Wow that's impressive and last game he shut out the Red Wings at home where he will be facing the Coyotes and their 29th ranked offense this evening. There are only 30 teams in the league by the way and if Colorado wasn't as terrible as they are then Arizona would own the worst offense. Look for the Ducks to cruise to an easy victory tonight and Gibson is the top cash game play of the day.     Thomas Greiss FD - $8400 DK - $7500 Opponent - COL Proj Pts FD - 14.67 DK - 3.67 If the Islanders were at home here then this guy would be right up there as the top cash game play. Basically, we are just going to pick on a couple of terrible offenses. Miller and the Canucks welcome the Coyotes and their 2nd worst offense to town and Vancouver has actually been playing some good hockey lately. The former Sabres star netminder has won his last three starts while giving up only five goals in that span. Arizona is simply a bad team and because the Canucks have been good lately I'm seriously considering Miller in cash games, and he makes a great play in GPP's today.     Brian Elliott FD - $7700 DK - $8100 Opponent - COL Proj Pts FD - 16.49 DK - 4.12 Holy mackerel I didn't realize that Elliot and the Flames have been playing well until I started writing this piece. Elliot has won his last four starts and today he gets to face Colorado and their league-worst offense in his home barn. He's not a great goalie and not even much better than average, but the Flames are currently -190 favorites according to Las Vegas and because of the uncertainty he looks like he could be a decent play in all formats, but I said decent so don't be too upset if he puts up a stinker today because he is Brian Elliot, not Ken Dryden.  ...

The Leafs welcome the lowly Red Wings and their 24th ranked offense to town today, and they just happen to be playing outdoors which should be a fun game to watch. Toronto allows an average of 32 shots on goal per game and in his last start Andersen stopped an amazing 45 shots as the Leafs beat the Panthers 3-2. The Swedish netminder has won his last three starts by allowing only three goals and earning a shutout in the process. Don't think twice today and start Andersen in all formats.     Also Consider: Braden Holtby     CENTERS Auston Matthews FD - $7300 DK - $7500 Opponent - DET Proj Pts FD - 18.85 DK - 5.71 I wouldn't fade this guy if it was a full slate right now, so this is a no-brainer today. The rookie phenom has a five-game point streak going as he has four goals and three assists and 23 shots on goal during those games. That is very impressive for a rookie and today he gets to fire pucks at whoever the Wings put in net today and the Wings own the 21st ranked defense in the league. I won't waste any more time here. GOALIES Matthew Murray FD - $9300 DK - $8400 Opponent - CAR Proj Pts FD - 18.53 DK - 4.63 Today's slate is slightly difficult from a goalie perspective because we have Carey Price playing on the road in Tampa Bay where the Habs notoriously struggle from year to year, and they are much better at home. A large majority of the rest are simply just bad, they have bad matchups, and/or their teams aren't very good. But have no fear my friends, Pittsburgh is playing tonight and with Fleury getting the nod in Jersey last night, it looks like the young star Matthew Murray will get the start tonight. The Pens beat the Devils 5-2 last night and their league-best offense is on fire. Obviously, Goal support shouldn't be a problem today, and although Carolina isn't a terrible team anymore, their offense still isn't good as they rank 18th in the NHL in that category. Okay enough carrying on. Murray has been sensational this season with a 13-4 record, 2 shutouts, and a .928 save %. Yes I know he gave up six goals in his last game but guess what? Columbus is scoring a million goals on everyone lately, so we can easily ignore that game, and Murray is by far my favorite play in cash games today, and I think we can roll him out in a few tourney lineups as well. If for some reason, the Pens start old man Fleury today, then start him with confidence as well.  ...

GOALIES Cam Ward FD - $8200 DK - $7500 Opponent - DET Proj Pts FD - 14.68 DK - 3.67 This is a very difficult day when trying to chose a cash game goalie, so we have to dig a little deeper to find the best option. Actually today looks like it has GPP only written all over it, but if you're like me and insist on trying to play cash games no matter what, then we may have hope. I'll do my best in explaining why I like Cam Ward and the Hurricanes at home against the Red Wings. First of all Detroit's offense is punchless, and Carolina is four whole points higher in their corsi % then Detroit, which means that the puck should be in Detroit's end a lot more often then in Carolina's end tonight. Also the Red Wings are 4th worst in the league in goals scored with 2.31 per game, they own the worst power-play in the entire league, and the 'Canes are #1 in the league at killing penalties. Ward has been up and down all season, but he is coming off of a good game against Buffalo by allowing only one goal in a shootout victory on home ice. Carolina is currently listed as -142  home favorites according to Vegas, so the chances of a victory for them is half decent. The Red Wings are also third worst in the NHL in the shots for category by firing only 27.7 pucks on net per game. This limit's Ward's upside, but if you're looking for the safest goalie today, then Ward is your man. It's not a safe...
