Point Guard/ Shooting Guard Luka Doncic FD - $11900 DK - $12600Opponent - WASProj Pts FD - 63.69 DK - 68.82 When we get into the $12K range for a player things can start to get real weird with the rest of the lineup. But a guy like Luka Doncic is worth it at these prices simply because he’s in a small class of players who can support the salary. He’s averaging a ridiculous 33.6 points per game to go with nine rebounds and assists each. Now he’ll draw a Wizards team that is middle of the road in terms of both pace and defensive efficiency. It’s not the perfect matchup, but this slate has some tougher teams on it and I think we can roster Doncic without worrying all that much about it. Chris Paul FD - $8200 DK - $7500Opponent - CHAProj Pts FD - 41.85 DK - 44.57 Chris Paul returned from more than a two-week layoff and immediately stepped in to play 38 minutes on Sunday. It was a somewhat surprising minutes load after the injury, but we’ll take it especially if it’s going to be the case going forward. The Suns get the best matchup on the slate against the Hornets and Paul isn’t priced like a point guard set to play this many minutes. In that game, he dropped 22 points, 11 assists, and five rebounds. He’ll have a chance for a repeat performance against a Hornets team ranked 10th in pace and 27th in defensive efficiency. CJ McCollum FD - $8100 DK - $8200Opponent - DENProj Pts FD - 42.03 DK - 45.69 McCollum is coming off of a really rough game that saw him score just 13 points while also turning the ball over seven times. He show just 5-16 from the field and the Pelicans lost to the Heat. He’ll look to bounce back here and has been good over the last month with Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram both out. He’s averaging 25.5 points and more than five assists per game in that stretch. This matchup against Denver isn’t amazing, but that’s something of...

Guards Damian Lillard FD - $10200 DK - $10100 Opponent - SA Proj Pts FD - 48.41 DK - 50.77 There are only four players at $10K and above on DraftKings tonight and somehow Lillard is the cheapest of that group despite being in one of the best stretches of his season. Over the last seven games, he is shooting over 50% from the field on 22 shots a game(11 from beyond the arc) while tallying 50 or more fantasy points in six of those games while averaging 56.5 combined. He and the Trail Blazers now get the best matchup on the board against the Spurs who are dead last in defensive efficiency and fantasy points to guards. Fire up Lillard in all formats. Derrick White FD - $5500 DK - $5400 Opponent - ORL Proj Pts FD - 31.62 DK - 31.49 Both Marcus Smart and Malcolm Brogdon have already been ruled out for this game which opens up about 20 shots per game and a ton of minutes at the point guard position. White is a very shooting dependant guard who has been a roller coaster for fantasy but the good news is that he sees a near 3% usage boost with both Brogdon and Smart off the floor and becomes a near fantasy point-per-minute player. At a mid $5K price tag combined with a plus matchup against the Magic's 23rd-ranked defence, I have White as a core play in all formats. Mike Conley FD - $5700 DK - $5300 Opponent - CHA Proj Pts FD - 27.59 DK - 28.07 The game totals on this slate are a buffet of points with all seven coming in at 230 or higher but this game is one of my favorites to target as these teams run 10th and 11th in pace and both rank outside the Top 25 in defensive efficiency. The first piece that stands out is Mike Conley who has been very consistent in the short term tallying 30 or more fantasy points in four straight on the back of 13.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 45 assists per game. Despite this nice run, Conley's price has stayed flat and in the mid $5K range which, in this matchup, make him a core play for me in all formats. Also Consider: Terry Rozier(CHA) if LaMelo ball sits out again....
DFS NBA Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Sunday,1/22
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Sunday, 1/22/23 This feels crazy to say, but we crossed the halfway point earlier in the week. The season always feels like it starts off with a crawl, but then it's randomly over before you know it. The All-Star break is less than a month away as well, and it'll be fun to see what these teams do prior to that trade deadline. A few teams need to make some desperate moves, and others need to rebuild for the future. We still have some time to get to that point, but it's something worth monitoring over the coming weeks! Head on over for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our MLB Optimizer, and NHL Projections as well. Plus, our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Kyrie Irving FD - $9600 DK - $10000 Opponent - GS Proj Pts FD - 46.27 DK - 47.67 Irving has always looked like one of the best players in the NBA, and he's showing that with Kevin Durant sidelined. With the former MVP off the floor this season, Kyrie has compiled a 33 percent usage rate while averaging 1.5 DK points per minute. That's on full display when you see that Irving has scored 84 and 62 DraftKings points in his last two outings. He's been remarkably consistent over the last two months, too, scoring at least 33 DK points in 20 straight games, while generating a 46-point average in that span. Those totals should be easy to reach against Golden State, who rank 26th in points allowed while surrendering the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing PGs. Jamal Murray FD - $7900 DK - $6800 Opponent - OKC Proj Pts FD - 39.59 DK - 40.8 As someone who had ACL surgery within weeks of Murray, it's been fun watching him recapture his form. This guy was one of the best players in the bubble back in 2020, and we're seeing flashes of that stud recently. Murray has at least 41 DraftKings points in four of his last five games, tallying a 38-point average across his last 14 outings. That's really all you can ask for from a $7K player, and we've seen this guy get to a $9K price tag in the past. A matchup with Oklahoma City is a good way to keep that ticker pointing up, with the Thunder...

Guards Dejounte Murray FD - $8600 DK - $8300 Opponent - CHA Proj Pts FD - 41.51 DK - 44.08 Terry Rozier FD - $8100 DK - $7600 Opponent - ATL Proj Pts FD - 38.7 DK - 42.58 It's a bloodbath of injuries at the guard position tonight with six of the Top 7 in pricing either ruled out, doubtful or at-best, questionable. This has me targeting a balanced approach and it starts with the only game between two teams who both run top 10 in pace. Let's start with the home favourite Hawks who have two very good to elite guards but it's Murray who has stood out lately. He has shown he is much better with Trae in the lineup averaging 50 fantasy points a game over the five games since Trae returned. What I like most is the very high floor which comes from his contributions in every area as he is averaging 26.4 points, 6.6 rebounds, and seven assists over those five games with similar numbers on the season. On the other side of this high-paced game, we have Terry Rozier who is set to take on a large role with LaMelo Ball doubtful after leaving Wednesday's game with an ankle sprain. Rozier ended up taking a team-high 24 shots in that game and averaged 21.4 shots over a 10-game stretch when Ball was out last. Rozier was terrific fantasy-wise during that stretch averaging 39.8 DraftKings points which our system sees him topping tonight in this plus matchup. Lock and load on both guards in this game. Tyrese Maxey FD - $6000 DK - $6100 Opponent - SAC Proj Pts FD - 26.56 DK - 29.19 This one is a bit speculative early in the day but James Harden is questionable after picking up an injury in the 76ers' last game. My guess is they will take it easy with their star guard which means some minutes and opportunities would most definitely open up tonight. Enter Tyrese Maxey who has seen his price drop lately after three straight games coming off the bench. Looking back, he was terrific in Harden's absence in late November averaging 20.8 points on 19.7 shots over a six-game stretch while delivering over 37 fantasy points a game. If Harden is out, he is a great play in all formats. Also Consider:...

Plus our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Guards James Harden FD - $10300 DK - $9800 Opponent - POR Proj Pts FD - 46.68 DK - 49.8 Harden is coming off a season-low six points on Tuesday but that doesn't concern me for several reasons. First of all, he had been elite prior to that dud averaging 22 points, 12.2 assists, and 6.6 rebounds over the previous 12 games while tallying over 50 fantasy points nine times(53.9 DK/52.6 FD average). The other reason I am not concerned with a one-game sample is that the 76ers get the best matchup on the slate against the only team ranked outside the Top 20 in defense. The Blazers have also struggled even more in the short term giving up an average of 120 points per game over their last four. All things considered, Harden is a terrific building block in all formats. Gary Trent Jr. FD - $7000 DK - $6600 Opponent - MIN Proj Pts FD - 32.98 DK - 33.05 Targeting shooting dependant guards is not always the optimal route in cash games but we have a smaller slate on Thursday and it's hard to ignore Trent's form post-Christmas break. Take out the dud against the Hawks last week, and he is averaging 17.3 shots per game(8.5 per game from behind the arc) and has tallied 18 or more points each of those 11 games while averaging 37 DraftKings points per game. Minnesota is a tougher matchup here but at least it's a pace-up game(MIN 8th in pace) which has me on board with Trent's mid-tier price in all formats. Also Consider: Duane Washington(PHO) as a GPP play who likely starts again if Chris Paul is out Small Forward Mikal Bridges FD - $7100 DK - $6800 Opponent - BKN Proj Pts FD - 33.73 DK - 33.53 The Suns continue to run short-handed with Booker, Payne, Shamet, and Okogie already ruled out with Chris Paul in the questionable/doubtful category. This likely means another heavy run of minutes for Mikal Bridges who can be boom or bust at times but has provided us with more boom than anything lately tallying 40 or more fantasy points in three of his last four games. The Nets are no pushover defensively ranking 6th overall in efficiency but on a smaller slate we just can't ignore the massive opportunity and minutes floor that...
Daily Fantasy DraftKings and FanDuel NBA Picks – Wednesday, January 18
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Wednesday, 1/18/23 The number of big games we've seen this month has been insane. There have been nearly 20 40-point games this month already, and we're on pace to break the NBA record. The scoring from these guys is incredible, and it looks like playing defense is impossible at this point. It's not that these guys aren't playing defense; it's that they can't match up with the elite skill on the offensive end. It's made for a great product, so let's kick things off with one of the most talented playmakers in the NBA! Head on over for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our MLB Optimizer, and NHL Projections as well. Plus, our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. Point Guard LaMelo Ball FD - $9600 DK - $9600 Opponent - HOU Proj Pts FD - 50.37 DK - 54.99 Ball doesn't get talked about enough because he plays in Charlotte, but this guy is a hooper. The point guard has scored at least 41 DraftKings points in 18 of his last 19 games, averaging 24.8 points, 5.4 rebounds, 8.5 assists, and 1.2 steals per game in that span. That's the stud we saw throughout most of last season, and he should have another ravishing performance against the Rockets. In his three career meetings with Houston, Ball is averaging over 50 fantasy points per game. That's no surprise since the Rockets rank 28th in defensive efficiency ratings while surrendering the most fantasy points to opposing PGs. D'Angelo Russell FD - $6500 DK - $6800 Opponent - DEN Proj Pts FD - 34.83 DK - 35.88 It's hard to believe that Russell has dropped below $7,000. This guy has been playing the best basketball of his career since Karl-Anthony Towns got injured, scorning at least 30 fantasy points in 21 of his last 25 games. He's also registering a 35-point average in that span, seeing a massive spike in shot attempts and usage. A bump like that is huge for a former All-Star player, and we don't expect him to have any issues with the Nuggets. Denver ranks 22nd in defensive efficiency while owning a 27th OPRK against opposing point guards. That's on full display when you see that D-Lo has at least 32 fantasy points in each of their last four matchups. De'Aaron Fox (FD $8300 DK $8300) faces...
