DFS NBA Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Sunday, 12/11
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Sunday, 12/11/22 It's been a strange week of basketball. If you played that Saturday slate, you know exactly what I'm talking about. Teams like Brooklyn and Utah rested almost every player in the rotation, and both of those clubs played competitive outings. There's always a ton of value in circumstances like that, but it's impossible to know that until hours before tip. That's why it's up to you guys to zone in on injury reports because things change quickly in this racket. That's why these articles are a baseline for you and why they should be a building block in your extensive research that needs to be done before submitting lineups! Head on for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our MLB Optimizer, and NHL Projections. Plus, our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Trae Young FD - $9700 DK - $10400 Opponent - CHI Proj Pts FD - 55.51 DK - 59.71 Young has had a "down" year by his standards, but he's still averaging 28 points and 10 assists per game. That's why he's a perennial All-Star and why he's one of the best options with Dejounte Murray sidelined. That's forcing Young into a monster role, posting a 42 percent usage rate with Murray off the floor. That would be the highest rate in the NBA, which is scary since he's averaging 1.6 DK points per minute in those circumstances. That would equate to 65 DraftKings points if he plays 40 minutes, which is incredible since Trae tallied 65 fantasy points in his most recent matchup with the Bulls. Davion Mitchell FD - $4000 DK - $3800 Opponent - NY Proj Pts FD - 25.26 DK - 25.66 If De'Aaron Fox misses this game, Mitchell is the best value play on the board. It's rare to find a starting point guard at $4,000, especially one who's always been productive when given the opportunity. Davion has started in 21 games at point guard since the start of last season, averaging 33 fantasy points per game across 37 minutes a night. You usually see production like that from a $7K player, and it's hard to understand why Mitchell remains so cheap. Facing the Knicks is the best part of this, though, with New York owning a 27th OPRK against opposing point guards this season. If Fox is out,...
Daily Fantasy DraftKings and FanDuel NBA Picks – Wednesday, December 7, 2022
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Wednesday, 12/7/22 It's been a wild week. We've had LeBron James, Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, Damian Lillard, Pascal Siakam, and James Harden all return in the last week. Having so many superstars return simultaneously is strange, but it's exciting for NBA fans. We've had a fair share of studs go down as well, which will play a huge factor in this article. With that in mind, let's start with one of the most exciting players in the NBA. Head on over for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our MLB Optimizer, and NHL Projections as well. Plus, our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Ja Morant FD - $9600 DK - $10600 Opponent - OKC Proj Pts FD - 50.93 DK - 52.52 Ja has taken his game to another level in the absence of Desmond Bane. That's increased his shot attempts, minutes, and usage, flirting with a 40 percent usage rate when Bane is sidelined. That's led to Morant scoring at least 42 DraftKings points in 12 straight games, generating a 51-point average in that span. That's the best stretch of his career, and it should continue against Oklahoma City. The Thunder rank 28th in points allowed while possessing one of the worst rosters in the NBA. Ja missed 15 of his 20 shots against OKC in their one matchup this year but still had 47 fantasy points. Imagine what he could do if he gets hot! Jordan Poole FD - $5900 DK - $6500 Opponent - UTA Proj Pts FD - 38.5 DK - 40.57 Poole is going to be in everyone's lineup, but this is chalk you have to swallow. Stephen Curry and Draymond Green have both been ruled out already, forcing Poole into a start and a primary playmaking role. With those two off the floor, Poole has a 32.4 percent usage rate while averaging 1.1 DK points per minute. Poole is averaging 38 DraftKings points per game across 33 minutes a night in his six starts this season. Most of those have been without Chef Curry, and Poole will be happy to take over cooking duties in his absence. Utah is far from a problematic matchup, allowing the second-most fantasy points to opposing guards this season. Fred VanVleet (FD $7600 DK $7100) is too good to be this cheap. He's been horrible over the last two...
DFS NBA Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Sunday, 12/4
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Sunday, 12/4/22 The injuries have been awful this season, but we're starting to turn things around. We've had a multitude of All-Stars return this week, and more are right around the corner. That can cause some chaos from a DFS perspective, but it's imperative to capitalize on these moves and adjust your process as quickly as possible. We feel like we've done that here, so let's start with one of the most exciting players in the NBA. Head on over for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our MLB Optimizer, and NHL Projections as well. Plus, our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! First time with NBA or NFL? Read our free NBA and NFL Ebooks on building lineups, general strategy, and more. We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Ja Morant FD - $9900 DK - $10500 Opponent - DET Proj Pts FD - 49.4 DK - 50.69 Morant is the most exciting player in the NBA. He's become even better with Desmond Bane (toe) sidelined, posting a 37 percent usage rate with Bane off the floor this year. That's led to Ja scoring at least 41 DraftKings points in 13 of his last 14 games, totaling a 47-point average in that span. He's also flashed a 73-point upside this year, scoring at least 57 fantasy points on six occasions. We believe one of those ceiling games is in play against this disastrous Detroit defense, with the Pistons ranked 29th in both defensive efficiency and points allowed. The minutes, usage, and shot attempts are all up with Bane out, making Ja one of the safest plays on the slate. Cameron Payne FD - $6800 DK - $6900 Opponent - SA Proj Pts FD - 34.38 DK - 35.54 Payne has been phenomenal when filling in for Chris Paul over the last two years. In 12 starts for CP3 last season, Payne provided a 34-point average across 30 minutes a night. He's made precisely 12 starts for Paul again this year, averaging 33 DK points per game across 32 minutes a night. It's obviously a trend at this point, and it's hard to understand why he's still below $7,000 on both sites. He's also coming off a season-high 49 DraftKings points in his most recent outing and has the best matchup in fantasy here. San Antonio sits dead last in points allowed and defensive efficiency. Tyrese Haliburton (FD $9400 DK $9100) is leading the NBA in assists and should go nuts against a defensively inept Portland backcourt. Shooting...
DFS NBA Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Wednesday, 11/30
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Wednesday, 11/30/22 We could be in for a wild slate here. We have 26 of the 30 NBA teams taking the floor, leaving us with one of the largest player pools of the season. With large player pools come lengthy injury reports. We have dozens of big-name players missing out today, and more will be coming. With that in mind, let's kick things off with the point guards. Head on over for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our MLB Optimizer, and NHL Projections as well. Plus, our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Jamal Murray FD - $7100 DK - $7200 Opponent - HOU Proj Pts FD - 36.44 DK - 37.33 Murray got off to a slow start in his return from ACL surgery, but he's been rolling recently. The Nuggets point guard has at least 33 DraftKings points in 10 of his last 11 games, scoring 45 fantasy points in three of his last four. That's the bubble Murray we saw a few years ago, and he was approaching a five-figure price tag when he played like that in Orlando. One of those 45-point gems came against the Rockets, which is no surprise since they rank 24th in points allowed and 28th in defensive efficiency while surrendering the most fantasy points to opposing PGs. He also did that damage in just 25 minutes in that blowout, and it'd be scary to see the line he could post in his usual 35 minutes. De'Anthony Melton FD - $6200 DK - $7600 Opponent - CLE Proj Pts FD - 34.94 DK - 34.41 Um, why did these DFS sites drop Melton's price? It has to be because of the return of Joel Embiid, but that doesn't really matter. The Sixers are still missing Tyrese Maxey and James Harden, leaving Melton with as many backcourt minutes as he can handle. The stat-stuffer has scored at least 23 DK points in 13 of his last 15 games, generating a 32-point average in that span. That's all you can ask for from a player in this price range, and it should continue with Harden and Maxey's monster usage sitting on the sidelines. He's also flashed a 40-point upside four times over the last three weeks, and he can do that anytime with his elite per-minute averages. Tyrese Haliburton (FD $9600...
DFS NBA Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Sunday, 11/27
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Sunday, 11/27/22 The injuries have run rampant through the NBA this season. It looks like half the league is on the injury report right now, and you have to work extra hard to figure out these rotations this season. We surely have more absences happening here, with Philly's shorthanded roster taking the floor. The good news is that we only have one team in the second half of a back-to-back set, which should help us avoid too much resting. We'll also offer up all value plays below $10K because you know that studs like Luka Doncic and Giannis Antetokounmpo are the best plays on the board. These recommendations should allow you to squeeze in those studs, which is the most important thing on a slate like this. Point Guard Shake Milton FD - $7000 DK - $6600 Opponent - ORL Proj Pts FD - 35.79 DK - 37.08 We've always loved Milton's game, and it's nice to see him get a starting job with Tyrese Maxey and James Harden both going down. That's forced Milton into four straight starts at point guard, scoring at least 29 DraftKings points in five consecutive games. Shake is also scoring over 40 DK points per game in that span and is loving this newfound 40-minute role. Any player who's a primary ball-handler and playing 40 minutes should never be this cheap, especially since he dropped 56 fantasy points on this Orlando defense just a few nights ago. That's far from surprising, with the Magic owning a 27th OPRK against opposing guards. Reggie Jackson FD - $5500 DK - $5200 Opponent - IND Proj Pts FD - 28.79 DK - 30.48 Jackson got off to a rough start this season, but he's been cruising recently. Like Milton, Jackson has been stepping up with the Clippers two best players sidelined. That happens to be Paul George and Kawhi Leonard, leaving Jackson with 35 minutes, 15-20 shots, and a 25 percent usage rate. That's the role we saw from Jackson when he was a $7,000 player last season, and he's been playing at that level for two weeks now....
