He picked up his first career Camping World Truck series win at the paper clip on Saturday afternoon leading 123 of 255 laps in the race. On Sunday he dominated again, leading 352 laps on his way to his first Sprint Cup series win at Martinsville. Kyle wasn't a main pick last week but an honorable mention, however I failed to have enough exposure limiting my success last week. Shame on me! Looking at a few of my other picks, early favorite Jimmie Johnson didn't lead a lap but closed with another Top 10 here at Martinsville. Denny Hamlin , another favorite to win, wheel hopped into the wall around half way through the race and ended up in 39th.  This one really hurt as I had about 60% exposure to the #11 team. A swap of Kyle for Hamlin would have been huge as my value plays in Brian Vickers and AJ Allmendinger paid off in a big way. Allmendinger finished 2nd behind Kyle and Vickers came in 7th. Overall the picks looked good and just missed on a big cash. All in all a positive week. Let's carry it over into Texas. This week the drivers get back to a mile and a half track and the new rules package when they head to Fort Worth, Texas for the Duck Commander 500 at Texas Motor Speedway. It is one of the older intermediate track and fastest on the circuit. The drivers love racing here as it has multiple lanes and presents a ton of passing opportunities which should only increase with the new rules package. It should...

Daily Fantasy NASCAR Picks for DraftKings & FantasyFeud – STP 500

Click here to sign up STP 500 Martinsville Speedway - Martinsville, Virginia Track - .526 Mile Short Track 12° Banking in the Corners After the Easter break and a week off from NASCAR we are back for more exciting action in the Sprint Cup Series. This week the haulers head to Martinsville, Virgina for the STP 500. Martinsville Speedway is half mile short track that is nicknamed the "Paper Clip" due to its shape. It has very little banking(12°) and the only way to pass is to use your car as a weapon. You will see more bumping and banging here than almost any other track. Denny Hamlin won the spring race here last year holding off Brad Keselowski on the final laps then performed a great burnout. Check out the final laps below:   You might remember the fall race at Martinsville a tad bit more, especially if you are a Jeff Gordon, Joey Logano or Matt Kenseth fan. Joey Logano was well on his way to a victory in the Round 0f 8 during last years Chase for the Sprint Cup. That was until Matt Kenseth decided to extract his revenge for being taken out two weeks prior at Kansas. It was that wreck that allowed Jeff Gordon to pick up the win(the last of his amazing career) and punch his ticket in the Final Four of the Chase in his final season in NASCAR. For fantasy purposes, it is again another great GPP week. Almost no driver is safe from contact even the lead drivers who will catch lap traffic fairly quickly on a green flag run. It is very tough to pass making it very hard to find value in drivers who qualify near the back. If you are going to take a risk on a guy starting back make sure he is experienced in Matrinsville. The pole winner has led...

Daily Fantasy NASCAR Picks for DraftKings & FantasyFeud – Auto Club 400

Click here to sign up Auto Club 400 Auto Club Speedway - Fontana, California Track - 2 Mile D-Shaped Oval Superspeedway 14° Banking in the Corners   Another terrific race is in the books following the Good Sam 500 last weekend at Phoenix. Kevin Harvick picked up the checkered flag as he beat out Carl Edwards in another photo finish. That is now two of the eight closest finishes in NASCAR history in the first four races this season. Have a look for yourself. I mean what more could we ask for? The racing product NASCAR is putting out there is fantastic for everyone involved. The new rules package has made it easier for drivers to get to the rear of another car and make a pass keeping the field closer together. Goodyear should also get a pat on the back with the new tires they have rolled out for teams. It has brought a ton of strategy back to the crew chiefs as the tires are falling off a lot faster during green flag runs. A great example of this was three weeks ago at Atlanta. Jimmie Johnson and the #48 team pitted early on a green flag run with about 40 laps to go in an attempt to gain advantage over the field, barring their be no caution flag. The race stayed green and the #48 had built a huge lead(10+ seconds) and held on for the win. If this keeps up we are in for one hell of a season. This weekend should be no different when it comes to exciting racing as the NASCAR haulers made the short trip west to Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California for the Auto Club 400. The track is a 2 mile Intermediate/Superspeedway with 14° banking in the corners and can be best compared to Michigan. What makes racing so great here is the width of the track....

Daily Fantasy NASCAR Picks for DraftKings & FantasyFeud – Good Sam 500

Click here to sign up Good Sam 500 Phoenix International Raceway - Avondale, Arizona Track - 1 Mile Tri Oval Short Track with 9-11° Banking in the Corners It was Brad Keselowski passing Kyle Busch with six laps to go to take home the checkered flag at the Kobalt 400 in Las Vegas last weekend. The drivers battled more than each other on Sunday as Las Vegas experienced higher than normal winds and even seen a giant sand storm that lasted several minutes. If you missed the race you can check out a quick recap video from NASCAR.com below:   We are now three races into the 2016 NASCAR season and the Top 12 in standings are as follows: #18 Kyle Busch #48 Jimmie Johnson #4 Kevin Harvick #22 Joey Logano #41 Kurt Busch #2 Brad Keselowski #19 Carl Edwards #11 Denny Hamlin #78 Martin Truex Jr. #3 Austin Dillon Not much for surprises until we get to the 10 spot where Austin Dillon sits. He has been terrific in the #3 RCR Chevrolet with one Top 5 and two Top 10 finishes. It is very early in the season and no doubt this weekend will shake the standings up once again. The NASCAR haulers have packed up and headed to Arizona for the Good Sam 500 at Phoenix International Raceway. The track is a 1 Mile Tri Oval Short Track with 9° - 11° of banking in the corners. Phoenix is one of four flat tracks(New Hampshire, Martinsville, Richmond) on the circuit but brings the best comparison to New Hampshire. Similar drivers will have success at these types of tracks. Some say death and taxes are the only guarantee in life. I would add one more. Kevin Harvick will dominate Phoenix. If not for a rain shortened race last fall, he would probably have won his 5th straight race here. If you...

Daily Fantasy NASCAR Picks for DraftKings & FantasyFeud – Kobalt 400 from Las Vegas

Click here to sign up Kobalt 400 Las Vegas Motor Speedway - Las Vegas, Nevada Track - 1.5 Mile D-Shaped Oval Intermediate Track with 20° Banking in the Corners It was another fantastic finish in the Sprint Cup series at Atlanta Motor Speedway last weekend. Jimmie Johnson and the #48 team made a daring short pit(pitting well before the other lead lap cars) which ended up being a huge factor in the win. Jimmie tied Dale Earnhardt Sr. with his 76th career Sprint Cup victory and second straight at Atlanta. Check out the NASCAR.com recap below. It was the first intermediate track this year and it had a feel of old school racing. The new rules package combined with the tires falling off quicker than usual led to loose cars and long green flag runs. It may have seemed boring to most but most true NASCAR fans loved it. Hopefully the momentum from Atlanta can be carried over into this week and provide another exciting and fun race to watch. This week the NASCAR haulers head to the city that never sleeps, Las Vegas. This race will always bring back great memories for me as it was the first race I ever attended back in 2011 when Carl Edwards picked up the victory. The race wasn't even the highlight of the trip(I was actually sad as the #18 went up in flames). It was the next day when I married my best friend. I always joke around with her and tell her it is the race that reminds me of our Anniversary every year but the truth is I will never forget that day for the rest of my life. Ok enough with the sappy intro let's get into the race. Las Vegas Motor Speedway is a 1.5 Mile D-Shaped Oval Intermediate track with 20 degree in the turns. The track has a...

Click here to sign up Folds of Honor Quiktrip 500 Atlanta Motor Speedway - Hampton, Georgia Track -1.54 Mile Quad-Oval Intermediate Track with 24° Banking in the Turns First of all WOW! What a finish at the Daytona 500. Closest in history. If you missed it check out the recap below. The Joe Gibbs Racing team dominated the race at Daytona as Hamlin led 95 laps, Kenseth led 40 laps and Busch led 19 laps. They captured 1st, 3rd, and 5th and 14th(Kenseth was in 1st on final lap until Hamlin made his move). The favorite and most owned driver, Dale Earnhardt Jr. spun and ended up finishing back in 36th. Overall it was another terrific start to the NASCAR season and giving the series momentum as we head in to next week. The NASCAR haulers will now make their way North to Atlanta Motor Speedway for the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 this Sunday. The track is a 1.54 Mile Quad_Oval intermediate track. These intermediate tracks make up close to half the tracks in the 36 race season so we have plenty of data to help us pick out favorites. There is, however a wrinkle in the research this time around. NASCAR has fully implemented a new rules package for the 2016 season. Check out the terrific overview from NASCAR.com. This rules package was tested twice last year at Kentucky and Darlington and it was an overwhelming success. The reduction in the rear spoiler really helped reduce rear down force and produce more passing throughout the races. Although it was a small sample size we did notice a trend in those two races. Joe Gibbs Racing was, by far, the most dominant of the teams. The Kentucky races seen Kyle Busch dominate leading 163 laps en route to the win. His teammates Carl Edwards, Matt Kenseth, and Denny Hamlin all...
