AAA Texas 500 Texas Motor Speedway - Fort Worth, Texas Track - 1.5 Mile Quad Oval Intermediate Track 24° Banking in the Corners What a comeback story this past weekend at Martinsville Speedway. Six time Sprint Cup series champion Jimmie Johnson battled a beat up car and an unscheduled pit stop to claim his ninth grandfather clock on Sunday. Jimmie is now locked into the final in Homestead and will have a great shot at picking up his seventh career championship. Another big story Sunday was the amount of Chase drivers that got caught speeding on pit road. It forced Hamlin, Edwards and Harvick to all have to work their way through the field leaving Edwards in teh biggest hole with two races to go. He is now sitting in 8th in the standings, 32 points behind the cut line. If you missed the race Sunday you can check out the quick recap video from NASCAR.com: With two races remaining in until the final at Homestead pressure is at an ultimate high. Drivers and teams travel to Fort Worth, Texas for the AAA Texas 500 this Sunday afternoon. Texas Motor Speedway is a 1.5 mile intermediate track with 24° banking the turns. Whenever we get to the mile and a half track the key is to get as many top drivers in your lineup as possible. With there being just eight remaining drivers left in the Chase this shouldn't be problem with so many non chasers coming in as top value plays. Let's get to it! The following is the initial schedule for the weekend: First Practice - Friday @ 12:30 p.m. ET Qualifying - Friday @ 6:45 p.m. ET Practice 2 - Saturday @ 10:30 a.m. ET Final Practice - Saturday @ 1:30 p.m. ET Race - Sunday @ 1:00 p.m. ET Are you looking to streamline your research process and spend more time making lineups? Upper Tier Targets ($9,000+) Kyle Busch DraftKings - $10,200 Practice #1 - 22nd Qualified - 24th Practice #2 - 23rd Final Practice - Kyle has cruised along so far in the Chase finishing six of seven races inside the Top 10. If not for strategy at Talladega it could have been seven for seven. He started the Round of 8 last week...

Click Here to Purchase NASCAR Targets Goody's Fast Relief 500 Martinsville Speedway - Martinsville, Virginia Track - .526 Oval Short Track 12° Banking in the Corners The Round of 8 kicks of with a trip to Martinsville for some short track racing this Sunday afternoon. With just four races to go the pressure is mounting as the shot at a Championship is getting closer to becoming a reality for the final eight drivers. The reality is that a win in any of the next three races equals a ticket into the one race, four driver showdown for the chance to be crowned Champion at Homestead, Miami. Looking at teams and manufacturers, Toyota looks to have the upper hand as all four Joe Gibbs Racing cars have made the final eight along with three Chevrolet's(Johnson, Busch, Harvick) and one Ford(Joey Logano). Don't expect any driver to give up anything for a teammate as these races get down to the nitty gritty as it will be every driver for fighting for himself and his team. Martinsville, also known as the "Paperclip", is the shortest track on the circuit and is a very challenging setup with just 12° of banking in the corners. Looking at the historic average finish among active drivers it becomes clear it is a short list of veterans and Sprint Cup champions who consistently do well here. Looking at more current trends there has been a different winner here in each of the last five races. Before that it was future Hall of Fame teammates Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson winning three straight collectively. Speaking of Jeff Gordon, he will be back behind the wheel of Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s #88 car this weekend in what some think could be his final race of his career. Hendrick Motor Sports built him a brand new car for the trip and it sure would be cool to see him win one last Martinsville race. I don't see it happening seeing as he has only recorded one Top 10 in his seven races. Sorry ma! The most important thing for fantasy this weekend will be Qualifying as track position is...

Late in the race it appeared that rookie Chase Elliott was going to grab his first career win after passing Kevin Harvick but a tire issue forced him back down pit road, eventually leaving him with a 31st place finish and 25 points behind the cutline going into an elimination race. If you missed the race be sure to check out the recap below. Speaking of the points here is a look at standings going into the elimination race at Talladega: #48 Jimmie Johnson(3082) #20 Matt Kenseth(3074) #18 Kyle Busch(3072) #19 Carl Edwards(3069) #41 Kurt Busch(3062) #78 Martin Truex Jr.(3058) #4 Kevin Harvick(3048) #22 Joey Logano(3045) #3 Austin Dillon(3045) #11 Denny Hamlin(3039) #2 Brad Keselowski(3038) #24 Chase Elliott(3020) As you can see it is going to be a nail biting race from start to finish this week in Talladega. Chase Elliott has the closest to a win or go home scenario after is late issues last week put him in a big hole. Joey Logano and Austin Dillon sit tied right on the cutline with Denny Hamlin and Brad Keselowski just 6 and 7 points back. Get ready for one of the best races of the entire season. The race you know you have been waiting for. NASCAR heads to Talladega Superspeedway this weekend for the second and most unpredictable race of the Chase for the Sprint Cup playoffs. The 2.5 mile superspeedway always creates exciting racing for the fans and white knuckled racing for 500 miles for the drivers. Superspeedways are a great way to capitalize on some fast cars who start in the back of the field as getting to the front is very attainable with drafting. Both practice sessions come on Friday this week with Qualifying on Saturday so look for teams to hit race trim laps in opening practice and for a portion of the final practice and close out...

Click Here to Purchase NASCAR Targets Bank of America 500 Charlotte Motor Speedway - Concord, North Carolina Track - 1.5 Mile Quad Oval Intermediate Track 24° Banking in the Corners It was Martin Truex Jr. dominating in Dover as the Round of 16 came to an end on Sunday. We now head into the Round of 12 which is definitely one of the most intriguing as the always unpredictable Talladega is the elimination race. Look for drivers and teams to push hard to score a win in the first two races. The second round begins with the points being reset to 3000 for all drivers as they head to Charlotte Motor Speedway for the Bank of America 500 on Saturday night. The weather looks alright for Thursday and teams should easily get in first practice and qualifying. Friday is a different story as early in the week the forecast calls for around 60% of rain in the afternoon which could wreak havoc on the final two practice sessions. Stay tuned for weather updates should something change. The following is the initial schedule for the weekend: First Practice - Thursday @ 1:30 p.m. ET Qualifying - Thursday @ 7:20 p.m. ET Second Practice - Cancelled Final Practice - Cancelled Race - Saturday @ 7:00 .pm. Click Here to Purchase NASCAR Targets Citizen Soldier 400 Dover International Speedway - Dover, DE Track - 1.0 Mile Oval Short Track 24° Banking in the Corners The first elimination race of the 2016 NASCAR Chase for the Sprint Cup is here. The bottom four drivers of the 16 qualified will be eliminated following this weekends race and following Kevin Harvick's win at New Hampshire both he and Martin Truex Jr. have received automatic advancement into the next round. Sitting at the bottom of the standings in the worst positions going into Sunday race are: 16th - Chris Buescher - 2027 pts 15th - Tony Stewart - 2046 pts 14th - Austin Dillon - 2052 pts 13th - Jamie McMurray - 2052 pts and sitting just above the cutline are: 12th - Kyle Larson - 2057 pts 11th - Kurt Busch - 2067 pts 10th - Carl Edwards - 2068 pts 9th - Chase Elliott - 2068 pts So as you can see, things are going to be very tense once again here at Dover. No driver without a win should feel safe as one mistake could lead to an exit from the playoffs. Just ask Jimmie Johnson who had mechanical problems here last year which ended up costing him a shot into the second round. Dover International Speedway is a one mile oval short track with 24°of banking. I have often thought of it as a bigger Bristol as it has steep banking but is twice the size. Track position isn't as important this week drivers can use pit strategy and passing to get through the field and to the front of the pack. In each of the last three races here at least seven drivers have from outside the Top 10 at the start of the race to finish inside the Top 10. I will be looking very closely at practice/qualifying differential value on the cheatsheet and will have the final update for you on Saturday following Final Practice. The following is the initial schedule for the weekend: First Practice - Friday @ 10:00 a.m. ET Qualifying - Friday @ 3:40 p.m. ET Second Practice - Saturday @ 10:30 a.m. ET Final Practice - Saturday @ 1:30 p.m. ET Race...

It came down to pit strategy as the #78 started overtime with four fresh tires and blew by everyone on the restart to grab the checkered flag. Forthe second straight year Kevin Harvick will be fighting adversity early in the Chase after getting caught on pit road during a caution which put him a lap down and eventually finishing 20th and putting him in the 14th position in the standings. Look for things to heat up as the first elimination race is just one week away. This week NASCAR heads to Loudon, New Hampshire for the second race in the Chase for the Sprint Cup. New Hampshire Motor Speedway is a 1.058 Mile Oval flat track. The track can be compared to Phoenix as both are flat one mile tracks and require very similar car setups so I will closely at Phoenix results from March as well as the New Hampshire race from July. Qualifying will also be weighted heavily as track position will be key for drivers to get dominator points. For place differential points I will be looking at the value tab on the cheatsheet showing differential between Qualifying and Practice average. The following is the initial schedule for the weekend: First Practice - Friday @ 11:30 am et Qualifying - Friday @ 4:45 pm et Second Practice - Saturday @ 9:00 am et Final Practice - Saturday @ 11:30 am et Race - Sunday @ 2:00 pm et Are looking to get better as fantasy NASCAR but don't have the time to conduct all the research necessary?
