Point Guard De'Aaron Fox FD - $9300 DK - $9300 Opponent - DET Proj Pts FD - 47.73 DK - 48.36 Until we get a few pieces of key news, point guard is looking fairly grim tonight. Fox himself is not exactly an exciting play. It's basically a league average match-up wth Detroit, and he's not cheap for his production. It's basically just a war of attrition at the top end of the position. Several of the best guys have terrible match-ups, Luka is on the second half of a back to back in a bad match-up, and other guys are over-priced. So, fairly priced in a decent match-up winds up creeping to the top. Théo Maledon FD - $5400 DK - $5300 Opponent - CLE Proj Pts FD - 27.42 DK - 28.59 Tomas Satoransky FD - $5700 DK - $5200 Opponent - TOR Proj Pts FD - 28.58 DK - 29.18 I almost included Malachi Flynn in this group as well, but I basically feel the same way about all of these middling-tier point guards. I'm not going to be thrilled to see any of them show up in lineups, but I wouldn't scrap my lineup and start over if any of them showed up in our line-up optimizer. Satoransky has Coby White nipping at his heels, and Flynn can lose minutes off the bench. That's why I'd actually prioritize Maledon here. His minutes have been all over the place thanks to OKC characteristically being involved in several blowouts, but when the Thunder keep things close he plays 35+ minutes with 30+ FanDuel points of production. Given that Cleveland is favored by just two here, I think Maledon will be a nice boost to his fantasy owners. Keep an eye on Mike Conley's status. As of this writing, there is no word that he'll sit, but given that he sat the last time the Jazz played a back to back there's reason to believe he'll sit here as well. If he does, consider Jordan Clarkson. Clarkson had 9 assists in just 20 minutes off the bench in the Jazz's blowout of Orlando, and could be in line for a...

Point Guard Jordan McLaughlin FD - $4600 DK - $4400 Opponent - SAC Proj Pts FD - 29.71 DK - 29.03 With D'Angelo Russell and Ricky Rubio considered doubtful for tonight's game, the Wolves should turn the point guard duties back over to Jordan McLaughlin. The Timberwolves' third-string point guard put in 42 minutes of duty in their Saturday loss to Philly, and supplied 39.7 FanDuel points in the process. It's a far better match-up here with the Kings, and McLaughlin is just a price and opportunity mismatch at these price points. Discussing the rest: After McLaughlin, you'll need some context to plan for tonight. Mike Conley is labeled as questionable, and if he winds up sitting Jordan Clarkson becomes a clear value option. All signs point to his sitting on Saturday being due to being on a back-to-back, but if he does sit, you should be ready. If you find a lot of value options thanks to the number of questionable players tonight, Luka is playable even in a tough match-up with the Jazz. Luka becomes a better option if Josh Richardson Kristaps Porzingis wind up missing this one. If none of that value comes to fruition, De'Aaron Fox could see big ownership against the Timberwovles, and Derrick White is playable as well. Shooting Guard Anthony Edwards FD - $7400 DK - $7600 Opponent - SAC Proj Pts FD - 38.22 DK - 39.85 Edwards is playing otherworldly minutes with the Wolves' entire frontcourt looking doubtful, and like McLaughlin, he will see huge cash game ownership. He's very scoring dependent, but if he's in line for 40 minutes in a close game, it shouldn't matter in a great match-up with the Kings. Tyrese Haliburton FD - $5800 DK - $6500 Opponent - MIN Proj Pts FD - 32.45 DK - 32.96 Halliburton has averaged almost exactly 5x points per dollar in his last four contests and should do even better against a Minnesota team that plays the sixth-fastest PACE with the fourth-worst defensive efficiency. The Timberwolves are so shallow in the back-court that a hustler like Halliburton is in a great position to use his hustle to chip in extra...

Pitchers Jacob deGrom FD - P 11000 DK - SP 10700 Opponent - PHI (Matt Moore) Park - PHI FD - 42.1 DK - 24.17 With the Mets' opening day postponed (thanks, Covid), their perennially Cy Young candidate gets to make his opening debut against the rival Philadelphia Phillies on Monday. There is a particularly interesting dynamic at play here concerning the match-up. While the rest of the league is pairing similar starters against one another, deGrom will go up against Matt Moore. Yes, that Matt Moore. The one who hasn't pitched in the Majors since 2019, and hasn't cleared a sub 5 xFIP since 2016. As a result, deGrom is a huge favorite here, and since he's the only thing remotely resembling an ace on this slate, you can sign him up for the highest overall cash game ownership by a mile. Dustin May FD - P 6800 DK - SP 8800 Opponent - OAK (Frankie Montas) Park - OAK FD - 39.18 DK - 20.76 Justus Sheffield FD - P 7200 DK - SP 7500 Opponent - CHW (Carlos Rodón) Park - SEA FD - 29.62 DK - 14.76 After deGrom, it's a big run of fourth starters. Generally, fourth starters are pretty damned bad, and today's crop is no exception. It basically comes down to these two and Frankie Montas, who is probably unplayable on account of going up against the ridiculous Dodgers offense. So where do we lean between May and Sheffield? They are actually fairly similar. Neither has established big-time strikeout stuff at the Major League level, instead relying upon an ability to generate groundballs to support their endeavors. If I have to pick one, I'm going with May. The A's have scored 7 (!) runs in their first three games, and the Dodgers prolific offense means he is more likely than Sheffield to get the win. Still, Sheffield is a pitcher to keep an eye on going forward. Catcher/First Base Pete Alonso FD - 1B 3700 DK - 1B 4800 Opponent - PHI (Matt Moore) Park - PHI FD - 11.21 DK - 8.33 We'll be stacking against Moore as well as we can today, so why not starting with the Mets' mashing first baseman? Alonso has a career .872 OPS against southpaws, and honestly, it looks for all the world like he's running bad against them. He has just a .250 BABIP in his...

This is going to be a slightly different article than usual, because this is a very different slate than we've become accustomed to. Saturday featured perhaps the craziest night of injuries in DFS history, with an unprecedented number of late injuries to players of all calibers. As such, many of these players are questionable tonight, and any attempt to write a regular picks article is likely to be worthless by the time lineups finally lock. Instead, we're going to take a look at the key information you need to keep an eye out for tonight, and how you should be prepared to proceed if certain news comes out. Washington vs. Indiana There are a handful of under-priced Pacers that you can play if incredible value doesn't open up elsewhere. We've got a close eye on Caris LeVert and Malcolm Brogdon in particular. The Wizards pair a bottom-five defense with the league's fastest PACE, and It will be tough to go wrong running Pacers out there almost no matter what happens elsewhere. On the Washington side, you'll need to keep an eye on Bradley Beal's status. He left Saturday's game early, and Garrison Mathews saw 31 minutes as a result. I'm not super bullish on Mathews necessarily, but Russell Westbrook would be in line for huge usage if Beal were to miss this one. New Orleans vs. Boston The main news to keep an eye on here concerns the point guards of both teams. Both Kemba Walker and Lonzo Ball are currently listed as questionable, but they are in very different situations. It's believed that Walker missed Saturday's game due to rest, and it's likely he'll play here. It's a nice match-up with the Pelicans, but no Celtics are really jumping off the page here. There's also the possibility of Evan Fournier making his debut, which would further complicate things. Ball, on the other hand, pulled himself from Thursday's practice and wound up missing his last game, and I'd guess he's closer to a 30% chance to play here. If he winds up sitting, that gives Nickeil Alexander-Walker a bunch of extra...

Point Guard Derrick White FD - $5200 DK - $5800 Opponent - CHA Proj Pts FD - 33.67 DK - 33.59 Dejounte Murray FD - $7700 DK - $7400 Opponent - CHA Proj Pts FD - 39.49 DK - 39.66 We'll start with the Spurs' backcourt duo, who both appear to be under-priced against a Charlotte team that's been a top ten match-up for opposing guards this season. White is a great value here. He's priced like the guy who was playing 25 minutes upon his return, not the guy who has settled back into 33+ minute rotations since. Murray isn't quite as good a pure value play, but we still like him plenty here considering the fact that he's played 36 and 39 minutes in his last two games. You can do a lot worse than running both Spurs out there tonight. Malcolm Brogdon FD - $6900 DK - $7200 Opponent - MIL Proj Pts FD - 40.57 DK - 42.07 These prices on Brogdon are embarrassing. An embarrassment! He's averaged better than 5x these prices on the season, and his 36+ minute rotations mean the floor is excellent on sub $7k prices. The Bucks have a tough defense, but they also play the fourth-fastest pace in the league, leaving a lot of possessions for the Pacers' primary ball-handler to get his. Shooting Guard Caris Levert FD - $5600 DK - $6400 Opponent - MIL Proj Pts FD - 40.16 DK - 41.17 LeVert hasn't lit the world on fire the way you'd think given the minutes he's been playing, but on these prices, I'm honestly not sure it matters. While the final line against the Heat might not excite you, it probably should. LeVert got 18 shots in the air (after getting up 16 two games prior), and he is obviously a fixture in the Indiana office right now. The shots will start falling eventually, and we should see LeVert's price march back up to his Brooklyn levels (mid 7s at least) in short order. Marcus Smart FD - $5000 DK - $5600 Opponent - MEM Proj Pts FD - 30.41 DK - 29.83 Smart is back to 32+...
