With the MLB playoffs underway and football in full swing, we’re into the best time of the year for sports fans. We have a solid Saturday NBA slate on our hands tonight with plenty to look through. At point guard, we have a ton of guys that deserve attention. On the high-end, Simmons, Lillard and Wall are all in good spots. We just have some cheaper options that have ludicrous price tags. With that said, if you have the funds, don’t go out of your way to avoid the studs. We’ll kick things off with Jamal Murray, who’s playing in the second highest total game of the night between the Nuggets and Suns. The Nuggets are favored by 10 and hold an implied total of 117, giving plenty of room for everyone to get their work. In game 1, Murray faced off with Patrick Beverley and the slow-pace Clippers. He has a good excuse for a dud of a performance. Tonight, there is no such excuse. The Suns play fast and the don’t play a lick of defense. Murray is going to breakout this season and this game should start it all. At such a ridiculous price, he’s a guy I’m willing to run in all formats in this match-up. Isaiah Canaan FD - $4300 DK - $4200Opponent - DENProj Pts FD - 29.79 DK - 30.42 If you’ve watched Suns basketball yet this season, it’s obvious why Isaiah Canaan is starting. He’s the perfect point guard for Devin Booker. He’s still capable of running the offense and creating a shot, but he’s just fine sitting in the corner and letting Booker do his magic. He also loves to run and fits right in with what the Suns want from this offense. He contributed across the board in his first start with 8 points, 6 boards, and 7 assists. He should play 30+ minutes a night as a starter, and I don’t see how you can pass that up against Denver. All three of these guys are rock...

We have a full day of baseball to go along with an exciting college football slate. It'll be the last start of the season for most of these pitchers and a lot of teams just simply don't care at this point. Our favorite expensive pitcher on the board is Corey Kluber, who's in a tier of his own. He's gone 7+ innings in 4 of the last 5 games and has struck out 10 batters per 9 innings. The Indians aren't putting a leash on him and it's a very smart thing to do with a pitcher that lives off of momentum. Tonight, he faces a pitiful Royals lineup. Against righties, they rank 23rd against righties with a .307 wOBA and strikeout 22% of the time. Playing Kluber comes down to the price. If you like a cheap offense, play him and lock in the points. If you like some expensive bats, let's take a look at some cheaper arms. Wade Miley FD 6900 DK 6000 Opponent - DET (Daniel Norris) Park - MIL FD - 31.55 DK - 15.47 Wade Miley is just way too cheap for this spot. I'm not one to say he's some great pitcher, but he gets it done and is pretty good at damage control. With Miley, it's all about the match-up. The Detroit Tigers are one of the weaker offenses in baseball and have ranked 22nd against lefties with a 21% strikeout rate and .312 wOBA. Miley has sported a .378 wOBA against both sides of the plate, so it's not like you have to be careful against one side of the plate. With that being said, you're playing Miley for safety. He doesn't strike anyone out and you won't find him going deep into the game. He will go 5-7 innings and give up two or three runs. The price is fair and he's a solid play in all formats. Early - Clayton Kershaw, Ryan Borucki First Base/Catcher Jesus Aguilar FD 3900 DK 5300 Opponent - DET (Daniel Norris) Park - MIL FD - 13.82 DK - 10.35 We’ll dive right into the bats with an offense...

We have a day before football kicks off and we’re entering the final stretch of the regular season. If you have a team in the race, this is one of the most exciting times of the season. If you’re a fantasy only fan, not so much. No matter your personal outlook, everyone wants to get action on the last few slates of the season. We have a hefty 13-game slate on our hands with plenty of pitching options. We’ll lead it off with Justin Verlander, who will get his last start before taking the mound in game 1 of the ALDS. Steady as could be, Verlander has gone 6+ innings in 5 of the last 6 games and has struck out double digits in 4 of his last 5. It doesn’t make much sense, but Verlander is as good of a pitcher as he ever has been. Oh ya, he gets to face off with the worst team in baseball. The Baltimore Orioles rank 26th against righties with a .296 wOBA and strikeout at a 23.6% (top-10) clip. The Astros are the biggest favorites on the slate and Verlander is the safest cash game play. It’s just a matter of affording him. Hyun-Jin Ryu FD 9700 DK 11100 Opponent - SF (Madison Bumgarner) Park - SFFD - 34.44 DK - 18.09 If you’re not wanting to pay the premium for Justin Verlander, Corbin and Ryu are both excellent options. We slightly prefer Ryu. This game matters a ton and he sees a great match-up in a phenomenal pitching ballpark. On the season, the Giants are even worse than the aforementioned Orioles. Sitting 29th, they’ve put together a .296 wOBA backed up by a pitiful 24% strikeout rate. AT&T Park is one of the best in baseball for limiting runs and that’s especially important for Ryu, who’s often ruined by the long ball. On the contrary, he’s striking out more batters (10+ per 9) than before and has maintained the .290 wOBA allowed. The Giants offense is pitiful and the Dodgers need a solid performance out of Ryu. He’s safe in all formats. Tyler Glasnow FD 6800...

We've got you completely covered. Pitcher Early Tyler Glasnow FD 7000 DK 9800 Opponent - TOR (Thomas Pannone) Park - TOR FD - 32.14 DK - 16.81 Welcome to Saturday baseball! I know football is in full swing, but baseball is nearing October and things are heating up. We have two slates on our hands tonight and we’ll break each of them down separately. We only have three games on the early slate and therefore not a lot to choose from. At pitcher, Tyler Glasnow gives you the right amount of safety and upside. He’s been stellar since joining the Rays and his price hasn’t quite caught up. His wOBA allowed dipped to a career-low .230 over the last two months and he’s striking out 11 batters per 9. This match-up with Toronto isn’t anything to write home about, ranking league average against righties with a .319 wOBA. Glasnow is going 6-7 innings every time he takes the hill and you won’t find a better option elsewhere for the price. Let’s get to the main slate. Main Rich Hill FD 9200 DK 9500 Opponent - SD (Jacob Nix) Park - LAD FD - 41.24 DK - 22.51 On to the main slate, we have a couple guys that deserve attention. On the high-end, Verlander is in a tier of his own. He's also priced $2k higher than the field. If you have the funds, you know what you're getting with one of the best pitchers in all of baseball. When you couple that with it being September, Verlander is going to give you a solid performance. I just personally think there are better options for the price. We'll move down to Rich Hill, who has the best match-up of all with the San Diego Padres. Against lefties, they rank 22nd in baseball with a .299 wOBA. They also strikeout 23% of the time and have the 4th lowest HR/FB %. Rich Hill will never go more than 7 innings, but he's extremely safe at over 30 FanDuel points. If you have bats you feel like you can lean on, Hill is a great guy to slot into your cash games. His risk level is substantially lower than anyone in the same price range and he still lets you pay up for some hitters. There are...
Daily Fantasy MLB Pitchers and Stacks for FanDuel and DraftKings – 9/17/18
Daily Fantasy MLB Pitchers and Stacks for FanDuel and DraftKings - 9/17/18 We already highlighted Patrick Corbin and Tyler Glasnow in our DAY OF WEEK picks article. We also highlighted the TEAM MOST WRITTEN ABOUT IN PICKS ARTICLE as a popular game stacks at their respective team price points. Here we will look at some other (possible GPP) considerations. First time with MLB? Be sure to read our free MLB Ebooks on building lineups, general strategy and more. We've got you completely covered. Pitchers Mike Foltynewicz FD 9800 DK 10800 Opponent - STL (Miles Mikolas) Park - STL FD - 37.55 DK - 19.79 We looked at Patrick Corbin as our top pitcher in the main picks article, but it’s not without some doubt. All of these high-end options hold some doubt tonight. With Wheeler, he’s the underdog against a solid Phillies lineup. Corbin is facing a tough Cubs lineup that can knock the best pitcher out in an inning. You then get to Mike Foltynewicz, who’s hosting a Cardinals team in must-win mode. The lineup isn’t all that scary, considering they rank 21st against righties with a measly .312 wOBA and 22.3% strikeout rate. Foltynewicz on the other hand, has held both lefties and righties to a sub .274 wOBA on the season and has peripherals to back it up. He’s striking out 10+ batters per 9 innings and has gone 6+ innings in 7 straight games. He’s safe, cheaper than Corbin and Wheeler, and has similar upside. I’ll have plenty of Foltynewicz in cash games and tournaments. Jake Arrieta FD 8200 DK 7800 Opponent - NYM (Zack Wheeler) Park - NYM FD - 29.73 DK - 15.03 I know Arrieta has been a bit shaky as of late, but he’s looked better in his last two starts and now pulls up to a match-up where he’s favored against Zack Wheeler. With just a 7 run total, the Mets hold an implied team total under 3.5. Arrieta has struggled against lefties with a .339 wOBA allowed, but has dominated righties with a .283. He’s striking out 7.5 batters per 9 and is walking just over 2. His price is way down and rightfully so. I just see a favorite against the top pitcher on the slate and force myself into interest. Every pitcher on this slate comes with a good deal of risk and Arrieta is no different. He’ll be in plenty of my lineups, but not with much confidence at all. Stacks...
