GOALIES Cam Talbot This is a tough day for goaltending as a couple of the elite guys have extremely tough matchups, and a couple of decent guys have good matchups but haven't been playing the greatest lately. The system loves Talbot and Dallas is playing it's 3rd game in 4 nights. They won last night in Calgary but the Flames aren't good, and they lost to Winnipeg 8-2 the night before last. Talbot started the season off red hot, but has cooled off recently. The thing is though is that his most recent starts were all on the road against the islanders, the Rangers, and most recently in Pittsburgh where the Oilers lost 4-3 in a shootout. Tonight is just what the doctor ordered. He faces a lot of shots by rule as evident by his 94 allowed in his last 3 games. the stars fire 30.3 shots on goal per game but only score 2.54 goals per game which is 20th in the league. Edmonton is 16th in goals against with 2.50 per game, and Vegas currently has them as the highest favoured team this evening (-158). I may look to Corey Crawford on Drafkings as he is cheaper than Talbot there, but Talbot is $1100 cheaper on FanDuel, and therefore makes a great play there in...

The Flames are playing their 3rd road in game in 4 nights after they got shutout late last night in Los Angeles. Calgary sits 18th in the league with 2.62 goals scored per game, and the Ducks are deadly on home ice and are coming off of a 5-1 victory over the Coyotes on Friday evening and as of this morning they are a -200 favourite to defeat the Flames. Gibson hasn't been the most consistent goalie to start the year, but he stopped 21 of 22 shots as his team cruised to an easy victory to give him 5 wins and a shutout so far and he has now allowed 2 goals or fewer in 7 of his last 9 games. GOALIES Al Montoya FD - $8600 DK - $8100 Opponent - CBJ Proj Pts FD - 18.35 DK - 4.59 You may be thinking "oh no, the best goalie in the world, Carey Price isn't starting for the Habs, so I should look somewhere else." I am telling you right now, don't do that. Montoya has played 4 games already this season, and he has been nothing short of brilliant by winning 3 games, and adding a shutout in one of those contests. He has allowed only 6 goals and has a save % of .955 which is awesome. Tonight Montreal travels to Columbus who is ranked 18th in the league with 2.63 goals scored per game. The Canadiens are actually 5th worst in the NHL with 32.6 shots per game, but they only allow a crazy low and league best 1.30 goals per game through 10 games. It is hard fading a Montreal goalie on any night this season, but with Montoya being $1600 cheaper than Price on FanDuel, and $600 cheaper on DraftKings, it just sweetens the deal even more. Daily Fantasy CFL Drafkings Picks Week 18 - 10/21/16 This week is a little difficult because of some uncertainty of who is playing and who is not, but I believe that we can find enough plays that will help fatten our wallets. Quarterback Mike Reilly Edmonton Eskimos 11,400 Even if every other starting QB was playing this week, Reilly would still be my top choice as there are so many reasons that lead me to believe that he will have a monster game. First of all, players will deny that they worry about individual stats, but we all now that it is a huge deal to them. Reilly is the league's leading passer in the CFL, and is 446 yards away from reaching 6,000. That is a monster number and it is not out of reach this week vs an awful Toronto team. Another key factor this week is that the Eskimos need a win to move ahead of Winnipeg to avoid crossing over to the East Division Nobody wants to be the cross-over team. Besides being the top passer in the league, the stud QB is 2nd with 28 TD's, and is 2nd in rushing TD's with 9, which includes running backs. That is awesome. The Argos give up the fewest yards in the league through the air with 263.8, but that is because they've played against mostly backup offences the last few weeks. Reilly matchup proof anyways so I don't care who he's playing against, and he's average 26.2 dk points in his last 3 weeks. He is a must play in cash games in this final week, and is a tough fade in your tournament  lineups as well. Brock Jensen Ottawa Red-Blacks 6500 There are very few good choices this week, and after Reilly it looks plain awful. On that note though we need a cheap option for our tournament lineups and here we go.  Jensen is the 3rd stringer in the Nation's Capital, but he gets the starting nod this week because Ottawa has 1st place in the East division, and home field advantage already clinched. He will want to prove that he belongs in Ottawa, and here's his chance in a home matchup against the Bombers. He played...

Don't take it personal, it just is what it is. The good ol' Blue Jackets are 24th in the league so far with only 2.6 goals scored per game. It took a short while for the Ducks of Anaheim to wake up, but it looks like the bell has finally rang, as they put a beating on the Nashville Predators on Wednesday for a final score of 6-1. Gibson stopped 28 of 29 shots for a save % of 9.66 which is very good. It took a rocket scientist like myself to figure that one out. I imagine that the Ducks will be a major favorite tonight. He will very likely be highly owned so you can look elsewhere for your tourney lineups, but when it comes to cash games, it would not be wise to fade him. This pick is not for the faint of heart, and because everyone and their ancestors will be on Gibson tonight, we need to dig a little deeper to find a play to get away from the crowd.
