A quick heads up - we post an updates article every day in the early afternoon, EST, to catch everyone up on how things are changing as a result of whatever news has come through. We also have great talks in the comments of that article. Hope to see you there! Stacking in DFS MLB is such an important concept if you’re looking to take down a big tournament on FanDuel or DraftKings. It’s also a good way to diversify cash games because the variance in baseball can mean wild swings (ahem) in the scoring on a particular slate. The concept is easy. You want to pile players from one or two teams into your lineups because those guys compound scores by helping each other score runs when the going is good. Pitching Targets Note: We have already discussed Aaron Nola and Hisashi Iwakuma in our main artcle. In this article we will discuss a few other options, mostly GPP options. Corey Kluber FD 10100 DK 11400 Opponent - MIN (Santana) Park - @CLEFD - 42.97 DK - 24.33 It's always tough to fade Jake Arrieta, but I feel comfortable doing just that today (in tournaments) and going with hard-throwing right-hander Corey Kluber. He will be going up against the Minnesota Twins, who have been below average against righties this season. They own a .305 wOBA (21st in MLB), 91 wRC+ (23rd in MLB) and .155 ISO (18th in MLB). Not only do they struggle creating runs and getting on base, but they also strikeout a ton. They possess a 22.9 K% (8th in MLB), which is perfect for any pitcher; especially Kluber. Now it's time to talk about Kluber. Since 2015, Kluber has been dominant with a 2.92 FIP. He also owns a 27.2 K% to go along with a 22.0 K-BB%. He has tremendous upside with his ability to fan a...
Daily Fantasy MLB Hitter Stacks for FanDuel and DraftKings- 5/14/16

You want to pile players from one or two teams into your lineups because those guys compound scores by helping each other score runs when the going is good. Stack Targets Chicago Cubs vs. Jeff Locke (PIT) The Cubs will be going up against Jeff Locke today, which provides Cubs' hitters with a beautiful matchup. Locke has been a solid starter in the past, but has struggled this season. He owns with a 4.68 ERA and has a FIP of 4.66 to back it up. He also has a 13 BB%, which shows us that he does not have control of his pitches. And he owns a 1.68 WHIP. He is allowing close to two base runners per inning on the base paths, which only means one thing for the Cubbies -- RUNS! We all know the Cubbies hit right-handed pitching hard, but don't under estimate them against left-handed pitching. They own a .350 wOBA (5th in MLB) and 117 wRC+ (4th in MLB) against left-handed pitching. When looking for particular hitters in this contest, it's tough to pin-point four guys out because I love them all, but I would stack the following guys: Ben Zobrist (.441 wOBA), Javier Baez (.407 wOBA), Dexter Fowler (.371 wOBA) and Kris Bryant (.353 wOBA). Those four guys devour southpaws, so they will...

Pitching Targets Note- Clayton Kershaw and David Price were talked about on our daily picks article. Vincent Velasquez FD 9100 DK 10900 Opponent - ATL (Blair) Park - @ATLFD - 40.59 DK - 22.67 Don't want to pay up for Clayton Kershaw? Then Vincent Velasquez is your guy! He will be going up against the Braves, who have had trouble getting anything going on offense. Fun fact about the Braves offense: The Braves have hit a total of nine home runs this season; 11 MLB players have hit 10 or more homers this season. This shows you the struggles they have to hit for power, so this will help Velasquez and his 44.8 FB% out big-time! I know I've talked about the Braves' inabilities to hit for power, but they also own a .274 wOBA (30th in MLB) and 65 wRC+ (30th in MLB). This is the perfect matchup for the 23-year-old. Velasquez is a guy worth grabbing in all formats tonight. I mentioned the beautiful matchup he has, but he also presents your team with a ton of upside....

Pitching Targets Note- Jon Lester and Drew Smyly were talked about on our daily picks article. Adam Conley FD 8400 DK 7400 Opponent - MIL (Gonzalez) Park - @MIA FD - 33.31 DK - 17.4 Adam Conley will get the nod against the Brewers tonight, and I see the 25-year-old delivering another quality start for the Marlins. He has been stellar to open the 2016 campaign, as he owns a 3.01 ERA, 26.2 K% and 16.2 K-BB%. He has shown us the ability to fan hitters (which is great for tournaments), and has shown us that he is able to keep the walks down (which helps his pitch count and limits damage). He will be going up against the Brewers, who are in the middle of the pack against left-handed pitching. They own a .91 wRC+ (22nd in MLB), .726 OPS (16th in MLB) and .319 wOBA (14th in MLB). This isn't a matchup that jumps out to you on paper, but there is one thing I do love about his matchup against the Brewers, and that is there --...

Early Slate Pitching Target Jaime Garcia FD 8400 DK 9700 Opponent - PHI (Eickhoff) Park - @STL FD - 33.8 DK - 17.63 This is a small two-game slate, so I recommend not trying to get cute and just go with the best pitcher on the slate -- Jaime Garcia. He will be going up against the Phillies, who have struggled against left-handed pitching this year. They own a .251 wOBA (29th in MLB) and 49 wRC+ (29th in MLB), which shows their inabilities to get anything going on offense, when a southpaw is on the mound. How bad is 49 wRC+ and .251 wOBA you may ask... The league average for wRC+ is at 100 (Phillies are all the way at 49) and the league average for wOBA is .316 (Phillies are all the way at .251)! Hope that comparison helps a bit. Not only do they struggle creating runs, but they also have trouble putting the ball in play. They have a whooping 29.5 K% (highest in MLB) against left-handed pitching. The next worst K% is at 26.3% (Padres)....
