty damned bad, and today's crop is no exception. It basically comes down to these two and Frankie Montas, who is probably unplayable on account of going up against the ridiculous Dodgers offense. So where do we lean between May and Sheffield? They are actually fairly similar. Neither has established big-time strikeout stuff at the Major League level, instead relying upon an ability to generate groundballs to support their endeavors. If I have to pick one, I'm going with May. The A's have scored 7 (!) runs in their first three games, and the Dodgers prolific offense means he is more likely than Sheffield to get the win. Still, Sheffield is a pitcher to keep an eye on going forward. Catcher/First Base Pete Alonso FD - 1B 3700 DK - 1B 4800 Opponent - PHI (Matt Moore) Park - PHI FD - 11.21 DK - 8.33 We'll be stacking against Moore as well as we can today, so why not starting with the Mets' mashing first baseman? Alonso has a career .872 OPS against southpaws, and honestly, it looks for all the world like he's running bad against them. He has just a .250 BABIP in his...

Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Ian Anderson FD 9000 DK 9800 Opponent - PHI (Zach Eflin) Park - PHIFD - 35.2 DK - 18.31 He has the best peripherals on the slate coming off an age-21 season that saw him striking out more than 11 batters per nine. The 3.9 BB/9 rate was a little bit of an issue which lowered the distance he could go into games. But from a K-upside standpoint, he has the best chance of a monster on this slate. The matchup against the Phillies isn't a great one but in terms of talent, he and Tarik Skubal are the guys here. They are just both in tougher matchups with lower win probabilities. Garrett Richards FD - P 6300 DK - SP 8900 Opponent - BAL (Bruce Zimmermann) Park - BOSFD - 30.22 DK - 15.47 Garrett Richards made the move to Boston in the off-season and will get the start on Sunday. He draws a very good matchup against the Orioles and comes in as a -171 favorite. the Orioles have been a strikeout-happy team in the past and get especially thin down at the bottom of the lineup. He wasn’t amazing in a shortened season last year in San Diego but the previous two years saw him striking out more than 11 batters per nine. The velocity was fine, he just leaned on the slider a little more than in previous seasons. I still think this is a good cash play on the Sunday slate considering the state of pitching. Zach Davies FD - P 8200 DK - SP 7900 Opponent - PIT (Mitch Keller) Park - CHCFD - 29.81 DK - 14.3 Davies showed some strikeout improvement last season thanks to moving away from his fastball a bit and relying a little more on the changeup. He got the K’s up to over eight per nine and on Sunday has a solid matchup against the Pirates. Pittsburgh is among the worst offenses in the league right now giving Davies a high floor. He’s a -164 favorite in Wrigley and the only thing we are waiting on for this as a play is to see which direction the wind is blowing around game time. I don’t mind Brady Singer (FD $7500 DK $8700) in this spot either. He’s coming off a season of 8.53 k/9 and has a good matchup against the Rangers. Aaron Civale (FD $8400 DK $9600)...
