FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks – Thursday 2/4/21
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Thursday, 2/4/21 Sometimes, we just need to be honest. This slate sucks. I say that because there's a ton of high-priced players and not a whole lot of great value plays. That means building lineups will be more difficult than ever because predicting which star will score 60 instead of 50 is one of the hardest tasks in this racket. In any case, all five games have single-digit spreads, so it should make for a fun night of basketball anyway. We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Ja Morant FD - $7400 DK - $7600 Opponent - HOU Proj Pts FD - 41.63 DK - 41.91 Ja had a rough game on Tuesday, but what Grizzly didn't? Prior to that dud, Morant looked well on his way to a breakout season. If you take out the game where he got injured, Morant is still averaging 38 DraftKings points per game for the year. That even includes that ugly showing on Tuesday, and it's amazing just how jaw-dropping this kid can be. We love this matchup too, with Houston sitting sixth in total pace. Their defense has been amazing recently, but if we're playing at a pace like this, Morant should provide statistics at ease with his blazing speed and athleticism. In his three meetings with the Rockets last year, Ja averaged just shy of 40 fantasy points per game. John Wall FD - $7500 DK - $6900 Opponent - MEM Proj Pts FD - 37.85 DK - 38.38 Wall was actually supposed to be in this article yesterday, but we had to scratch him once he was ruled out for rest. All of the same things go here, making Wall one of the best plays on the board. We say that because the former Wizard has at least 35 DraftKings points in four-straight games. He actually did that damage in just 25.5 minutes a night, which is an absurd per-minute rate. You might be saying, "well, aren't you worried about those limited minutes?" No, because if you dig into those games, the Rockets won most of them in blowout fashion. He's actually played 30 minutes or more in over half of his games this season, and if he does...
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks – Wednesday 2/3/21
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Wednesday, 2/3/21 After just six games on Tuesday, we have a full 10-game slate here. We need to keep an eye on so many things, though, with numerous guys being ruled out already. We also have a few teams in the second half of a back-to-back, which means even more players are bound to sit. While we have some of that info now, be sure to monitor news up until first tip. With that in mind, let's get into it! Point Guard Dejounte Murray FD - $6900 DK - $6400 Opponent - MIN Proj Pts FD - 40.91 DK - 41.3 How often do you see a player projected for more than 40 points priced below $7,000? That's what we have here with Murray, and it's a wonder why many of these Spurs remain so cheap. We love him his stat-stuffing ways, averaging 14.6 points, 7.0 rebounds, 5.2 assists, and 1.3 steals per game for the season. He's one of the best rebounding guards in the NBA too, and he should be able to feast even more with LaMarcus Aldridge missing. Those big numbers have led to him scoring at least 33 DraftKings points in 10 of his last 11 games, making these price tags hard to figure. We haven't even discussed how he faces a 27th-ranked Timberwolves defense. Lonzo Ball FD - $6200 DK - $5700 Opponent - PHO Proj Pts FD - 36.03 DK - 37.26 Lonzo has been cruising recently, and it's a wonder why these DFS sites haven't taken notice. The talented point guard has scored at least 30 DK points in four of his last five games, averaging 34 fantasy points per game in that span. That's all you can ask for from a $6K player, and he's done that despite struggling with his shot. While we don't necessarily like the matchup, Ball had one of the best games of his career against the Suns in his final game against them last season. He collected 20 points, six rebounds, 11 assists, three steals, and two blocks en route to a 52-point gem. If he does that at this price, Ball will be in every optimal lineup. Speaking of the...
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks – Tuesday 2/2/21
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Tuesday, 2/2/21 Monday was almost a huge night for me. Yours truly dropped 330 in the single-entry contest on FanDuel while getting a big fat 0 from Will Barton. That was obviously very frustrating, but it's a reminder to keep an eye on the news as long as possible. I got distracted and stopped paying attention after lock, which is one of the dumbest things you can do in this racket. Detroit was the team that caused the postponement, and you need to keep an eye on them in the news because they're playing again here! We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Damian Lillard FD - $10200 DK - $10700 Opponent - WAS Proj Pts FD - 50.82 DK - 53.7 This price is getting pretty lofty, but it's almost impossible to fade this guy right now. Before getting blown out on Monday, Lillard had at least 49 DraftKings points in each of his previous six games. That directly correlates with C.J. McCollum and Jusuf Nurkic getting injured, forcing Dame to run this offense. He usually runs the offense anyway, but his 32 percent usage rate in that span is absurd. The best part about using him today is the matchup though, with Washington ranked dead-last in total defense while playing at the fastest pace in the NBA. Kemba Walker FD - $5700 DK - $6700 Opponent - GS Proj Pts FD - 32.73 DK - 33.4 Walker was already one of the league leaders with a 29 percent usage rate, and that's likely to increase with Marcus Smart out for the next few weeks. That sort of usage is crazy from a player this talented, especially with Kemba priced so affordably. He's usually priced somewhere between $7,000-$8,000, and it's just a matter of time before he gets there. Scoring at least 32 DK points in three of his last five games is a good indicator that he's starting to find his groove, and the absence of Smart might finally get him over the 30-minute threshold. We love this matchup too, with Golden State ranked 23rd in total defense this year. Ja Morant should not be below $8,000 on both sites like he is. Shooting Guard Bradley...
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks – Friday, 1/29/21
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Friday, 1/29/21 After just four games on Thursday, we have a full 10-game ledger here. What's really nice is that we have no postponements! This is one of the largest slates we've had without postponements, and it feels like all the COVID chaos is starting to simmer down a bit in NBA circles. That makes things a bit easier on us, but there's still a ton of value out there. With that in mind, let's go ahead and get into it! Head on over a for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our MLB Optimizer, and NHL Projections as well. Plus our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Reggie Jackson FD - $5800 DK - $6700 Opponent - ORL Proj Pts FD - 33.07 DK - 34.33 DFS sites are always slow to adjust to players gaining bigger roles, and that's certainly the case here with Jackson. The former Detroit PG has been forced into a monster role recently, with Paul George, Patrick Beverley and Kawhi Leonard all sidelined. In the last two games without those three guys, Jackson has collected 36 points, 15 rebounds, 14 assists, and three steals across 76 minutes of play. That's a two-game stretch you'd usually see from an $8,000 player, and it's pretty clear that he's a fantastic value in the $6K-range against a weak Orlando backcourt. Darius Garland FD - $5200 DK - $5000 Opponent - NY Proj Pts FD - 26.24 DK - 27.31 This is probably my favorite per-dollar play on the board. Garland was performing at a $7,000-level the first two weeks of the season before getting injured, and a slow ramp-up has lowered this price tag. The good news is that he's back in the starting lineup, and the minute's restriction has been limited. In his first five starts before getting injured, Garland averaged 36.3 DK points per game across 36 minutes a night. That looked like the guy we saw on Wednesday, dropping 26 fantasy points across 31 minutes of play. All of that makes this $5K price tag truly shocking, and it limits any risk that this tough matchup might present. Elfrid Payton is in the low $5,000s, and his averages are too good to be priced that cheaply. Shooting Guard Bradley Beal FD - $10500 DK - $10200 Opponent - ATL Proj Pts FD...
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks – Thursday, 1/28/21
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Thursday, 1/28/21 After one of the biggest slates of the season on Wednesday, we have just four games here. It's going to be a fun one though because we have so much value out there. Whether it's injuries or COVID protocol, there are a ton of great players not playing among these eight teams. That will surely be a major theme in this article with so many guys stepping in, so, let's go ahead and get into it! Head on over a for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our MLB Optimizer and NHL Projections as well. Plus our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Damian Lillard FD - $9700 DK - $10600 Opponent - HOU Proj Pts FD - 52.4 DK - 54.87 There's always one big-name player who's owned in every lineup on a four-game slate and it should be Dame here. We say that because he is the Trail Blazers offense right now. Portland is currently missing Jusuf Nurkic, Robert Covington and C.J. McCollum which leaves Lillard to feast. With those three off the floor this season, Lillard has a usage rate approaching 40 percent while averaging 1.4 DK points per minute. That's certainly evident when you see that Lillard has at least 50 fantasy points in four-straight coming into this matchup. We haven't even talked about that matchup yet either, with Houston sitting seventh in pace and middle of the road defensively. Reggie Jackson FD - $5000 DK - $7000 Opponent - MIA Proj Pts FD - 33.12 DK - 34.12 While this DraftKings price is a bit lofty for us, this FanDuel price is ridiculous. The simple fact is, Jackson is the go-to guy in Los Angeles right now. We say that because they're currently without Kawhi Leonard, Paul George and Patrick Beverley. That forced Reggie into the starting lineup on Tuesday, providing 20 points, seven rebounds, eight assists and two steals across 39 minutes of action. That's the guy we remember from his Detroit days and his usage should continue to be monstrous with so many big-name players out of the lineup. Miami is not the defense we used to be scared of either, ranked 21st in defensive efficiency. Delon Wright has been the primary ball-handler in Detroit and remains a good value around $6K. Shooting Guard Kendrick Nunn FD - $6200...
