After two large slates back-to-back, we are left with a much smaller two-gamer on Thursday so instead of going position by position I will be breaking down a few of my top plays from each game. Let's get started. Los Angeles Lakers vs. Philadelphia 76ers Joel Embiid FD - $11400 DK - $11400 Opponent - LAL Proj Pts FD - 56.73 DK - 59.8 It is close between Embid and Bron for top payup on this small slate but with AD back for the Lakers, the decision to go with Embiid was much easier. The consistency and incredibly high floor are what draws me to him as he has averaged 34.5 points, 10.8 rebounds, and 4.8 assists since the start of January with an average of 59.2 DK/57.1 FD points per game. He leads all players on this slate with a massive 36.5% usage rate and is my top play in all formats. Tobias Harris FD - $8100 DK - $7300 Opponent - LAL Proj Pts FD - 37.04 DK - 39.89 If Embiid is my top raw points play then Harris is my top PTS/$ play in this game, at least on DraftKings. There were points of the season where Harris crept up into the $9K range on DraftKings so getting him at a low $7K price tag is a nice buy-low considering he has averaged just over 37 DK points per game since the start of the month. Matisse Thybulle FD - $4300 DK - $3600 Opponent - LAL Proj Pts FD - 18.84 DK - 17.02 We are going to need a couple of punt values on this small slate if we plan to roster any of the big names and Thybulle fits the bill. He returned from injury on Tuesday and wasn't limited at all playing 33 minutes and despite shooting just 1 for 5, still ended up with nearly 20 DK points which at his price is over 5x return. I will take that as a floor from a nearly min price starting player. LeBron James FD - $10700 DK - $11100 Opponent - PHI Proj Pts FD - 51.25 DK - 54.62 For the Lakers, there is...

Point Guard Darius Garland FD - $8700 DK - $9300 Opponent - NY Proj Pts FD - 38.97 DK - 43.23 With no real superstar player on this slate, we can go a bit more balanced with our build at one point guard that stands out is Garland. Sure, his price has is once again getting up there near a season-high but he has earned it averaging 20.9 points, 10.6 assists, and 44.8 DK/41.5 FD points per game over his last 10 games. The Knicks are a great matchup(13th in def eff, 30th in pace) but we have ourselves a small slate and Garland gets a ton of usage(20.4 shots per game last five) so I am not concerned and will have exposure in all formats. Chris Paul FD - $10300 DK - $8600 Opponent - UTA Proj Pts FD - 41.01 DK - 43.02 While FanDuel got a little small-slate, trigger happy with the price on Paul tonight, he is still very fairly priced on DraftKings especially considering how well he has been playing. The biggest thing has been the slight increase in usage as the assist machine has actually taken double-digit shot attempts in six straight and eight of his last nine games and has tallied a double-double in six of those games. Overall, this is a matchup between two Top 10 defenses but is expected to be the highest-scoring game on the slate and this is where my exposure starts, at least on DraftKings. Also Consider: Caris Levert(IND) if he is cleared to play as both Sabonis and Brogdon are out Shooting Guard Chris Duarte FD - $6700 DK - $6400 Opponent - NO Proj Pts FD - 29.1 DK - 31.67 The biggest news on this slate comes out of Indiana where both Malcolm Brogdon and Domantas Sabonis remain out of the lineup. This will lead to value throughout the rest of the lineup and it starts with Duarte who has started two straight and played 31+ minutes in four straight while averaging 19.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 4.0 assists. That was one of the most difficult periods I've ever seen from a DFS perspective, but it gave us a good idea of what these rotations look like in certain circumstances. Finding out who will step up when some studs are out is a critical variable in this racket, and we feel like we learned a lot in that volatile time period. We have many recommendations today that are stepping in for injuries studs, so let's kick things off with two of those! Point Guard Gabe Vincent FD - $5000 DK - $5100 Opponent - LAL Proj Pts FD - 27.32 DK - 27.57 Vincent isn't going to go off too often, but he's way too good to be sitting around $5K on both sites. What's made him so valuable are the absences in Miami, with Kyle Lowry and Tyler Herro both sidelined. Those are the two primary point guards on this team, and it's left Gabe with a huge role. If you look at the last 12 games that Vincent has started at point guard, he's scored at least 20 DraftKings points in all of those. That's a great floor from a $5K player, but we absolutely adore his 29-point average across 34 minutes a night in that span. The best part of this might be this matchup, though, with Los Angeles third in pace and 27th in total defense. Monte Morris FD - $4400 DK - $4800 Opponent - DET Proj Pts FD - 27.51 DK - 28.2 Monte can be annoying to the roster at times, but this price is silly. Morris is the starting point guard in Denver with Jamal Murray out, and he's traditionally been a $6,000 player in this role in the past. He certainly wasn't playing at that level through the first two months, but the last week has been really encouraging. In fact, MM averaging 30 fantasy points per game across 35 minutes a night over the last three games. I know it's a smaller slate but love seeing the price on Doncic trending down, especially on DraftKings where it's at a season-low. The matchup isn't great as the Suns rank 2nd in defensive efficiency but I am not worried as Luka has been scorching hot coming off his best performance of the season(72.5 DK/67.3 FD) and is nearly averaging a triple-double(23.9 pts, 10.7 rebs, 9.3 ast) and 55.5 DK/46.5 FD points per game in the month of January. I will have exposure to Luka in all formats. Malcolm Brogdon FD - $6600 DK - $7400 Opponent - GS Proj Pts FD - 34.46 DK - 37.69 Brogdon returned from injury last night and while he was limited to 26 minutes, he put up a solid line with 19 points, four rebounds, and six assists for 34 fantasy points. I am speculating a bit here but would expect him, even on a back-to-back, to get closer to his full run tonight and that is great news as he is coming at a fantastic price point on both sites. Like Luka, he also draws a tough matchup as the Warriors are the top defensive team but we have a very small slate and limited options so I am taking a shot with the excellent PTS/$ value in all formats. Shooting Guard Devin Booker FD - $9000 DK - $8300 Opponent - DAL Proj Pts FD - 40.57 DK - 44.73 This feels a bit like chasing as he is coming off a monster 48-point performance but it's hard to ignore the price, especially on DraftKings, this smaller slate. What I like here is that it hasn't been just one game for Booker as he has now dropped 30+ points in three straight and isn't just shooting reliant averaging 4.4 assists, and 5.4 rebounds per game on the season....

We have 13 games in total and 26 teams taking the floor. That means we get to see almost every team in action, and it's going to give us a massive player pool to dig through. We feel like we have a good read on many of the plays out there, though, so let's go ahead and get into it! Point Guard De'Aaron Fox FD - $8000 DK - $8400 Opponent - DET Proj Pts FD - 42.61 DK - 42.98 Fox got off to a terrible start this season, but he's been cooking recently. The speedy guard has at least 39 DraftKings points in six of his last nine games. The three outliers all had big reasons for the stinkers, too, with Fox getting ejected in one of them and the Portland game being a massive blowout. We don't expect either of those to be an issue here because this is a fantastic matchup. The Pistons rank 23rd in points allowed and defensive efficiency while surrendering the sixth-most fantasy points to opposing PGs. That means we expect Fox to reach that 39-point total at ease, which is all you need from an $8K player. Mike Conley FD - $5700 DK - $6000 Opponent - HOU Proj Pts FD - 33.34 DK - 34.23 Conley might be the best play on the board. This guy was an $8K player in his days with the Grizzlies, and he could be looking at a similar role here. We say that because Donovan Mitchell (concussion) is out, leaving Conley as the showman for the offense. He's actually scored at least 29 DK points in every game that Mitchell has missed since the beginning of last season. That's big news for a guy with a 30-point average this year, giving him a 50-point upside in this spot. The matchup with Houston is the icing on the cake, though, with the Rockets ranked first in pace and dead-last in both points allowed and defensive efficiency. Cade Cunningham is just $6,000 on FanDuel and faces a subpar Sacramento defense. Shooting...

Almost every single stat has taken a huge jump overall and he has been especially great lately where he has averaged 24.5 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 9.4 assists good for 55 DK/53.8 FD points per game over his last seven since returning to the lineup. He draws a tough matchup against the Suns tonight but on a five-game slate, this matchup has the 2nd highest total(225) and is expected to stay close(PHO -5). With the projected volume Murrya should continue to get, I am on board in all formats. Anfernee Simons FD - $7600 DK - $8000 Opponent - ORL Proj Pts FD - 40.31 DK - 44.99 This is an interesting one this early in the day as the price has jumped even with CJ McCollum likely returning to action. I am not totally concerned with the latter as McCollum is likely limited in his return being out for nearly two months and the price jump is sort of warranted as Simons has been terrific in the starting lineup. He has averaged 28.8 points and 8.2 assists which are good for 47.8 DK/44.31 FD points per game in those six starts. Against an Orlando team that ranks 24th in defensive efficiency in a game expected to stay close, I will have a ton of exposure to Simons in all formats. Shooting Guard Donovan Mitchell FD - $8200 DK - $9000 Opponent - LAL Proj Pts FD - 43.45 DK - 46.76 Capping off this full day of basketball on Monday is the game with the highest total(232.5) and full of fantasy targets. For me, it starts with Mitchell who has been a very consistent fantasy producer all season and even better in the short term. At his prices, we are looking for a floor of about 40 FD/45 DK points and Mitchell has provided that in eight of his last 10 games...
