The Rangers have the best offense in the league, and Mike Condon should be in net today who is a huge downgrade from Craig Anderson. The Islanders are punchless on offence and are 21st in the NHL with only 2.42 goals scored per game. John Tavares is a super-star but after him, they lack serious talent. With the Sharks playing on home ice, they will be able to try and shut down Tavares by shadowing him with their best defensive players. Jones has had an up and down season so far, but in his last two games, he shutout the Devils, and allowed only one goal in a victory against the Blackhawks. The Flames were actually doing pretty well for a few games and then crashed back down to Earth after losing 4-2 to Buffalo last time out. They were an average team with Johnny Gaudreau in the lineup, and now they lack serious firepower. They're Power-play is worst in the league with an ugly 8.1% success rate. The Blue Jackets are a much improved team this year, and Vegas currently has them listed as -175 favourites this evening. The caps are finding their offensive groove and that's great news for the star net-minder. Detroit is 21st in the league in scoring with an average of only 2.47 goals per game, and 28th in the league in shots on goal with 28.2, and they lack serious firepower since Datsyuk retired. They signed Frans Nielsen to replace him. Seriously? No offense my Danish friend, but you're no Datsyuk. Holtby has won 6 of his last 7 starts and although he lacks upside, he has a very high floor this evening and makes a terrific cash game play. The Flyer's goalies wouldn't be able to stop a slow rolling beach ball right now and their Defense is about as good as the team from the Mighty Ducks movie when they first hit the ice. If you don't remember then watch it again. Great movie. The Leafs will probably be good in the future, but there is and will be growing pains. They are mostly just a bunch of young pups yet. The Current Stanley Cup Champions are too good to let a below average team walk all over them, and I expect them to dominate the Leafs right from puck drop today. The Vegas line just opened for this game and the Pens are a massive -225 favourites to win. Murray has excelled at every level he has played at and is 100 % healthy after breaking his hand at the World Cup of Hockey earlier this fall. In the three games he's started this year he is 3-0 with a shutout and only 4 goals against on 93 shots.
