Quarterback Drew Brees FD 8200 DK 6600 Opponent ATL Proj Points FD - 0 DK - 0 As an old guy myself, I'm horrified by Drew Brees and hoping for a speedy recovery. As a DFS owner, I'm thinking about the ramifications for this weekend's contests. Adam Schefter reported that Taysom Hill is going to start against the Falcons this weekend, which creates one of the strangest DFS opportunities we've had since we started this business. Hill is currently a $4,500 tight end on FanDuel, which makes him an absolute must in cash games on FanDuel this week. UPDATE: The Saints have walked back the news that Hill is the definitive starter, so you'll need to check this news as the game gets closer. Matthew Stafford FD 7500 DK 6000 Opponent CAR Proj Points FD - 17.32 DK - 18.01 Stafford has been limited in practice, but the Lions seem optimistic that he'll be out there against the Panthers this week. He's wearing a protective device to safeguard the torn ligament in his thumb, but he should be ready to go by game time. I'm not interested in playing Stafford, and would be concerned about running any of his receivers even if he gets the green light. Teddy Bridgewater FD 7200 DK 6400 Opponent DET Proj Points FD - 18.03 DK - 18.62 Bridgewater is currently considered "unlikely" to play against the Lions this weekend, and his absence would kill any remaining interest we have in the speculative Carolina receivers. An MCL sprain could hamper Bridgewater's ability to get out in space and create time for his receivers to get open, and even if he plays I'd be pretty concerned to play his receivers here. Running Back Christian McCaffrey FD 10000 DK 9400 Opponent DET Proj Points FD - 0 DK - 0 McCaffrey has been ruled out of week 11's tilt with the Lions, leaving the RB1 duties to Mike Davis once again. While you can't take Davis' performance against a brutal Bucs defense as an indicator of how he'll do every week, the combination of a bad week and a dramatic rise in price certainly takes some of the shine off of him. Still, he's a terrific play in big tournaments, where the aforementioned concerns should create an opportunity to play a high upside back with relatively low ownership. Joe Mixon...

START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW!   James and Doug are back to break down every game on the main slate of FanDuel and DraftKings for week 11. With Christian McCaffrey going down, it looks like Dalvin Cook and Davante Adams will be the default pay-up options in all formats. We don't believe that it opens up Mike Davis as an interesting cash game play, but he's a great big tournament play. The guys go through the long list of cheap running backs, discussing how you might prioritize each in various formats this week. And there are a lot of them, with Kalen Ballage, JD McKissic, Salvon Ahmed, Damien Harris, DeAndre Swift, Duke Johnson, and potentially Giovani Bernard being playable this week. That's a long list, but the guys believe there are some clearly better options than others. There are some other questions to answer this week as well. To what degree do we trust Jameis in cash games, and how does he impact the Saints' offense? How do we handle opportunity projections for teams that played in windy conditions last week? The guys answer all these questions and more on the week 11 game by game podcast. Love the DFSR podcast? Go ahead and subscribe and listen wherever you get your daily podcasts. DFS NFL Podcast – Week 11 Cash Game Podcast for DraftKings and FanDuel

START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW!   James and Doug are back to take an early look at cash games in week 11 on FanDuel and DraftKings. Quarterback has a few options that we haven't considered much this season in Justin Herbert and Lamar Jackson. Herbert has had a surprisingly high floor this season, and has a great match-up with the terrible New York Jets. Jackson hasn't been the guy he was last season, but the upside is still there with him getting 10+ carries a game. The guys discuss the pros and cons of each. Running back presents a bevy of cheap options, and the difficulty this week is picking between them. DFSR feels like Ballage and McKissic are the best options, but people will certainly dabble with Harris, Ahmed, and even Duke Johnson. If you run two cheap guys, you're going to have room for a top tier play, and it will be tough to choose between McCaffrey and Cook. Wide receiver is actually fairly tough this week. Davante Adams is a great play (as usual), but can you afford him alongside McCaffrey or Cook? Thankfully there are some good cheap options, with each of the Steelers wide receivers looking good, Brandin Cooks in a bounceback, and others. Tight end is a disaster as always, and DFSR is leaning toward Hayden Hurst as a high floor way to get away from a bad position cheaply. Love the DFSR podcast? Daily Fantasy Football Cash Game Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings Week 11

For a limited time we're offering a free one week trial to all the sports that we cover - that's optimal lineups for NFL, NBA, NHL, and MLB - for the same low price. Get started now! START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Quarterbacks Lamar Jackson FD 8400 DK 7300 Opponent TENProj Points FD - 23.36 DK - 23.9 The bad news first. Lamar Jackson hasn’t been anywhere close to what we saw from the electrifying quarterback in 2019. There’s been a steep drop-off this season in the passing yards even though the efficiency has been relatively in the same range. The TDs aren’t keeping pace either, though those numbers were definitely due to regress some from what we saw. Where he’s way behind last season is the rushing yards. Last season he was averaging more than 80 yards per game, but this season it’s only around 52. But that’s ticked up to 71/5 yards per game over the last four and this week he gets a bottom-third defense in the Tennessee Titans. It’s also a big-time pace-up matchup with the Titans allowing the second most opponent plays per game, trailing only Seattle. If there’s a breakout spot for Jackson, this looks like it. We aren’t getting him at any kind of huge discount, but the price has dropped since the beginning of the season. Justin Herbert FD 8500 DK 6800 Opponent NYJProj Points FD - 22.32 DK - 23.43 Since taking over for Tyros Taylor in Week 2, Herbert has been nothing short of fantastic from a fantasy perspective. In fact, in that time span he ranks as QB5 in raw fantasy scoring behind only Murray, Allen, Mahomes and Wilson. That’s such an impressive list and is nothing short of amazing considering he wasn’t even the starter Week 1 and it took a punctured lung to get him in there. The accuracy is decent at 67% but he’s getting it done in the red zone through the air with 19 passing touchdowns as well as on the ground with three rushing TDs. This week the Chargers get the garbage Jets who rank 29th overall in defensive DVOA and dead last against the pass. Herbert’s price has come up for good reason, but he’s still very much a play here in a choice matchup. Alex Smith FD 6600 DK 5300 Opponent CINProj Points FD - 16.78 DK - 17.66 If looking for a cheaper play, especially on DraftKings the hero story of Alex Smith could be a place to turn. Two years from nearly losing his leg and his...

Injury analysis for week 10 of NFL DFS on FanDuel and DraftKings

Injury analysis for week 10 of NFL DFS on FanDuel and DraftKings Welcome to our weekly injury analysis article! It's an odd week with injuries, and a lot of decisions that might come down to the wire. Let's jump in. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NFL and MLB optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger FD 7400 DK 6200 Opponent CIN Proj Points FD - 0 DK - 0 Well, we live in a world where sitting next to the wrong guy on the plane can land you on the IR. Roethlisberger did just that last Sunday, sitting next to Vance McDonald, who received a positive Covid test on Monday. Ben is now in a five-day quarantine, and we won't know his status until Saturday when he might participate in a walk-through. If he plays, it's a green light from us on the entire Steelers offense in a great match-up. If he sits, the Steelers become irrelevant for DFS purposes with Mason Rudolph under center. Kyle Allen FD 6500 DK 4800 Opponent DET Proj Points FD - 0 DK - 0 Allen's season is over, leaving the quarterback duties to soft throwing Alex Smith. While it's not clear that either quarterback should be chucking balls in the NFL, Alex Smith does change the offense considerably. We saw this come to pass in dramatic fashion against the Giants, where running back JD McKissic receive 14 targets, even lining up in the slot for a number of snaps. For now we're downgrading conventional deep threat Terry McLaurin, and upgrading McKissic to cash game consideration on DraftKings. Running Back Christian McCaffrey FD 9700 DK 9000 Opponent TB Proj Points FD - 0 DK - 0 McCaffrey is out for week 10, leaving the running back duties back in Mike Davis' mostly capable hands. It's a tough match-up with the Bucs, but Davis is cheap enough that you're going to need to consider running him in all formats. Nick Chubb FD 8200 DK 6800 Opponent HOU Proj Points FD - 11.96 DK - 12.35 The final word on Chubb for this weekend is that the Browns will consult with the medical staff before clearing Chubb to play against the Texans. If Chubb is cleared, we'll be staying away from the Cleveland running game altogether. If he sits, we'll take a long hard look at Kareem Hunt in cash games. UPDATE: Chubb has been cleared, and the Browns' running game is a stay-away. Chris Carson FD 7800 DK 6200 Opponent LAR Proj Points FD - 0 DK - 0...
