Pitchers Corbin Burnes FD 10900 DK 10600 Opponent - PIT (Roansy Contreras) Park - PITFD - 42.36 DK - 24.16 Corbin Burnes and Gerrit Cole have seemed to always pitch on the same day this season and that’s often led us to decide between them on a given slate. Luckily, they’ve both been excellent and today is something of another close call. Burnes faces off against the Pirates who rank 28th in the league in team offense and strikeout 25.2% of the time, second most in baseball. Meanwhile, Burnes has been an ace’s ace once again, striking out 11.5 batters per nine and rocking a 2.78 xFIP with a 2.41 ERA. He’s a -204 favorite and the Pirates have the lowest implied run line of the main slate. Chris Bassitt FD 9800 DK 9800 Opponent - TEX (Glenn Otto) Park - TEXFD - 38.65 DK - 21.27 While Cole is a perfectly reasonable, and pretty much excellent second choice here, you can sake $1K on DraftKings by moving down to Bassitt against the Rangers. The Mets are -200 home favorites against Texas who rank in the bottom-third in team wOBA this season. Bassitt, for his part, is striking out close to 9.5 batters per nine on the season with a 3.56 xFIP. He isn’t in the elite class of arms, but he’s not too far behind. And like I said, getting that little bit of savings compared to Cole can help roster another quality bat or two. And, of course, Gerrit Cole (FD $10600 DK $10800) is an excellent option on this slate. Catcher/First Base C.J. Cron FD 4100 DK 5100 Opponent - ARI (Merrill Kelly) Park - ARIFD - 16.92 DK - 12.72 With an 11.5 implied run line, this game has easily the most projected scoring of the day and it isn’t all that close. It is a full two runs more than the second-closest game. That’s going to mean a lot of exposure to Coors as long as we can fit the salaries. Cron is putting together an excellent season with an .882 OPS and 17 home runs. He’s been particularly good at Coors where he has a 1.067 OPS this season and 13 of his home runs have come there. He’s expensive, but this is a great spot against Kelly. Carlos Santana FD 2400 DK 3300 Opponent - OAK (James Kaprielian) Park - OAKFD...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Thursday 6/30/22

Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Logan Gilbert FD 10400 DK 9500 Opponent - OAK (Adrian Martinez) Park - OAK FD - 40.65 DK - 22.79 It's a rough night if you are wanting to target top pitching as almost every one of them has a matchup against a top offence. All but Logan Gilbert that is as he gets one of the best matchups on the board against an A's team that is 2nd to last in runs scored and dead last in average, wOBA, and wRC+ on the season. For Gilbert, he has taken his game to the next level in year two as he enters the night with a sparkling 2.44 ERA/3.63 xFIP and is striking out over a batter per inning. He is my top pitcher on both sites and in play in all formats. Graham Ashcraft FD 9000 DK 8000 Opponent - CHC (Kyle Hendricks) Park - CHC FD - 26.39 DK - 13.8 Get ready for some risk at the SP2 spot on DraftKings tonight. The system loves the PTS/$ value with Kikuchi but I will keep that roller coaster ride for GPP formats. For cash games, I have much more faith in Ashcraft who has put together a very solid rookie campaign. He has held opponents to two or fewer earned runs in five of seven starts and flashed his upside last time out striking out eight Giants and walking none. The rubber match of this series is a pickem in Vegas but I like the matchup against a league-average Cubs offence and will have exposure to Ashcraft in all formats. Also Consider: Yusei Kikuchi(TOR) for even more saving at the SP2 position but strap in as the variance has been off the charts. The good news is that the Rays strike out about 6-7% more against left-handed pitching Catcher/First Base Vladimir Guerrero Jr. FD 4100 DK 5100 Opponent - TB (Jeffrey Springs) Park - TB FD - 10.37 DK - 7.81 He is coming off an 0 for 2 yesterday but Vladdy has really started to find his swing over the last month hitting .294 in June with nine home runs and 22 RBI. The matchup is unclear at this time as it could also be Drew Rasmussen returning from the IL but either way, it is hard to ignore the high floor and ceiling with Vladdy at a trending price that has dropped $1,000 on DraftKings in...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Wednesday, 6/28/22

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Wednesday, 6/28/22 Tuesday was a strange day for me. I had an amazing betting day but really struggled with DFS. That's a rare occurrence, but the high scores in DFS are a major reason why. That's why we love to play in single-entry tournaments because it's nearly impossible to compete when opponents drop 250 points. It does have me motivated to bounce back here, though, so let's get started with one of the most consistent pitchers in baseball! Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB, NBA, PGA, NHL, and NFL optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Sandy Alcantara FD - P 11000 DK - SP 10000 Opponent - STL (Andre Pallante) Park - STL FD - 37.13 DK - 19.56 It's impressive just how good this guy has become. Alcantara might be starting the All-Star Game for the NL, providing a 1.95 ERA and 0.95 WHIP this season. What makes him so good is his consistency, throwing at least seven innings in each of his last nine starts. Sandy's also got a 1.40 ERA and 0.76 WHIP in that span, scoring at least 36 FanDuel points in 12 of his 15 starts. That's one of the highest floors you'll see, and it should continue in a pitcher's park like Busch Stadium. The Cardinals do have a dangerous offense, but most of their elite batters hit from the right side, and Alcantara should be able to hold them down with the platoon advantage in his favor. Alex Wood FD - P 8100 DK - SP 9500 Opponent - DET (Rony García) Park - SF FD - 35.01 DK - 18.56 This is a risky play, but Wood's advanced numbers tell a different story. The funky left-hander has a 5.05 ERA and 1.37 WHIP in one of the worst seasons of his career, but we're talking about a pitcher who had a 3.50 ERA and 1.22 WHIP for his career coming into the season. The advanced numbers tell us he's the same guy, posting a 3.44 xFIP and 3.64 SIERA. That means positive regression is right around the corner, and it could start at home against one of the worst offenses in baseball. The Motor City Kitties rank 29th in both OBP and OPS while scoring the fewest runs in the league. Vegas agrees, making Wood a -210 favorite, with Detroit projected for only 3.5 runs. Jameson Taillon (FD $9200 DK $9100) has a 3.19 ERA and 1.11 WHIP this season and enters this fantastic matchup as a -300 favorite. Catcher/First Base...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Tuesday 6/28/22 - Main Slate Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB, NBA, PGA, NHL, and NFL optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Carlos Rodón FD 10600 DK 10400 Opponent - DET (Tarik Skubal) Park - DETFD - 40.65 DK - 22.5 With a game in Coors, it can always get a little weird paying all the way up for pitching, but Rodon is one of the guys to considering do just such a thing based on how good he’s been this season. He’s striking out batters at a 31% clip and has been able to limit the walks to under 9%. He’s got a 2.70 ERA with a 3.11 xFIP and comes into this game as a -190 home favorite against the Tigers who have the second-worst team wOBA in the league this season and strike out 24% of the time. This is all lined up to be a great cash game spot for Rodon. Shane Baz FD 7200 DK 7600 Opponent - MIL (Brandon Woodruff) Park - MILFD - 36.65 DK - 20 If you are looking to go a little cheaper with the pitching in order to fit in some of those higher-priced bats then Baz could be the guy. While he isn’t a huge favorite against the Brewers (-121), this game has a very love 7.0 over/under. Baz definitely has strikeout stuff, having put down 15 batters in his first 13 major league innings. He’s even been able to go six innings in one of his starts. He’s coming cheap on both sites and really does fit the bill as a cash game pitcher with a little risk if you are looking to stack some Coors bats. Catcher/First Base Freddie Freeman FD 4500 DK 5900 Opponent - COL (Kyle Freeland) Park - COLFD - 14.79 DK - 11.14 Will Smith FD 3900 DK 5700 Opponent - COL (Kyle Freeland) Park - COLFD - 15.08 DK - 11.22 All right, get ready to see this article piled with Dodgers, as well it should be considering they are heading into their second game in Coors. It was a disappointing effort considering they were shut out the first game, but we really can’t let that deter us here. Freeman should hit second in the order facing off against the lefty Freeland, and the former is once again putting together an excellent season even if the power numbers are a bit down. This is the worse side of his split, though he’s still well better than average for his career...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Monday 6/27/22

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Monday 6/27/22 Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB, NBA, PGA, NHL, and NFL optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Jordan Montgomery FD - P 9200 DK - SP 8000 Opponent - OAK (Paul Blackburn) Park - NYY FD - 36.51 DK - 19.49 While FanDuel appears to know how to price pitchers on a small slate, DraftKings is struggling tonight with two of the top options massively underpriced considering the size of the slate. Let's start with Montgomery who opens as a -300 home favourite against an A's team that ranks bottom three in almost every statistical category. Monty is coming off his worst start of the season on the road in Tampa but the good news is that he has been much better at home averaging close to seven DK points more per game. All things considered, he is our top cash game pitcher on this slate. George Kirby FD - P 9000 DK - SP 7100 Opponent - BAL (Tyler Wells) Park - SEA FD - 35.49 DK - 18.97 Looking at the model on my cheatsheet, Kirby comes in at #1 tonight so seeing that $7,100 price tag on DraftKings has me salivating big time. The Mariners' first-round pick in 2019 made his way to the big leagues in a hurry and has been more everything they expected and enters Monday with a 3.12 ERA/3.40 xFIP through nine starts. He has also flashed the elite K stuff he showed in the minors as he has struck out six or more in five of his nine starts. The Orioles haven't been AS bad as everyone expected but are still a bottom 10 offence overall and have struck out over 26% of the time over the last week. I will have exposure in all formats as he provides more PTS/$ upside than Montgomery. Catcher/First Base Freddie Freeman FD - 1B 4500 DK - 1B 5800 Opponent - COL (Chad Kuhl) Park - COL FD - 17.94 DK - 13.52 The Dodgers head into Colorado tonight and with the balanced pitching approach I went over above it shouldn't be too hard to get exposure tonight, at least on DraftKings. Freeman is a former MVP and once again tearing the cover off the ball as he enters Monday with hits in 10 straight bringing his average up over .300 on the season. Tonight, he faces Chad Kuhl who has allowed a ton of baserunners(1.89 WHIP last 8 starts) and has given up almost 8% more hard contact to lefties. Fire...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Sunday, 6/26/22

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Sunday, 6/26/22 I wasn't able to play DFS on Saturday because of some prior obligations, but that's allowing me to recharge my batteries for this Sunday slate. There's actually one pitcher on the board who could be in the best spot all season, so let's start there! Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB, NBA, PGA, NHL, and NFL optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Shane McClanahan FD - P 11400 DK - SP 10300 Opponent - PIT (Roansy Contreras) Park - TB FD - 46.66 DK - 25.86 It's hard to predict 50 FanDuel points from a player, but McClanahan has that in his bag here. The rookie left-hander has been one of the best pitchers in baseball, providing a 1.81 ERA, 0.85 WHIP, and 13.0 K/9 rate this season. Those all have him as one of the favorites for AL Cy Young, with Shane scoring at least 29 FanDuel points in all 14 of his starts. That makes him a worthy play against anyone but facing Pittsburgh is brilliant. The Pirates rank 28th in runs scored, OBP, OPS, and wOBA this season. That's why Mac is a -220 favorite in a game with a 6.5-run total. Brady Singer FD - P 8500 DK - SP 8100 Opponent - OAK (James Kaprielian) Park - KC FD - 31.83 DK - 16.43 This is the far riskier option of these two, but we love Singer in this spot. The right-hander has been excellent outside of one dud against Houston, totaling a 2.63 ERA, 1.04 WHIP, and 8.8 K/9 rate over his last nine starts, if you take out that one stinker. That's all you can hope for from an $8K player, and we're willing to ignore that blowup because Oakland is obviously a much easier matchup than Houston. In fact, the A's rank bottom-two in runs scored, OBP, OPS, xwOBA, and wOBA. All of that has Singer entering this matchup as a -170 favorite, with the A's projected for fewer than four runs. Dylan Cease (FD $10500 DK $9600) is averaging 22 DraftKings points per game this season and should continue that against a 26th-ranked Baltimore offense. Catcher/First Base Paul Goldschmidt FD - 1B 4300 DK - 1B 6100 Opponent - CHC (Alec Mills) Park - STL FD - 12.77 DK - 9.68 Goldshmidt is the frontrunner for NL MVP, and he's simply the hottest hitter in baseball right now. He's flirting with a .450 OBP and 1.300 OPS over his last 10 games played but has been doing severe...
