FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks – Tuesday 1/19/21
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Tuesday, 1/19/21 Monday's slate was amazing with games spread all throughout the day but that leaves this Tuesday very thin. In fact, we have just two games on the ledger, with many teams playing on Monday and Wednesday. What's interesting about these slates is the fact that you can't fade chalk. There's inevitably going to be a few players in almost every lineup and it's because raw points are more important than anything. Scores will be lower but we'll try to offer up some value plays to fill out an optimal lineup with those chalky studs. With that in mind, let's talk about these games! Point Guard Jamal Murray FD - $7800 DK - $7300 Opponent - OKC Proj Pts FD - 33.24 DK - 34.45 Murray has been one of the biggest disappointments for season-long fantasy players but that doesn't really matter for DFS. On the contrary, it makes him even more intriguing for DFS because his price continues to drop. We're talking about a guy who averaged about 50 fantasy points per game in last year's postseason and has the ability to be a five-figure player. He's been finding some of that form recently, scoring 40-plus DraftKings points in back-to-back games. What we really love is that he's averaging 22 shots and 38 minutes a night over his last three games and that alone makes him hard to avoid at this price tag. Mike Conley FD - $7600 DK - $6800 Opponent - NO Proj Pts FD - 35.28 DK - 36.58 Conley has been the opposite of Murray and has been a pleasant surprise for season-long fantasy players. That's definitely evident in his price, going up nearly $2,000 since the start of the season. That's even less surprising when you see that Conley is averaging 16.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 1.3 steals en route to 34.4 DK points a night for the year. That's the Conley we knew and loved in his Memphis days and it's clear he's running the offense more than Donovan Mitchell at this point. We're really not concerned with him facing an 18th-ranked Pelicans defense either. Shooting Guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander FD - $8600 DK...
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks – Friday, 1/15/21
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Friday, 1/15/21 This has been one of the craziest NBA weeks I've ever seen. It would be one thing to have a blockbuster trade between three teams but that doesn't even take into consideration that we have postponements every night. For this slate, we have two games postponed already, with the Washington-Detroit and Golden State-Phoenix games both off the slate. There could be more coming and there could be more players that miss because of COVID protocols, so do your due diligence in checking all the news before submitting lineups. Head on over a for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our MLB Optimizer and NHL Projections as well. Plus our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Trae Young FD - $8800 DK - $8700 Opponent - UTA Proj Pts FD - 45.16 DK - 48.19 We at DFSR believe that this pricing is absolutely ridiculous. Trae was closer to $10,000 throughout most of last season and we're going to have heavy exposure to him if he remains below $9K on both sites. We're talking about a guy who averaged 48 DraftKings points per game last year and is sitting at a 43-point average this season. The main reason for the small drop off was a wrist injury early on but dropping 45 fantasy points across just 25 minutes in the most recent game shows that he's just fine. Having a few days off is a treat too and Utah's defense isn't as scary as it used to be. Coby White FD - $6400 DK - $7400 Opponent - OKC Proj Pts FD - 33.72 DK - 36.19 Many people had White pegged as a breakout with the Bulls this season and they are looking right so far. This dude has been balling out in his sophomore season, averaging 17.3 points, 5.2 rebounds and 6.3 assists per game. Those are incredible averages from a kid and one has to believe he'll continue to improve as the season progresses. He's been doing that recently, scoring at least 38 DraftKings points in four of his last five games en route to a 36-point average. We love all that against a 17th-ranked Thunder defense. Eflrid Payton is still just $5,700 on FanDuel and that's way too cheap. Shooting Guard Paul George FD - $8800 DK - $9400 Opponent - SAC Proj...
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks – Thursday, 1/14/21
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Thursday, 1/14/21 If all the COVID craziness wasn't enough, let's throw in a few teams that made a blockbuster trade. That means we have Miami and Philly missing numerous players due to COVID protocols while Indiana and Houston are shorthanded because of the monster trade they made on Wednesday. That means there's a ton of value on this slate and a lot is going to change before tip. With that in mind, keep your eye on things as closely as possible! Head on over a for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our MLB Optimizer and NHL Projections as well. Plus our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Malcolm Brogdon FD - $8600 DK - $8300 Opponent - POR Proj Pts FD - 45.92 DK - 47.26 Brogdon is a regular in these articles and that proves that we're doing something right. So far this year, the Virginia product is averaging 22.5 points, 4.1 rebounds, 7.5 assists and 1.7 steals per game. That equates to 44 DraftKings points per game which means Brogdon is about $500 too cheap. What's equally as impressive is his floor, scoring at least 32 DK points in all 11 games this year. That floor should be even higher here, with Victor Oladipo being traded and T.J. Warren dealing with an injury. We haven't even discussed the best part of this play, with the Trail Blazers ranked 25th in total defense so far this year. LaMelo Ball FD - $7800 DK - $7600 Opponent - TOR Proj Pts FD - 39.47 DK - 39.9 This kid is an early frontrunner for Rookie of the Year with his amazing play and he's been doing serious damage despite coming off the bench and not playing a ton. In fact, Ball is averaging 35 fantasy points per game across 25 minutes a night. That's an incredible rate and one would have to believe his minutes and usage will only creep up as the season progresses. That doesn't even take into consideration that Gordon Hayward will likely sit here after getting injured on Wednesday, giving Ball the usage increase that we've been waiting for. We're certainly not worried about him facing a Toronto team that ranks 21st in defensive efficiency either. We also like Edmond Sumner and Aaron Holiday at their cheap price tags with Victor Oladipo and...
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks – Wednesday, 1/13/21
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Wednesday, 1/14/21 COVID has wreaked havoc on the NBA schedule so far and today is no different. We have two games that have been postponed already, with the Washington Wizards, Boston Celtics, Utah Jazz and Orlando Magic all having their games postponed. That turns a 10-game slate into an eight-game ledger, which actually makes things easier on us with so much news out there. With that in mind, let's get into it! Head on over a for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our MLB Optimizer and NHL Projections as well. Plus our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Luka Doncic FD - $11300 DK - $10800 Opponent - CHA Proj Pts FD - 55.79 DK - 58.99 Raw points are going to be critical on a slate with so much value and there may be no better bet for that than Doncic. We say that because he's been one of the league leaders in fantasy points scored since last season and has absolutely been crushing for over a week now. Over his last four games played, Doncic has scored at least 56.5 DraftKings points in all of them en route to a 67.5-point average. I don't need to tell you how absurd that is and it's scary to think how much usage he'll get here with Jalen Brunson, Josh Richardson and Maxi Kleber all sitting too. Just pay up for Doncic and build from there. Elfrid Payton FD - $5700 DK - $6600 Opponent - BKN Proj Pts FD - 34.96 DK - 35.75 Tom Thibideau is notorious for giving his starters more minutes than they can handle and that's obviously huge news for his starting point guard. That happens to be Payton, with the former Louisana alum averaging 30.6 DK points per game across 32 minutes of action over his last nine outings. That makes this FanDuel price really hard to understand, especially when you see that he has at least 24 fantasy points in each of those nine fixtures. It's not like the matchup is bad either, facing a Brooklyn team that will likely be without Kevin Durant, Spencer Dinwiddie and Kyrie Irving. Seeing Trae Young below $9K on both sites is weird after he dropped 45 DK points in just 25 minutes on Monday. Shooting Guard Eric Bledsoe FD - $5300 DK - $5800...
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks – Tuesday, 1/12/21
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Tuesday, 1/12/21 I want to start off by saying something. If you can't be at your computer or phone up until the last second before lineup lock, you shouldn't be playing DFS right now. That's always been the case with injuries and players being rested but the COVID protocols make it all the more imperative to be up on every bit of news. We actually have a matchup between the Celtics and Bulls canceled here and postponements are going to be a regular thing from here on out. So, just try to swallow up everything you hear in terms of news because that's the real edge in DFS right now. Head on over a for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our MLB Optimizer and NHL Projections as well. Plus our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Malcolm Brogdon FD - $8400 DK - $8600 Opponent - GS Proj Pts FD - 47.31 DK - 48.87 Brogdon might honestly be the most underrated player in the NBA. He's always been an elite defender but with his offense coming around, he's established himself as a legit All-Star contender. So far this year, he's averaging 23.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, 7.2 assists and 1.8 steals en route to 44.4 DraftKings points per game. What's equally as impressive is his floor, collecting at least 32 fantasy points in every game this season. That floor and 44-point average look even more satisfying when you consider that he faces a Warriors team that ranks 26th in points allowed. Dejounte Murray FD - $7500 DK - $7200 Opponent - OKC Proj Pts FD - 39.72 DK - 40.29 Murray has established himself as one of the best rebounding guards in the NBA. So far this year, he's averaging 16.1 points, 7.2 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 1.2 steals per game. With those scoring and assisting numbers coming around, it's led to him averaging 36 DK points per game for the season. That's really all you can ask for from a player barely cracking $7,000 and his role could be even bigger here with DeMar DeRozan and Derrick White sitting. If you take those two off the floor, Murray is posting a 29 percent usage rate and that's a godsend from a stat-stuffer like this. It's weird to see Jamal Murray below $7,000 and he could be...
