Point Guard Russell Westbrook FD - $10300 DK - $9400Opponent - GSProj Pts FD - 53.78 DK - 56.55 It's hard to understand why Westbrook has seen such a stark fall off in price this year. It was easy to see why at the beginning of the year with the unknown of James Harden's usage but Russ has essentially been the same player the first three weeks. That's evident when you see that he's averaging 21.2 points, 9.8 rebounds, 9.2 assists and 1.8 steals per game. This is a guy who was $12,000 last season on both sites with similar averages and we have to like him in this $10,000 price range against a Warriors defense who ranks dead-last in defensive rating. Golden State is also playing a top-half pace to start the season and it's easy to see why this game has such a high total.   Malcolm Brogdon FD - $9000 DK - $8100Opponent - WASProj Pts FD - 46.43 DK - 47.11 Brogdon is the early front-runner for Most Improved Player and it's truly amazing just how well this guy is performing. So far this season, Brodgon is averaging 22.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, 9.7 assists and 1.3 steals per game. That makes him a Top-10 fantasy option and he's still too cheap with those sorts of numbers in his back pocket.  It's really no surprise when you see that this team is missing Victor Oladipo, Myles Turner and Domantas Sabonis too, opening up a ton of usage for Brodgon. The matchup is stupendous too, with Washington ranked 27th in defensive efficiency. All this doesn't even take into consideration that Brogdon collected 31 points, five rebounds and eight assists on Tuesday.  Ky Bowman has been starting for the Warriors and is easily one of the best value plays on the board.    Shooting Guard RJ Barrett FD - $7000 DK - $6700Opponent - DETProj Pts FD - 35.17 DK - 36.8 It's hard to overlook anytime a coach is playing a guy 40 minutes a game. That's what we have here with Barrett, playing over 37 minutes per so far this season. That happens to be the fifth-highest total in...

FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks – Saturday, 11/2/19

FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Saturday, 11/2/19 Welcome to my first article of the NBA season! I'm ecstatic to be back at it with DFSR and we have some great picks for you on this Saturday slate. The Joel Embiid-Karl-Anthony Towns fight has opened up a ton of value on this slate and that's going to be the focus of this article. With that in mind, let's start off with the leading scorer in the NBA.Head on over a for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our NFL Optimizer and NHL Projections as well. Point Guard Kyrie Irving FD - $10100 DK - $9300Opponent - DETProj Pts FD - 51.26 DK - 52.55 It's hard to fade Irving the way he's playing right now and it really doesn't make any sense why he's below $10,000 on DraftKings. Not only is he currently the leading scorer in the NBA, he's also averaging 35.3 points, 6.0 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 1.5 steals for the season. That makes him one of the Top-5 fantasy producers in the NBA right now and it's no surprise when you see that he's got a 36 percent usage rate while averaging 25 shots per game. Facing Detroit is not worrisome either, as they'll be starting an undersized Tim Frazier at PG against him.  Ricky Rubio FD - $6500 DK - $6500Opponent - MEMProj Pts FD - 33.64 DK - 34.01 Rubio appears to be back to his triple-double ways and I'd argue that he should be $1,000 more on each site. So far this season, Rubio is averaging 11 points, 6.8 rebounds, 8.8 assists and 2.0 steals per game. That's way too much production from a player priced this cheaply and we love him in a matchup like this. Not only does Memphis allow the second-most fantasy points to opposing point guards this season, they also play at the fastest pace in the NBA as well.  Also Consider Jamal Murray against an aging D.J. Augustin. Shooting Guard Khris Middleton FD - $7300 DK - $7100Opponent - TORProj Pts FD - 36.89 DK - 38.54 With Giannis Antetokounmpo taking most of the usage in Milwaukee, Middleton is always undervalued. That's just the case here, with Middleton averaging 35.5 DK points per game this season. That's the player we've become accustomed to throughout his Bucks tenure...

ALDS Preview: Yankees vs. Twins

Posted by on Oct 3, 2019 in Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks, DraftKings MLB Picks, FanDuel MLB Picks, News, Season Long MLB | 0 comments

We’re going to take a different approach here. What we’re going to do is breakdown this series by position. This should be the highest-scoring series of the divisional round, as we have two elite offenses facing two questionable pitching staffs. These teams actually combined for over 600 homers this season, which is simply absurd. I’d actually argue that these are the two worst pitching staffs in the playoffs, so let’s start off with those guys.  Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NFL and MLB optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers  James Paxton (NYY): Paxton got off to a terrible start this season but he’s been much better over recent weeks. Over his last seven starts, Paxton is pitching to a 1.69 ERA, 0.83 WHIP and 10.8 K.9 rate. The only worrisome factor about him is the fact that he left his last start due to lower body soreness but he’s fully expected to pitch in this series, maybe even Game 1.  Masahiro Tanaka (NYY): The Japanese import has had a frustrating season for Yankee fans, posting a 4.45 ERA and 1.25 WHIP. What’s really worrisome is the fact that he’s facing a lineup who set the MLB record for most home runs, with Tanaka allowing at least 25 dingers in three-straight years.   Luis Severino (NYY): This dude may be the dark horse of this series. After posting a 3.18 ERA and 1.09 WHIP between 2017-18, he pitched to a 1.50 ERA and 1.00 WHIP in his three starts this season. The late-season return from injury limited his pitch count but throwing 72 pitches in his last start indicates that he’s almost ready for a full workload. That’s bad news for a righty-heavy Twins lineup.   Jake Odorizzi (MIN): Odorizzi has been the Twins best pitcher in 2019, posting a 3.51 ERA and 1.21 WHIP. This is a guy who has no playoff experience though and allowed nine runs in his last start against these Yankees.   Jose Berrios (MIN): While Berrios looked like a breakout early on in 2019, he really struggled late. In fact, Berrios pitched to a 5.83 ERA and 1.52 WHIP over his final 10 starts. That’s truly scary against one of the best lineups in baseball.   Twins Third Starter: This may be a bullpen game with guys like Kyle Gibson, Martin Perez and Randy Dobnak filling the void. Dobnak is actually the only one who had a decent year but it’s scary that Minnesota will have to make decisions like these against the Bronx Bombers.   Bullpens: While these are two good bullpens, the Yankees backend simply can't be matched by anyone. These guys are downright scary. That’s why...

ALDS Preview: Astros vs. Rays

Posted by on Oct 3, 2019 in Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks, DraftKings MLB Picks, FanDuel MLB Picks, News, Season Long MLB | 0 comments

It’s unfair for anyone to face the Astros right now. This team is so stacked and it’s why many experts have them pegged as the clear-cut favorite to win the World Series. It’s easy to see why they’re such big favorites when analyzing their roster, so let’s go ahead and get into that.   Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NFL and MLB optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Houston Astros  Starters  Justin Verlander: Not much needs to be said about the future Hall-of-Famer. This dude has a 2.58 ERA, 0.80 WHIP and 35.4 percent K rate this season, which is pretty much on par with what he's been doing for over a decade. Those absurd numbers make him scary against anyone and he’ll surely be in top form in yet another playoff run.  Gerrit Cole: What if I told you that Verlander was not the best pitcher on this staff. Some would argue that it’s this guy, with Cole having a breakout season. Not only did the right-hander lead the league with 326 strikeouts, he also matched it with a 2.50 ERA and 0.89 WHIP. He was even better in the second half, posting a 1.51 ERA, 0.71 WHIP and 14.1 K.9 rate over his final 14 starts.   Zack Greinke: Jeez, it’s scary that the Astros added this dude to their already stacked pitching staff. Greinke was in the midst of another brilliant season before coming over to Houston, as he finished the year with a 2.93 ERA and 0.98 WHIP. That would make him the best pitcher on any pitching staff but he’ll go ahead and slot in for Game 3 in this series.   Bullpen  Look for these three starters to take care of most innings but their bullpen isn't too shabby either. Will Harris, Bruce Rondon and Ryan Pressly will carve out the middle innings while Roberto Osuna will be closing out games. That makes this the most dangerous pitching staff in the league and it’s no wonder that no one wants to face them.   Lineup  It would be one thing to have a pitching staff like this with an average lineup but this may be the best hitting core in baseball too. George Springer leading things off is truly scary, with the slugging outfielder posting a .393 OBP and .974 OPS this season. That pairs beautifully with Jose Altuve in the two-hole, with the little man having yet another stellar season. Michael Brantley hitting third is consistency at its finest, with the lefty outfielder hitting .300 pretty much every year. Alex Bregman is no joke in...

Braves-Cardinals NLDS Preview

Posted by on Oct 2, 2019 in Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks, DraftKings MLB Picks, FanDuel MLB Picks, featured, News, Uncategorized | 0 comments

This is a fascinating series. We have two of the hottest teams in the league matching up and it should make for a fun series. I’ll go ahead and throw my hat in the ring on the Braves because I truly think they have the better roster. If you go position by position, there’s actually not much in favor of the Cardinals. The only real advantage is playoff experience but many of those guys are over the hill. Players like Adam Wainwright and Yadier Molina may give them an edge mentally but it hurts them just as much on the field with their ineffective play. The odds don’t really put much between these teams though, with Atlanta coming into this series as a –160 favorite to advance. With that in mind, let’s take a deeper look at the specific matchups.   Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NFL and MLB optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitching   If there’s one pitcher you’d want in this series, it’s Jack Flaherty. The Cardinals righty has been the best pitcher in baseball since the break and it’s frightening just how good he’s been recently. Over his last 16 starts, Flaherty is pitching to a 0.93 ERA, 0.70 WHIP and 11.0 K.9 rate. Holy Crap, I knew those numbers were good but woah! That’s bad news for the Braves but they have a pitcher of their own who’s feeling it. Mike Foltynewicz has been dominant since being sent to the minors, posting a 1.73 ERA and 0.84 WHIP over his last seven starts. That’s the stud that we saw last season and the Braves have to hope that he continues that form here.   Atlanta also has a rookie who’s been showing out this season, with Mike Soroka pitching to a 2.68 ERA and 1.11 WHIP. That may garner him an NL Rookie of the Year award and these two righties spell bad news for the Cards. The main reason for that is because St. Louis sends out a ton of righties, but we’ll go over that more in our lineup section. To finish off the pitchers, the Cardinals will likely send out Miles Mikolas, Dakota Hudson and Adam Wainwright while the Braves will have Dallas Keuchel and either Julio Teheran or Max Fried. What’s funny about all of these guys is that they have low K rates. That’s bad news against potent lineups like this and we may be looking at high-scoring games when these guys toe the rubber.  Plays: Flaherty vs. ATL and Soroka/Foltynewicz vs. STL   Fades: Wainwright vs. ATL and Teheran/Keuchel...
