The strikeouts have gone down a tic this year, but his incredible command (.57 BB/9!) has more than made up the difference in terms of his overall effectiveness. The Cubs are not a conventionally fantastic match-up, with a lot of household names in their lineup. They have been about league average in terms of wOBA this season, but importantly, their 27% K rate is the third-highest in the Majors. Buehler and the Dodgers are almost -200 favorites, as well. On a day without many headliners, Buehler should see significant cash game ownership. Kenta Maeda FD - P 6900 DK - SP 7800 Opponent - TEX (Dane Dunning) Park - MIN FD - 39.19 DK - 21.08 Maeda has, quite simply, been really bad his year. Basically every available metric paints the picture of an aging pitcher declining. So why would we consider him for cash games? There are a couple of reasons. First of all, while Maeda has declined, he hasn't turned into a true-talent 6.56 ERA guy overnight. He might not be the Cy Young candidate he was last year, but even in this diminished state he's probably league average. With career high BABIP allowed and HR/FB rate, he's due for some positive regression soon. Then there's the match-up. The Rangers have struck out at the 2nd highest rate in the Majors while posting a below-league-average .303 wOBA. It's not without risk, but at these prices we can afford a little risk in our lives. Also considered: Frankie Montas. Catcher/First Base J.T. Realmuto FD - C 3300 DK - C 5300 Opponent - MIL (Adrian Houser) Park - PHI FD - 10.9 DK - 8.25 I'll often write up a catcher with a caveat like, "If you have to play a catcher, think about this guy." In the case of Realmuto, this is an unqualified recommendation, at least on FanDuel. Realmuto is an on-base machine with more power than you think, and he's going up against a pitcher in Adrian Houser who gives opposing batters a lot of chance to get on base with his low K rate and relatively high walk...

Point Guard Stephen Curry FD - $9600 DK - $10300 Opponent - MIN Proj Pts FD - 55.1 DK - 58.72 Steph's MVP campaign took a hit in a blowout loss to the Mavs, but he should be back with guns blazing in a great spot against the Timberwolves. This game has the highest total on the slate, and the Wolves really don't bring a single guy to even attempt to cover Curry. Minnesota has allowed the 6th most fantasy points to opposing point guards this season, and we should prepare ourselves for a monster performance here. Kyle Lowry FD - $6400 DK - $7100 Opponent - DEN Proj Pts FD - 36.4 DK - 38.16 This one is a straight-up old-fashioned value play. Lowry is priced like he's going to play 29 minutes a game, but the 37 minutes he played last game tips the Raptors' hand: Lowry is back for his full run. He's averaged almost 6x points per dollar on these prices for the season, making him in play against all but the very best opposing defenses. The Nuggets are solid, but are thin enough in the backcourt that Lowry should have plenty of room to operate. Also considered: Malcolm Brogdon. Shooting Guard Andrew Wiggins FD - $6700 DK - $7000 Opponent - MIN Proj Pts FD - 37.2 DK - 37.49 Revenge game? Yes, but that's not why we're actually pushing Wiggins here. The reality is that he's been rolling out 5x points per dollar performances game in, game out, and has a terrific match-up against his hapless former team. The Timberwolves have allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing shooting guards this season, and if the Wolves manage to keep it close Wiggins should have a great game here. Landry Shamet FD - $4100 DK - $4100 Opponent - IND Proj Pts FD - 22.44 DK - 23.79 With Brown already ruled out of Thursday's game, Shamet should be in line for the 32-36 minute rotation we've become accustomed to in close games. He's not immune to the occasional stinker, but he's also got 8x+ upside, as he demonstrated against the Heat two weeks ago. Yes,...

Point Guard Russell Westbrook FD - $11200 DK - $10900 Opponent - SA Proj Pts FD - 52.78 DK - 56.48 Westbrook has made an appearance in cash game lineups on a day-in-day-out basis for weeks now. He's nearly back to MVP Russ levels, hitting at least 49 FanDuel points in every game since April 1st. The Spurs have been a top ten match-up for opposing point guards all season, and I'm looking to Russ as a great pay-up option if we get as much value as we usually do on huge slates like this. Derrick White FD - $5800 DK - $6900 Opponent - WAS Proj Pts FD - 37.37 DK - 37.89 White is embarrassingly cheap on FanDuel for what he's been up to recently. He's been in a lot of weird games recently, which has caused his minutes to be all over the place. We saw Pop's plan for him in close games against the Pels, when White played 37 minutes and scored 39 FanDuel points. His time on ball is increasing as well, which has led to more assists and more points recently. It's a dream match-up with the indifferent Wizards, who have allowed the 5th most fantasy points per game to opposing point guards this season. I love White in any format. Keep an eye on Delon Wright. I'm writing this before the Kings' Sunday night game, but there's a good chance he fills in for Fox and is way too cheap for his current opportunity. Shooting Guard Tyrese Haliburton FD - $6100 DK - $6800 Opponent - DAL Proj Pts FD - 33.33 DK - 34.2 With Fox out for at least 10 days in the Covid-19 protocol, much of the heavy lifting on offense should fall to Halliburton. This guy was floating around cash game lineups even with Fox handy, so spreading his usage among them is a dream come true for DFS purposes. Dallas plays a slow pace, but their bottom 10 defensive efficiency should allow for plenty of good opportunities for Tyrese to get his. I'm a buyer until the prices move to fairer levels. Fred VanVleet FD - $7300 DK -...

START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW!   Pitchers Corbin Burnes FD - P 11100 DK - RP 10400 Opponent - MIA (Trevor Rogers) Park - MILFD - 41.03 DK - 22.21 I hate to be over the top with this, but Burnes is sort of redefining "ace" to start this season. In 24.1 innings he has 40 strikeouts against 0 walks and has allowed a single earned run. This is a terrific match-up as well, with Miami ranking in the bottom 4 in wOBA and the top 10 in strikeout rate so far this season. Burnes is expensive, but expensive for a reason, and as the only thing resembling an ace on this slate you can expect to see huge ownership in cash games. Charlie Morton FD - P 8600 DK - SP 8000 Opponent - CHC (Zach Davies) Park - ATLFD - 35.5 DK - 19.04 Some say Morton has lost a step or two, but he's still out there dealing. With 6 IP and 6+ Ks in each of his last two starts, he's bringing reliability that can be tough to find this early in the season (particularly on small slates like this). The Cubs can hit, but they also strike out a lot, ranking fourth in strikeout rate so far this season. The Braves are among the biggest favorites on the slate, and if Morton can keep the ball in the park, he could be a great cash game option. Also considered: Zack Wheeler. For big tournaments Trevor Rogers is a great play against Milwaukee. It's not great to go up against Burnes, but Milwaukee's lineup is even worse than Miami's, and Rogers has plenty of strikeout stuff for big tourneys. Catcher/First Base Freddie Freeman FD - 1B 3900 DK - 1B 6000 Opponent - CHC (Zach Davies) Park - ATLFD - 13.84 DK - 10.36 Freeman is an incredible buy-low opportunity right now. He's got an .800+ OPS in spite of a .170 BABIP. He's walking 19% of the time against a 10% BB rate, and he's under $4,000. Things are turning in very short order for Freeman. As for the match-up, prepare yourself to see a few Braves in today's article. Things have gone pear-shaped for Davies early in the 2021 season. He's walking an astounding 6.46 batters per nine innings, while striking out fewer than 6 per nine. Last year's ERA looks like a total fluke, and the Braves should eat...

Be sure to read our free NBA and NFL Ebooks on building lineups, general strategy and more. We've got you completely covered. Before we get started, I'm not going to write up anyone from the Celtics-76ers game because there is no clarity about who will play, and who will sit. You'll have to pay attention to updates about that game as it approaches, because if the Sixers flip-flop who is playing on the 2nd half of a back to back some value could open up here. The Celtics are totally up in the air, with both Jaylen and Tatum listed as game time decisions. Stay tuned. Point Guard Terry Rozier FD - $7800 DK - $8400 Opponent - CHI Proj Pts FD - 39.32 DK - 40.83 It's a tough slate from top to bottom, but Rozier is a shining star. He's averaged 54.8 FanDuel points over his last four games, doing his best baby-Westbrook impersonation en route to flirting with a triple-double every game. He's got a nice match-up against a Chicago team that's allowed the 12th most fantasy points to opposing point guards, and in a game with little blowout risk Rozier is a picture-perfect cash game play. Coby White FD - $5800 DK - $5500 Opponent - CHA Proj Pts FD - 28.28 DK - 29.82 I considered a number of guys for this slot, but ultimately landed on White. As a member of the Bulls' starting line-up he's playing 32-33 minute rotations, and Vegas putting this as a 3 point game means he's likely to get his full run. He's handling the ball a ton right now, as evidenced by the 10+ shots and 7+ assists he's logged in each of his last three games. He's under-priced to his current role, and a nice option in all formats. Also considered: Both Spurs - Murray and White. Shooting Guard DeMar DeRozan FD - $7900 DK - $8500 Opponent - DET Proj Pts FD - 39.27 DK - 39.57 A fairly priced player in basically a league average match-up? That's a dream come true on this slate. DeRozan is playing strict 37 minute rotations right now, and what's more, he's running the offense a lot more than you might think on a team with Dejounte Murray and Derrick White on the...
