DFS NBA Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Sunday, 2/6
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Sunday, 2/6/23 We're winding down to the All-Star break, and you can sense that some of these players need a break. We've seen a few scuffles over the last week, and the tension is palpable with the trade deadline right around the corner. That does make things fun from a fan perspective, but it can be frustrating to lose players in DFS due to stupid non-basketball decisions. I've been fortunate to avoid that thus far, but chaos is inevitable in NBA DFS. Head on over for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our MLB Optimizer, and NHL Projections as well. Plus, our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Jamal Murray FD - $8300 DK - $8000 Opponent - MIN Proj Pts FD - 38.26 DK - 39.64 As someone who has torn their ACL, it's no surprise that it took Murray so long to return to his bubble form. He's looking like Bubble Murray right now though, scoring at least 33 DraftKings points in 11 straight games. He's also got at least 41 DK points in nine of those, generating a 44-point average in that span. That's usually what you see from a $9K player, and it's clear these sites have some price adjustments to do with Murray amid a resurgence. He's also got at least 48 fantasy points in three straight outings and could reach that again versus a Minnesota team that ranks fifth in pace and 20th in total defense. In their matchup two weeks ago, Murray amassed 41 DK points in another masterpiece! D'Angelo Russell FD - $7400 DK - $7200 Opponent - DEN Proj Pts FD - 33.83 DK - 35.11 Not enough people are talking about how good Russell has been. The former All-Star has seen a bump in minutes, shot attempts, and usage since Karl-Anthony Towns went down, averaging over 35 DK points per game since the big man got injured. He's been even better over recent weeks, scoring at least 36 fantasy points in eight of his last nine games. D-Lo also dropped a season-high 58 DraftKings points in his most recent outing and could be asked to do everything here with Minnesota possibly missing Kyle Anderson, Jaden McDaniels, Austin Rivers, and Taurean Prince after that scuffle on Friday. It's not like Denver is a daunting matchup either, owning a 25th...
DFS NBA Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Wednesday, 2/1
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Wednesday, 2/1/23 This is always an interesting stretch in the season. We're less than two weeks away from the All-Star game, and this is when some bizarre things happen. Players randomly end up on the injury report, and we're finally about to get some trades. Those factors always cause chaos for DFS, if there isn't enough to worry about already! Head on for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our MLB Optimizer, and NHL Projections. Plus, our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. Point Guard De'Aaron Fox FD - $8600 DK - $8200 Opponent - SA Proj Pts FD - 41.81 DK - 42.83 Fox has developed into one of my favorite players this season. He's one of the few guards who's better inside the paint than out of it, and it's scary to think how good this guy can be if he develops a better shot. In any case, Fox is averaging 41 DraftKings points per game, scoring at least 46 fantasy points in four of his last five games. The recent surge makes him really enticing against San Antonio, sitting dead last in both points allowed and defensive efficiency. They're also allowing the third-most fantasy points to opposing point guards, with Fox averaging 38 DK points per game against them. We expect that to be his floor with the way he's rolling. D'Angelo Russell FD - $7000 DK - $7100 Opponent - GS Proj Pts FD - 39.87 DK - 41.5 Russell has been a regular in this section because these DFS sites refuse to raise his price. It's hard to understand why because the lefty is playing some of the best basketball of his career since Karl-Anthony Towns got injured. That's skyrocketed his shot attempts and usage, averaging 35 fantasy points per game since the big man went down. D-Lo has also scored at least 36 DK points in six of his last seven games, posting a 39-point average in that span. We expect him to build off of that average against Golden State, who rank 26th in points allowed while surrendering the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing guards. Chris Paul (FD $8300 DK $8300) is doing everything in Phoenix with Devin Booker, and Cameron Payne sidelined and should annihilate a horrible Hawks defense. Shooting Guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander FD - $10700 DK - $10200 Opponent - HOU...
DFS NBA Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Sunday, 1/29
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Sunday, 1/29/23 It's been an awesome week of basketball, but we're looking at a limited slate here. We only have four games on this Sunday slate, with three making up the main card. We'll key in on those three games, but there are still some great options. The reason for the short card is that the NBA doesn't want to compete with the NFL for viewership, but we still have you covered for DFS in both sports! With that in mind, let's dive into this NBA Sunday slate! Head on over for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our MLB Optimizer, and NHL Projections as well. Plus, our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Ja Morant FD - $10000 DK - $10200 Opponent - IND Proj Pts FD - 48.86 DK - 50.68 Morant has been one of the best point guards in the NBA this season, and we have to love him in this spot. Memphis has already ruled out Desmond Bane for this game, which should add more usage to Morant's massive plate. With Bane off the floor this season, Morant has a team-leading 36 percent usage rate while averaging over 1.5 DK points per minute. That's an absurd rate, equating to nearly 60 fantasy points if he plays the 35-40 minutes we anticipate. That's not far off of his 49-point average for the year, and we certainly don't mind that he plays a Pacers team that ranks 25th in both points allowed and defensive efficiency. Darius Garland FD - $8900 DK - $8800 Opponent - LAC Proj Pts FD - 47.57 DK - 49.42 It's been fun watching Garland take over this offense in the absence of Donovan Mitchell. He's got a usage rate north of 30 percent with DM off the floor, posting some of his best lines of the season without the All-Star. Not only did DG drop a career-high 69 DraftKings points without Mitchell earlier in the season, but he also has 63 and 53 fantasy points in the last two games without him as well. He's now played nine games without Mitchell and is averaging about 45 fantasy points per game. That's no surprise with the boost in minutes and shot attempts which is fantastic since Garland gobbled up 19 points and 12 assists in his last meeting with the Clippers....
DFS NBA Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Wednesday 1/25/23
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Wednesday, 1/25/23 I'm writing this at the end of this Lakers-Clippers game, and it's crazy just how good these offenses are nowadays. The Clippers are about to shoot 60 percent from the field and 50 percent from three, which is strangely not a rare occurrence in today's basketball. LeBron James also set a career-high with nine threes, and it's just wild watching these offenses go crazy night after night. We're surely going to have some of that here because we have 10 games in action! Head on over for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our MLB Optimizer, and NHL Projections as well. Plus, our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. Point Guard T.J. McConnell FD - $6700 DK - $6000 Opponent - ORL Proj Pts FD - 38.87 DK - 38.52 There will always be a sweet spot in my heart for McConnell because he was a key piece to my largest cash ever. That's just what this guy does, though, because he always steps up when Indiana needs him to fill in. He's starting at point guard now that Tyrese Haliburton is injured, scoring at least 36 DraftKings points in six of his last eight games. McConnell has also maintained a 38-point average in that span, and it's no surprise with the way this guy stuffs the stat sheet. That should be easy to do against Orlando, with the Magic owning a 21st OPRK against opposing guards this season. He actually played 31 minutes off the bench in their last matchup with the Magic, mauling them to the tune of 48 DraftKings points! Tre Jones FD - $6500 DK - $6200 Opponent - LAL Proj Pts FD - 32.05 DK - 31.97 This Spurs team sucks, but they have some decent pieces. Jones is not an exciting point guard, but this guy is too reliable to be sitting around $6,000 on both sites. The former Duke guard has at least 24 DraftKings points in 42 of 46 games this year, scoring at least 29 fantasy points in 11 of his last 14 games. The recent surge is no surprise since Jones is being asked to do more with Devin Vassell out, averaging 33 fantasy points per game in that span. We expect that total to be easy to reach against the Lakers, ranked third in pace and 26th...
DFS NBA Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Sunday,1/22
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Sunday, 1/22/23 This feels crazy to say, but we crossed the halfway point earlier in the week. The season always feels like it starts off with a crawl, but then it's randomly over before you know it. The All-Star break is less than a month away as well, and it'll be fun to see what these teams do prior to that trade deadline. A few teams need to make some desperate moves, and others need to rebuild for the future. We still have some time to get to that point, but it's something worth monitoring over the coming weeks! Head on over for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our MLB Optimizer, and NHL Projections as well. Plus, our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Kyrie Irving FD - $9600 DK - $10000 Opponent - GS Proj Pts FD - 46.27 DK - 47.67 Irving has always looked like one of the best players in the NBA, and he's showing that with Kevin Durant sidelined. With the former MVP off the floor this season, Kyrie has compiled a 33 percent usage rate while averaging 1.5 DK points per minute. That's on full display when you see that Irving has scored 84 and 62 DraftKings points in his last two outings. He's been remarkably consistent over the last two months, too, scoring at least 33 DK points in 20 straight games, while generating a 46-point average in that span. Those totals should be easy to reach against Golden State, who rank 26th in points allowed while surrendering the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing PGs. Jamal Murray FD - $7900 DK - $6800 Opponent - OKC Proj Pts FD - 39.59 DK - 40.8 As someone who had ACL surgery within weeks of Murray, it's been fun watching him recapture his form. This guy was one of the best players in the bubble back in 2020, and we're seeing flashes of that stud recently. Murray has at least 41 DraftKings points in four of his last five games, tallying a 38-point average across his last 14 outings. That's really all you can ask for from a $7K player, and we've seen this guy get to a $9K price tag in the past. A matchup with Oklahoma City is a good way to keep that ticker pointing up, with the Thunder...
