Daily Fantasy Football Cash Game Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings Week 3 - 9/22/19 Two weeks are in the books and now we head into Week 3 with some uncertainty around injuries for a bunch of different teams. But there's still plenty of cash game value out there and we've got you covered for FanDuel and DraftKings. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NFL and MLB optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Quarterbacks We live in weird and wacky times. Injuries have hit the quarterback position unusually hard to start the season with 19% of teams’ projected opening week starters on the shelf, out for the season or simply retired. That’s leaving us with a fair amount of backups taking the starting nod and us left to wade through the leftovers. One more quick note: Clearly, Lamar Jackson and Patrick Mahomes are the upper tier of cash game projected plays. That’s not necessarily news. But in the vein of being intellectually honest and realistic, it’s not feasible to pay up for either of them AND go expensive at running back. Things change over the course of the week, and if a punt option or two emerges at another position then let’s bite the bullet and spend all the way up. For the time being, I’m going to recommend some cost-effective arms. Cool? Cool. Kyler Murray FD 7200 DK 5800 Opponent CAR Proj Points FD - 19.57 DK - 20.8 From an efficiency perspective, Murray’s first two weeks in the NFL haven’t been anything to text home about. He’s completed only 57% of his passes. But man, the volume is more than making up for it. With an OT game in there Week 1, Murray has already attempted 94 passes through the first two weeks, leading to 657 total passing yards. He only has two TDs to speak of, but that does feel like some run bad considering the Cardinals were down and close a few times against the Ravens and settled for field goals. The Kliff Kingsbury offense is mostly what we expected from a pace standpoint with the Cards averaging the fifth-most offensive plays per game this season. Now Arizona will face a possibly-Cam Newton-less Panthers team that’s ranked fourth-fastest in pace against through the first two weeks. Murray is coming cheap enough on DraftKings to play in cash games and I do think there are still some gains to made on the ground for him. Jameis Winston FD 7300 DK 5400 Opponent NYG Proj Points FD - 19.12 DK - 19.56 Oh boy. See what...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Saturday 9/14/19 Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB and NFL optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Madison Bumgarner FD - P 9900 DK - SP 8900 Opponent - MIA (Robert Dugger) Park - SF FD - 39.33 DK - 21.38 It feels really good to start the Saturday main slate with a rock solid value play, and that's exactly what we're doing here. Bumgarner is an interesting pitcher to evaluate with advanced metrics, because he's outperformed his xFIP in each of his last 8 seasons. He's essentially better at limiting homeruns than he ought to be given his fly-ball rates, but we'll take it. In Bumgarner you're getting an extreme control pitcher who can strike out a guy per inning, which is more than enough on these prices. Throw in a great pitcher's park and a Marlins team that's ranked 2nd worst in the league in terms of wOBA against LHP and you have a cash game play made in Heaven. Zack Greinke FD - P 9700 DK - SP 9300 Opponent - KC (Mike Montgomery) Park - KC FD - 40.47 DK - 21.94 Another guy who perennially outperforms his peripherals, Greinke's ERA has been better than his xFIP in all but one of his seasons since 2012. His profile is similar to Bumgarner's, with fewer walks but fewer strikeouts as well. His match-up is arguably as good, with the Royals ranking 6th worst against RHP over the course of this season. He's also an astounding -340 favorite here, so the win luck should ever be in your favor. Greinke isn't going to light up the box score with upside at this stage in his career, but he should be a rock solid floor guy if you're looking for a pitcher two in cash games. Also considered: deGrom, even in a very tough match-up with the Dodgers. He just has much better upside than the above plays. Catcher/First Base Stephen Vogt FD - C 2800 DK - C 4000 Opponent - MIA (Robert Dugger) Park - SF FD - 9 DK - 6.89 If you must play a catcher today, Vogt is actually looking like a fine option. He's affordable, which you like to see, but he's also a legitimate threat for some real damage here. The 34 year old lefty is having a vintage year, ripping right handed pitching for an .863 OPS so far this year. Duggar is also an embarrassment to the game. He had a 6.05 xFIP in AAA, and built upon that resume...

Daily Fantasy Football Cash Game Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings Week 2 – 9/12/19

Daily Fantasy Football Cash Game Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings Week 2 - 9/12/19 Week 1 is in the books and now it's time to look ahead to Week 2. Take a look at some cash game plays for FanDuel and DraftKings. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NFL and MLB optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Quarterbacks Lamar Jackson FD 8200 DK 6700 Opponent ARI Proj Points FD - 21.68 DK - 20.91 Well, he went and did the damn thing didn’t he? Laying (somewhat) to rest his ability as a pure pocket passer, Jackson put up a Week 1 to be remembered, completing 17/20 passes for 324 yards and 5 touchdowns in three quarters against the Miami Dolphins. It was something of a statement game even if it was against a team actively trying to lose games this season. Moving forward it’s a little difficult to make heads or tails of what the Ravens ultimate plan is with Jackson. Last season he averaged 13 rushing attempts per game after taking over as starter. In Week 1, he carried the ball once. Did they not run because they didn’t have to? Or is the plan moving forward to strictly keep him in the pocket? For our purposes this may be something like having your cake and eating it too. The idea that he can do both at a moment’s notice means we could be looking at the highest-floor quarterback around. He’ll face an Arizona team that, predictably, allowed the second-most offensive plays (OT-aided) to their opponent. The price comes up for sure but it might not be enough if he’s just a complete weapon behind center. Oh, and did I mention the Ravens have the second-highest implied total (30) on the day? Patrick Mahomes FD 9000 DK 7500 Opponent OAK Proj Points FD - 22.08 DK - 23.71 Tyreek Hill played all of 12 snaps on Sunday and saw 2 targets. Patrick Mahomes still finished with 25/33 (75%), 374 yards passing and 3 TDs. I’m not saying the Chiefs are the same without their most feared skill position guy, but the KC offense did just keep chugging along without him. They’ll be without Hill for Week 2 and beyond, but Mahomes is still very much a top cash game option at these prices. The Chiefs come in with the highest implied total on the slate, he still has weapons in Watkins and Kelce, the running backs catch balls out of the backfield and Andy Reid’s scheme is designed to make things potent for the quarterback. Considering...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Saturday 9/7/19 Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB and NFL optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Justin Verlander FD - P 12300 DK - SP 12400 Opponent - SEA (Yusei Kikuchi) Park - HOU FD - 51.85 DK - 29.92 The clear top pitcher on the slate, and one of the best pitchers in all of baseball. Verlander is an astounding -380 favorite going into this tilt with Seattle, and it makes sense. He's nearly replicated last year's absurd peripherals, putting together 11.98 K/9 while allowing just 1.63 BB/9. He's gotten punished harder by the homerun this season, but then again, basically everyone has. He's officially an ace's ace no matter how you slice it. The match-up is excellent as well. The Mariners are a below average offense against right handed pitchers while striking out at the fifth highest rate. It'll be hard to make an argument for fading Verlander in cash games today. Chris Bassitt FD - P 8200 DK - SP 9800 Opponent - DET (Jordan Zimmermann) Park - OAK FD - 32.12 DK - 16.91 If you're looking for a solid pitcher two on DraftKings today, I'll be looking at Bassitt. The A's righty has managed his transition to a full time starter's role admirably, and while his ERA has outpaced his xFIP by more than a run he brings enough upside to the table to be a reasonable play in the right match-up. And the Tigers? They are most certainly that. They rolled out one of the most atrocious lineups in recent memory against the Royals, featuring studs like Dawel Lugo and Grayson Greiner. The heart of the order was Ronny Rodriguez, Christin Stewart, and Jeimer Candelario. This team is downright awful, and Bassitt is a -280 favorite as a result. It's quite simply tough to have a bad game against a lineup like the ones the Tigers have been trotting out there recently. Also considered: Joey Lucchesi, since he's facing the Rockies at home. Catcher/First Base Yasmani Grandal FD - C 3100 DK - C 4500 Opponent - CHC (Yu Darvish) Park - MIL FD - 11.1 DK - 8.29 We'll start off with a familiar name at catcher for this season in Yasmani Grandal. If you find yourself in the unfortunate circumstance of having to roster a "hitter" at this position, he's as good an option as you'll find on any given night. The price is right, and he's actually pretty good with the stick. He's now on back to back seasons with...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Saturday 8/31/19

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Saturday 8/31/19 Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB and NBA optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Stephen Strasburg FD - P 11200 DK - SP 11200 Opponent - MIA (Pablo Lopez) Park - WSH FD - 41.73 DK - 19.92 The clear number one today, and it's not particularly close. Not only is he the best pitcher on the slate, as we'll get to in a second, but he arguably has the best match-up as well. The thing he brings more than any other player on this slate is the strikeout upside, as his 10.58 K/9 is almost two better than Lucchesi and three better than Keuchel. Kershaw is a comparable pitcher, but he's just so expensive relative to his lower K rate that it isn't worth it. As for the Marlins, they have the second worst wOBA in the Majors against right handed pitching while striking out at the 6th highest rate. Fade Strasburg at your own peril. Joey Lucchesi FD - P 7800 DK - SP 9100 Opponent - SF (Logan Webb) Park - SF FD - 30.09 DK - 15.7 It's been an up and down ride for Lucchesi and his fantasy owners this season. He's going deeper into games than he was last year, but he's shed almost 1.5 K/9 off of his excellent age 25 season. Still, 8.61 K/9 and 3.00 BB/9 isn't an awful package at these prices, and when you start comparing him to the other options on the slate, it looks even better. The Giants are the fourth worst team in the league against left handed pitching this season, and it's only getting worse as they give more young players a shot. It's a fantastic match-up in a fantastic park, and that's enough that right now our system is picking out Lucchesi as an interesting option in all formats. Dallas Keuchel FD - P 8400 DK - SP 9600 Opponent - CHW (Reynaldo Lopez) Park - ATL FD - 29.04 DK - 14.67 Yep, tonight's pitcher two options come down to a couple of cheap left handers. Keuchel's much anticipated signing has actually paid off for the Braves so far, and while he's not at Cy Young levels, he's still pretty effective. His 60.7% ground ball rate would be the best in the Majors if he had thrown enough innings to qualify at the position, and he's added nearly a K per 9 by switching to the National League. He's also averaging slightly more than 6 innings per start, and his...
