I did my very best to try and find you the best option for cash games and I'll explain why I like Gibson today. First of all, the Leafs are on their dreaded west-coast road trip, which is from one extreme side of the continent to the other side of our massive continent. That affects the players in many ways and the Leafs lost 3-2 to the Sharks two nights ago and now they have to play in Anaheim. Gibson only allowed one goal in a victory in Tampa Bay last game to move his record to 5-4 and he has a save percentage of .921. Let's call Gibson the best of the worst today for your cash game lineups. Pekka Rinne FD - $8500 DK - $7800 Opponent - SJ Proj Pts FD - 14.36 DK - 3.59 This slate has a GPP feel to it and the Finnish superstar tender has been lights out lately. He has allowed two goals or fewer in his last six games and he has a record of 5-1-2 so far this season to go along with a .940 save percentage and a GAA of 1.86 which are both amazing numbers. The Sharks are ranked 23rd on offense, but since this is a road game for the Predators, the Sharks are currently listed as -140 favorites. I personally think that Rinne stands on his head (maybe not literally) and the Predators sneak out...

Well, it's a tiny slate and I'm actually rather comfortable rostering this wily veteran today. His opponent, the Arizona Coyotes are ranked 26th in the league with 2.50 goals scored per game and they have an awful record of 1-10-1. They actually earned their first victory last night in overtime, but to expect back-to-back road victories on consecutive nights is probably not a good idea. Howard had a fantastic outing last time out as he stopped 44 of 46 shots in a victory against the Panthers and he has only given up more than three goals in one out of nine starts. The Red Wings are listed as -185 favorites today and Howard is easily my top goalie play in every single format. CENTERS Mika Zibanejad FD - $7200 DK - $6700 Opponent - VEG Proj Pts FD - 13.97 DK - 4.12 This young man is easily the Rangers' best center and he skates on the #1 line and the #1 PP unit. He has two goals, two assists and 10 shots on goal in his last three games and tonight it looks like Vegas will have their emergency fourth-string goalie between the pipes. Bobrovsky looks matchup-proof right now and he's money on home ice which makes him an elite play in all formats. Jaroslav Halak FD - $7700 DK - $7200 Opponent - VEG Proj Pts FD - 18.43 DK - 4.61 After a shaky start to the season, the Slovakian net-minder has earned a victory in each of his last three starts. Although he did allow eight goals in those three starts, he faced a whopping 106 shots. The NHL's newest franchise, the Vegas Golden-Knights travel to New York tonight and they've been tearing up the league in their first year, which means that Halak is not a "safe" play, but he offers huge upside for GPP formats as the Islanders allow a whopping 33.5 shots per game. The veteran netminder has been absolute money on home-ice this season and he is an elite play in every single format this evening. Vegas is down to their third-string goalie who I watched play the other night and he looked decent, but starting your first ever NHL game is an entirely different thing. I feel that this puts a lot less pressure on Crawford since his team should be able to score a few goals today. He is having a great start to the year as he has a 1.86 GAA and a .945 save % through seven games but because of the fact that the Hawks are on the road, I do not like targeting Crawford in cash game formats, but I believe that he is a solid GPP play this evening.
