Ex Navy man, Billy Hurley III, held on to his 54 hole lead throughout Sunday to pick up his first PGA Tour win at his home event in Maryland. We also got to witness a couple future Hall of Fame players push themselves up the leaderboard and contend for the win. Vijay Singh shot an amazing final round 65 to finish 2nd while Ernie Els tailed off a bit on Sunday shooting a 72 and finishing in 5th place. All in all it was another fantastic tournament. On to next week and another World Golf Championship event. This week the PGA Tour travels to the home of Lebron James..... and Firestone Country Club for the 2016 WGC Bridgestone Invitational. The field for these events usually includes the Top 70 golfers in the World and invites. This year the field will only include 61 players due to some big names playing the 100th Open de France on the European Tour. There is no cut and all 61 players, barring withdraws, will play all four days. The Course is a Par 70 that stretches out to 7,400 yards and includes two Par 5's, four Par 3's, and 12 Par 4's making Par 4 scoring extremely important this week. The defending champion is Shane Lowry who won last year with a score of -11 which was the highest score since 2008 where Vijay Singh won with a score 10 under par. Tiger Woods holds the Bridgestone record with a winning score of 21 under par back in 2000 and most recently Adam Scott fired a 17 under par in 2011. With tight, tree lined fairways and thick rough you are going to have to hit fairways consistently to be able to score at Firestone. The course is a beast at 7,400 on a Par 70 so distance is going to matter as well but not if...

The course is Par 72 that stretches 7,229 yards and is the only Jack Nicklaus designed course in Germany. All types of players are capable of winning here but accuracy and precision will be rewarded as Jack designed the course around his motto "A Good Shot should not be Punished". I will be looking very closely at Driving Accuracy, Greens in Regulation, Putts per GIR and Scoring Average. It is very important to note that this will be only the third time this tournament has been played here with 2014 and 2012 being the first two times Gut Laerchenhof has been host. I have labeled these two years on the cheatsheet and using just these two years results in the model this week. Current form will be extremely important and weighed heavily in my model. Driving Distance Driving Accuracy Greens in Regulation Stroke Average Sand Saves Scrambling Putts Per GIR Putts Per Round My European Tour cheatsheet will be included in the $5 price of my regular PGA Premium content. If you have any questions about the article, cheatsheet, or anything fantasy golf hit me up on Twitter(Jager_Bombs9) or leave your questions in the comments section below. High End Targets ($9,000+) Henrik Stenson Vegas Odds - 9/1 Draftkings - $10,800 There are three well known names at the top but Stenson is my favorite despite the withdraw at last weeks US Open. He was 10 over par through 16 holes on Friday and would have had to finish his second round Saturday morning without much of a chance of making the cut. He chose to head to Germany a little early. He is the most accurate driver in the field this week ranking 7th and also ranks 5th in greens in regulation. He has finished Top 10 in this event in...

Click Here to Purchase PGA Lineups Quicken Loans National Congressional Country Club - Bethesda, MD Par 71 - 7,569 Yards The seasons second major championship, the U.S. Open, wrapped up on Sunday afternoon with Dustin Johnson winning by a three stroke margin. It was a four stroke victory until DJ reached the scorers table where he faced the USGA officials who questioned his actions back on hole #5. Before addressing the ball DJ noticed the ball moved slightly so he called the official on site over to explain that he did not address or hit the ball in any way and was told to play it where it lies with no penalty. When DJ's group got to #12 tee box they were approached by an official again and were told that the video would be reviewed and it would get dealt with when DJ had completed his round. What? How on Earth do you tell players we will make a decision after the round but go play for that Major without knowing who is leading or by how many. No one even seemed to know what the penalty would be if there was going to be one. So they played on. It did not appear to affect DJ that much as he said in a post game interview he was simply playing the golf course. It did seem to affect the overnight leader Shane Lowry even though he claims it had no bearing on his collapse. At one point after learning of the non ruling he made three straight three putts. Outside of the USGA making a mess of the final holes, it was an incredible event with the best player coming out on top. Johnson's tee to green game was phenomenal as he bombed the ball with accuracy all week while leading the field in greens in regulation. He also only made five bogeys all week. Remove DJ from teh list of best players in the world without a major. It's now up to you Sergio Garcia and Jim Furyk(Wrong! My mistake. Furyk won the 2003 US Open). On to next week. This week...

Click Here to Purchase PGA Lineups U.S. Open Oakmont Country Club - Oakmont, PA Par 70 - 7,255 Yards It may not have been an elite field at last weeks FedEx St. Jude Classic, but we were treated to a great tournament and great finish once again on Sunday. Last seasons Rookie of the Year, Daniel Berger added to the impressive start to his career with his first win on Tour. He was the only rookie to make it the Tour Championship last season and ended up finishing for 11th in the overall standings. All the big names in the tournament(Johnson, Mickelson, Koepka) all lurked on Sunday but Berger was able to hold them off. Enough with last week let's jump right into next week. The U.S. Open! Another chance to win a Million Dollars on DraftKings! What more could one ask for? For starters you could ask to never play Oakmont Country Club, the site of this weeks U.S. Open. It is widely considered the hardest test of golf in America. Oakmont has hosted more major champions than any other golf course(8 US Opens, 5 US Amateurs, 3 PGA Championships, and 2 US Womens Opens). It was designed with tight fairways, extremely difficult rough, bunkers at nearly every landing point(210 in total) and most of all greens that slope away from a players approach shot and are super fast. Not only will the course test all facets of a players physical golf game, the bigger challenge will be between the ears. Mistakes, if not handled correctly, can compound quickly and lead to some disgusting scores. To see a little behind the scenes of Oakmont Country Club click here. The last time the U.S. Open was played here was in 2007 where Angel Cabrera hoisted the trophy with a winning score of +5. Wait what? Seriously. Less than 10 rounds under 70 were recorded and Cabrera had two of them. The first thing this type of scoring is going to do for daily fantasy is turn the emphasis almost entirely on finishing position. There are going to be very few, if any, birdie streaks or bogey...

Click Here to Purchase PGA Lineups FedEx St. Jude Classic TPC Southwind - Memphis, TN Par 70 - 7,239 Yards William McGirt became the latest first time winner on PGA Tour this past weekend and did on a pretty big stage. He beat out Jon Curran on the second playoff hole to take home the hardware and also held off the likes of Dustin Johnson, Rory McIlroy, J.B. Holmes, Matt Kuchar, Patrick Reed, and many other top players in the world. It had been a very long road to this point in his 165 start career that has seen him bounce back and forth between many different tours along the way. We will be seeing a lot more of McGirt in the future as the win gave him a three year exemption on tour. As always, if you missed the highlights from the weekend you can check them out below. This week the PGA Tour travels to Memphis, Tennessee for the FedEx St. Jude Classic. It's horrible timing(after the Memorial and right before the US Open) gives us a pretty weak field this week. The top players in the field are Dustin Johnson, Phil Mickelson, and Brooks Koepka as they look to tune up their games for the US Open next week at Oakmont. TPC Southwind is a Par 70 setup that stretches 7,239 yards. There is no specific profile we are going to be targeting this week as a wide range of players have won here. No matter if you are targeting bombers or accuracy players it will be important to look at Good Drive % as it gives us a read int o the the players that can get their way the green or fringe in regulation when missing the fairway. I will also be looking at Par 4 and Par 5 Scoring average, and I have also been running some models and lineups based off the new Strokes Gained stats on the cheatsheet. When constructing cash game lineups I look closely at Scoring Average before the cut and for GPP's I want a...

I was extremely excited to see DraftKings open this up last week and decided to implement my cheatsheet to the European Tour. I have also decided to do a small write up to preview the tournament and highlight a few of my favorite plays each week. Let's dig in. The European Tour heads to Stockholm, Sweden this week for the 2016 Nordea Masters. The tournament has been on the schedule since 1991 and has seen seven different venues host the event. This year will be the third time that Bro Hof Slott Golf Club will host the tournament. It also hosted back in 2012 and 2010. The course is a bit of a monster Par 72 at 7,511 yards and unlike the traditional courses has five Par 5's and five Par 3's. Get ready for some low scoring. Lee Westwood shot a 19 under par to win this event back in 2012 when it was last hosted at Bro Hof Slott Golf Club. Westwood will be eyeing his fourth Nordea Masters title this weekend. The course will favor the long hitters due to the length and with the wider fairways will put less of an emphasis on accuracy off the tee. Don't discount the accuracy altogether though as there is water and sand scattered throughout the course. Below is a list of all the stats used on the Euro Tour and all will be used in my model this week. Driving Distance Driving Accuracy Greens in Regulation Stroke Average Sand Saves Scrambling Putts Per GIR Putts Per Round My European Tour cheatsheet will be included in the $5 price of my regular PGA Premium content.
