I love the overseas cards because I can watch a main event and it's not 12:30 am on the east coast. It really is the little things. Anyway, this card has some hidden DFS value and heavyweight clashes in the co-main and main events, what more could you ask for? Another winning week? Let’s see what we can do. VEGAS FAVORITE ($10,500+) Kyoji Horiguchi ($10,700) Vegas Line: -550 Career Record: 16-2 UFC Record: 5-1 Record In Last 5: 4-1 Finishes: 9 KO / 1 Sub / 5 First-Round Losses by Stoppage: 1 Sub Last Time Out: W, Unanimous Decision – Chico Camus I know I preach to lean on the heavyweights (and you’ll see one below) but I love the flyweight favorite in this one, Kyoji Horiguchi. A former title contender, Horiguchi has ripped through the Flyweight division with the exception of his fifth round loss to Demetrios Johnson, but everyone loses to Mighty Mouse. Horiguchi has good finish potential for his weight class and is fighting just an average guy in Neil Seery, so I’m loading up on the 25-year old Japanese product of American Top Team. MID-RANGE TARGET ($9,500-$10,400) Alistair Overeem ($10,300) Vegas Line: -220 Career Record: 40-14, 1 NC UFC Record: 5-3 Record In Last 5: 4-1 Finishes: 17 KO / 19 Subs / 31 First-Round Losses by Stoppage: 9 KO / 2 Subs Last Time Out: W, 2nd Round TKO – Junior dos Santos Heavyweights in the main event, you almost have to use this bout in your lineup. Overeem is the smart play as he fights in his home country and is coming off one of the most impressive wins of his long, long career after finishing Junior dos Santos. Andrei Arlovski was knocked out in the first round of his last fight by Stipe Miocic and I think Overeem could duplicate that perofrmance and put himself in line for his own title shot. UPSET ALERT (UNDER $9,500) Jon Tuck ($8,600) Vegas Line: -145 Career Record: 9-2 UFC Record: 3-2 Record In Last 5: 3-2 Finishes: 4 KO / 4 Subs /...

Click Here to Purchase MMA Lineups UFC 197 is set for Saturday night and even with a change to the main event this is shaping up to be one hell of a card. Jon Jones returns to the Octagon, the (in my opinion) best pound for pound fighter in the world Demetrious Johnson is in action, along with both of the Pettis brothers. Back-to-back strong showings for us at DFSR, let's dig in and make it three straight. Vegas Favorite ($10,500+) Demetrious Johnson ($11,000) Vegas Line: -420 Career Record: 23-2-1 UFC Record: 11-1-1 Record In Last 5: 5-0 Finishes: 4 KO / 9 Subs / 8 First-Round Losses by Stoppage: None Last Time Out: W, Unanimous Decision - John Dodson I could have gone with Jon Jones here but being out of action for over a year gives me a nano second of hesitation. On the other Demetrious "Mighty Mouse" Johnson has dominated the Flyweight division and gives me no reason to doubt he will put away Cejudo. Though Cejudo is talented and undefeated, Johnson simply overwhelms everyone at 125 lbs and I just don't see how this one is any different. Mid-Range Target ($9,500-$10,400) Marcos Rogerio de Lima ($10,000) Vegas Line: -135 Career Record: 13-3-1 UFC Record: 2-1 Record In Last 5: 3-1-1 Finishes: 10 KO / 1 Sub / 10 First-Round Losses by Stoppage: 1 KO / 1 Sub Last Time Out: L, Submission (RNC), 1st Rd - Nikita Krylov It's power vs. power in this one as Marcos "Pezao" Rogerio de Lima takes on Clint Hester in a battle of TUF alumn. Pezao is the better all-around fighter and looking to bounce back from his first UFC loss after two straight first-round knockouts. Hester has been knocked out in both of his last two outings and I think his struggles continue at UFC 197, which could mark his last bout in the promotion. Upset Alert (Under $9,500) Glacio Franco ($8,500) Vegas Line: +160 Career Record: 13-3 UFC Record: 1-0 Record In Last 5: 4-1 Finishes: 6 KO / 6 Subs / 8 First-Round Losses by Stoppage: 1 Sub Last Time Out: W, Submission (RNC), 3rd Rd - Fernando Bruno With two guys that everyone will want to play (Jones and Johnson) Franco presents a great opportunity to make up salary while still giving you a chance to get some bonus points. Daily Fantasy MMA Picks for UFC on FOX 19 – 4/16/16 DFSR is proud to bring you Shaun Ihasz. He'll be providing MMA picks, analysis, and breakdowns to help you cash on DraftKings. Give him a follow on Twitter @ShaunEyeHas Want to see how these picks and more fit into lineups for UFC Fight Night 86? Shaun is selling lineups for only $5 for DraftKings Cash Games & Tournaments. Just click the button below, this is a separate service than our traditional monthly membership. Click Here to Purchase MMA Lineups We're back after a 3-0 showing last week in Croatia as the UFC returs to the USA for a Fox primetime card headlined by Glover Teixeira and Rashad Evans. Typical as of late, this card has been shuffled up and down in every direction, including Lyoto Machida's bout being scratched after he admitted to taking a banned substance. No more intro, let's get right to hopefully repeating last week's performance. I'll be checking the comment section right up until lineup lock to talk about all things UFC on Fox 19. VEGAS FAVORITE ($10,500+) Khabib Nurmagomedov ($11,400) Vegas Line: -1100 Career Record: 22-0 UFC Record: 6-0 Record In Last 5: 5-0 Finishes: 7 KO / 7 Subs / 10 First-Round Losses by Stoppage: None Last Time Out: W, Unanimous Decision - Rafael dos Anjos He's back from injury and ready to continue his destruction of the lightweight decision. This is a match up that requires you to look through the research available in my cheat sheet and just know that Nurmagomedov is just at a different level of MMA than Darrell Horcher. As a -1100 favorite he will cost you a pretty penny at $11,400 on DraftKings but he should be a relatively safe play to score enough points to make up for the salary. If you play smart, you should be able to roster Nurmagomedov in both cash games and GPPs. MID-RANGE TARGET ($9,500-$10,400) Glover Teixeira ($10,300) Vegas Line: -225 Career Record: 24-4 UFC Record: 6-0 Record In Last 5: 7-2 Finishes: 14 KO / 7 Subs / 16 First-Round Losses by Stoppage: 1 KO Last Time Out: W, 2nd Round TKO - Patrick Cummins Basic strategy says to key-in on the main event simply because a five round bout gives you more opportunity to score points. That's true, if Teixeira doesn't KO Rashad Evans first. Glover and Evans are the same age but "Suga" appears to be wearing down faster. Glover went the distance with both Jon Jones and Phil Davis before his most recent stretch of two straight stoppage victories. At $10,300 Teixeira presents good value to rack up points whether it's a five round decision or bonus points with an early KO. UPSET ALERT (Under $9,500) Tecia Torres ($9,200) Vegas Line: +210...

UFC Fight Night 85 Two weeks without a UFC card, that was torture! But we’re back after a wild, upset-filled UFC 196 card and heading down under for UFC Fight Night 85 from Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. The lineup has been shuffled several times but one thing remains, I like A LOT of underdogs. That tends to happen with the overseas cards, picking favorites can be tricky, and those with stoppage potential gets even harder. Let’s dive in and try to sort out this mess. One more thing: I'll be checking the comments section all week, or get me on Twitter, to talk about all things UFC 196 heading into lineup lock. Heavy Favorites ($10,500+) Alan Patrick Silva Alves ($10,800) With all the great value plays this week, you shouldn’t need to fade any of the heavy favorites. The problem is, where the hell do you go for safety on this card? I’m starting with the very first fight of the night with Alan Patrick Silva Alves, simply listed as Alan Patrick on DraftKings. Patrick is 12-1 with six career finishes and looking to bounce back from his first career loss. Patrick is relatively unimpressive but across from him will be Damien Brown, a guy making his UFC debut on short-notice. That’s a recipe for disaster if you ask me. Brown was in a three-round fight less than a month ago. It’s a great opportunity for the 31-year old Aussie but Patrick’s UFC experience should serve him well on the way to a victory. Alan Jouban ($11,200) It’s an all-Alan write-up for the favorites. Jouban could be a chalky play because of the strong underdogs but he’s definitely worth mentioning. “Brahama” is 3-2 in his UFC career with two first-round knockouts to his credit. Jouban steps into the cage with Brendan O’Reilly, 1-1 in his UFC career and someone I don’t think can finish opponents at the highest level of MMA. The odds makers love Jouban and on this occasion I agree with them, he seems to have the advantage against O’Reilly anywhere the fight goes. Mid-Tier Targets ($9,500 -...
Daily Fantasy MMA Picks for UFC Fight Night 83 – 2/20/16
Daily Fantasy MMA Picks for UFC Fight Night 83 - 2/20/16 Editor's Note: Welcome MMA contributor Shaun Ihasz. Give him a follow on Twitter @ShaunEyeHas We’re back after a huge 5-1 outing two weeks ago, including four wins by stoppage. Now we are staring at the barrel of three straight weeks of Fantasy MMA. What could be better!? Let the excitement fade because the start of this stretch could be a complete snooze fest. UFC Fight Night 83 is tricky up and down the lineup with something, in terms of fantasy, that bothers me about most of the favorites. With that said, I changed the format of the picks this week…let’s try and duplicate our last showing and make some more money. Playing other daily fantasy sports like NBA or NHL. Go ahead and get access to the exclusive projection system that produces all of our picks. Sign up now and get our lineup construction tool for FanDuel & DraftKings. Click here to sign up Vegas Favorites Chris Camozzi ($10,500) Tons of experience in this one as Camozzi and Joe Riggs have combined for 89 professional MMA fights. Camozzi’s 22 wins are 19 less than Riggs, but he’s simply the better fighter. Camozzi is a UFC veteran, 3-1 in his last four fights with two opening round stoppages. Riggs has bounced around the other promotions throughout his career and is lucky to still be in the UFC. He’s 1-2 since joining the promotion in December of 2014 but that win came via DQ thanks to an illegal upkick. Camozzi should dispatch Riggs and send him out of the UFC - roster him in all formats. Cody Garbrandt ($11,000) I have a huge amount of love for Cody “No Love” Garbrandt, the undefeated 24-year old is 7-0 with six career finishes. Garbrandt is 2-0 in the UFC and this could be the fight where he gets his first early stoppage in the big time. The young bantamweight draws UFC newbie and BJJ specialist Augusto Mendes. Menden can be dangerous and holds a 5-0 record with four submission victories. I don’t think he’ll have that success with Garbrandt and “No Love” gives you a great chance at the 100 point first-round win bonus. Marion Reneau ($10,300) Reneau had a five fight win streak snapped in her last outing, but that came against the newly crowned queen of MMA, Holly Holm. “The Bruiser” has four wins by stoppage in her last six fights and is 2-1 in her UFC career. Her experience should come in handy in this fight and the 38 year old needs to make something happen now if she ever hopes to get into the title picture. This pick...
Daily Fantasy MMA Picks for UFC Fight Night 82 – 2/6/16
Daily Fantasy MMA Picks for UFC Fight Night 82 - 2/6/16 Editor's Note: Welcome MMA contributor Shaun Ihasz. Give him a follow on Twitter @ShaunEyeHas Fantasy MMA is active for a second straight week! Our picks are here just in time for Ryan Bader to read them – assuming he’s woken up from the nap he took on Saturday thanks to Rumble Johnson. Anyway, UFC Fight Night 82 was supposed to be a PPV (UFC 196) but injuries have changed the card more times than we can count. What’s left is a Fox Sports 1 event with massive favorites and from a DFS perspective, very limited value plays. This intro has already lasted longer than the Johnson/Bader main event so let’s just get down to business. Playing other daily fantasy sports like NBA or NHL. Go ahead and get access to the exclusive projection system that produces all of our picks. Sign up now and get our lineup construction tool for FanDuel & DraftKings. Click here to sign up Vegas Favorites ($10,500+) Misha Cirkunov ($11,000) The biggest favorite (almost -875 at time of writing!) and most expensive fighter available is a must-play. It’s simple really, Cirkunov consistently hits the jackpot for DFS players, first-round finishes. In his last five fights, the Lativan has stopped all of his opponents inside of five minutes. Better yet, he’s fighting Alex Nicholson, a kid making his UFC debut with no experience fighting anywhere other than Florida or Georgia. I can smell a first round TKO, the only downside is Cirkunov will probably be the highest owned fighter in any format. Play him or you will probably be starting in a hole. Ovince St. Preux ($10,700) I love watching “OSP” fight and just like Cirkunov he has a habit of finishing people. The Knoxville MMA product is 5-2 in his last seven fights with, you guessed it, all of those wins coming via stoppage. Those two losses were to Glover Texiera and the still groggy Ryan Bader, who in all seriousness are two of the top guys in the LHW division. St. Preux steps into the cage with Rafael Cavalcante, 1-3 in his last four fights and a guy whose ranking of #13 at Light Heavyweight is as rational as an Ozzy Osbourne sentence. Caution: I’m staying away from Joseph Benavidez. Yes, his only two losses are against the (IMO) best pound-for-pound fighter on the planet in Demetrious Johnson. But, it’s a flyweight fight and Benavidez fits the stereotype of the division – fast action, no finishes. He should win, but I don’t like the fantasy value for his $10,800 salary. Mid-Range Targets ($9,000-$10,400) Derrick Lewis ($9,700) This is where things get dicey. “The...
