We've got you completely covered.   Gander Outdoors 400 Pocono Raceway - Long Pond, PA Track - 2.5 Mile Tri-Oval This week the Monster Energy Cup Series travels back to the Tricky Triangle for the Gander Outdoors 400 this Sunday afternoon. Pocono Raceway is one of the most unique tracks in NASCAR with three turns, all different from one another with anywhere from six to 14 degrees of banking. What makes it the most difficult for crew chiefs and teams is the balanced setup that is needed for a driver to have a good car throughout all the turns which makes for some exciting racing. From a fantasy standpoint, this week is much more about track position than anything else. There has been only one driver to lead 50 or more laps in five of the last six races and no more than five to pick up double-digit place differential points in three straight races here at Pocono. On the flip side, there have been five or more drivers to start and finish inside the Top 10 in all six of those races(seven drivers three times) and just six total drivers to come from a starting position outside the Top 20 to finish inside the Top 10(10%). It will be key to pay clsoe attention to practice and qualifying but if you can't, be sure ot check my sheet on Saturday for updates following each session. My top targets will also be added following the qualifying session. Let's now dig in and take a look at some track trends and pre-qualifying targets. Last Six Winners at Pocono Raceway Martin Truex Jr.(started 4th, led 31 laps) Kyle Busch(started 1st, led 74 laps) Ryan Blaney(started 4th, led 10 laps) Chris Buescher(started 22nd, led 12 laps) Kurt Busch(started 9th, led 32 laps) Matt Kenseth(started 7th, led 2 laps) Top 5 Current Track History at Pocono Raceway Despite not winning here since back in 2011, Brad Keselowski has been the most consistent driver at the track with Top 5 finishes in each of the last five races with a 4.0 average finish. Kevin Harvick is still searching for his first win at...

We've got you completely covered.   Foxwoods Resort Casino 301 New Hampshire Motor Speedway - Loudon, NH  Track - 1.058 Mile Oval Intermediate Another week, another "Big 3" win as Martin Truex Jr. dominated the race in Kentucky winning stage one and two, leading 174 laps and picking up his fourth win on the season. Just to put into perspective how dominant the Big 3 have been, they have a combined 14 wins in the first 19 races, all seven on mile and a half tracks. Clint Bowyer is the only other driver to win multiple races(wins at Martinsville and Michigan) and Logano, Jones, and Dillon have picked up wins at the plate races. Some people would love to see an old-school approach to the series champion where points determined the champion but the new playoff structure ensures that Busch, Truex, and Harvick are not mortal locks to win as anything can happen once the elimination rounds begin. This week the Monster Energy Cup Series travels to Loudon and New Hampshire Motor Speedway for the Foxwoods Resort Casino 301 this Sunday afternoon. New Hampshire is classified on some sites as a one-mile intermediate but races a lot like a short track and is one of the flatter tracks on the circuit. This makes it difficult to pass putting a ton of emphasis on track position and for fantasy leading laps. There have been two drivers to lead 95 or more laps in each of the last four races here and each one of those drivers started inside the Top 10 starting positions. To further the point, of the drivers finishing Top 10 at the end of the race, six of them have started Top 10 in five of the last six races and only 10 drivers in those six races finished Top 10 after starting outside the Top 20(17%). Even with the introduction of stage racing, place differential has been tough to come by as last year saw just two and four drivers pick up double-digit place differential here. Let's now jump in and take a look at some of the track trends and...

Daily Fantasy NASCAR Race Preview & Picks for DraftKings – Quaker State 400

We've got you completely covered.   Quaker State 400 Kentucky Speedway - Sparta, KY Track - 1.5 Mile D-Shaped Oval Intermediate(14° of Banking) It was a wild and crazy race at Daytona that saw half the field hit the garage early due to crashes. That included a ton of big names like the Busch brothers, Keselowski, Larson, Johnson, Harvick, Elliott, Almirola, Hamlin, Logano, and Blaney to name a few. The highlight of the race, at least for me, was seeing Erik Jones pass and hold off Martin Truex Jr. for his first career win. I had the pleasure of meeting and interviewing him at the Daytona 500 media day and he is not only a great driver but a great person as well. For fantasy, if you played it contrarian last week and I mean "contrarian" you likely came out way ahead. Looking at the winning lineup from the $3 Slingshot on DraftKings, Erik Jones($8,100) was the highest priced driver in that lineup and there was $14,300 left over in salary. Whoa!! Let this be a lesson for the next plate race at Talladega. This week the Monster Energy Cup Series head to Kentucky Speedway for the Quaker State 400 and for the second straight week the race will be under the lights on Saturday night. The Cup series has only been racing here since 2011 and with just one race per season here, there is somewhat limited data which has me leaning on the track type data a little more this week. It is the seventh 1.5-mile intermediate race of the season and as you will see below, they have been dominated by Kyle Busch and Kevin Harvick who have split them with three wins apiece. For fantasy, we are back concentrating on dominator points as there has been at least one driver lead 100 or more laps in each of the seven races here and two or more drivers to lead 50 or more laps in all but two races here. With that let's jump in and take a look at the track trends and some pre-qualifying targets. Last Six Winners at Kentucky Speedway...

Daily Fantasy NASCAR Race Preview & Picks for DraftKings – Coke Zero Sugar 400

First time with MLB? Be sure to read our free MLB Ebooks on building lineups, general strategy and more. We've got you completely covered.   Coke Zero Sugar 400 Daytona International Speedway - Daytona Beach, FL Track - 2.5 Mile Superspeedway(Restrictor Plate) Welcome back races fans. It was a very exciting finish last week in Chicago where Kyle Larson and Kyle Busch played bumper tag on the final lap with Busch eventually coming out on top to pick up his fifth win of the season. Through six races on the mile and a half tracks, Kevin Harvick and Kyle Busch have split the wins down the middle each with three on the season. This week the Monster Energy Cup Series heads back to Daytona International Speedway for the Coke Zero Sugar 400 this Saturday night. It is the third restrictor plate race of the season and first since Talladega back at the end of April. As we discussed in the past, the strategy is a little different at a plate race than others. With the race only having 160 laps plus the many lead changes due to drafting, the importance of dominator points is greatly reduced. The biggest thing we will be looking for this week is place differential as 10 or more drivers have tallied double-digit place differential in five of the last six races here at Daytona(nine in the other). The other thing we can look at from a strategy standpoint is stacking teammates or cars from the same manufacturer as they tend to work together in the draft. With all that said, let's jump in and take a look at some race trends and some pre-qualifying targets. Then stay tuned as my DFS NASCAR Cheatsheet will be updated through practices and qualifying and I will be posting my top picks for the race. Last Six Winners at Daytona 2018 Daytona 500 - Austin Dillon(started 14th) 2017 Coke Zero 400 - Ricky Stenhouse Jr.(started 6th) 2017 Daytona 500 - Kurt Busch(started 8th) 2016 Coke Zero 400 - Brad Keselowski(started 5th) 2016 Daytona 500 - Denny Hamlin(started 11th) 2015 Coke Zero 400 - Dale Earnhardt Jr.(started 1st) Top 5 Current Track History at Daytona Bubba Wallace has only raced here twice in...

Daily Fantasy NASCAR Race Preview & Picks for DraftKings – Overton’s 400

First time with MLB? Be sure to read our free MLB Ebooks on building lineups, general strategy and more. We've got you completely covered.   Overton's 400 Chicagoland Speedway - Joliet, IL Track - 1.5 Mile D-Shaped Oval Intermediate It was an excellent road course race at Sonoma where Martin Truex Jr. and crew chief Cole Pearn faked out the competition with pit strategy and eventually picked up the win. It was the #78 team's third checkered flag of the season cementing the three-horse race in the standings as he, Kevin Harvick, and Kyle Busch have won 12 of the first 16 races of the season. This week the Monster Energy Cup Series heads to Chicagoland Speedway for the Overton's 400 this Sunday afternoon. After spending each of the last seven years as the first race of the playoffs, Chicago returns to a familiar July date where it spent the previous 10 years since it opened in 2001. The track is a 1.5-mile D-Shaped Oval Intermediate track which gives us lots of track type data to go on this week. Martin Truex Jr. has won back to back races here and track position has proved to be key in both those races as eight and six drivers who finished Top 10 started Top 10 with just three drivers in those two races combined picked up double-digit place differential. Even with 267 laps in the race, there have been just three drivers over the last six races to lead 100 or more laps so multiple dominators will be the target this week as two or more drivers have led 50 or laps in five of the last six races. Let's now jump in and take a look at some track trends and pre-qualifying targets and stay tuned for my final picks posted on my cheatsheet and in my weekly video. Last Six Winners at Chicagoland Speedway 2017 - Martin Truex Jr.(started 3rd, led 77 laps) 2016 - Martin Truex Jr.(started 6th, led 32 laps) 2015 - Denny Hamlin(started 29th, led 9 laps) 2014 - Brad Keselowski(started 25th, led 62 laps) 2013 - Matt Kenseth(started 10th, led 89 laps) 2012 - Brad Keselowski(started 13th, led 76 laps) Top 5 Current Track History at Chicagoland Speedway As I...

Daily Fantasy NASCAR Race Preview & Picks for DraftKings – Toyota/Save Mart 350

First time with MLB? Be sure to read our free MLB Ebooks on building lineups, general strategy and more. We've got you completely covered.   Toyota/Save Mart 350 Sonoma Raceway - Sonoma, CA Track - 1.99 Mile Road Course After a week off, the Monster Energy Cup Series returns to the track this week for the first road course race of the season at Sonoma Raceway. There are now three road courses in the series but all have their differences as Watkins Glen is more of a speedway with higher speeds while Sonoma is the more technical of the two and as they haven't raced the "Roval" at Charlotte yet, we are unsure how it will race yet. For the most part, experienced drivers are the ones who do best on these tracks and the days of the "road course ringers" have come and gone. From a fantasy perspective, there are only 110 laps in this race and with different strategies, especially with the new stage racing, dominator points are downgraded this week. No driver has led 50 or more laps in any of the last four races here with anywhere between two and four drivers leading 20 or more laps in those races. Place differential is the going to be something we will concentrate highly for building our core this week as there were seven drivers last year to record double-digit place differential and as many as 14 to do so in the 2015 race. Track position is key as there have been five or more drivers who have started inside the Top 10 finish there in four of the last six races. Qualifying, as always, will play a big role so stay tuned for the updates on my cheatsheet and final picks video posted below when final practice is complete. Let's jump in and take a look at some race trends and pre-qualifying picks. Last Six Winners at Sonoma Raceway 2017 - Kevin Harvick(started 12th, led 24 laps) 2016 - Tony Stewart(started 10th, led 22 laps) 2015 - Kyle Busch(started 11th, led 17 laps) 2014 - Carl Edwards(started 4th, led 26 laps) 2013 - Martin Truex Jr.(started 14th, led 51 laps) 2012 - Clint Bowyer(started 6th, led 71 laps) Top 5 Current...
