Shabazz Napier only picked up 27 minutes with Lillard out last time, but the game was a blowout and Napier wasn’t needed. You can project him for 30 minutes if the game stays close. C.J. McCollum will also take an extra 5-10 shots and could play some point guard, leading to Connaughton grabbing 20-25 minutes. All in all, Napier and McCollum are the targets. DeMarre Carroll has been ruled out against the Bucks The Nets have a ton of bodies to run and expect them all to see an extra three or four minutes. That includes Caris LeVert, Joe Harris, and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson. RHJ and LeVert are playable against a weak Bucks defense, but neither will see crazy minutes or usage. Every Lineup Guys Shabazz Napier FD - $3500 DK - $5300Opponent - HOUProj Pts FD - 15.85 DK - 15.88 There isn’t all that much news today. With Lillard out, Napier will have a hard time missing value at near-minimum. He’s safe in all formats and close to a must in my opinion. He will see 27 minutes as a worst-case scenario. He still hits value in that case and you’re perfectly fine. His ceiling is 40+ and he projects around 30. In those cases, it’s a huge uphill battle if you fade. Chris Paul isn’t the best match-up in the world, but I expect him to move over and cover McCollum, who’ll have the ball in his hands just as much. We are looking at two solid slates tonight with the first starting at 1:05 and the second at 7:07. We have six games on this early slate and it's jam-packed full of action. Although we have just six games on the slate, we're working with Corey Kluber, Noah Syndergaard, Luis Severino, Alex Wood, Dallas Keuchel, and Aaron Nola. Those are some pretty incredible names for such a small slate. You can get 7+ strikeouts out of any of those guys if they are on their game, but Noah Syndergaard is our favorite of the bunch. He went six innings in his first start against the Cardinals and struck out 10. He looked better than ever. He now draws a match-up against an extremely weak Philadelphia Phillies lineup. They are projected to put up just 3.20 runs and Vegas opened the K prop at 8 1/2. Syndergaard is going to cost you an arm and a leg, but it could very well be worth it. Let's look at a cheaper option that's plenty safe for the price. Aaron Nola FD 8700 DK 8500 Opponent - NYM (Noah Syndergaard) Park - NYM FD - 35.5 DK - 18.88 Aaron Nola only went 5 1/3 innings in his first start and struck out just 3. That's because he faces a Braves team that just doesn't strikeout much. He now draws the Mets, who are an equally atrocious offense to the Phils. When Todd Frazier and Adrian Gonzalez are in the 5 and 6 hole in 2017, you know a lineup is going to struggle. The bottom of the order is just atrocious and even the good hitters (Cespedes, Bruce) strikeout a ton. Nola should grab at least 5 or 6 K's against this team and five or six innings is easy work. His price is fair in the mid-$8k's on both sites and you don't need a huge game. I will do my best to pay up for Noah Syndergaard, but paying down for Nola in a few spots won't kill me. You have to strongly consider Corey Kluber. It's just preference between him and Syndergaard. Main...

What We Know Terry Rozier has been ruled out against the Bucks What We're Waiting to Know Kevin Love is questionable to play with an illness It’s never a surprise to see Kevin Love on the injury report. I think it’s a fact that he gets sick more than any other player in the history of the NBA. Exaggerating, but he’s always on the report it seems. He’s questionable tonight in a big game ha the Raptors and will open up some opportunity if out. Larry Nance, Jeff Green, and Tristan Thompson would all be candidates for big increases, but I think Nance Jr. fits this match-up best with Serge Ibaka. The Cavs have also shown a willingness to play Jeff Green huge minutes and he makes sense here as well. If Love plays, I don’t have any interest at all in this group of guys. I’ll just stick to LeBron and move along. Michael Beasley is questionable with an illness vs the Magic With Troy Williams already ruled out for an extended period of time, the Knicks could be short-handed tonight. I like Beasley if he plays in all formats. If he’s out, a ton of minutes should go to Lance Thomas. Courtney Lee and Luke Kornet will also pick up a few and Kornet is interesting at the very least. Brook Lopez is questionable to play with back soreness If Lopez plays, you can play him against the Jazz, who you need to have size against. If Lopez is out, Ivica Zubac and Channing Frye are both candidates to see big minutes. I like Zubac a little bit more and he's extremely cheap on both sites. The match-up with the Jazz isn't good, though. Wilson Chandler is questionable to return from his nose injury Chandler remains questionable after missing last game. It’s not hard to figure out what to do if he’s out. Torrey Craig picked up 36 minutes and put up 23 fantasy points. This is only because of the injury to Gary Harris as well, but those minutes are there either way. This match-up against the Pacers is a good one, as they rank 22nd against the position and play extremely fast. Craig would be a phenomenal savings option in...

With this being the 5th day of MLB season, we are working with some very bad pitchers. When Charlie Morton and Jameson Taillon are the two most expensive, you know things are going to get rough. We’ll kick things off on the early slate with Jameson Taillon. The up and coming ace posted a 3.67 xFIP in 2017 and followed it up with some strong peripherals and batted ball rates. Tonight, he sees a Twins lineup that’s pretty polarizing. With plenty of power in these bats, they strikeout their fair share. Taillon will likely be on a pitch count around 100 max, so there is always a limited ceiling early in the year. These Twins can obviously put numbers on the board, but Taillon is clearly the best pitcher to choose from and fits the match-up pretty nicely. With just four other games on this slate, Taillon should end up 30-40% owned in the morning. Main Charlie Morton FD 8500 DK 11100 Opponent - BAL (Chris Tillman) Park - HOU FD - 33.87 DK - 17.92 While we have a lot more games on this main slate, the pitching doesn't get any better. At all. Charlie Morton is the most expensive option on the board and while he's a great pitcher, it's tough when he's your best option. We will look at him, though, as he's in a pretty solid spot against a K-friendly Orioles. While it's been just a few days, they already hold a 28% strikeout rate It can't be a surprise with guys like Chris Davis leading off and Pedro Alvarez and Colby Rasmus in the backend. The middle of the order hitters like Schoop, Mancini, and Jones all strikeout a lot as well. Morton, a righty, was a reverse splits pitcher in 2017. He obliterated lefties to the tune of a .249 wOBA and 32.8% K rate. Against righties, a very different story with a .345 wOBA and 20% K rate. He spent his offseason working on it, but so does everyone else. It's still up in the air whether or not we will see change, but even if we...

This is day four of the MLB season and we're running short at pitcher. We fortunately have some decent options, but it's certainly the worst day so far. We'll kick it off in Miami, who will host Jose Quintana and the Cubs. Quintana dominated in two different cities in 2017 and was quietly one of the better pitchers in the league. He posted a 3.73 xFIP with an elite 9.23 K/9. He's been effective against both sides of the plate, but is definitely better against lefties. He faces off against a Marlins team that is absolutely one of the worst lineups in the league. We won't be looking at any team stats after just three games, but you should know what's going on when Starlin Castro and Justin Bour are in the three and four hole. This game is also in Marlins Park, which is one of the friendlier ballparks in the league for pitchers. Quintana is extremely safe in all formats and the top pitcher on this slate. Luke Weaver FD 7800 DK 8000 Opponent - NYM (Steven Matz) Park - NYM FD - 33.3 DK - 17.59 Luke Weaver had an incredible 2017 season and put himself in the mix as another star Cardinals pitcher. He posted a ridiculous 2.93 xFIP and 10.04 K/9. He's only 24 years old and going to get better as the years go by. Tonight, he faces off with the Mets. They hold the 3rd lowest implied team total on the slate and it's no surprise. They have some solid hitters and have a lot of power, but they strike out a ton and hit lefties a lot better. Citi Field is friendly to pitchers and ranked 20th in 2017 for righty power. The only problem I can find here is the match-up with Matz and the win uncertainty. Where the win matters on FanDuel, I like Quintana and Hill more. With that being said, I think Weaver has a huge ceiling and could strikeout 10 without issue. On a day with a bunch of so-so pitchers in average match-ups, Weaver is fine in all formats. Rich Hill...
