DFS NBA Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Sunday, 1/16/22
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Sunday, 1/16/21 That Saturday card was massive, and it's left us with very little here. We actually have just four games making up this Sunday slate, with only three games in the main card. That means we have one of the smallest player pools of the season, but it should be a fun slate to dissect. The Sacramento-Houston matchup is the one everyone will be zoned in on, and rightfully so. These teams combined for 240 points in a shootout on Friday, and that game barely cleared the total in the final seconds. We also have some elite offenses like the Warriors and Jazz taking the floor, too, leaving us with a ton of players to pick from! Point Guard De'Aaron Fox FD - $8000 DK - $8100 Opponent - HOU Proj Pts FD - 41.8 DK - 42.27 Fox has been begging for a price increase with his recent play, and we're finally getting up there. In any case, we love him in this spot because this is the best matchup in fantasy. The Rockets rank first in pace, 29th in defensive efficiency, and dead-last in points allowed. All of that is horrifying against a speedster like Fox, with De'Aaron tallying 27 points, six rebounds, and eight assists in this matchup on Friday. That sort of game is no surprise when looking at his recent form, with Fox scoring at least 39 DK points in six of his last eight games. That's likely to be his floor in this majestic matchup, making him hard to fade around $8K. Jordan Poole FD - $4900 DK - $5400 Opponent - MIN Proj Pts FD - 22.48 DK - 23.61 We've actually been fading Poole ever since Klay Thompson returned, but things have opened up big time for the former Wolverine. Golden State is playing this game without Stephen Curry and Draymond Green, leaving a ton of usage on the table for JP. In fact, Poole has a 31.3 percent usage rate with those two guys off the floor, averaging 1.1 DK points per minute. That's a great total from a guy who's shown 40-point upside at times this season because he could be looking at...

Point Guard Ja Morant FD - $9700 DK - $9200 Opponent - MIN Proj Pts FD - 45.21 DK - 48.2 While it is highly unlikely he would overtake the superstars to win the MVP this season, Morant is most definitely making a case for himself with plays like this! For fantasy, what I like the most here is that he is playing those guys ahead of him in the MVP odds but isn't priced as such still under $10K on both sites. He comes into tonight averaging 29.1 points, 6.3 rebounds, 6.1 assists, and 49.6 DK/41.4 FD points per game over his last eight. The T-Wolves are ranked 11th in defensive efficiency this season but run the 6th fastest pace which should lead to a ton of possessions on both sides allowing Mornant to get a full run and the opportunity to hit and exceed his projection. Lock and load in all formats. Patrick Beverley FD - $6700 DK - $5300 Opponent - MEM Proj Pts FD - 31.16 DK - 32.35 Staying in the same game, we have Patrick Beverley who returned from a two-game absence on Tuesday, and despite being limited to just 21 minutes was able to hit nearly 5x value on DraftKings. I fully expect him to return to a full run tonight which easily puts him in to play on DraftKings in a game with the highest total on the slate. Even with the last game where he was limited, Beverley comes in averaging over 31 DK points per game over his last 10 with a balanced fantasy attack contributing in almost all categories. This is going to be a high-paced, high-scoring game and Beverley is one of our top PTS/$ values on DraftKings. Fire him up in all formats. Strongly Consider: Dennis Smith Jr.(POR) who is likely to get the start with Lillard, McCollum, and Simons all out for Portland Shooting Guard Ben McLemore FD - $4100 DK - $4200 Opponent - DEN Proj Pts FD - 24.15 DK - 27.8 To say the Trail Blazers are short-handed at the guard position would be an understatement. All three of McCollum, Lillard, and now Simons are declared...
DFS NBA Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Wednesday, 1/12/22
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Wednesday, 1/12/21 After a short slate on Tuesday, we're back to a full nine-game card here. There are some fascinating matchups out there, and some great value plays for DFS. I picked the players for this article quicker than usual, which is probably a good sign. Some of them are obvious, but others are fantastic values that are flying under the radar. With that in mind, let's kick things off with the point guards! Head on over for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our MLB Optimizer, and NHL Projections as well. Plus, our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Kyle Lowry FD - $7200 DK - $7600 Opponent - ATL Proj Pts FD - 37.77 DK - 39.48 Lowry is not getting the credit he deserves! This guy has come from Toronto late in his career and is playing just as well in a Miami uniform. Lowry is averaging 35 DraftKings points per game for the season, providing 30-plus nearly every single night. The reason we love him here is the situation in Miami, with Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo, and Gabe Vincent all expected to miss this game. That means Kyle should run the show, which is apparent when you see his 37-point average in the games that Bam and Butler have missed this season. He's rolling right now, too, scoring at least 38 DK points in seven of his last 10 games. That should be easy to duplicate here, with the Hawks ranked 25th in points allowed and 27th in defensive efficiency. Spencer Dinwiddie FD - $7100 DK - $6000 Opponent - ORL Proj Pts FD - 35.73 DK - 37.51 The Beal splits for Dinwiddie are downright nuts. Dinwiddie plays at a $10K level when Beal is out of the lineup. In fact, The former CU standout has at least 29 DraftKings points in all six games that Beal has missed, averaging 49.2 DK points per game. Where it's obvious is in his usage, leading the club with a 32 percent usage rate in these situations. All of that means that Dinwiddie is about $2,000 too cheap on both sites, and we haven't even discussed this matchup. The Magic rank 25th in defensive efficiency and 24th in points allowed. That's on full display when you see Spencer's 38-point average in his two matchups with Orlando....

Point Guard Dejounte Murray FD - $10400 DK - $9700 Opponent - NY Proj Pts FD - 49.54 DK - 52.33 Starting things off with targeting the game with the lowest total on the slate isn't something I normally do but Murray has just been too good to ignore. Since putting up a dud against the Nuggets in early December, he has been explosive tallying three triple-doubles while averaging 18 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 10.9 assists which has been good for 52.2 DK/51.1 FD points per game. This includes three straight games with 50+ fantasy points after returning from a five-game covid absence. While the game has a projected low total, the Knicks are still a slightly advantageous matchup ranking 19th in defensive efficiency so I will have a ton of exposure to Murray in all formats. Anfernee Simons FD - $7300 DK - $6400 Opponent - BKN Proj Pts FD - 35.94 DK - 40.27 The price on FanDuel has caught up to the opportunity Simons has been getting with Lillard and McCollum injuries but it is a completely different story on DraftKings where he is still sitting in the mid $6K range. Simons has also really elevated his game recently taking at least 15 shots in each of his last four games while shooting 54% from the field and averaging 45.8 DK/42.4 FD points per game. On Monday, Normal Powell will also be out for a second straight game so even in a projected blowout, Simons should get enough run to easily hit and possibly even crush his price, at least on DraftKings. Also Consider: Seth Curry(PHI) as the 76ers are very short-handed at the guard position with Simmons, Maxey, and Milton all out Shooting Guard Terry Rozier FD - $7300 DK - $7100 Opponent - MIL Proj Pts FD - 31.8 DK - 34.21 This is a game we are going to want a ton of exposure to as it easily has the highest total(235) on the slate with both teams ranking Top 10 in offensive efficiency and pace. Let's start on the Charlotte side and for cash games, I will be starting with Terry Rozier. It comes down to...
DFS NBA Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Sunday, 1/9/22
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Sunday, 1/9/21 These NBA slates have been crazy. The COVID protocols have made things challenging over recent weeks, but it feels like that trend is finally starting to die down. What's not dying down are the injuries, though. We have several star players likely sitting here, which is a significant theme in this article. There's a lot to discuss, though, so let's kick things off with two backup point guards stepping into starting roles. Head on over for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our MLB Optimizer, and NHL Projections as well. Plus, our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Anfernee Simons FD - $7500 DK - $6500 Opponent - SAC Proj Pts FD - 35.47 DK - 37.87 Simons has always been a talented player, and it's nice to finally see him getting a starting gig. It's taken a disastrous turn for Portland to put him in this situation, though, with Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum both out for the foreseeable future. That's about 50 percent of the team's offense out the door, and Simons is happy to take on most of it. With those two guys off the floor, Anfernee has a 25 percent usage rate, posting some of the best lines of his career. In fact, ANT is averaging 46 DraftKings points per game across his last three outings. That makes him really attractive here, with Sacramento surrendering the second-most fantasy points to opposing point guards this season. Tyus Jones FD - $4900 DK - $4200 Opponent - LAL Proj Pts FD - 30.69 DK - 30.73 It's sad that we're going to miss out on a Ja Morant game because that dude is the most exciting player in the NBA, but Jones isn't too bad himself. He's actually been excellent when starting for Morant, scoring at least 22 DraftKings points in 10 of his 12 starts this season, en route to a 29-point average. Those are absurd numbers from a sub-$5K player, especially since Jones has the best assist-to-turnover rate in the NBA as well. That ability becomes even more attractive in a matchup like this, with Los Angeles ranked second in pace and 24th in total defense. They also own a 30th OPRK against opposing point guards, making Jones all the more enticing. If Luka Doncic is out, don't forget about Jalen Brunson. ...

Point Guard Ja Morant FD - $10200 DK - $9200 Opponent - DET Proj Pts FD - 50.2 DK - 53.25 Tonight presents an interesting challenge in that two of the four games have blowout risk. While I am going to try and avoid these games for the most part, it will be impossible to avoid them completely and one player at the top of my list is Ja Morant. After missing nearly a month due to injury, he has been elite averaging 27.6 points, 5.9 rebounds, 6.4 assists good for 47.7 DK/46.5 FD points per game. Not only does he get an elite matchup against the Pistons(22nd in def eff, 8th in pace) he has also seen a price that is trending down on DraftKings where he is a great play in all formats. Alec Burks FD - $6000 DK - $5900 Opponent - BOS Proj Pts FD - 29.98 DK - 31.98 An injury to Kemba Walker has thrust Alec Burks back into a starting role and the craziest part of it all is that the price has been trending down. As a started, Burks has been solid averaging 14 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and just over 30 fantasy points per game. It is a tougher matchup against Boston but with a price that is trending down and this being one of the two games without blowout risk, Burks is easily a top PTS/$ play on this slate. Shooting Guard Jaylen Brown FD - $9000 DK - $9000 Opponent - NY Proj Pts FD - 38.93 DK - 42.49 The system isn't overly high on Brown at the moment but I sure am! For me, it comes down to multiple factors tonight starting with the extremely consistent floor Brown has provided as he comes into this matchup having dropped 40 DK points in nine straight averaging just over 47 in that time. The usage has been insane as he has taken 20+ shots in all but one of those games and even topped out at 36 against the Clippers. The second part of the equation for me is the fact this is one of two games expected to be close...
