Last week he dropped 70 fantasy points against the Warriors in 30 minutes. Tonight he'll go up against the Nets, who have allowed the 4th most fantasy points to opposing point guards this season. We're not even worried about blowout risk here, as if the Mavs manage to blow other teams out it's almost always because of Luka himself. The $10,800 salary is just a joke, and Luka is very likely the big money payoff you're looking for here. Shabazz Napier FD - $5000 DK - $5900 Opponent - GS Proj Pts FD - 34.05 DK - 34.37 With Teague currently listed as doubtful, we could be looking at another night of incredible chalk for Shabazz Napier. He was a 90%+ start in cash games last night, and had paid these prices by halftime. If Teague returns for some reason you likely won't want to play him, but given that this match-up is like 10x better than the Bucks spot last night he could be nearly unanimously owned in this one. Also considered: Kyle Lowry, who is looking rock solid on a $7,800 price tag on FanDuel. Shooting Guard Buddy Hield FD - $6200 DK - $6700 Opponent - MEM Proj Pts FD - 33.54 DK - 35.66 On a larger slate I'd like to be getting away with something, but the outrageous floor on Hield seems like it's worth talking about. His rotation and usage are among the most secure in the entire game, as evidenced by his last game against the Clippers, where the Kings lost by 18 but Hield still played 36 minutes and got 17 shots in the air. If this were a normal week of DFS this isn't likely a game we'd be targeting. The Bills ranked 6th in overall defense this season, and while Houston ranked 26th, the Bills haven't exactly been a team we've turned to for a lot of DFS value. On a two game slate, though? It will be impossible to not have a few plays from this game. Let's take a look and see what we can find. With Derrick Henry sitting alone atop the running back charts, though, you will want to spend up somewhere, and neither is a bad bet. Watson and Hopkins are the next two most expensive plays on the slate after Henry, and the big decision here is whether you want to run them against the Bills 6th ranked defense or run Henry against the Patriots and their top ranked defense. With a gun to my head I'd guess we don't wind up playing Watson because the savings you can get going down to Tannehill are too enticing, but that Hopkins winds up making the cut. Hopkins gets an extra boost from Will Fuller returning here, as defenses have been a lot more prone to shadowing him when Will Fuller was absent. We know he's playing 40 minutes a game in close contests, and with Toronto sitting as just 2.5 point favorites against the Thunder this game projects to be just that. He was on five straight games topping 40 fantasy points before the Christmas day debacle, and outside of these tough Boston match-ups he should be just fine. OKC doesn't represent the best match-up, as they play pretty slowly with league average defense, but on a small slate I'm just grabbing Lowry at this value price for the floor alone. Austin Rivers FD - $3700 DK - $3800 Opponent - NO Proj Pts FD - 18.87 DK - 19.25 With Westbrook already ruled out of this one, it seems like a pretty easy call to just slide Austin Rivers into your DFS lineups on FanDuel and DraftKings. He didn't start the last time Russ was out, but he did contribute a wildly solid 14/5/5 line with two blocks against the Pistons. I don't see how the Rockets get away with playing Rivers for fewer than 25 minutes, and Rivers should be a great cash game play in this, erm, revenge game. The Pelicans don't seem to know what they want to do with Ball right now, as he followed an 18 minute start against the Trail Blazers with a 36 minute start against the Nuggets. Chris Paul is still pretty cheap, and Lonzo Ball is an interesting upside target in a fast paced match-up with a Rockets team that will sit Russell Westbrook but return Eric Gordon in this one. Dejounte Murray FD - $5900 DK - $5700 Opponent - DAL Proj Pts FD - 32.58 DK - 31.78 Murray has rounded into a fantasy points per minute beast thanks to his incredible contributions on the defensive end, and his floor is among the highest at this price point thanks to his ability to contribute across the board. With 34.7 fantasy points per game over his last 7 games, he's just flat out under-priced right now, and I'll happily grab him in a league average match-up with the Mavs in any format. Also considered: Jalen Brunson, if Doncic is out once again. Given that there is some chance for Luka to come back here I didn't want to write him up entirely though. Shooting Guard Andrew Wiggins FD - $7300 DK - $7800 Opponent - SAC Proj Pts FD - 41.13 DK - 41.54 I'm not shy about getting Wiggy with it with Towns out, and this price on FanDuel is just a mystery to me. Wiggins has averaged just under 40 FanDuel points a game on the season, and that includes games where he was splitting Alpha duties with Towns. The Kings are in disarray right now, and the 10-19 Timberwolves are just 4 point dogs here. I have a hard time believing Wiggins doesn't get his in spite of Sacramento's depressingly slow pace. Kemba wasn't fantastic in their first meeting this season, but the context here is totally different. With Smart ruled out and Heyward currently questionable, the offensive burden will be squarely on Kemba's shoulders. Charlotte is also on the second half of a back to back here. There is some serious blowout risk with the Celtics sitting at 13 point favorites, but on a small slate I don't know if that can full scare us off. Jamal Murray FD - $6800 DK - $6800 Opponent - LAL Proj Pts FD - 37.19 DK - 37.93 I just think Jamal Murray is a great value right now. We played him at 2% ownership on DraftKings two nights ago and he rewarded us with 52 fantasy points in 36 minutes against the Timberwolves. Murray has been playing 35-36 minute rotations in close games recently, and while the Lakers are a tough match-up, Murray went for 22/5/5/1/2 in their last meeting. LeBron's likely absence should help keep this one close, and I love Murray's floor here. Also considered: Rajon Rondo. Rondo has seen a lot of cash game ownership recently even with LeBron on the floor, and given the Lakers incredible lack of depth in terms of ball handlers it's hard to imagine where else these minutes go. With both he and Caruso playing terribly last game I can't call this a cash game lock, but you have to at least consider it. Aaron Holiday if Jeremy Lamb is out again.
