Daily Fantasy MLB Hitter Stacks FanDuel & DraftKings 8/29/16
Daily Fantasy MLB Hitter Stacks FanDuel & DraftKings 8/29/16 Welcome to our daily article breaking down some of the other stacking targets on this slate. We covered our system's top value plays in our daily picks article and pitching breakdown but here we will look at other dudes to consider. In case you didn’t notice, on Saturday we released our brand new NFL DFS suite of tools including full projections, optimal NFL lineups and Player Lab which includes filters to help you create NFL lineups for FanDuel and DraftKings. It’s a robust set of tools; well beyond anything we’ve ever had and something we feel will help our users *ahem* tackle the NFL season. Using tools like these for the NFL season is crucial and you can grab a free 2 WEEK trial to test out yourself. START YOUR FREE 2 WEEK TRIAL! A quick heads up - we post an updates article every day in the early afternoon, EST, to catch everyone up on how things are changing as a result of whatever news has come through. We also have great talks in the comments of that article. Hope to see you there! Stacking in DFS MLB is such an important concept if you’re looking to take down a big tournament on FanDuel or DraftKings. It’s also a good way to diversify cash games because the variance in baseball can mean wild swings (ahem) in the scoring on a particular slate. The concept is easy. You want to pile players from one or two teams into your lineups because those guys compound scores by helping each other score runs when the going is good. Stack Targets Toronto Blue Jays vs. Wade Miley (BAL) The Blue Jays have just been killin' it as of late! They own a .227 ISO (2nd in MLB) and a .364 wOBA (1st in MLB) in their last 14 contests. They are crushing the baseball and making pitchers look like little leaguers out there, so why wouldn't you stack this offense? When they are hot, they are hard to stop! Not only has the baseball looked like a watermelon for this Jays' squad, but they also draw a beautiful matchup against southpaw, Wade Miley. This season, Miley is sporting a 5.51 ERA along with a 1.43 WHIP. He has struggled mightily this season and I expect him to have another rough outing against [Dong]aldson and company. My top 4 guys to stack: My top 4 guys to stack: Edwin Encarnacion, Jose Bautista, Josh Donaldson and Melvin Upton. Cleveland Indians vs. Hector Santiago(MIN) This Indians' offense has cooled down quite a bit, but I'm still looking to stack them tonight. Their prices have dropped and they...

Pitching Targets Note: We discussed Jose Fernandez and Carlos Martinez in the Main Article and will be going over a few more options below. Pitching Targets Jake Arrieta FD 10900 DK 12300 Opponent - PIT (Cole) Park - @CHCFD - 40.67 DK - 26.5 Jake Arrieta is pitching at home ladies and gentlemen! He's a different animal when pitching at home, so go ahead and give him a shot in tournaments. On the year, Arrieta has been killing it at Wrigley. He's boasting a 2.18 ERA to go along with a 3.37 xFIP and 29.6 K%. Not only are those numbers mind-blowing, but opponents are also hitting .180 against him (not a typo). Opponents aren't even hitting .200! I guess it's safe to say you can never go wrong with this ace when he's on the bump, especially when pitching at Wrigley. Not only does he have the ballpark in his favor, but he'll also be going up against the Pirates. Yes, the Pirates are in the playoff hunt, but they have been struggling to get anything going offensively. In their last 14 games, they own a .303 wOBA (24th in MLB) along with a .138 ISO (25th in MLB). They haven't gotten the bats going as of late, so I expect Arrieta to give us another Arrieta outing. He's an excellent tournament play today, as I don't expect his ownership percentages to be very high. Yu Darvish FD 10600 DK 10900 Opponent - SEA (Iwakuma) Park - @TEXFD - 36.6 DK - 24.05 [Yu] need help...

Pitching Targets Note: We discussed Chris Archer and Ivan Nova in the Main Article and will be going over a few more options below. Pitching Targets Madison Bumgarner FD 10800 DK 12800 Opponent - ATL (Whalen) Park - @SFFD - 43.34 DK - 28.41 Bumgarner is a heavy favorite and will be going up against a squad that owns a .286 wOBA against left-handed pitcher. What more could you possibly ask for? I know he has not looked great in his last two starts, but it's Bumgarner we are talking about! He owns a 2.44 ERA on the year, to go along with a 27.8 K% and 1.05 WHIP. He's been one of the most dominant pitchers in the game for years now, and will be going up against one of the worst offenses in league. He is in an excellent spot and I expect him to put up Bumgarner type numbers. R.A. Dickey FD 7200 DK 6600 Opponent - MIN (Gibson) Park - @TORFD - 30.84 DK - 20.09 I'm going to be very honest with you guys: I'm not a fan of the pitchers on todays slate, besides the two pitchers that Austyn mentioned in the Main Article. But it's my job to give you another guy or two, so I'll do just that. I'll give you two other guys based on our wonderful projection system and the first guy on the list is, R.A. Dickey. Dickey and his knuckleball are heavy favorites against the Twins, so I'll take my chances. Not only that, but...

You want to pile players from one or two teams into your lineups because those guys compound scores by helping each other score runs when the going is good. Stack Targets Toronto Blue Jays vs. Kyle Gibson (TOR) There are quite a few stacking options I love on this Sunday-Funday edition of the stacks article. But the first team on my list are the Toronto Blue Jays; and with good reason. Lets start off with the Blue Jays. They have been crushing the baseball and scoring runs left-to-right, so why wouldn't stack them? They own a .213 ISO (3rd in MLB) to go along with a .351 wOBA (4th in MLB), in their last 14 contests. This offense is going to cost you a pretty penny, but they have major upside and a beautiful matchup against, Kyle Gibson. Things haven't gone Gibson's way this season. He's boasting an ERA over five and opponents own a .291 AVG against him. He gives up quite a few hits, which will hurt him against this powerful offense that is currently on a roll. You have to love the matchup for the Jays against the righty and his 1.52 WHIP. My top 4 guys to stack: My top...

Pitching Targets Note: We discussed Noah Syndergaard and Jameson Taillon in the Main Article and will be going over a few more options below. Pitching Targets Marcus Stroman FD 8200 DK 9100 Opponent - MIN (Santana) Park - @TOR FD - 33.81 DK - 21.99 In the early slate, our projection system really likes, Marcus Stroman. And frankly, I can't blame it. He's an absolute beast! Yes he owns a 4.47 ERA, but his peripherals are stunning. What if I told you he owns a 3.33 xFIP and that put him ahead of Kluber, Lester, Scherzer, Sale and many more studs! He has the 5th best xFIP in the league! If that doesn't impress you, maybe his 3.50 SIERA will (10th in MLB). If you're still not impressed, I'm not sure what to tell you, but this kid is good. Just ignore his ERA and just look at his other numbers. Not only has he been a beast, but he also draws a favorable matchup against the Twins. I know this offense is very streaky, but they are currently on a [cold] streak, so jump on the Stroman train! They own a .293 wOBA and 80 wRC+ (both 28th in MLB) in their last 14 contests. Stroman has been great this season and the Twins are cold, which is why I'll go with him on this small slate. Dallas Keuchel FD 8700 DK 9200 Opponent - TB (Snell) Park - @HOU FD - 36.97 DK - 23.39 Wait -- is Keuchel pitching at home? Yes he is!...
