We kick things off in Oklahoma City, where the Suns and Thunder face-off in a game with a 228 total and 10 point spread. It's easily the highest total on the slate and we'll be targeting this game quite a lot. To no surprise, things get going with Russell Westbrook at the PG position. He just put up 72 fantasy points against the Suns a week ago and is playing his best basketball. The Suns play faster than anyone in basketball and rank bottom 10 against every position. Against PG's, they sit at 27th on the season and 28th since the ASB. Elfrid isn't necessarily a bad defender, but this team has no motivation to play defense, instead pushing the offense and getting the ball to the scorers as quickly as possible. Westbrook is the only true superstar on this slate with Karl-Anthony Towns the 2nd most expensive at just over $10k. He'll likely be popular because of it, but that's fine. This is one of the 3 best possible match-ups for Westbrook and I'll do my best to have him in every single lineup. There's no opportunity cost in the price range. Kemba Walker FD - $9000 DK - $8700 Opponent - BKN Proj Pts FD - 43.32 DK - 44.69 Let's head to the mid-range. In doing so, we skipped Steph Curry. He doesn't have the best match-up on paper, but the game against the Spurs is at least interesting if it stays close. We'll instead look at Kemba Walker, who has a phenomenal match-up with the Brooklyn Nets. On the season they rank dead last in terms of allowing fantasy points to opposing point guards. We love targeting Kemba at home and it's rare to see a 218 total in that arena. This is literally an ideal scenario for Walker. He's very well rested and I can't think of a situation I would rather he be in. Personally, I'll have him locked into all of my cash games and at least most tournaments. It's a branch I'm willing to die on tonight. Tyler Johnson FD - $5200 DK - $5200 Opponent...

What We Know Justin Holiday will start at SF for the Bulls Besides 1 game against the Nets, the Bulls have held Holiday out in hopes of getting the youngsters some experience. He'll jump back into the starting lineup tonight against a tough Grizzlies defense. You can go there if you want, but I doubt he's in much of a rhythm and certainly won't be pushed over 32-34 minutes, no matter the circumstance. It obviously hurts the likes of David Nwaba and Denzel Valentine considerably, though both can still be considered in tournaments. Willie Cauley-Stein, Brandon Ingram, Tyreke Evans, Andrew Harrison, and Tristan Thompson will all remain out We know what to do here for the most part. For Willie Cauley-Stein, Kosta Koufos will slide in once again for 20-25 minutes and makes sense as a punt in cash games. With a thinned-out Grizzlies squad, we'll see Ben McLemore, Kobi Simmons, and Myke Henry all pick up substantial minutes. The NBA lineup optimizer has McLemore projected for the most minutes at 35.Let's look at some of the unknowns. What We're Waiting to Know Jarell Martin is questionable to return against the Bulls Martin missed last game and I'm not sure they are going to rush him back at all. Against the Bulls, I don't have any interest if he does play. Now if Martin misses, go ahead and play Jamychael Green with a 25 FP expectation. Ivan Rabb may also pick up close to 20 minutes and is extremely cheap on both sites. Gasol is always a safe option at a weaker center position. Every Lineup Guys Kyle Kuzma FD - $6100 DK - $6100 Opponent - ORL Proj Pts FD - 31.77 DK - 32.67 Here's what I said last night in the picks article. Ever since Brandon Ingram went out, Kyle Kuzma has picked up 33 and 37 minutes. He put up 27 and 32 fantasy points in two tough match-ups and now sees a great one against Orlando. On the year, they rank 21st against the position and have been even worse recently. Kuzma has been extremely efficient when on the floor at 1.22 fantasy points per minute and it always just comes down to the opportunity. With Ingram confirmed out,...

Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – 3/6/18

Posted by on Mar 7, 2018 in Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks, featured, News | 5 comments

Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - 3/6/18 Welcome to NBA Wednesday! We’re looking at a smaller Wednesday slate for sure with just 6 games on the table. I’m not complaining, though. There is still plenty to decipher through and I like this size slate more than a 12-15 gamer. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA optimizer and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! First time with NBA? Be sure to read our free NBA Ebooks on building lineups, general strategy and more. We've got you completely covered. Point guard Chris Paul FD - $8100 DK - $8000 Opponent - MIL Proj Pts FD - 42.44 DK - 42.98 We’ll open things off at point guard with a low-$8k Chris Paul. He’s playing 30-35 minutes a night and has posted 35-42 fantasy points more often than not. He now sees a match-up against Eric Bledsoe and the Bucks, who rank 18th against the position. The only real concern is the back to back, but I’m not too worried. For one, they do have this win streak and I’m sure it’s a big deal to them. Two, Chris Paul saw 33 and 32 minutes in his last back to back. They run a tight rotation and Chris Paul isn’t a guy you can just shift around without major consequences. He should continue seeing 30 minutes and is in play in all formats at just over $8k. D.J. Augustin FD - $4900 DK - $5000 Opponent - LAL Proj Pts FD - 25.12 DK - 26.26 D.J. Augustin is giving us consistent production at a very nice price tag. Still sitting below $5k, he’s put up 20 fantasy points in four of the last four and 30 in two of them. He now sees a better match-up than any of those with the Lakers in Los Angeles. We are looking at a 226 total, however, so don’t be surprised if we come back to this game relatively quickly. Augustin is locked into 28-32 minutes and can be played in all formats. He’ll see a match-up with Lonzo Ball and Isaiah Thomas, who’ve teamed up to allow the 4th most fantasy points to opposing point guards. He’s not the most explosive option with upside, but you shouldn’t be disappointed as long as the game stays close. De'Aaron Fox FD - $5800 DK - $5600 Opponent - NO Proj Pts FD - 29.81 DK - 30.18 We close off PG with a game we’re going to target quite a bit. The Kings and Pelicans face off with a 224...

We've got you completely covered. What We Know Kyrie Irving has been ruled out against the Bulls The Celtics haven't said much about this situation, but we do know Kyrie is out tonight. Fortunately, Terry Rozier is an easy plug and play at point guard and should grab 35-40 minutes. We'll get to him. Jaylen Brown will also grab the ball for some extra time and are fine plays against a weak Bulls squad. Tristan Thompson has been ruled out against the Pistons with an ankle injury Thompson has been playing an active 20-25 minutes a night and we do have some opportunity here. With Ante Zizic the only other center on the roster and Jeff green injured, Larry Nance Jr. is going to see a ton of minutes at the 4 and 5. You can safely lock him in for 30+ minutes and is a strong play in both cash games and tournaments. LeBron will then grab some minutes at the 4 and likely play small against the Pistons. This is good news for Andre Drummond. Brandon Ingram, Darren Collison, and Andrew Harrison will remain out for at least another game We know what to do here. Let's get to some unknowns. What We're Waiting to Know LaMarcus Aldridge is questionable to play against the Grizzlies LMA missed last game and Pau Gasol picked up 32 minutes. He put up 50 fantasy points and you have to like him again if Aldridge was out. Bertans also picked up 21 minutes and you can certainly consider him in cash games if you think the game stays close. Marc Gasol and Jarell Martin are questionable to play vs the Spurs It looks like Gasol has a better shot to play, but both are officially questionable. If either of them miss, JaMychal Green will see big minutes. he saw 37 last game and will destroy value if that's once again the case. Don't be afraid to target this Grizzlies squad tonight if anyone else is out with injury. GRAB A FREE TRIAL OF OUR PROJECTION SYSTEM, AND CHECK OUT DFSR PRO! START FREE TRIAL...

We've got you completely covered. Point guard Damian Lillard FD - $9400 DK - $9700Opponent - LALProj Pts FD - 46.23 DK - 48.47 Welcome to NBA Monday! We have 7 games on the slate and all of which deserve attention. There are certainly some games with higher totals, but there is opportunity everywhere you look. We'll kick things off in Los Angeles, where the Blazers and Lakers face off in a game with 224 total and just a 2 point spread. You should get excited when you see those numbers. Lillard has been playing great basketball as of late and is coming off one of those games where he was able to take a back seat and let McCollum do the dirty work. He should be fully rested for tonight and we'll see 35+ minutes out of him if things go to plan and the game is close. Lillard is priced in the mid-$9k's on both sites needing you 45 in cash games to make you happy. The Lakers stink at defense and rank 24th against the PG position in particular. Lillard is a solid play in both cash games and tournaments. Goran Dragic FD - $7200 DK - $7800Opponent - PHOProj Pts FD - 33.26 DK - 34.4 Point guard isn’t a spot I’m looking to pay down at. At least not yet. We do have immense value at other positions and a whole lot to be ignored here. We’ll instead stay in the mid-range, away from Damian Lillard. Dragic and the Heat will face off with the Suns in what will be a fantasy goldmine for the Heat squad. The Suns play faster than anyone in the league and will now give up an extra 5-10 to the opposition. As for tonight, Goran Dragic is one of your best options at the position. He’s playing 30+ minutes on a nightly basis and holds an FP range of 30-55 in this excellent match-up. Let’s touch on the other side of things with Elfrid Payton. Elfrid Payton FD - $7100 DK - $7200Opponent - MIAProj Pts FD - 35.94 DK - 36.16 If Dragic isn’t exciting enough or is going to be too popular, Elfrid Payton is as good of a pivot as you’ll ever find. If we’re talking about the trade deadline,...
