FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Saturday 10/26/19   It's our first Saturday slate of the NBA season, and with a few games under our belt, things are starting to look a little more clear. Of course, we did win the first three main slates of the season on both FanDuel and DraftKings, so maybe more sanity isn't necessarily a good thing. Let's take a look! Head on over a for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our NFL Optimizer and NHL Projections as well. Plus our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Malcolm Brogdon FD - $6900 DK - $6500Opponent - CLEProj Pts FD - 36.6 DK - 37.25 Brogdon was Indiana's big off-season get, and there is a lot of pressure on his shoulders until Victor Oladipo returns. The concerns prior to the season seemed legitimate. Could he thrive without the benefit of Giannis' gravity drawing the defense elsewhere? It's all well and good to go 50/40/90 as mostly a bench guy, but what about when the spotlight shone brightest? Well, things looked pretty good for Brogdon in his first outing. He scored an efficient 22 points on 13 shots, and chipped in a somewhat surprising 11 assists as well. We don't want to get carried away about one game, but that's honestly not even what we're doing here. We're just seeing Brogdon translate last season's skills to a full time role in Indiana. I'm a buyer, and think the price has room to climb another 15%-20% here. Going up against a porous Cleveland defense doesn't hurt, either. The Cavs were dead last in defensive efficiency last season, and given that they did nothing to address their defensive difficulties, Brogdon should have his way once again. Kyle Lowry FD - $7600 DK - $7300Opponent - CHIProj Pts FD - 40.02 DK - 41.6 I'm still just buying as much Raptors stock as I can. Lowry didn't light the world on fire in the Raptors' opener, but it's painfully obvious that Nurse and company plan to address their relative lack of depth by leaning on the starting cast. Lowry played an astonishing (irresponsible)? 40 minutes in regulation in the opener, and while there may have been some emotion involved in that decision given that the Raptors were playing their first game since becoming world champions, I still think the plan is to run...

FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks – Thursday, 10/24/19

FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Thursday, 10/24/19 After a wild mega-Wednesday slate, we see a slight return to sanity with a three game primetime slate on Thursday. It's not without intrigue, though. The two front-runners for MVP in 2018 go head to head in Houston, Kawhi returns to Golden State to pour salt on their wounds, and... Atlanta and Detroit are playing as well? Sure, why not. Let's get to the picks!   Head on over a for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our NFL Optimizer and NHL Projections as well. Point Guard Stephen Curry FD - $10500 DK - $9400Opponent - LACProj Pts FD - 49.21 DK - 52.12 Much has been made about how the Warriors will look without Klay and Durant this season, but I think I have a pretty good idea. It involves Curry shooting the ball an absolute ton, and making an MVP run on the back of gaudy offensive numbers. You're seeing a slight uptick in price over last year's numbers, but the usage uptick should more than make up for it. When Durant, Klay, and Curry shared the court last season Curry's usage was 25.4%. When he sat? That number jumped to a staggering 41.5%. Now, it shouldn't sit that high this season with D'Angelo Russell's arrival and the simple unsustainable nature of such a pace, but one thing is clear: this man is shooting the rock. I love him in the Warriors' home opener. The rest: I'm not running Reggie Jackson with Derrick Rose in town. I'm not running Russell Westbrook until I see how the heck that Rockets offense is going to look. Trae Young costs $9,000 and averaged 36 fantasy points last year. So, yeah, I'm just going to play Hill and Curry in all likelihood.     Shooting Guard Khris Middleton FD - $7600 DK - $6900Opponent - HOUProj Pts FD - 38.06 DK - 39.45 With Brogdon gone and Bledsoe out of the picture, it's pretty much going to be the Giannis and Middleton show. Both of them averaged better than 34% usage with Bledsoe and Brogdon off the court last year, and that's how they're getting started with things this season. Of the two, Middleton is super cheap at a very tough position today. So, I am pretty sure he'll wind up making...

Daily Fantasy Football Cash Game Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings Week 7 – 10/20/19

Posted by on Oct 16, 2019 in featured, News, Weekly Fantasy Football Picks | 0 comments

Daily Fantasy Football Cash Game Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings Week 7 - 10/20/19 Welcome back for another week of NFL analysis! It was a tough week for DFSR, as we posted our first losing week of the season - breaking even on FanDuel and losing on DraftKings. But that's football, right? DFSR still marches on with an 8-3-1 record in cash game so far this season, and in spite of a number of fantasy-relevant teams being on byes, week 7 is shaping up to be a nice bounceback. Let's get started! Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NFL and MLB optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Quarterbacks Josh Allen FD 7700 DK 6500 Opponent MIA Proj Points FD - 22.76 DK - 23.55 Allen is coming off a bye following a Week 5 win over Tennessee. And with the extra rest he walks into a total dream matchup against the Miami Dolphins. The latter is easily the worst team in the league having been outscored by 138 points this season, almost twice as much as the next worst team. They are an unmitigated disaster and, among other bad things, are allowing the 3rd-most DraftKings scoring to opposing quarterbacks this season. They could easily be allowing the most, but teams are often beating their brains in by the fourth quarter and take their foot off the gas. That being said, it hasn’t all been gravy for Allen this season. Despite the Bills being 4-1, Allen’s completion percentage is still hovering in the low 60%’s and he’s thrown more interceptions (7) than touchdowns (5). This isn’t a trend likely to continue and it’s worth noting that four of those picks were against a very good New England defense. This should be a cake matchup and Allen’s to-date stats still have him coming a little cheaper than the top-tier arms. He also brings big-time running abilities, ranking fourth in QB rushing yards despite playing a whole game less than the group above him. Kyler Murray FD 7700 DK 6700 Opponent NYG Proj Points FD - 21.44 DK - 22.6 We talked at length about Kyler Murray last week as a cash play, specifically around the idea that it stood to reason his touchdown passes were likely to increase relative to a game-by-game average. That being said, we didn’t think it would all start to correct right away. He threw three TDs against the Falcons in a big game with 340 passing yards. He’s the seventh overall fantasy quarterback despite *still* having four fewer touchdowns than anyone higher than him...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Saturday 9/28/19

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Saturday 9/28/19 Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB and NFL optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Justin Verlander FD - P 11400 DK - SP 12800 Opponent - LAA (Jose Suarez) Park - LAA FD - 39.29 DK - 22.58 Where do you even begin with a guy like Verlander? He netted his 20th win of the season against this same Angels team last Sunday, and is now sitting on 288 Ks against 42 walks on the season. Those are Cy Young numbers. He wasn't spectacular against the Angels the last time around, but a pitcher of his caliber against an already bad team missing arguably the best player ever is a surefire cash game play. If there's a fly in the ointment here, it has to be the same as it is for every playoff-ready team - they could have every incentive to pull him early. The main slate is bad enough that maybe you try it, but you simply have to understand you're playing with fire no matter who you run out there tonight. Robbie Ray FD - P 9300 DK - SP 10600 Opponent - SD (Garrett Richards) Park - ARI FD - 35.75 DK - 19.18 If you're simply averse to running pitchers that are heading to the playoffs, what do you think about running Robbie Ray out there one more time for old time's sake? Ray got up to his old ones this season, striking out batters at an astounding rate of 12 per 9 innings, while also walking batters at an astounding rate of 4.33 per 9 innings. Still, that's a good enough package for DFS purposes, even if his long plate appearances keep him from going deep into too many games. It's a terrific match-up with the Dads, who has struck out at the fourth highest rate against lefties this season. It's the end of the season, right? Get some excitement in your life with Robbie Ray until we have to go into the playoffs and constantly smash good pitchers into good hitters, and vice versa. Mike Foltynewicz FD - P 8900 DK - SP 9700 Opponent - NYM (Steven Matz) Park - NYM FD - 27.7 DK - 14.33 Foltynewicz is coming off of his best start of the season, where he went eight shutout innings against the Giants his last go-round. The Braves are another playoff team, which is scary, but grabbing pitchers from playoff teams is sort of what you often need to do if you want to roster...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Saturday 9/21/19

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Saturday 4/6/19 Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB and NFL optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Hyun-Jin Ryu FD - P 7700 DK - SP 10400 Opponent - COL (Chi Chi Gonzalez) Park - LAD FD - 35.94 DK - 19.76 After a tough stretch for Ryu where people were asking if he was cooked for the season, he rallied back with a masterful 7 IP 6K 2H 0BB 0 ER performance against the Mets in his last start. Now we are grabbing him at prices that assume he is done. It's funny how the clustering of certain instances can color our opinion of a pitcher. While the 4 BB start against Colorado was legitimately bad, the other two "bad" starts were mostly Ryu getting BABIP'd to death and getting chased from the game as a result. This is also a fantastic match-up. Don't let the Rockies' season long stats vs. LHP fool you - they have been the second worst team in all the Majors against left handed pitching this season when on the road, and this should be a spot where Ryu can thrive. Jose Berrios FD - P 9400 DK - SP 10900 Opponent - KC (Glenn Sparkman) Park - MIN FD - 38.02 DK - 20.17 Pitching is just a little rough on the main slate today, but Berrios is still a plenty playable option here. He hasn't replicated last year's K numbers, but he's still going for more than 6 IP a start with almost a strikeout per inning. That's plenty of production on these prices, especially in a solid match-up with KC. The Royals have been the 5th worst team in terms of wOBA against righties this season, and that was before they filled the bottom of their lineup with underqualified minor leaguers. Berrios is also an astounding -310 favorite, making him an excellent option for any format here. Catcher/First Base Yasmani Grandal FD - C 3200 DK - C 4400 Opponent - PIT (James Marvel) Park - MIL FD - 12.56 DK - 9.37 "James," you might be wondering, "Who on Earth is James Marvel?" Truthfully, I had absolutely no idea before I started writing this article. What I learned was that he was a 26 year old non-prospect in the Pittsburgh farm system that was flexing a 5.04 xFIP in AAA this season before being called up and being much worse than that in his 9 Major League innings. All this to say, I like grabbing one of baseball's best switch-hitting...
