A quick heads up - we post an updates article every day in the early afternoon, EST, to catch everyone up on how things are changing as a result of whatever news has come through. We also have great talks in the comments of that article. Hope to see you there! Stacking in DFS MLB is such an important concept if you’re looking to take down a big tournament on FanDuel or DraftKings. It’s also a good way to diversify cash games because the variance in baseball can mean wild swings (ahem) in the scoring on a particular slate. The concept is easy. You want to pile players from one or two teams into your lineups because those guys compound scores by helping each other score runs when the going is good. Pitching Targets Note: We discussed David Price and Chris Sale in the Main Article, and will be going over a few more options below. Stephen Strasburg FD 10600 DK 13400 Opponent - NYM (Harvey) Park - @WSHFD - 38.76 DK - 21.58 On a night with Chris Sale pitching, Strasburg's ownership percentages will be down, which is great for tournaments. He will be going up against the Mets, who just loss Lucas Duda and have been struggling in the month of May. They own a 89 wRC+ (22nd in MLB) and .299 OBP (24th in MLB). I rarely talk about on-base percentages, but [wow], a .299 OBP is just awful. Not only are the Mets struggling to get on base and creating runs, but they are also striking out a ton! They own a whooping 25.3 K% (3rd in MLB), and things won't get any better going up against the Stras-inator tonight! The Stras-inator on the other hand, has been killin' it! He owns a 2.29 FIP, to go along with a 30.9 K%. I won't list all of his numbers (even thought...

Vincent Velasquez FD 8900 DK 11800 Opponent - DET (Pelfrey) Park - @DETFD - 35.25 DK - 19.01 I'm going to start off by saying the Clayton Kershaw, Johnny Cueto and Gio Gonzalez are all excellent cash options (and my favorite options on the slate), but I will be talking about a few GPP plays I like on today's slate in this article. The first guy on the list is Vincent Velasquez. He will be going up against the Detroit Tigers tonight, which is never an easy task, but I love the ceiling this matchup provides him with. You might ask yourself "Velasquez has upside against the Tigers? This guy is insane." And the answer to that question is -- I might be a little crazy, but he sure does have upside. The Tigers have a lineup that showcases a lot of power, but with power, there are always side effects. The side effect the Tigers face due to...

Pitching Targets Note: We discussed Jeff Samardzija in the Main Article and will be going over a few more options below. Chris Sale FD 12100 DK 13800 Opponent - HOU (McHugh) Park - @CHWFD - 43.13 DK - 24.41 If you are playing some MLB tournaments tonight; Chris Sale is your guy! There are two reasons why he is not the clear-cut option on today's slate: 1. His price tag is just through the [roof], (especially on Draftkings) 2. He will be going up against the Astros, which consist of right-handed bats that devour left-handed pitching. You might ask yourself -- What would Nick do in a situation like this? The answer is -- not to be scared and fire away! Put Chris Sale into those GPP lineups. I know he is going up against the Astros, but that is not going to scare me away from his 30.4 K%, 1.75 BB/9 and 2.69 SIERA, since 2015. He has been lights out for as long as I can remember and provides your team with such a high ceiling. Why am I targeting the...

You want to pile players from one or two teams into your lineups because those guys compound scores by helping each other score runs when the going is good. Pitching Targets Note: We have already discussed Adam Conley in our main artcle. In this article we will discuss a few other options, mostly GPP options. Kenta Maeda FD 8800 DK 9700 Opponent - LAA (Shoemaker) Park - @LAD FD - 33.92 DK - 17.85 This slate is not a pretty one when it comes to selecting pitchers, so I will rely on Vegas odds to select the top cash option. and they love -- Kenta Maeda. He is heading into this contest facing Matt Shoemaker and as a -190 favorite. I expect the Dodgers to get ahead early in this game, which will allow Maeda to pitch relaxed and with confidence. Besides facing Matt Shoemaker, Maeda has a favorable matchup. He will be going up against the Angels, who have not hit right-handed pitchers well this season. They own a .305 wOBA (21st in MLB) and .127 ISO (29th in MLB). These guys sure struggle hitting for power, which is great for Maeda, but there is one flaw to this matchup. That is the fact that the Angels own a 16.0 K%....

Daily Fantasy MLB Hitter Stacks for FanDuel and DraftKings- 5/16/16

You want to pile players from one or two teams into your lineups because those guys compound scores by helping each other score runs when the going is good. Stack Targets (Hitter stats provided are vs. the handiness of the pitcher they are facing) L.A. Dodgers vs. Matt Shoemaker (LAA) The Dodgers are in a perfect position for success tonight. They will be going up against Matt Shoemaker, who has just been awful over the last two seasons. He owns a 5.17 ERA to go along with a 4.84 FIP. He sure gives up a ton of runs, but he also owns a 38.7 GB%. He does not induce many ground ball outs, so look for L.A. to execute on pitches that Shoemaker leaves up in the zone. Speaking of balls up in the zone -- Shoemaker owns a 1.69 HR/9. He is going to give up a long ball or two or three, so make sure to stack those Dodgers. With Shoemaker's 5.17 ERA (since 2015), every guy in the lineup is in play for me tonight. I know we can only stack a certain number of players, so I have narrowed it down to four guys. They are: Adrian Gonzalez (.347 wOBA), Chase Utley (.406 wOBA), Yasmani Grandal (.341 wOBA) and Corey Seager (.345 wOBA). They have been the...
