Daily Fantasy NBA News and Injury Updates for FanDuel and DraftKings - 4/10/17 Welcome to the daily updates and injury news article. We'll try and update it right up to line-up locks with as much information as comes across our desks. Let's get to it! Last night's picks can be found here, so you can wrap your mind around what you need to be looking at before lineups lock tonight. By the way - we keep our projection system updated with all of the changes as they occur throughout the day right up until lineup lock. Every day. If you want access to that system so you can cut out a lot of the research element, click the button below! START YOUR FREE TRIAL! What We Know LeBron James, Kyrie Irving, and Tristan Thompson are out while Kevin Love is doubtful The Cavaliers projected lineup is Deron Williams, J.R. Smith, Iman Shumpert, Richard Jefferson, and Channing Frye. Derrick Williams should also see substantial minutes off the bench if Love is out. All 5 of the starters are in play with the top 3 being Williams, Frye, and Smith. All 3 should shoot a ton and the prices are obviously way off. Shumpert and Jefferson are fine punts but nowhere near the others. Damian Lillard, C.J. McCollum, and Allen Crabbe will all be rested tonight The Blazers are REALLY short-handed tonight. Shabazz Napier and Pat Connaughton will start for the 2 stars and both make good value plays. Maurice Harkless and Evan Turner will also both play a lot and shoot more than normal. With no active centers on the roster, expect Meyers Leonard and Aminu to see big minutes. The Spurs are a slow team and I will only have 2 or 3 guys from this Blazers team because of it. Gordon Hayward and Rodney Hood will sit out against the Warriors With George Hill back, he could be an interesting tournament option against the fast-paced Warriors. Joe Ingles and Jose Johnson will both see a lot of minutes and I like both in all formats. The Warriors play fast and there will be plenty of places to look. Rudy Gobert could also see an uptick in shots taken tonight. Klay Thompson will rest against the Jazz Patrick McCaw will likely get the start but remains a guy who is useless in DFS. With Durant back, the Warriors are still trying to reacclimate him into the offense as the playoffs approach. Curry could be interesting against the Jazz but nothing more than a tournaments option. Kemba Walker will miss the rest of the season with a left knee injury With Kemba out for the year, the Hornets have given...

We've got you completely covered. Pitchers Tyler Glasnow FD 4400 DK 7500 Opponent - CIN (Finnegan) Park - @PITFD - 32.51 DK - 21.43 On DraftKings, I think you almost have to pay up at pitcher and find ways to pay down elsewhere. On FanDuel, I think Tyler Glasnow is a very interesting GPP option. He's sitting at $4400, which is cheaper than Charlie Blackmon, Nolan Arenado, and Bryce Harper. Glasnow is one of the most promising prospects in baseball. He did struggle last season and ended up in the bullpen, but this is a guy who will be a front-end starter in the next 3 years. This match-up with the Reds is an interesting one, as the lineup is way diverse. Guys like Billy Hamilton and Jose Peraza are atrocious hitters and strikeout a lot, but can get on base and wreak havoc. With Joey Votto in the 3-spot, the Reds are tough if either of those guys are on. After Votto, there are a lot of strikeouts to be had. Duvall, Schebler, and Cozart all hold 24%+ K rates and don't walk much. Glasnow held a 9.61 K/9 in his short 2016 stint, which definitely shows a ton of promise. While Glasnow is far from safe, he has a ton of upside for his price on FanDuel. In cash games, go ahead and target one of the top dogs. Charlie Morton FD 6400 DK 6600 Opponent - SEA (Paxton) Park - @SEAFD - 27.39 DK - 18.18 James Paxton FD 7700 DK 8400 Opponent - HOU (Morton) Park - @SEAFD - 30.52 DK - 20.11 If you're playing the all-day slate, both of these guys are in play. Charlie Morton was surprisingly good last season, sporting a 9.87 K/9 and a 3.09 xFIP. Morton is a quality pitcher and has been extremely consistent for about 25 straight starts. He faced these same Mariners just a week ago, pitching 6 innings and giving up 2 earned runs with 4 strikeouts. The Mariners are a pretty good offense but lack the ability to put together big innings. With a few guys who strikeout a lot, the...

Daily Fantasy MLB Baseball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - 4/10/17 Welcome to Monday Baseball! We have 2 separate slates on our hands, starting at 1 and 7 Eastern. The Mariners-Astros game isn't on either of these, so I won't be touching on them. If you're playing an all-day slate, both offenses are in play. We have a few strong pitchers on our hands today with a couple offenses in great spots. Let's get to the top options at each position! If you have any questions or comments, feel free to comment below or join out live chat. You can also find me on Twitter @VarneyDFS. We've got you completely covered.   Pitcher Early Taijuan Walker FD 7500 DK 8700 Opponent - SF (Moore) Park - @SF FD - 27.37 DK - 18.19 Chris Sale is on this slate, so it's going to be interesting to see how ownership ends up. He still probably has the highest floor and definitely the highest ceiling, so you can obviously go there. We just think Taijuan Walker is better in terms of point per dollar. This early slate has pretty decent pitching as a whole, so I'm finding myself wanting to pay up for the most talented hitters. Walker will certainly help you do that, sitting nearly $4k cheaper than Sale. I think the D-Backs have a pretty good chance of scoring some runs against Matt Moore, as they are lethal against lefties. That should help Walker secure a win and let him pitch comfortably. The Giants are obviously a tough offense to face, ranking in the top 8 against right-handed pitching in 2016. With that being said, AT&T Park is extremely tough to hit in. It ranked dead last in 2016 in run production and home runs. Walker was a huge prospect and has shown promise and potential. In 2016, he sported an 8 K/9 with a 29% hard contact rate, which are both above average numbers. He also saw his SwStr%(Swinging Strike) rise on both his fastball and cutter, which are the pitches he relies on to close at-bats. Walker is going to have another productive season and should be in line for a pretty solid start today. Keep in mind, this is the Giants and a young pitcher. Things can definitely go awry. I will be more apt to play...

Daily Fantasy MLB Baseball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – 4/9/17

Daily Fantasy MLB Baseball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - 4/9/17 Sunday Baseball! FanDuel and DraftKings have the first 9 games on the main slate, with the exception of Coors Field. They are both also offering all-day states, where all 15 games are included. The day is an interesting one, with some elite pitchers and some gas cans. Watch out for weather. We have seen a few games already get postponed this season and you do have to be careful during this time of the year. Everything looks good as I write this, but you never know. Make sure to comment below or join the live chat in the bottom right hand of the screen. You can also find me on Twitter @VarneyDFS. Thanks and good luck on this fine Sunday! Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB optimizer, our NBA Optimizer, and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! First time with MLB? Be sure to read our free MLB and NBA Ebooks on building lineups, general strategy and more. We've got you completely covered.   Everyone in Coors Field is in play. With an 11 over/under, it has the highest total on the day. Maeda is a strong arm, but relies on off-speed movement, which he won't get much of. Tyler Anderson is good against lefties but will get taken advantage of by right-handers. Everyone is extremely expensive on Draftkings, so you can definitely fade in tournaments. Pitcher I will be focusing on the main slate that FD and DK are offering. Johnny Cueto is obviously a fantastic play against the Padres. He is the top pitcher on all-day slates in cash games. Stephen Strasburg FD 9600 DK 10600 Opponent - PHI (Hellickson) Park - @PHI FD - 38.18 DK - 0 Strasburg has already pitched this season, tossing 7 innings of pretty average stuff. He gave up 2 runs only struck out 3, which is surprising for a guy who has held a 10-12 K/9 over his career. I'm willing to trust the sample size here and not bet that Strasburg is now pitching to contact. The strikeouts will come and they will definitely come against the Phillies. The Phillies scored enough runs for a few weeks last night and will hopefully be happy getting shut down tonight. Maikel Franco, Tommy Joseph, Cameron Rupp, and Jeremy Hellickson all strikeout a ton. They hold 28%+ K rates and Strasburg is one of the top K pitchers in the league. Strasburg was good against both sides of the plate in 2016, finishing with a .277 combined wOBA. Strasburg has...

If you want access to that system so you can cut out a lot of the research element, click the button below! START YOUR FREE TRIAL! What We Know Kawhi Leonard, LaMarcus Aldridge, Pau Gasol, Manu Ginobili, and Danny Green will all rest against the Mavericks The Spurs are locked into the 2nd seed, so there is no reason to get these guys tired against the Mavs. Jonathon Simmons, Kyle Anderson, Davis Bertans, David Lee, Dewayne Dedmon, and Patty Mills should all get big minutes. Bryn Forbes and Tony Parker could also pick up minutes, but I will only have them in tournaments. The rest of those guys are all viable in cash games at such low prices. Paul Millsap has been ruled out for rest The Hawks announced Millsap will sit out the 2nd half of the B2B, which happens to be tonight. Dwight Howard and Dennis Schroder will both see an uptick in usage. Ersan Ilyasova will pick up 28 minutes and makes for a solid cash game option. Kristaps Porzingis and Carmelo Anthony have been ruled out against the Grizzlies With Rose already ruled out, this team is a dumpster fire. Guillermo Hernangomez is still the only guy I can trust to get solid minutes. Ron Baker, Justin Holiday, and Courtney Lee are all solid tournament options as well. This is a pretty tough match-up against the slow Memphis Grizzlies. Will Barton and Jameer Nelson have been ruled out against the Pelicans Jamal Murray and Gary Harris are both solid options in a game that should stay close. With Wilson Chandler also questionable, Danilo Gallinari could be in for a big workload. George Hill is doubtful to play against the Timberwolves Dante Exum and Shelvin Mack could both see big minutes, but I don't think either are necessary. Gordon Hayward could see an extended amount of time at the point and is pretty safe in cash games. What We're Waiting to Know DeMarcus Cousins is questionable to play with a sore achilles Cousins is obviously the biggest piece of news today, so we will be waiting to see...
