In the month of December, he went 9-0-1 with an unreal .955 save % and a 1.22 GAA, then in January, so far he is 5-0-1 with a .921 save % and a 2.21 GAA. The Bruins and their #1 defense travel to Ottawa to play the Senators, whose offense is ranked 24th and their powerplay unit is ranked 27th overall, and the star goalie has already defeated them twice this season while allowing only one goal and earning a shutout which happened to be in the very same building that they will be in this evening. I just don't get it and this guy has been one of the hottest goalies on the planet recently as he has won his last five starts while earning a 1.33 GAA and an absurd .960 save % during those five games. What makes me like this guy, even more, this evening is the fact that he used to play for the Ducks and he already defeated them once this season while allowing only one goal and that was in Anaheim. I expect the Avalanche to be moderate home favorites when it's all said and done and with all of these things considered, Bernier is an elite play and my top goalie in all formats.
