Point Guard Jalen Brunson FD - $3600 DK - $3800 Opponent - HOU Proj Pts FD - 28.58 DK - 29.36 The biggest news heading into this slate is that Luka Doncic is going to miss this (and potentially several) game, and for DFS purposes, you're basically trying to redistribute an incredible amount of time of possession and opportunity among his team's leftovers. That leaves most of the Mavs in play, but the one who should see the most cash game attention is Jalen Brunson. Brunson's worst night during the 5 game stretch Luka missed in December saw him supply 29 FanDuel points, and if he hits even that number it will be impossible to win in cash games without him. He's one of the easiest plays of the season against the Rockets and that's all there is to it. JA Morant FD - $7400 DK - $6900 Opponent - NO Proj Pts FD - 38.08 DK - 38.88 Ja has been on an absolute heater recently, and redistributing JJJ's 13 shots a game should only sweeten the deal here. It's interesting, Ja and the Grizzlies have played so many weird game scripts recently that the sites' pricing algorithms haven't caught on to his true value, but thankfully we can use a little logic and figure out that he's under-priced here. The Grizzlies have been involved in one game in their last five that was decided by fewer than 10 points, and in that game Morant played 34 minutes while chipping in 41 FanDuel points. He's a steal against a Pelicans team that has played the fourth fastest pace with the eighth worst defensive efficiency. Also considered: Kyle Lowry, who was terrific against Cleveland again last night. Shooting Guard James Harden FD - $10100 DK - $10600 Opponent - DAL Proj Pts FD - 57.13 DK - 59.51 Harden looked flat out awful against the Trail Blazers after returning from his two game absence, but this price is just downright offensive. With incredible value at multiple positions tonight I just don't see how we get around taking Harden at a full 10% discount to his fair value. Dallas has been essentially...

Point Guard Kemba Walker FD - $7900 DK - $7900 Opponent - GS Proj Pts FD - 44.91 DK - 46.49 Jayson Tatum hasn't been officially ruled out just yet, but if he is, the remaining Celtics will all be in play once again. It's a tricky situation with these guys, since they will basically all be over-priced once Tatum and Brown are both playing alongside one another. For now, though, we'll assume that Tatum's shots are still up for grabs, and that makes Walker a great play. He's averaged 22 shots in his last three games as opposed to the 17 he's averaged all season long, and that increased usage justifies the increased price here. Golden State is also an all-world match-up, allowing the second most fantasy points per game to opposing point guards this season. On a shorter slate he looks like a grade A play. Kyle Lowry FD - $7400 DK - $7500 Opponent - CLE Proj Pts FD - 40.68 DK - 42.16 The Raptors are 10 point favorites over the Cavs here, and while we just saw the starting Raps lose minutes in a blowout of the Hawks, we also saw them mostly pay their current prices. Lowry is cheap relative to his season long production specifically because the Raptors have been involved in a handful of blowouts recently, and while that's in play here, the discounted price likely makes up for it. Lowry looked excellent against the Cavs' young back court in both of their prior two meetings, averaging 22 points and 9.5 assists in those two contests. He looks like a high floor play with sneaky ceiling if this game manages to stay close. Also considered: De'Aaron Fox. Shooting Guard Fred Vanvleet FD - $7300 DK - $7700 Opponent - CLE Proj Pts FD - 42.64 DK - 42.83 VanVleet's fantasy production this season looks awfully similar to Lowry's, and given that we're getting him at nearly the same price in the same great match-up he's a tremendous value as well. One thing our system seems to be keying in on early are lineups that include a lot of these excellent mid-range plays instead...

FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks – Friday 1/23/20

Point Guard Anfernee Simons FD - $4000 DK - $4500 Opponent - DAL Proj Pts FD - 25.19 DK - 26.68 Have you seen these rotations out of Simons recently? Just outrageous minutes, including 41 in regulation last game. With CJ McCollum limited in practice on Wednesday, it looks for all the world like he'll miss another couple of games. He needs every single one of those minutes to pay these prices as long as he's playing alongside Melo and Lillard, but the floor just seems super high, and when you get a price and opportunity mismatch like this on a three game slate you should probably pursue it. Kyrie Irving FD - $8700 DK - $8400 Opponent - LAL Proj Pts FD - 48.4 DK - 49.19 Damian Lillard FD - $9300 DK - $9900 Opponent - DAL Proj Pts FD - 48.55 DK - 50.64 A key decision on FanDuel tonight might come down to picking between high priced point guards. On DraftKings Lillard is startlingly more expensive, and not really in consideration for me. On FanDuel it's a bit closer. Lillard has the better match-up and is getting an obvious usage bump with CJ sidelined, but he's more expensive. Kyrie's got a tough match-up with the Lakers, but they are worse against point guards than pretty much any other position. This game has the potential to get out of hand, but given Davis' uncertain status of this writing it could be closer than it would be with both superstars healthy. Right now, I'm leaning toward Lillard on FanDuel and Irving on DraftKings. If you have the money, Luka Doncic is still lurking as well. He's a great value and was good against Portland last week, but I'm just not sure this is where we're spending up tonight just yet. Also considered: Cleveland's young back-court duo are great plays against a bad Washington team, and I wouldn't fault anyone for running them in any format. Honestly point guard is so deep that you might want to prioritize plays at other positions and see how much you have left over at the end. Shooting Guard Gary Trent Jr. FD -...

FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks – Sunday, 1/19/20

FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Sunday, 1/19/20 With the NFL conference championship games going, the NBA has sort of ducked this slate. As of now we don't know what sort of slates are going to be offered, if any, but let's break down each game for kicks. Head on over a for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our NFL Optimizer and NHL Projections as well. Plus our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. Miami Heat at the San Antonio Spurs Miami is favored by 1 in a game with a 221 total. Well, well, well, it's a rematch of last Wednesday's game, which the Heat took down by a score of 106-100. That's not a super exciting DFS total, and these are two teams that are essentially fairly priced. Rudy Gay is out for the Spurs, and Dejounte Murray is questionable, but right now there isn't a lot of obvious value jumping to the forefront. But what are you going to do, skip a whole game on a two game slate? I think not. Let's take a look at the two squads. The Miami Heat Duncan Robinson FD - $3900 DK - $4600 Opponent - SA Proj Pts FD - 23.32 DK - 24.86 Kendrick Nunn FD - $5000 DK - $5600 Opponent - SA Proj Pts FD - 24.88 DK - 25.5 As far as our system is concerned the Heat's value comes primarily from the back-court, with Nunn and Robinson leading the charge. Robinson has shown that he's nothing special, but given that Spoelstra is happy to leave him out there for 35+ minutes a game you can't ignore him at essentially the minimum price on FanDuel. He's paid almost exactly 21 fantasy points in each of his last three games, which is really all you can ask for here. Nunn has been electric recently, and while he's pretty scoring dependent, he's been absolutely shooting the lights out on the looks he's been getting. He crushed these Spurs for 46.6 FanDuel points on 13/18 shooting in that game, and while you can't expect that every game he still looks like a cash game staple. After these two, things get a little more speculative. Our system doesn't love Bam, but he was totally fine in the Wednesday game. You can also consider Goran Dragic off the bench. The San Antonio Spurs DeMar DeRozan...

Point Guard Luka Doncic FD - $11000 DK - $12400 Opponent - POR Proj Pts FD - 55.8 DK - 60.53 It's a night without a lot of premier pay-up options, and while he's very expensive on DraftKings it's going to be hard to fade him on FanDuel. Luka had a brief three game lull for a few different reasons - weird game scripts and tough match-ups primarily - but got back in the saddle with a devastating 25/15/17 line against the Kings. While Doncic is not a traditional point guard, it's worth noting that his combination of size and vision matches up very well against Portland's undersized back court. I love Luka in all formats on FanDuel, and he should be the highest owned big money option on the slate. Shabazz Napier FD - $5000 DK - $5000 Opponent - IND Proj Pts FD - 31.37 DK - 32.01 With Teague out of the picture permanently and no replacement imminent, Napier is positioned to slide right back into the role he inhabited when Teague was injured earlier in the year. In the last two games Teague missed Napier put together an average line of 21/4.5/5 in 32 minutes of action. He is far too cheap for that level of production, and while Indiana is far from an ideal match-up thanks to their slow pace and solid defense this is just a price and opportunity mismatch that we aren't likely to pass up. Chris Paul FD - $7000 DK - $6900 Opponent - MIA Proj Pts FD - 38.61 DK - 39.1 CP3 hasn't been a flashy play this season, but he has been a solid one on these prices. He's averaged almost exactly 5x points per dollar on these prices all season, and he's been even better recently. He's playing slightly longer rotations than he was earlier this year while supplying his same solid production, and it looks like the sites have over-corrected for a challenging Miami match-up. His solid across the board production means he's got a great floor, and that is all you can really ask for from a tough point guard position tonight. In the same vein,...
