Poston(-22) 2018 - Brandt Snedeker(-21) Top Targets Russell Henley FedEx Cup Rank (#34) Vegas Odds (20/1) DraftKings ($10,200) FanDuel ($11,600) I will ignore the missed cut at the OPEN and pay for the consistent Henley we saw before the season's final major. Before that quick trip for a couple of rounds at Royal Liverpool, Henley had made nine of his previous 10 cuts with seven Top 25 finishes. That success was a direct result of some red-hot irons as he ranks #1 in this field in SG: Approach over the last 24 rounds and to go with it he ranks 9th in fairways gained. That is a great combination for Sedgefield and it has shown as Henley returns with Top 10's in three straight years here. He is my top play in the top tier this week. Aaron Rai FedEx Cup Rank (#61) Vegas Odds (35/1) DraftKings ($8,600) FanDuel ($10,200) This range of pricing is loaded with players who are dangerously close to the bubble to get into the playoffs and will need solid weeks to solidify their spots. Rai is one of them as he has been climbing fast with some nice form with Top 25 finishes in five of his last six events with two Top 10's mixed in, as well. He is not only one of just three players who rank Top 10 in fairways gained and SG: Approach in the short term but during this hot stretch he has gained strokes in every SG category three times. I don't just think he will make the playoffs, I feel he can really improve...

While I will have exposure to both Rory and Scottie, I feel Rory is going to be higher owned being $600 cheaper and coming off a win at the Scottish last week so I will go a little heavier n Scheffler for some projected leverage. Hard not to pay the premium for Scheffler who is putting up some ridiculous numbers and should easily have more than two wins on the season. He has gone 17 straight events finishing 12th or better and to top it off comes into the OPEN with seven straight Top 5 finishes. Looking at the Tee to Green numbers we can easily see why he is on another level as he has not finished outside the Top in SG: T2G in 11 straight events. Absolutely insane and probably the most overdue player in the field! Cameron Smith World Golf Ranking (#7) Vegas Odds (14/1) DraftKings ($10,700) FanDuel ($11,500) The defending champ could possibly provide some leverage as I would project many lineups starting with an $11K golfer and then dropping down into the $9K range focused around Fleetwood. Even if this is not the case, I am very high on Cam Smith who not only won here last year but has been red-hot coming in with a...

For me, with the consistency he has shown, should put him in the $12K+ range on DraftKings and I say this as he enters the week with six straight Top 5's and 16 straight finishes of 12th or better. He even struggled terribly on the greens losing 8.5 and 4.6 strokes putting in back-to-back weeks at the Memorial and Charles Schwab and still finished T3 in both. Looking at the stats over the last 24 rounds, he is far and away the leader in SG: Tee to Green averaging over 1.4 strokes per round to the golfer in second over that time period. He has mixed results here with a T12 in 2021 and a missed cut last year but with his current form and success with the new putter, I will have plenty of Scheffler in my builds this week. Patrick Cantlay World Golf Ranking (#4) Vegas Odds (14/1) DraftKings ($10,200) FanDuel ($11,900) While not quite on the same level of consistency as Scheffler(who is?), Cantlay has been very good for a long stretch. Going all the way back to his missed cut at the PGA Championship last season, he has made 22 of his last 23 cuts at stroke-play events with a win (BMW Championship in the playoffs), 12 Top 10's, and 19 Top 25 finishes. Looking at the current form from a...

Poston(-21) 2021 - Lucas Glover(-19) 2019 - Dtlan Frittelli(-21) 2018 - Michael Kim(-27) 2017 - Bryson DeChambeau(-18) Top Targets Russell Henley World Golf Ranking (#29) Vegas Odds (16/1) DraftKings ($10,400) FanDuel ($11,800) While the price has reached a season-high, it is hard not to start with Henley who checks all the boxes. He returns to TPC Deere Run where he has enjoyed success having made the cut in all three trips with a T27 in 2014, T2 in 2019, and T11 in 2021. He also comes in with excellent form having finished Top 20 in four straight and eight of his last nine events while ranking(in this field) 1st in SG: Approach, 1st in par 4 scoring, and 18th in DK points over the last 24 rounds. The only concern is the putter and the good news is that he has gained strokes on the green in three of his last four. Fire up Henley in all formats. Alex Smalley World Golf Ranking (#85) Vegas Odds (35/1) DraftKings ($8,900) FanDuel ($10,200) Smalley is another player who checks all the boxes in my model this week and has a similar makeup as Henley, just cheaper. Smalley has played the John Deere Classic in each of the last two years finishing T47 in 2021 and T16 last year. He now returns for a third time and comes in with some nice form having made the cut in six of his last seven events including a T9 at the Travelers in late June. Driving his success has been the tremendous iron play as he has gained strokes on approach in 11 straight events and has gained a whopping 14.1 total...

Because of this, I have overall SG: Off the Tee as a core stat this week but if deciding between two players, I do lean accuracy over distance If looking closer at the bombers who are less accurate, another stat that stands out is Good Drive % which helps identify those players who still hit greens in regulation when missing fairways Strokes Gained: Approach A strong iron game is always high on the priority list and especially at this Pete Dye setup with much smaller-than-average greens When looking at Proximity ranges, the 125-150 and 150-175 yard ranges have seen more than Tour average approaches. We have also seen about an average amount of approaches from 200+ yards but this is more of a range I will use when analyzing shorter hitters off the tee Par 4 Scoring With just two Par 5's and 12 par 4's on this Par 70 setup, Par 4 scoring becomes very important and has shown about double the correlation in recent years Eight of the 12 Par 4's fall between 400-450 yards which makes looking closely at the range a great idea(I use FNGC for these specific ranges) Birdie or Better % With the winning score reaching -17 or better in four of the last five years birdies are...
