Pts - 31.17 DK Proj. Pts - 32.56 Chalmers is a solid play should Mike Conley not be able to suit up against the Houston Rockets. The Rockets are in the bottom 3rd in defensive efficiency but have actually held point guards to among lowest fantasy point totals in the league. Chalmers should see Patrick Beverley most of his night and has been more than worth it at these prices. Brandon Knight - FD 6800 DK 7300 Opponent - IND FD Proj. Pts - 35.11 DK Proj. Pts - 37.36 Knight has been the subject of trade rumors, which is one of the burdens of being a good player. The former Kentucky product has put up 21.6 points and 6.2 rebounds a game this season. His solid overall game should provide a tough challenge to Indiana and George Hill specifically. He's one of the few Suns with consistent minutes at this point even though Hornacek has said he might work to find more consistent rotations. Russell Westbrook - FD 10900 DK 10700 Opponent - MIN FD Proj. Pts - 49.41 DK Proj. Pts - 51.19 Westbrook who is not the only MVP candidate in his locker room has continued to dominate night in and night out. He is currently 2nd overall in player efficiency, trailing only Stephen Curry. Ricky Rubio will be the next contestant to try to slow down Westbrook. Do not expect him to be successful. The Timberwolves are among the worst in defending point guards in fantasy scoring. SHOOTING GUARD Devin Booker - FD 3900 DK 4900 Opponent - IND FD Proj. Pts - 19.66 DK Proj. Pts - 22.38 Booker has come on during his rookie campaign. Over the course of the season, he has averaged just over 7 points and 18 minutes a game, but over the last 5 games...

Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings and DraftPot – 1/5/16

Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings and DraftPot - 1/5/16 Welcome to the Tuesday slate of NBA games. It’s a light night in the Association but you can still have success with your fantasy contests. Take a look at our picks for tonight. If you want to grab a free trial of the winning projections that inform each and every one of these picks, check out our lineup builder and Google Chrome extension that auto-populates your lineups into FanDuel and DraftKings. Pts - 38.12 DK Proj. Pts - 38.83 When Rondo isn’t scoring, he’s getting his teammates involved. In Sacramento’s 142-119 victory over the Phoenix Suns on Sunday Rondo not only scored 15 points but tallied 15 assists. And last night against OKC? Yowza. This kind of production makes him a good play on a nightly basis. The Mavs are a good defensive team but Rondo has extra motivation after Mavs coach Rick Carlisle benched him at the end of last year’s playoffs. (Our system doesn't factor that in, but the narrative works along with the metrics). Update: Rondo is looking doubtful tonight which would make Darren Collison a near must play. Jeff Teague - FD 6400 DK 6500 Opponent - NYK FD Proj. Pts - 31.63 DK Proj. Pts - 32.77 Teague is normally a strong option at point guard. The speedy Wake Forest product drops around 32 fantasy points a night. The Knicks held him to just 9 points in his last game, the first of a back-to-back. The Knicks are among the league’s best in fantasy points against point guards but Teague will likely score more when he faces the Knicks again. He will contend with Jose Calderon.   SHOOTING GUARD Klay Thompson - FD 7600 DK 7900 Opponent - LAL FD Proj. Pts - 33.63 DK Proj. Pts - 37.38 Even with Steph back in the lineup, Thompson is in play here. Thompson dropped 38 on the Rockets last week and will look to match or exceed that against the lackluster Laker defense. Thompson will likely see Kobe Bryant and Jordan Clarkson which means he could be in for another big night. One caveat is that the Warriors could get up big on the Lakers, which could mean limited minutes for Thompson. Jimmy Butler -...

Pts - 48.15 DK Proj. Pts - 49.78 Westbrook continues to put up MVP numbers and finally has his running mate, Kevin Durant, back. Stephen Curry gets a lot of attention, but Westbrook has been off the charts good this year. He is averaging 25.5 points a game while dishing out 9 assists. There are fewer tougher matchups than Westbrook right now. The next lucky contestant to try to stop Russell will be Michael Carter-Williams who could give Westbrook some problems with his 6’6” frame. Westbrook should still put up numbers and at these prices is offering solid value on this slate. Jameer Nelson - FD 4700 DK 5600 Opponent - CLE FD Proj. Pts - 22.55 DK Proj. Pts - 24.95 Nelson has filled in admirably for Emmanuel Mudiay. Over the last 10 games Nelson has been solid, posting 11 points, 4 rebounds and nearly 6 assists a game. The former Saint Joseph's All-American should be a good play as the number 1 point guard in Denver. Nelson will likely play Matthew Dellavadova who is a solid defender but not a shutdown player. Nelson will likely not have to deal with Kyrie Irving. Expect Jameer Nelson to be productive. Reggie Jackson - FD 7500 DK 7300 Opponent - NYK FD Proj. Pts - 34.09 DK Proj. Pts - 35.35 Jackson has a had a breakout season at point guard thus far this year. He is putting up 20.2 points a game as well as dishing out 6 assists. Jackson’s success should continue against the New York Knicks. The Knicks are average against opposing point guards this season with Jose Calderon near at the bottom of efficiency rankings among opposing point guards in defensive efficiency. SHOOTING GUARD Will Barton - FD 6800 DK 6900 Opponent - CLE FD Proj. Pts - 32.39 DK Proj. Pts - 33.67 Barton’s stock continues to rise in line with his performance. His scoring averages have actually gone up as the season has continued, averaging nearly 20...

Pts - 28.9 DK Proj. Pts - 30.44 Memphis’ Mike Conley should have success against the Philadelphia 76ers. The Sixers have been dreadful this season, and the stats don’t lie in that regard. Currently, Philly’s performance against point guards is trending downward. Kendall Marshall and TJ McConnell split time at the point guard spot for Philadelphia which doesn't bode well for their dfensive chances. Conley has had a nice stretch of late, scoring 20 points in each of his last 2 games, and averaged 28.9 points in Fanduel and 30.44 in DraftKings. Expect him to continue his good play against the hapless Sixers. Jameer Nelson - FD 4600 DK 5400 Opponent - LAL FD Proj. Pts - 22.4 DK Proj. Pts - 24.89 Nelson is still filling in for Mudiay and getting all the minutes he'd ever nedd. The Lakers haven’t played well against anyone and that includes point guards. They are currently the worst in the league in giving up fantasy points to point guards. Nelson who had a solid 15 point performance in 37 minutes against New Orleans, could take advantage against the Lakers. Nelson has scored in double figures in each of the last 5 games. Louis Williams will likely see the most action against Nelson. Goran Dragic - FD 5800 DK 5500 Opponent - DET FD Proj. Pts - 26.16 DK Proj. Pts - 27.56 Dragic could have a tough matchup against Reggie Jackson, who is the 4th ranked point guard in the league efficiency-wise. Dragic is averaging 11.3 points which is slightly lower than his career average of 12.6. The dropoff is really noticeable concerning 3-pointers. The Yugoslav is a career .357 3-point shooter but this year is only shooting .277 from behind the arc. Dragic could have a tough time reaching his Fanduel average...
