In fact, we have just one Sunday remaining in the year but it is the dreaded final day of the regular season. Things should remain relatively normal for this one though and that's all we can ask for as DFS players. With that in mind, let's get to our favorite pitchers of the slate. Pitchers Carlos Carrasco FD - P 9900 DK - SP 10400 Opponent - DET (Matthew Boyd) Park - DET FD - 40.72 DK - 22.4 A 2-4 record doesn't necessarily look very good but a 3.27 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 10.3 K/9 rate is pretty much what we expect from Cookie Carrasco. He's actually been even better over recent years, amassing a 3.43 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 30 percent K rate since 2015. The best part about using him today is this matchup though, facing a Detroit team who owns the worst K rate in the Majors while sitting 25th in OBP and 23rd in runs scored. That's why he and the Indians enter this matchup as a -200 favorite, with the Tigers projected for less than four runs. Jose Urquidy FD - P 6500 DK - SP 7300 Opponent - ARI (Madison Bumgarner) Park - HOU FD - 23.71 DK - 12.36 This is honestly some of the worst pricing I've seen all season. I expected to see Uequidy in the $8,000s on both sites but he remains way too cheap. I say that because he has a 2.70 ERA and 0.90 WHIP in three starts this season. That stellar form carries over from last year too, with Urquidy allowing one run or fewer in six of his final seven starts last season. All of that doesn't even take into consideration this superb matchup, facing a Diamondbacks club that ranks 28th in both runs scored and OBP while sitting 29th in wOBA. It has Urquidy and the Astros entering this matchup as a -210 favorite. We also think Max Scherzer could roll over Miami in Marlins Park, and he's an obvious big money option as usual. Catcher/First Base Freddie Freeman FD - 1B 4100 DK - 1B 5600 Opponent - NYM (Rick Porcello) Park - NYM FD - 13.03 DK - 9.79 Freeman is the hottest player in baseball and he's going to remain in these articles until he cools off. Over the last 14 games, FF has...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Saturday 9/19/20

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Saturday 9/19/20 Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB and NBA optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Friday's slate was full of big production and it was a solid day here at DFSR. Things are going to get tougher and tougher as the season finishes though and it should make for some fascinating slates. With that in mind, let's go ahead and get into it! Pitchers Andrew Heaney FD - P 8500 DK - SP 8300 Opponent - TEX (Lance Lynn) Park - LAA FD - 35.87 DK - 19.81 This price really surprised me. Heaney was my first inclination before I even opened up DraftKings and I figured he'd be about $10,000. I was obviously ecstatic to see that he was sitting around $8,500 on both sites, in the best matchup possible. We'll start with that opposition, with the Rangers sitting 29th in both wOBA and OBP while scoring the fewest runs in the league. That's brilliant news for a guy like Heaney, who's got a 2.36 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 9.4 K/9 rate over his last four starts. Charlie Morton FD - P 7600 DK - SP 7400 Opponent - BAL (Jorge López) Park - BAL FD - 37.28 DK - 20.49 It's strange to see Morton priced so cheaply. The reason for that is because he just came off the IL and has been seeing limited pitch counts since then. The good news for us is that he's approaching a full workload, throwing 77 pitches in his last start against Boston. That means we could be looking at somewhere between 80-90 pitches here which is all we can hope for from a guy this talented. We're talking about a dude who posted a 3.05 ERA and 1.06 WHIP last season, striking out 240 batters across 194.2 innings of action. That's fantastic news when you consider that Baltimore has lost nine of their last 11 games, scoring one run or fewer in seven of those. That has Tampa enters this matchup as a -185 favorite. Catcher/First Base Freddie Freeman FD - 1B 4000 DK - 1B 5700 Opponent - NYM (David Peterson) Park - NYM FD - 12.84 DK - 9.65 This guy is absolutely ridiculous right now. Over his last 27 games played, Freeman has a .420 OBP, .532 OBP, .780 SLG and 1.312 OPS. That doesn't even take into consideration his three hits and two doubles on Friday, making him the hottest hitter in baseball. Its certainly not a matchup we're concerned with either, with Peterson amassing...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Friday 9/18/20

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Friday 9/18/20 Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB and NBA optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! It sounds crazy to say but we only have one Friday slate after this. We all knew this season would fly by but this has been a 40-yard sprint to the finish line. The good news is that most teams are still alive and that shouldn't cause anything too wacky yet. Next week might get nuts in terms of lineups and pitchers but everything should be normal for now. With that in mind, let's go ahead and get into it! Pitchers Zack Greinke FD - P 9500 DK - SP 10100 Opponent - ARI (Zac Gallen) Park - HOU FD - 36.5 DK - 19.19 I'm not so sure if this is more about Greinke or the Diamondbacks. We'll go ahead and start with that matchup, facing an Arizona club that ranks 27th in runs scored, 29th in OBP and 28th in wOBA. What's scary is that they've been even worse over the last month, making them the worst offense around. That's fantastic news for Greinke, who's got a 3.10 ERA and 1.10 WHIP over the last decade. His 1.06 WHIP this season is a good indicator that he hasn't lost a step and the -175 money line and 7.5-run total are even more encouraging signs. Chris Paddack FD - P 8200 DK - SP 8800 Opponent - SEA (Yusei Kikuchi) Park - SEA FD - 38.18 DK - 21.02 Paddack has been a slight disappointment for the Padres this season but this is a great spot for him to succeed. We're still talking about a pitcher who has a 3.69 ERA and 1.04 WHIP for his career, matching that with a 27 percent K rate. All of that makes him very enticing against a team like the Mariners, who rank 23rd in runs scored, 22nd in OBP and 25th in K rate. We also don't hate the fact that he's a -180 favorite in one of the most pitcher-friendly ballparks in baseball. If you're feeling risky, you can ride Carlos Martinez against a Pirates offense who's equally as bad as the Diamondbacks. Catcher/First Base Luke Voit FD - 1B 4300 DK - 1B 5300 Opponent - BOS (Martin Pérez) Park - BOS FD - 13.14 DK - 9.86 Anytime the Yankees face a left-hander, they're the best stack of the day. In fact, if I were a lefty facing this lineup, I'd probably complain about my elbow during warm-up. Anyway, one of the...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Sunday 9/13/20 Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB and NBA optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! We have a strange slate ahead of us here. While almost everyone is playing during the day, the games are all spread out. What's also interesting is how small these prize pools are. The main reason for that is because the NFL is kicking off but we still need our baseball fix. With that in mind, let's get into it! Pitchers You can't go too wrong with the big money guys: Max Scherzer and Charlie Morton. But you know about those guys already, so I figured I'd write up a few guys who might be more off your radar. Frankie Montas FD - P 6800 DK - SP 9400 Opponent - TEX (Lance Lynn) Park - TEX FD - 34.66 DK - 18.37 Man, it's tough to ride a guy with a 5.73 ERA and 1.54 WHIP but Montas is in a great spot to succeed here. The reason we say that is because he gets to face the Rangers. This offense currently ranks dead-last in runs scored, 22nd in K rate and 29th in wOBA. That's the perfect opportunity for Montas to have a rebound start, coming off one of his best starts of the season. This is a guy who's shown ace capability in the past too, maintaining a 2.63 ERA and 1.11 WHIP last season. Vegas appears to like him too, making him a -140 favorite in game with a total of 8. Fantastic buy low opportunity on FanDuel. Brad Keller FD - P 8100 DK - SP 6800 Opponent - PIT (Chad Kuhl) Park - KC FD - 30.27 DK - 14.49 This DraftKings price blows my mind. Anytime anyone faces the Pirates, they should be one of the highest-priced pitchers on the slate. The reason for that is because they currently rank 29th in runs scored, 25th in K rate and dead-last in both wOBA and OPS. That's fantastic news for Keller, who's pitching to a 2.60 ERA and 1.10 WHIP in what's become a breakout season. That obviously makes him one of the best values of the day, entering this matchup as a -141 favorite, with a total of 8.5. Catcher/First Base Luke Voit FD - 1B 3900 DK - 1B 5400 Opponent - BAL (John Means) Park - NYY FD - 12.17 DK - 9.13 This is easily one of the best plays of the day. We'll start things off by talking about his matchup, facing a...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Friday 9/11/20 Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB and NBA optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! There are only two weeks left in the regular season and these games are getting really important. That means it's time to ride stud pitchers to some wins and that's big for us DFS players. That's why we're going to kick things off with one of the hottest pitchers in the league, so, let's get into it! Pitchers Lucas Giolito FD - P 10800 DK - SP 10500 Opponent - DET (Casey Mize) Park - CHW FD - 41.86 DK - 22.64 Giolito is someone who I was skeptical about at the beginning of the season but he has completely changed my mind with his ridiculous 2020 season. Despite struggling against the Twins in the opener, Giolito has a 2.29 ERA, 0.88 WHIP and 12.7 K/9 rate over his last eight starts. Those are Cy Young-like numbers and it's scary to think that he gets to face a Tigers team that owns the worst K rate in the Majors. In his one start against them earlier this season, Giolito pitched seven scoreless innings while striking out 13 batters en route to an absurd 70 FanDuel points. That's why he's a -260 favorite in this game. Caleb Smith FD - P 7100 DK - SP 5900 Opponent - SEA (Yusei Kikuchi) Park - ARI FD - 37.69 DK - 19.7 Smith was just acquired by Arizona in the Starling Marte trade and he could be a huge piece for this rotation in the coming years. Between 2018-19, Smith amassed a 4.41 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 26.5 percent K rate. That might not sound like anything special but that WHIP and K rate indicates that he's better than that ERA. That makes him a really intriguing option at this price, as he truly has 40-point potential in any given start. Facing the Mariners is a good way to get him a quality start, with Seattle sitting 20th in K rate, 21st in runs scored, 24th in OBP and 25th in wOBA. You may be worried about Smith's workload too but he threw over 70 pitches in his last intrasquad game earlier in the week. Catcher/First Base José Abreu FD - 1B 3900 DK - 1B 5500 Opponent - DET (Casey Mize) Park - CHW FD - 13.43 DK - 10.21 Abreu should be the highest-priced player on the slate the way he's seeing the ball and he's not even Top-5. Not only does the big man...
