We've got you completely covered. Check out last night's MLB Picks to get you started Brief Summary: A late-season ocean storm will affect the mid-Atlantic and the Northeast today. Here is what it looks like on radar this morning: PHL, PIT  and NYM all have home games this PM so let's see a simulated radar looks like:  Above is the simulated radar for 3 PM, the scheduled time of 1st pitch in PHL while PIT and NYM has a scheduled 1st pitch time of 4 PM (shown below): You can plainly see that rain will impact these games today but you can also see that they are not squarely in the solid rain shield that I look for that signifies a likely PPD. Thus, let's go MODERATE CHANCE OF A PPD/ANY TYPE OF DELAYS  FOR PIT AND PHL while NYM HAVE A LOW TO MODERATE CHANCE OF A PPD (GAME MAY START DRY) BUT RAIN WILL LIKELY IMPACT IT AT SOMETIME; MODERATE CHANCE OF AN IN-GAME DELAY I will obviously keep a close eye on both of these games throughout the morning and afternoon. The strange weather in California continues. A late season storm will be affecting the region and causing unusual weather for this time of year. NYY at OAK will see showers this afternoon while CHC at SF sees the threat of some showers tonight. THE CHANCE OF A PPD IS LOW BUT THE RISK OF AN IN-GAME DELAY IS HIGHER, LOW TO PERHAPS MODERATE. Simulated radar for 4 PM, the scheduled time of 1st pitch in OAK And here is the simulated radar for scheduled 1st pitch in SF (~7 PM) Nothing more than a few stray showers expected for TB at DET and SEA at CIN. EXTREMELY LOW CHANCE OF A PPD/LOW CHANCE OF ANY TYPE OF DELAY(S) Here is a 4 PM simulated radar for DET:...

We've got you completely covered. Check out last night's MLB Picks to get you started Brief Summary: Current radar this morning: Notice all the rain in the Southeast and mid-Mississippi Valley region. Simulated radar at 7 PM tonight:   COL at PIT the game will start dry but rain is approaching. We should be dry until about 10 PM so most of the game should be rainfree. If anything, I feel that the computer models may be too quick moving the rain in so I am not overly concerned about this game right now. VERY LOW CHANCE OF A PPD, LOW CHANCE OF A DELAY LATE IN THE GAME (AFTER 10 PM) Simulated radar for 11 PM shown above. As can be seen by the 2 simulated radar shown above, SEA at CIN will see rain. The key is how quickly the rain leaves the Queen City. Based on the 11 PM simulated radar, the rain is just leaving the city then. That is probably too late to try and play the game. MODERATE TO HIGH CHANCE OF PPDS OR DELAY(S) AZ at STL will see left-over rain leaving the region around scheduled 1st pitch (please see above simulated radars). It will rain there much of the day which is always a bit worrisome but by scheduled 1st pitch I am rather confident that most of the rain has lifted off to the northeast. LOW CHANCE OF A PPD OR IN-GAME DELAY; LOW TO MODERATE CHANCE OF A LATE START TO THE GAME Good Hitting Environments: - A strange weather pattern continues for the 4 games in CA tonight (games in OAK, SD, LAA and SF) in that the moisture in the air will be higher than normal. Batted balls may be able to travel slightly better than normal. The wind is screaming out to right in OAK, LAA and SF....

Check out last night's MLB Picks to get you started Brief Summary: Current radar this morning: Simulated radar expected this evening: No games look to see the threat of any PPD nor delays.    Good Hitting Environments: -LAD at LAA will see a breeze blowing out to right. -A very strong wind will blow out to right-center for the NYY at OAK game. Poor Hitting Environments: -Games in PIT, NYM, CIN, STL, CHW and MIN will see "coolish" temperatures but it is kind of a stretch to call them poor hitting environments simply because they have experienced much cooler temperatures recently.   Thirsty for more weather? We've got you completely covered. Check out last night's MLB Picks to get you started Brief Summary: Games in both SEA at BLT and ATL at PIT may see some light rain at times. Let's look at the simulated radar forecast for 7 PM: Unimpressive and the rain is forecast to be between the 2 cities with PIT more likely to be impacted than BLT. I would think LOW CHANCE OF PPD OR ANY TYPE OF DELAY(S) IN PIT while chances of any kind of impact are VERY LOW IN BLT.   Good Hitting Environments: -Mild with a decent wind blowing out to right for TEX at OAK.  -NYY at AZ will see warm temperatures causing low air density if the roof is open.  Poor Hitting Environments: -Games in PIT, CIN, CHW, NYM, PHL, DET and BLT will be played with cool temperatures. We've got you completely covered. Check out last night's MLB Picks to get you started Brief Summary: A few sprinkles or light rain will fall this evening in the game between CIN and CLE (the weird start time of 6:10 means that this game is not on many DFS slates anyways) and in ATL at PIT. Here is a simulated radar around 1st pitch: And for 8 PM: LOW CHANCE OF PPD/LOW TO PERHAPS MODERATE CHANCE OF ANY TYPE OF DELAY A light rain should be slowly moving away from SEA at BLT and MIN at PHL this evening. Here are simulated radars for 7 and 8 PM respectively:  As indicated by the green and grey colors, the rain is expected to be light. The rain is of the steady shield variety (not showery in nature) but is expected to push away right around the time of scheduled 1st pitch. Timing is very important and trying to nail the exact stoppage time of the rain is difficult, not impossible, to do this far out. LOW CHANCE OF A PPD (since the rain is so light anyways); LOW TO PERHAPS MODERATE RISK OF ANY TYPE OF DELAY(S) Just a few sprinkles scattered around WSH at NYM. Simulated radar for 7 PM: EXTREMELY LOW CHANCE OF A PPD/LOW CHANCE OF ANY TYPE OF DELAY(S) A light, showery rain will fall at times today in the Gateway to the West. By the time scheduled 1st pitch rolls around for COL at STL, the rain should be gone with only a few leftover showers to possibly affect them. Here is the 8 PM simulated radar: EXTREMELY LOW CHANCE OF A PPD; LOW CHANCE OF ANY TYPE OF DELAY(S)   Good Hitting Environments: -NYY at AZ will see warm temperatures that help batted balls travel well. -TEX at OAK will see warmer than normal temperatures and...
