He had issues with stopping the puck in the past, but he fixed those issues a few years ago and now he's a tough fade every time he protects the crease. Dubnyk's record this year is 31-13 with five shutouts and he has a .934 save % which is awesome. He lost his last start, but only because Anaheim's goalie stood on his head as the Ducks beat the Wild 1-0. Before that the Wild netminder won four starts in a row. Tonight he faces the Predators who are ranked 13th on offense which is right around the league average. Do not worry, though, because on home ice, Dubnyk is as close to matchup proof as it comes. He has won a Stanley Cup, so he has earned himself a place in the NHL until he decides to quit and it doesn't matter, because he has held the cup. This is all about the team that he is facing tonight. I'm sorry Avalanche fans, but your team could lose to a few AHL teams right now (knock on wood, because now that I have said this, Colorado may score a few goals tonight.) Anyways, back to reality. The Av's are playing their third game in four nights and they got shut out by the Buffalo Sabres last evening. Ouch!! Ward and the Hurricanes haven't played since February 11th where they gave up five goals in Dallas. Before that, Ward won three starts in a row while giving up six goals in those three games. Not too shabby. The Avalanche own the league's worst offense and the Hurricanes are currently listed as -235 favorites according to Las Vegas. Ward is the only cash game play that we should consider today and as for GPP's, I feel that a lot of people will flock to Gibson because of his un-human like performance against the Wild, so Ward shouldn't be too popular this evening. Dubnyk is in the running for the Vezina trophy and so far this season, he has a 30-9-3 record with a .934 save % and five shutouts. He has also won his last three games and 11 of his last 13. Detroit is not a good offensive team as they are ranked 26th overall in overall offense and dead last while having the man advantage. Dubnyk is a great play in cash games if you're playing the all day slate over at Fanduel and a great play in all formats in the early only slate on both sites.     Robin Lehner FD - $7900 DK - $7800 Opponent - VAN Proj Pts FD - 16.75 DK - 4.19 This choice is more about the team Buffalo is facing and not the actual goalie who will be between the pipes. The Sabres have been playing some decent hockey lately and they will be exciting to watch for years to come. Lehner allowed only one goal on a whopping 44 shots in a victory vs. the Maple Leafs last night. The Canucks are ranked 28th on offense and 26th on the penalty kill. Last time out, he stopped 31 out of 32 shots in Columbus en-route to a 5-1 victory for the Devils. New Jersey scored five goals in one game? Oh my goodness! The Sabres are actually a much better offensive team on the road, as they rank 15th in the league in goals scored. Schneider is still a good goalie, he just plays on a below average team. The Rangers welcome the Calgary Flames and their below average 19th ranked offense to town today and New York is currently listed as -150 favorites according to Vegas. Lundqvist hasn't had the best year so far by his standards, but he stood on his head last game in Buffalo as he turned aside 36 of 37 shots for the victory. He also should have plenty of support today, as the Rangers are ranked #2 on offense.
