Daily Fantasy Football Game by Game Breakdowns Sunday's FanDuel and DraftKings Slates After a wild wildcard round, the NFL barrels forward into the divisional round this week. The competition picks up this week with the return of the new #1 seeds, but it doesn't necessarily mean we're only in for close games. Sunday's slate brings us the two biggest totals of the weekend, so we should have enough interesting plays to make a solid squad. Let's dive in. Plus, check out our picks for Saturday's Divisional Round Plays for FanDuel and DraftKings.   Want access to the projections that power these picks? Cleveland Browns (+10) vs. Kansas City Chiefs (-10) Our Sunday slate kicks off with the game with the largest spread on the slate, with the defending Superbowl Champs taking on the "surprise team" of round one. The Browns rode good play and good fortune past the big-brother Steelers, and the football world is left wondering if last week was their Superbowl, or if they'll get up to take down the Chiefs this week. The Chiefs, meanwhile, haven't played a meaningful game in weeks, and have one significant piece of injury news we'll need to keep an eye on. Regardless, Vegas sees this as a game with a huge total, so there should be plenty of fantasy production to go around. Let's have a look. Cleveland Browns On a two-game slate, we're not going to be able to fully ignore any team. While we aren't often excited to run guys as a ten-point under-dog, the Browns have shown enough in the passing game that I think we can take a stab here. We will largely be ignoring Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt for cash games, though it's worth pointing out that there are game-scripts where the Browns get out ahead early and Chubb winds up being a solid big tournament option. Let's have a look at our cash options. Jarvis Landry FD 6900 DK 5600 Opponent KC Proj Points FD - 13.25 DK - 16.22 Rashard Higgins FD 5300 DK 4100 Opponent KC Proj Points FD - 11.5 DK - 13.81 Landry and Higgins exemplify the types of questions we have to ask ourselves every single week in DFS. On one hand, we have Landry, whose targets and production have been more consistent throughout the year. He's coming off a great game against the Steelers and has topped 13.9 FanDuel points in 5 of his last...

Point Guard Malcolm Brogdon FD - $8400 DK - $8300 Opponent - SAC Proj Pts FD - 46.65 DK - 47.87 Brogdon is playing unreal minutes this early in the season, averaging more than 40 minutes and 50 FanDuel points per game over his last four contests. Today he'll get his best match-up of the season, taking on a Sacramento team that's playing a top 10 PACE with the league's worst defensive efficiency. Throw in a hobbled De'Aaron Fox (who is battling a hamstring issue) and Brogdon should theoretically have his way here. Elfrid Payton FD - $5500 DK - $6400 Opponent - CHA Proj Pts FD - 35.36 DK - 36.19 When the Knicks can avoid getting blown out, Payton has been good for 33+ minutes and almost a fantasy point per minute. That's a straight-up price and opportunity mismatch, and Payton living up to his potential on any given night mostly comes down to whether the Knicks can hang. Given that the Knicks are just 4.5 point dogs here, I think we can expect an excellent game from Payton at a very reasonable price. Also considered: Fred Vanvleet. Shooting Guard Tyrese Maxey FD - $5200 DK - $4700 Opponent - ATL Proj Pts FD - 39.33 DK - 40.23 With Simmons and Milton (and Harris, Ferguson, and Poirer) all ruled out already, the Sixers are going to be wildly short-handed once again. You know who hasn't minded? One Tyrese Maxey, who threw up the most improbable 60 fantasy point performance I can remember against the Nuggets last game. He's got legitimate game, and he'll get a terrific match-up with the Hawks' offensive-minded squad tonight. Maxey is a cash game staple if he's starting again. Bradley Beal FD - $10100 DK - $9900 Opponent - PHO Proj Pts FD - 57.33 DK - 58.81 Speaking of cash game staples, it feels hard to go too wrong with Bradley Beal given how shorthanded the Wizards are in their own right. Westbrook and Bryant are ruled out, leaving a lot of usage on the table, and Beal was already paying these prices. Phoenix isn't the match-up they used to be since CP3...

Daily Fantasy Football Game by Game Breakdowns Sunday's FanDuel and DraftKings Slates The NFL managed to make it through all 256 games of the regular season, and now we get to sit and pray that Covid doesn't ruin the playoffs. With the Saints apparently narrowly avoiding losing their running backs to the plague, it looks like we might get a normal week of football after all. Let's go game by game and see where we can find a little DFS value. Plus, check out our picks for Saturday's Divisional Round Plays for FanDuel and DraftKings. Want access to the projections that power these picks? Tennessee Titans (3.5) vs. Baltimore Ravens (-3.5) Things kick off on Sunday with a rematch of one of the best games of the regular season, a game that saw the Titans win on a 29-yard touchdown run from Derrick Henry in overtime. Blessedly, this was a week where both teams were mostly healthy, and there's a lot we can learn from how each team game-planned against the other. Let's take a look at the DFS relevant plays on both sides. Tennessee Titans Derrick Henry FD 10200 DK 9200 Opponent BAL Proj Points FD - 22.44 DK - 23.48 One thing that was clear when these two teams met in November was that the Titans were prepared to live and die with Derrick Henry. In spite of falling behind by 11 points in the second quarter, Henry touched the ball 30 times for 132 yards. Baltimore was tough against the run this season, but the playoffs are a time where we are going to have to recalibrate our expectations about match-ups. We're looking at short slates with good teams, and you just aren't going to get to run Henry against teams like the Texans. Now price might wind up making Henry miss the cut, but don't fret this spot based on match-up or opportunity. Ryan Tannehill FD 8200 DK 6600 Opponent BAL Proj Points FD - 18.77 DK - 19.45 Our system recommends Lamar Jackson as the top overall cash game play on both sites, but Tannehill is the next man up. While Jackson is obviously the superior DFS QB, Tannehill brings an interesting skill set to the table in his own right. The Titans have been using Tannehill's rushing ability in the red zone far more often toward the end of the season, with RT going for 5 rushing touchdowns in the Titans'...

Before we get started, just note that Luka Doncic's status will determine a lot of where lineups are going to head today. If he's out, basically every remaining Maverick is in play from a DFS perspective. If he plays, you can't run them. You'll have to keep an eye out as it leads up to lineup lock. Point Guard Markelle Fultz FD - $5800 DK - $6500 Opponent - CLE Proj Pts FD - 37.77 DK - 38.01 Fultz has picked up right where he left off at the end of last season, helping us understand why Orlando was happy to pay the former number 1 overall pick handsomely. He's been a similar player in all but one way - he's shooting way more often. He's added 5 shots a game (a 50% increase!) in spite of playing just 2 more minutes per game, and has 8+ assists in each of the Magic's last two non-blowout affairs. While the Cleveland back-court is promising offensively, they still have significant defensive struggles, and Fultz looks like a great value to me here. Elfrid Payton FD - $5300 DK - $6000 Opponent - ATL Proj Pts FD - 34.08 DK - 35.8 Stacking the Atlanta game has been a winning strategy so far this season, so we'll at least consider keeping the ball rolling with the relevant Knicks today. Payton's minutes have been up and down, which is why his fantasy points per game don't look great, but in close games, he's been playing a very active 33+. He'll likely draw Trae Young here, which could lead to another 19/8/5 type night like he just put up against the Pacers. It's a little closer on DraftKings at the higher price point, but he gets a full green light from us on FanDuel. Keep an eye on Evan Fournier's status. He missed practice on Sunday, and if he doesn't suit up Michael Carter-Williams would be in play in spite of his limited production on 30+ minutes last game. Shooting Guard James Harden FD - $11400 DK - $11100 Opponent - DAL Proj Pts FD - 56.92 DK - 60.4 You'll likely have to pay up...

Point Guard Mike Conley FD - $6600 DK - $6900 Opponent - SA Proj Pts FD - 35.88 DK - 38.06 Conley has turned into the guy we hoped he'd be from the moment he joined the Jazz, contributing across multiple categories en route to being a great high floor mid-range point guard. He's shooting 3 more times a game, and making 7% more of the shots he takes. He's basically improved upon his last good year in Memphis, and I'm sure Jazz fans have to be delighted. The Spurs are building upon the up-tempo game they ran during the bubble, playing the 12th fastest pace this year. Conley is still too cheap for this new production, and I'll happily run him in cash games. Kyrie Irving FD - $9500 DK - $9000 Opponent - WAS Proj Pts FD - 51.18 DK - 53.67 Well, if you thought Durant joining the Nets was going to slow down Kyrie's usage, you are looking mistaken. Kyrie is shooting almost exactly the same number of shots as he was last year, with the big difference being that defenses can't just sell out to stop him anymore. He hasn't paid these prices just yet, but that should come as he finally puts together a game where he's not running terribly from the field and he plays his full run of minutes. And Washington? Yikes. They're rocking the league's 3rd fastest pace and 5th worst defensive efficiency. Kyrie is a great play in any format. Also considered: Steph Curry. It's basically a challenge play between him and Kyrie, but I'll lean into Kyrie on the basis of the match-up. Shooting Guard Paul George FD - $8000 DK - $8700 Opponent - PHO Proj Pts FD - 44.02 DK - 45.89 George's price is still being depressed by a number of weird games that saw him lose his minutes to start this season, but we know from the Clippers' three close games that he should be good for 36 minutes in close games. He's averaged 40 fantasy points a minute in 32 minutes a game this season, which you'd be happy with here. Phoenix has been an...
