We've got you completely covered. Doug Fister FD 8100 DK 8800 Opponent - OAK (Cotton) Park - @BOSFD - 27.07 DK - 17.82 We looked at Max Scherzer and Jon Lester in the main picks article. Scherzer is still the clear cut top option in cash games and Lester remains a viable pivot. We'll now move down a little bit with Doug Fister and Jack Flaherty. Focusing on Fister, he's a bit tough to figure out. He's basically been a completely different pitcher over his last 4. He is throwing the changeup 3x more, his fastball less, and walking fewer batters. He's contained both lefties and righties, though I don't think we can accept this is just how it's going to be. He has definitely been a bit lucky recently, and we can expect some rough starts in the future. I'm just not sure the Athletics are going to do much damage. They have some bats in Khris Davis and Matt Joyce with power against righties, but the team strikes out close to 23% of the time and has held a .317 wOBA against righties. Fister is certainly a bit riskier than the more expensive options, but he'll also give you a few more expensive bats to make up the difference. I'll personally stay with Scherzer in cash games, but I do see the reasoning for going with Fister and 2 expensive offenses. Jack Flaherty FD 5900 DK 6300 Opponent - CIN (Mahle) Park - @STLFD - 30.17 DK - 19.93 If you want to get really cheap, Jack Flaherty is the only guy I have any confidence in. He may not have anywhere near the upside of ScherzerLester or even Fister, but he should go a solid 5 or 6 innings and get the win. Jack Flaherty is just another one of many effective arms the Cardinals have develeoped through the system. He has been great agaisnt both sides of the plate and there isn't much to point to in terms of struggles. He faces a Red team at home in Busch Stadium that has had a lot of trouble against righties. They...

We've got you completely covered. Washington Nationals Right up there with the Red Sox are the Washington Nationals. They may be facing more of a proven commodity, but the Nats hold a higher implied total, so Vegas likes them a bit more. They face off with Luiz Gohara, who's a southpaw making his rotation debut at just 21 years old. He's definitely a talented arm, but he was rushed up the minors and hasn't had a chance to settle down in the slightest. He never held lower than a 3 BB/9 in A-AAA, as well as a high HR/9. You just can't imagine that equates well over to the major leagues. Anthony Rendon (.442 wOBA)and Ryan Zimmerman (.420) demolish lefties and I wouldn't leave either of them off of a stack. After that, you have a lot of different places to go. Kendrick and Werth make sense in the OF, but so do Difo and Turner at SS. It all comes down to what you're looking for and how much you want to spend. The Nats are a very versatile stack tonight and you should be able to make them work in whatever format you have going on. Main Stack - Trea Turner, Ryan Zimmerman, Anthony Rendon, Howie Kendrick Sneaky Stack - Ryan Zimmerman, Anthony Rendon, Howie Kendrick, Jayson Werth Boston Red Sox It was just a few months ago when Jharel Cotton was coming off a few strong starts and people were interested in playing him at home. Those days are far gone. Here are the days where Cotton is allowing a .359 wOBA to lefties and a respective .357 to righties. Keep in mind that most of those numbers come out of the Oakland Coliseum, where you have to hit it a mile to get it out. This one will take place in Fenway, where a bunt and a breeze will take it out to left. Mookie Betts and Andrew Benintendi are gonna be the top 2 plays and the guys you almost have to have. After that, it's a crapshoot. The Sox have 4 other guys who destroy righties...

We've got you completely covered. Pitcher Max Scherzer FD 11400 DK 13400 Opponent - ATL (Gohara) Park - @WSH FD - 49.71 DK - 32.95 When I think of the word consistency, Max Scherzer is the first pitcher who comes into mind. While he'll still have the occasional rough starts that all pitchers do, they're often tempered and far less frequent. For example, one of his worst starts of the season was last time out against the Phillies. He gave up 4 runs, but still went 6 innings, struck out 7 and got the easy win. He'll far more often go 7-9 innings, allowing a run or two and striking out close to 10. He's held both sides of the plate to a .264 combined wOBA and a 12.06 K/9. He faces off with a putrid Braves lineup tonight and we see what they have done against righties, sporting a .308 wOBA over the last 30. They still have the obvious threat with Freddie Freeman, but it's nothing Scherzer can't handle. The Nationals are the biggest favorites on this later slate and it stands to reason with Scherzer being on the mound. He's the top play in both cash games and tournaments. Don't get cute. Jon Lester FD 8800 DK 9600 Opponent - NYM (Harvey) Park - @CHC FD - 38.19 DK - 25.02 We do have a pretty healthy drop from Scherzer to the field here. While we have plenty of guys with upside, none of them match the safety Scherzer brings. We'll be looking at Jon Lester, who faces off with the Mets in Wrigley Field. It's go-time for the Cubbies, who are just 2 games ahead of the Brewers for the division lead. You can expect Lester to start turning the corner into playoff mode and we know his pitch count will start to rise. He's dominated lefties this year to a sub .220 wOBA, and contained righties to a .289. This Mets team is far from dangerous and arguably the worst team in baseball at this point. Asdrubal Cabrera and Jose Reyes are carrying the lineup. It can't get worse. We saw Quintana and the Cubs handle business last night and I expect more of the same against a team who just wants...

We've got you completely covered. Luis Castillo FD 9100 DK 11000 Opponent - MIL (Garza) Park - @CINFD - 33.53 DK - 22.24 On this early slate, there isn't much in terms of pitching. I think most will look towards the Angels game, but I'm not sure how big of a fan I am of targeting those offenses with those pitchers. They aren't great offenses, but set up extremely well for the type of pitcher. Instead, we will take a look at Luis Castillo. Luis Castillo has shown some insane stuff this season and I can't expect anything less here. The Brewers are absolutely atrocious against righties with a .306 wOBA and 25% strikeout rate. Castillo is a K pitcher. That's what he does. In this match-up, the double digit upside is certainly there. On the other side of things, he can get rattled. He's young and has control problems on occasion. All in all, he will be my top option on the slate. I don't see myself fading his upside for any of these lackluster arms. Jose Quintana FD 11100 DK 10800 Opponent - PIT (Cole) Park - @PITFD - 34.96 DK - 23.02 On this main slate, it's Carlos Carrasco and then the field. Still, Jose Quintana is talented. On a slate like this, sometimes I want to just go where the talent is. He is one of the 3 best pitchers on the slate and while the match-up isn't good, he can still have a solid game. Quintana has sported a ..297 combined wOBA and has upped his strikeout rate to 9.81 on the season to just under 2 walks. The Pirates are much better against lefties, but they're still pretty weak as a whole. If Quintana is able to get around the top 4 in the order, he will be fine. That's obviously quite the task, and he admittedly is risky because of it. In cash games, just keep walking. In tournaments, you may be able to get a guy for 10% owned that ends up the top arm on the slate. GRAB A FREE TRIAL OF OUR PROJECTION SYSTEM,...

We've got you completely covered. Tampa Bay Rays On this early slate, stacking doesn't seem like the way to go. There are a lot of average hitting teams against average pitchers. With that being said, the Rays do stand out a bit. They face off with Austin Slegers, who is just a rookie and 25-years-old. Slegers hasn't been good in the majors and Vegas doesn't think he turns it around here. He was pretty solid in AAA, but he still had issues with command and striking out lefties. He now moves to the majors and has to face the Tampa Bay Rays. While the rays will often struggle against good pitchers, they can be effective. They have a few bats with power and a few others with speed. Slegers, being a righty, has been far worse against lefties. Corey Dickerson, Logan Morrison, and Lucas Duda are my 3 favorites, with Kevin Kiermaier a close 4th. The Rays aren't as bad as people think, but the bottom of the order is. I'm not a big fan of a sneaky stack if you're stacking the Rays. It's already a big enough deal if their stars can get it done. Main Stack - Corey Dickerson, Kevin Kiermaier, Logan Morrison, Lucas Duda / Wilson Ramos Cleveland Indians If you took a look at the main picks article, you saw quite a few Cleveland Indians. They face off with Reynaldo Lopez and the White Sox, so it makes a lot of sense. This entire White Sox pitching staff is horrible and I'm not sure there are any worse in baseball. Lopez is actually better than a couple of them, but he's still no good. He's allowed a .341 wOBA, though he hasn't pitched nearly enough innings to judge. He welcomes them into Guaranteed Rate Field, which happens to be a top 10 power park. The Indians are an extremely lethal offense and we know the production can come from a lot of different spots. Jose Ramirez and Carlos Santana both destroy righties and are my 2 favorite options. After that, you got Lindor and Encarnacion. Both are...
