I say that because Portland has dug themselves quite the hole, and Lillard is going to be asked to dig them out of it with C.J. McCollum sidelined. With him off the floor, Lillard has a 37 percent usage rate while averaging 1.4 DK points per minute since the beginning of last season. That's on full display in his recent form, averaging 50.5 DraftKings points per game across his last four outings. That's the old Dame we know and love, and it should be easy to duplicate against a 20th-ranked Grizzlies defense. Not to mention, Lillard has at least 36 fantasy points in each of his last nine matchups with Memphis. Tyrese Haliburton FD - $7700 DK - $6900 Opponent - SA Proj Pts FD - 40.41 DK - 39.8 The Kings are one of those teams amid a massive COVID breakout, and it looks like Haliburton is going to be the go-to ball-handler with so many players missing. De'Aaron Fox's absence is the most important, making Tyrese the de facto point guard. He's not the only one missing, though, with Alex Len, Richaun Holmes, Terence Davis, Marvin Bagley, and Davion Mitchell all expected to sit too. In the first game without all of those guys, Hali collected 21 points, six rebounds, and 10 assists in one of his best games of the year. That followed up a 42-point gem in the game prior, and it looks like he's back to his triple-double ways. Squaring off with San Antonio makes that even easier to accomplish, and we'll discuss that in the subsequent write-up. D'Angelo Russell has been crushing recently and remains a bit too cheap. The opportunity for a similar performance is definitely in the cards tonight as James Harden and Bruce Brown are once again out of the lineup. The matchup is also pretty decent as the 76ers have fallen to 19th overall in defensive efficiency as they have given up 100+ points in five of their last six games. Fire up Mills in all formats. Derrick Rose FD - $6200 DK - $6300 Opponent - HOU Proj Pts FD - 34.95 DK - 36.58 One of the issues and major decisions we will have to make tonight is at the guard position as half of them are out and the other half seem to be in bad matchups, potential blowouts, or reaching peak pricing on a small slate. Rose only checks one of those boxes as his price has reached a season-high but the good news is that he gets a tremendous matchup as the Rockets are 24th in defensive efficiency and lead the league in pace. Rose has been up and down and is by no means safe at these prices but is coming in hot in the short term with 30+ fantasy points in back-to-back games and has double-digit shot attempts in six straight. He is a multi-category contributor and if this game stays close like I think it will, he should be able to churn out another 30+ point performance putting him in play in all formats. For the most part, Paul has seen an uptick in usage with Devin Booker out of the lineup and has taken 14+ shots in two of the last three games. And the assists remain elite with an average of 10 per game over the last five. This is an elite matchup against a Portland team that ranks as the fourth-worst defense in basketball this season. I don’t think Paul has been priced up enough for the matchup and the opportunity. Fred VanVleet FD - $8500 DK - $8600Opponent - BKNProj Pts FD - 42.27 DK - 45.94 The Raptors come in as 9-point road underdogs against Brooklyn on Thursday. But with such a small slate we are going to have to face blowout scenarios and be okay with it. VanVleet’s minutes are among the safest in the league right now, consistently running in the high 30’s when the game stays and close. And even though they are on the second half of the back-to-back, the Raptors blew out the Kings and didn’t have a ton of run on Monday. VanVleet is getting up about 16 shots per game and has shot the ball well from three, hitting about 39% from beyond the arc. The minutes at this price point are what make him a solid cash option and we hope Toronto can stay in this one. He and the Mavs now get an elite matchup against the Hornets who rank dead last in defensive efficiency and run the third-fastest pace in the league. Fire up Brunson in all formats. Fred VanVleet FD - $8300 DK - $9000 Opponent - SAC Proj Pts FD - 41.85 DK - 45.43 The Raptors are in a great spot on Monday at home as 4.5 point favorites in a game with the second-highest total(220.5) on the slate. That total comes from the defense, or lack thereof, especially on the Sacramento side as they rank 26th in defensive efficiency and adding to that run a Top 5 pace. Despite some poor shooting in the short term(under 40% in five of his last 10), he is still provided value across the board averaging 19.6 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 5.8 assists per game over his last 10. I would like the price to be about $500 lower but given the terrific matchup, I will still have exposure in all formats on both sites. Shooting Guard Cody Martin FD - $5200 DK - $6500 Opponent - DAL Proj Pts FD - 32.14 DK - 33.46 I am definitely higher on the Mavericks side of this potential close, high-scoring game but with LaMelo Ball and Ish Smith still on the C-19 list, we cannot ignore Cody Martin. He has filled nicely playing 40 minutes per game and contributing across the board with an average of 16 points, 6.3 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 35 fantasy points per game. The price has corrected on DraftKings finally where he isn't a must-play but on FanDuel, he is still scraping the low $5K...

Jalen always starts at point guard when Doncic sits out and typically plays at a $7,500 level. If you look at the six games that JB has started this season, he's averaging 21.2 points, 6.2 rebounds, 6.8 assists, and 1.2 steals per game. That stat-stuffing ability has allowed him to score at least 31 DraftKings points in all of those, en route to a 40-point average. That's far from surprising considering Doncic leads the NBA with a 36 percent usage rate, allowing Brunson to feed when he's out. We don't mind that he faces an Oklahoma City team that owns one of the worst rosters in basketball. Dennis Smith Jr. FD - $5500 DK - $6300 Opponent - MIN Proj Pts FD - 41.22 DK - 39.84 DSJ is another injury fill-in, starting at point guard for Damian Lillard. That alone would make him a worthy option, but he's also taking on a ton of usage in the absence of C.J. McCollum as well. That has allowed Smith to score at least 31 fantasy points in the last three games without those guys, averaging over 34 DraftKings points per game. Much like Brunson, he's an excellent stat-stuffer, too, providing value through rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks. Getting to face the Timberwolves only adds to his intrigue, with Minnesota sitting eighth in pace and 19th in total defense. Note: Lillard is questionable for this game.  If you have the salary, Dejounte Murray is a good bet for a triple-double against a 26th-ranked Pelicans defense. Shooting Guard Josh Hart FD - $5800 DK - $6000 Opponent - SA Proj Pts FD - 31.49 DK - 31.88 Why the heck is Hart sitting around $6,000 on both sites? This dude has been a monster for three weeks now and should be $1,000 more on each site. Like the guys we mentioned before, Josh provides value through his stat-stuffing ways. In fact, Hart is averaging 11.8 points, 7.8 rebounds, 4.6...

The price is getting near its peak but definitely warranted as he has been very consistent in the short team. Over the last five games, Mitchell has averaged 31.2 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 5.2 assists which, for fantasy purposes, is an average of 47.4 DK/45.1 FD points per game. Looking at the season numbers, he also has the second-highest usage rate(33.2) of any player on this slate and gets a plus matchup as the 76ers rank 18th in defensive efficiency and are playing on back to back nights. Fire up Mitchell in all formats. Monte Morris FD - $5600 DK - $5400 Opponent - SA Proj Pts FD - 26.38 DK - 28.9 For value at the point guard position, I will turn to Monte Morris who has also been a very consistent fantasy producer in the short term. Over his last six games, he has averaged 14.5 points, 2.8 rebounds, and five assists per game which is good for 28 DK/27.4 FD points per game. The Spurs defense is also a bit of a mystery as they do rank 10th in defensive efficiency but rank 19th or worse in fantasy points when looking at a split of guards, forwards, and centers. Either way, this is a big pace-up matchup in a projected close game for the Nuggets which puts Morris in a great spot to hit and exceed his fantasy value once again tonight. Derrick White FD - $7900 DK - $6300 Opponent - DEN Proj Pts FD - 29.44 DK - 31.07 This one is more for DraftKings as the price on FanDuel has reached a season-high and is nearly $8K!
