Point Guard Trae Young FD - $10400 DK - $9400 Opponent - LAL Proj Pts FD - 49.21 DK - 53.91 There is nothing that tickles me more than a young (some pun intended) player making "the leap." In case you haven't noticed, Trae Young is doing exactly that. In his Sophmore year, Young is shooting four more times per game, and doing so with 4% more efficiency. He's shooting 2.8 more threes per game with a 6% higher efficiency. He's also clowning people by dribbling through their legs. And you know what? He hasn't been so bad for DFS purposes either. The Hawks are running him for absurd 39+ minute rotations in close games, and he's topped 60 FanDuel points in three of his last four games. The Lakers aren't an ideal match-up, but they are also designed to shut down basically every kind of player except for Trae Young and other small guards. I love Young to go off today. Ky Bowman FD - $3800 DK - $3000 Opponent - NO Proj Pts FD - 24.67 DK - 25.07 In the three games that D'Angelo Russell missed at the beginning of November, Bowman played an average of 37 minutes a game and scored an average of 27 FanDuel points per game. New Orleans has played the league's fastest pace with the third lowest defensive efficiency rating. This is one of the easiest plays of the season, and Bowman's presence alone almost makes this slate worth playing.     Shooting Guard Jrue Holiday FD - $9400 DK - $8400 Opponent - GS Proj Pts FD - 50.95 DK - 51.2 Jrue has already pretty much been worth these prices this season, and the absence of Josh Hart and potentially Brandon Ingram just make this situation...

Point Guard Luka Doncic FD - $11200 DK - $10000Opponent - NYProj Pts FD - 56.19 DK - 60.23Is there anything more fun than Luka Doncic's sophmore season? The Mavs' young superstar as improved appreciably in every category this season, from his raw counting stats to his FG and FT percentages. If there is one criticism you can level, it's that he probably takes too many threes for a 32% shooter from deep. Do we care for our DFS purposes? Heck no! Shoot away, Luka. Today Doncic gets a terrific match-up against the hapless Knicks, and a potential blowout is the only thing that stands in the way of him easily paying value here. Ricky Rubio FD - $7700 DK - $7400Opponent - ATLProj Pts FD - 44.76 DK - 45.23I have never really believed that Rubio could warrant a near $8k salary, but I believe it wholly these days. He seems to have found the perfect system for his style in Phoenix, as he's asked to distribute, but is surrounded by enough shooting that it covers his own deficiencies in that area. He and Booker are a very complimentary duo, and Monty Williams seems to agree, as the duo played 77 combined minutes against the Lakers. Booker's price has come up a bit,but I think Rubio is still cheap enough to run as a value option on both sites. Also considered: Frank Ntilikina, if you think the Knicks hang well enough for him to get his minutes.   Shooting Guard Lou Williams FD - $7000 DK - $7700Opponent - NOProj Pts FD - 45.39 DK - 47.34 With Kawhi Leonard likely sitting the second half of a back-to-back on Thursday it should be (mostly) the Lou Williams show. I say mostly because with Paul George reentering the fray that should cut down some on Lou-Will's insane (37%) usage rate with Leonard off the court this season. That being said, I don't think we see an overwhelming amount of minutes for PG who's likely still working his way back from a conditioning standpoint. Williams will likely be one of the chalkier plays on this slate. Deandre Bembry FD - $4400 DK...

Quarterbacks Lamar Jackson FD 8800 DK 7700 Opponent HOU Proj Points FD - 23.94 DK - 23.9 Deshaun Watson FD 8200 DK 6800 Opponent BAL Proj Points FD - 23.55 DK - 24.43 I suspect this is the debate many have in their lineup creation over the course of the week. It’s a tough one for sure with these two facing off for real on Sunday. The quarterback position, like others, is top-heavy with Jackson and Watson occupying the 1st and 2nd slots in DraftKings points per game this season. Lamar is coming off another masterful Sunday needing really only three quarters to pass for three touchdowns and run for another against the hapless Bengals. As we’ve been preaching all season since Week 1, Jackson’s overall safety comes with his efficiency on the ground where he has 700 rushing yards, twice as many as the next closest quarterback. The 2,000+ passing yards and 66% completion percentage is almost just bonus at this point. Meanwhile, Watson hasn’t been any slouch and is coming off the bye week with some extra time to prepare for the Ravens. Houston comes in as 4.5 road underdogs to the Ravens and the line suggests Houston will need to keep their foot on the gas to keep up with Baltimore. Watson is third in those aforementioned QB rushing yards and has six touchdowns on the ground this season. But he’s also throwing for around 270 yards per game and ranks third in passing touchdowns on the season. The Ravens are 21st in defensive DVOA this year and it stands to reason Houston can put up points here. The other key consideration is price. Watson is $600 less on FanDuel and $900 less on DraftKings. This is significant on a week where we’ll almost for sure want to spend up on at least two stud running backs. In the end, I think price wins out. Though Jackson has a higher floor, I think every penny counts and we end up rostering Watson, but it’s a close decision...

Point Guard Kyrie Irving FD - $9800 DK - $9700 Opponent - PHO Proj Pts FD - 48.65 DK - 49.98 What can you say about what Irving has done so far this season? He's put up career highs in every DFS category except for steals, and has only sacrificed a few percentage points of his field goal percentage in order to do so. It hasn't translated to a ton of real life basketball success just yet, but that's just not my concern as a DFS player. This Phoenix match-up isn't as good as it has been historically, but the Suns are still playing a top 11 PACE, and I think Kyrie will handle Rubio just fine. Damian Lillard FD - $10200 DK - $10100 Opponent - ATL Proj Pts FD - 56.72 DK - 58.54 It's an interesting challenge play between Irving and Lillard. These two have been eerily similar this year. Let's have a look. Lillard: 33.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 6.9 assists, 2.6 turnovers, 1.3 steals, .4 blocks. Irving: 31.9 points, 5.8 rebounds, 7.5 assists, 2.6 turnovers, 1.3 steals, .6 blocks. Lillard has been more efficient, but Irving has chipped in more counting stats. They're equals in every way, so where do we go for a tie-breaker? I'll go with the slight blowout risk in Portland, but honestly I'd be thrilled to play both. Raul Neto FD - $3700 DK - $4500 Opponent - CHA Proj Pts FD - 26.38 DK - 26.85 Neto was a chalk option after he drew the start for Simmons against the Nuggets, and mostly delivered, scoring 13 points on 5-6 from the field and chipping in 6 assists as well. The price has crept up a little bit, but it's an all-world match-up with this hapless Hornets team, and I expect cash game players to roll it back with him once against. Keep an eye on how the Trail Blazers handle Rodney Hood's absence. Anfernee Simons played 35 minutes after Hood went down, and he could be one of the better punts on the day as a result.     Shooting Guard RJ Barrett FD - $7200 DK - $6300 Opponent -...

FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks – Thursday, 11/7/19

FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Thursday, 11/7/19   After a huge Wednesday slate with a lot of injury news, Thursday's prime time slate is looking quite a bit more relaxed. There isn't any real blowout risk on this slate, but there aren't a lot of games with huge totals, either, so it looks like it's going to be a pretty straightforward trip to value town. Let's get to it. Head on over a for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our NFL Optimizer and NHL Projections as well. Point Guard Ricky Rubio FD - $7000 DK - $6700 Opponent - MIA Proj Pts FD - 32.14 DK - 32.57 Rubio appears to be just what the doctor ordered in Phoenix this season, as the Suns are tearing up a seriously good Western Conference with him as the field general. He's been good for 13/6.5/8.5 so far this season, and is packing a solid floor thanks to his across the board contributions. Miami has been tough defensively this season, but their top 10 pace should make up enough of the difference, particularly when you consider how thin point guard is over all. Patrick Beverley FD - $5300 DK - $4900 Opponent - POR Proj Pts FD - 28.18 DK - 27.87 I don't want to overstate things, but wasn't Patrick Beverley put on Earth specifically for match-ups like this? He can cover every single guy on Portland who is capable of scoring (outside of Whiteside I guess), and his ability to switch all over and cause havoc on the defensive end should mean he gets his standard 32-33 minute rotation here. Again, point guard is very tough on this four game slate, and your options are basically to go cheaper with Beverley or overpay for someone who either doesn't consistently hit value on their current price or someone in a tough match-up. I think Beverley is a pretty high floor way to sneak away from a tough position. Also considered: Damian Lillard, though I'm not sure point guard is where you want to be spending up.   Shooting Guard Jimmy Butler FD - $9300 DK - $7200 Opponent - PHO Proj Pts FD - 41.54 DK - 39.45 Okay, so I realized as I was picking players for shooting guard that it's pretty likely that every position is...
