We've got you completely covered. Pitcher Max Scherzer FD 12000 DK 14000 Opponent - MIA (Jose Urena) Park - MIA FD - 49.28 DK - 27.55 Welcome to MLB Friday! We have a jam-packed 14 game slate on our hands with a ton to look at across the board. To the surprise of absolutely nobody, Max Scherzer will head the night as our top pitcher. He’s a top option against any team, but especially the Marlins. They are easily one of the more lackluster offenses in baseball and provide no sort of power punch. Against righties, they rank 29th in baseball with a .279 wOBA. They nicely back that up with 24.1% K rate and putrid .113 ISO. Scherzer is the best pitcher in baseball right and striking out over 13 batters per 9 innings. The Marlins are implied to score just 2.45 runs tonight and Scherzer is the clear top dog. The problem lies in the price. If you can afford him with a lineup you’re happy with, don’t second guess it. James Paxton FD 9700 DK 11900 Opponent - MIN (Fernando Romero) Park - SEA FD - 41.34 DK - 22.46 You might have to pay down a bit if you plan on paying up for more than a bat or two. James Paxton is going to give you huge upside and a solid floor at a much lower price tag. Paxton has been an inning-eater this season and has struck out more batters than ever before on a per inning basis. He’s gone 9 innings in two of his last three games and has proven to be a workhorse with an iron arm. He draws a match-up tonight with a Twins squad that hasn’t been putting it together as of late. They are league average against lefties, but strikeout 25% of the time and rank 21st with a .154 ISO. Paxton is lethal when keeping the ball in the park and the Twins don’t have any righty to be all that scared of. It’s hard to expect another 8+ innings, but 7 innings and 7 strikeouts seems like a fair expectation and more than enough production for the price. He’s no Max Scherzer, but still a spend up pitcher in an solid spot worth paying up for in all formats. Ross Stripling...

We've got you completely covered. Pitcher Max Scherzer FD 11600 DK 14000 Opponent - LAD (Ross Stripling) Park - WSH FD - 47.96 DK - 26.86 Welcome to Friday baseball! We have a jam-packed 15 game slate on our hands with a whole lot to look at. Per the usual, Max Scherzer is the top dog when on the mound. He’s always going to cost you an arm and leg and make you sacrifice more than any other arm. At the same time, he’s more consistent and has more upside than anyone. Tonight, he faces a watered down Dodgers lineup hat hasn’t been very good. On the season, they rank 12th against righties with a .319 team wOBA and 22% strikeout rate. Certainly nothing that scares you away from Scherzer, who’s sporting a 13.9 K/9 and 1.75 xFIP. I’ve long been a Kershaw truther, but I’m finally taking Scherzer if given the choice between the two. As for tonight, it’s just a matter of price. If you can afford him, there’s not much of a debate. Jacob deGrom FD 10000 DK 9800 Opponent - ARI (Zack Godley) Park - NYM FD - 39.44 DK - 21.33 If you can’t or don’t want to pay all the way up for whatever reason, we have a great pivot just below Scherzer. Outside of leaving last game for medical reason, Jacob DeGrom has been great and very consistent. In his 7 prior starts, he reached 6 innings in five of them and struck out 8+ in three. Tonight, he’s on 6 days of rest and facing the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Mets will host the D-Backs in Citi Field, where DeGrom much prefers pitching. He’s been a lot worse against lefties historically, but has sported a sub .250 combined wOBA in the season. The Diamondbacks team is pretty strong up front, but they rank 29th against righties with a pitiful .289 wOBA and 25% strikeout rate. DeGrom doesn’t have the same upside in most nights as Scherzer, but he could end up going 8+ innings if the Diamondbacks come out swinging early. Let’s find someone a bit cheaper. Ivan Nova FD 8300 DK 6400 Opponent - SD (Tyson Ross) Park - SD FD - 32.79 DK - 16.44 Ross Stripling FD 6000 DK 4200 Opponent - WSH (Max Scherzer)...

We've got you completely covered. Pitcher Carlos Carrasco FD 9800 DK 12200 Opponent - DET (Mike Fiers) Park - DET FD - 38.4 DK - 20.95 Welcome to MLB Monday! We have a solid 8 game slate on our hands tonight that’s packed full of action. We’ll kick things off on the mound with Carlos Carrasco, who is actually a pretty easy cash game play for me. I know he had a couple off-games prior to last, but I think he corrected any doubts about his game with the 9 innings and 14 strikeouts vs the Brewers. Carrasco is a true ace and there's no way he should be cheaper than Patrick Corbin. Monday, Carrasco draws the Tigers. They’re a weaker lineup than I can ever remember and are currently ranked 21st against righties in terms of wOBA. They strikeout close to 23% of the time and don’t have much pop. That might not need to be said when Victor Martinez is the 3 hitter in 2018. Carrasco is fairly priced on both sites and the guy I’ll be leaning on for cash games. There are some other options worth a look, so let’s move on. Patrick Corbin FD 10000 DK 12700 Opponent - MIL (Junior Guerra) Park - ARI FD - 38.5 DK - 20.33 In the past, Patrick Corbin has been a tourney-only pitcher with a ton of upside and just as much downside. He was pitching in a tough ballpark and has big HR problems since entering the majors. So far through 2018, Corbin has held a .247 wOBA vs righties and a .176 vs lefties. He still struggles with command on time and it’s why we don’t see him work late into games. As for the match-up, the Brewers rank 29th against lefties and strikeout 21% of the time. Chase Field is no longer a hitter ballpark and the numbers have backed that. Corbin is an elite play in all formats, though I personally prefer Carrasco. Joey Lucchesi FD 8300 DK 8100 Opponent - COL (Tyler Anderson) Park - SD FD - 33.97 DK - 17.72 The only real problem we’re looking at here is the leash. If given 100 pitches, Lucchesi is close to a lock at the price. However, it’s only fair to project 70-80. That severely limits his...

We've got you completely covered. Pitcher Corey Kluber FD 11200 DK 13300 Opponent - KC (Danny Duffy) Park - KCFD - 42.58 DK - 23.32 Welcome to MLB Sunday. Mother’s Day Baseball! We’re looking at a full 15 games on the day, but five of them were cut from the main slate. That includes Coors Field and it’s 11+ over/under (on FanDuel). We have a couple offenses to focus on, but there are a lot of different ways to go on this slate. We kick things off in Cleveland, where the Indians will host the Royals. Our most expensive option on the board is also our favorite in Corey Kluber. Kluber is one of the obvious three best pitchers in the league and some would argue him as number 1. He’s been exceptional to start the season, allowing a .256 wOBA to lefties and a .238 to righties. You simply don’t get better than this arm. Today, he faces off with the Royals. They’ve ranked 18th in baseball against righties with a team .314 wOBA and near-20% strikeout rate. Sal Perez and Jorge Soler will personally make sure that number eventually gets over 20%. Kluber prefers working at home and Vegas expects him to dominate. He’s the top pitcher on the board and it just comes down to the price and whether or not you can afford him. James Paxton FD 10100 DK 12500 Opponent - DET (Blaine Hardy) Park - DETFD - 39.86 DK - 21.85 If Corey Kluber is a tad bit more expensive than you'd like or you just don't like the spot, James Paxton is a phenomenal pivot. He's expensive on both sites at this point, but it's more than rightfully deserved. He threw a no-hitter in his last start and all eyes will be on that, but it's not even my favorite start of his. He struck out 16 Athletics the game before and 10 Indians a week before that. He's one of the emerging top aces in baseball and has a leash well over 100 pitches, which isn't all that easy to find anymore. He's held a wOBA under .250 against both sides of the plate and is striking out 10+ batters per 9 innings. Today, he gets a solid match-up with the watered down Tigers lineup. When Victor...

We've got you completely covered. Pitcher Max Scherzer FD 11700 DK 13300 Opponent - ARI (Matt Koch) Park - ARI FD - 46.76 DK - 26.32 Welcome to MLB Friday! We have a full 14-game slate on our hands tonight with more than enough options at each position. At pitcher, there are a few guys to consider paying up for and a few more if you need value. The top dog is Max Scherzer, per the usual when he's on the mound. He faces off with the Diamondbacks in Chase Field tonight. They are projected for just 3.10 runs. If you haven't been paying attention, Chase Field has added a humidor and is nowhere near the hitter's park it was prior to this season. The Diamondbacks rank 23rd against righties in baseball with just a .304 wOBA and an enticing 25% strikeout rate. We know Scherzer is as elite as it gets, but let's take a quick look: Since the start of 2017, a .189 wOBA against righties and a .291 wOBA against lefties. He is always striking out 12+ batter per nine innings and has as much upside than anyone in the game. He's the top option on this slate and it's just a case of whether you can afford him or not. Justin Verlander FD 11300 DK 13000 Opponent - TEX (Cole Hamels) Park - HOU FD - 45.31 DK - 24.54 If you don't like Max Scherzer, want to be a little bit different in tourneys or you just need to pay a little bit down, Justin Verlander is a solid pivot. It doesn't make all that much sense, but he's been better than ever before at age 35. No matter the reason, but the peripherals are legitimate and everything lines up. There is no luck going on. He's currently striking out 11.74 batters per nine innings and has held an excellent 3.41 xFIP. The Astros will host the Rangers in Minute Maid Park, where Verlander has been elite. The Rangers have been horrid against righties, ranking 24th in baseball. They also strike out the 3rd most at 26.5%. Verlander is just a tad bit cheaper than Scherzer, but that's not the only reason to pivot. He will also be far lesser owned and you can capitalize in a tournament. I personally...
