NFL News and Notes Devonte Parker (MIA) Devonte Parker is practicing one day, then out three days, back for two days and then out for four. Do you guys see the trend here? He clearly isn't healthy and has been having hamstring issues on [both] legs, which has not allowed him to practice [at all] this week. From the looks of it; he'll be out Week 1. He has not been able to log in a single practice and Adam Gase has expressed his frustration with the former 1st-round draft pick. With that being said, this is what we can expect from the Dolphins Week 1: With Parker out (I'm 95% sure he'll be out), we can expect Kenny Stills and Jarvis Landry to play the majority of WR2 sets. We can also see Jordan Cameron get more involved in the offense, even though he's had a case of the drops this preseason. I wouldn't roster any of these guys this week, as they will be going up against the "Legion of Boom" (Seahawks), unless you're playing a tournament and want to be contrarian. Stacking in DFS MLB is such an important concept if you’re looking to take down a big tournament on FanDuel or DraftKings. It’s also a good way to diversify cash games because the variance in baseball can mean wild swings (ahem) in the scoring on a particular slate. The concept is easy. You want to pile players from one or two teams into your lineups because those guys compound scores by helping each other score runs when the going is good. Stack Targets Houston Astros vs. Derek Holland (TEX) Not a whole lot of stacking option on the early slate, but the Astros sure look good in this one. Not only do they get a ballpark boost heading to Arlington, but they will be going up against Derek Holland, who has struggled mightily this season. On the year, Holland owns a 4.68 ERA as well as a 5.17 xFIP and 5.09 SIERA. It's safe to say things haven't been great for the southpaw this season. I know he's looked good in his last few outings, but I don't see that lasting much longer. He does own a 5.17 xFIP for crying out loud! The other reason why I like the Astros today, is because of the way they have been hitting the baseball. In their last 30 contests, they own a .331 wOBA and .181 ISO (both 10th in MLB). This team has some huge upside with all those big bats and playing at Arlington will certainly help, which is why I'll stack these guys in...

Pitching Targets Marco Estrada FD 8000 DK 8600 Opponent - TB (Archer) Park - @TBFD - 24.32 DK - 16.22 I know this isn't a picture of Marco Estrada, so don't tear me apart in the comments section below. We have a ton of options on the early slate; Archer, Arrieta, Keauchal and Bumgarner. With all those options, I somehow ended up with Estrada in my lineups. And here's why: Estrada has been everything the Blue Jays had hoped for, and more. On the year, he's sporting a 1.08 and 3.37 ERA. Those are very impressive numbers, especially since he's in the toughest division in the league (AL East). Not only does his WHIP and ERA impress me, but the fact that opponents own a .199 AVG against the northpaw, just [shocked] me. My jaw honestly dropped, so it's safe to say that number is very attractive. His numbers are one reason why I'm plugging Estrada into my lineups, so lets move on to the next. And the next reason why I'll be using him is because of his matchup. Sure, the Rays rank 15th in wOBA and wRC+ this season against righties (15th is smack in the middle), but going up against this Rays' ball club gives Estrada some upside. They own a 23.6 K% against right-handed pitchers, which is [4th-highest] in the league. Estrada does a little fanning of his own...

Not only because they have been crushing it (top 3 in ISO and wOBA last 14 games), but they also draw an elite matchup against the one-and-only, Ubaldo Jimenez. For starters, Jimenez has not been good this season (not trying to be mean). He is coming into today's contest boasting a 6.62 ERA to go along with a 1.85 WHIP and 12.3 BB%. Do you guys see why I love to pick Jimenez? The numbers speak for themselves. I know you guys know the famous "Mike Pelfrey Day" and I got some excellent news: I spoke with the House of Holliday's (obviously not real) and they approved of the "Happy Ubaldo Jimenez Day" So today is a Holliday! Before the start of the season, I don't think I had ever heard of, Drew Pomeranz! This kid is real [good] and is an excellent play today. He'll be going up against a Rays' offense that has really struggled against southpaws. They own a .313 wOBA (23rd in MLB) to go along with a whooping 25.7 K% (highest in MLB) against lefties this season. You're trying to get away from the "chalk" of the day, Max Scherzer, well don't look any further! A strikeout prone offense meets a guy that fans 27% of the batters he faces! Pomeranz' upside is through the roof and I love him for tournaments today. Cole Hamels FD 10300 DK 11500 Opponent - SEA (Paxton) Park - @TEXFD - 34.06 DK - 22.49 I guess we will stick to theme here and go from one southpaw to another. This time we will be looking at 32-year-old, Cole Hamels. The veteran is still putting up great numbers and it's safe to say he has been drinking from the fountain of youth. I feel like he's been in the league for 40 years and he's still killing it out there. Today, Cole draws an appealing matchup against the Mariners. Not only...
