DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Thursday 4/29/21

Posted by on Apr 28, 2021 in Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks, DraftKings MLB Picks, FanDuel MLB Picks, featured |

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Thursday, 4/29/21 These Thursday slates always tend to be lighter because it's a travel day for many of these clubs, and this honestly might be one of the smallest ledgers we see all year. Only five games make up this night slate that commences at 7ET, so that means the pickings are slim. What's really clear about this slate is that we have some bad pitchers toeing the rubber. There is a Cy Young winner in the bunch, though, so let's kick things off with him. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB and NBA optimizers and our new player lab! Pitchers Trevor Bauer FD - P 11000 DK - SP 11300 Opponent - MIL (Eric Lauer) Park - MIL FD - 42.56 DK - 23.38 It's hard to like Bauer as a person with some of the things he says but this dude can downright pitch. In 2020, the right-hander provided a 1.73 ERA and 0.79 WIHP en route to that Cy Young that we mentioned before. Joining the Dodgers hasn't slowed down those numbers one bit, winning three of his five starts while providing a 2.53 ERA and 0.66 WHIP. Those are truly ridiculous numbers, and it looks even crazier when you see that he has 145 strikeouts in those 105 innings. That makes him hard to fade against Milwaukee, with the Brewers sitting 29th in K rate and 22nd in wOBA. Luke Weaver FD - P 7600 DK - SP 7700 Opponent - COL (Antonio Senzatela) Park - ARI FD - 33.47 DK - 17.77 Weaver was horrible in the shortened 2020 season, but he's shown the ability to be a stopper in the past. In the year prior, Weaver posted an impressive 2.94 ERA and 1.07 WHIP. That had him in the All-Star discussion, and he's looked more like that guy this year than the one we saw in 2020. In fact, Weaver has a 1.11 WHIP through his four starts this season, allowing four runs or fewer in all of them. The best part of this play is the matchup, though. Dating back to last season, Colorado ranks dead-last in runs scored, OPS, and xwOBA on the road. That's really scary since they lost their best hitter in the offseason. All of those factors have Weaver entering this game as a -155 favorite as well. Catcher/First Base José Abreu FD - 1B 3700 DK - 1B 4800 Opponent - DET (Matthew Boyd) Park - CHW FD - 11.23 DK - 8.5 It's tough to pick guys...

FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks – Wednesday, 4/28/21

FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Wednesday, 4/28/21 Tuesday's article went pretty well, but it's a good indicator of how crazy things are in the NBA right now. While we got a few gems, a few of the picks didn't work out for unforeseen reasons. Those variables are becoming more common by the day with the season winding down to an end, and it's becoming tougher to predict who will even play at this point with so many teams tanking. Injuries have also caused mayhem on the league, and it's crazy to click on the player pool and see half the guys with injury designations. Head on over for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our MLB Optimizer, and NHL Projections as well. Plus, our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Ja Morant FD - $8100 DK - $8200 Opponent - POR Proj Pts FD - 38.92 DK - 40.43 This 21-year-old is truly one of the most talented players in the NBA, and he's in the best stretch of his career right now. The former Murray State standout has scored at least 37 DraftKings points in five straight games, providing nearly 55 fantasy points per game in that span. That's easily one of the best stretches in the league, and it makes it hard to believe that Morant remains around $8K on both sites. The best part of this play is the matchup, though, with Portland ranked 29th in defensive efficiency while surrendering the most fantasy points in the league to opposing PGs. Ja is averaging an absurd 54.4 DK points per game in their two meetings this season if you needed any more incentive. Goran Dragic FD - $5000 DK - $5400 Opponent - SA Proj Pts FD - 29.52 DK - 31.19 Dragic has been all over the map this season, but with Kendrick Nunn, Tyler Herro, and Victor Oladipo all nicked up, he could be looking at another monster night. All three of those guys sat out on Monday, and Dragic tallied eight points, six rebounds, seven assists, and three steals en route to 32 DraftKings points. That's a stellar total from a dude sitting around $5K, and he's proven to be that sort of player when given the opportunity in the past. He actually had at least 39 fantasy points in two of his previous three games before that,...

FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks – Tuesday 4/27/21

FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Tuesday, 4/27/21 We're finally getting down to the final few weeks of the NBA season, and it's been an amazing run. We've had some brilliant days, but this is where the good players separate themselves from the great ones. Following rotations and injury reports are more important than ever at this point of the season, and we truly believe that's where one of our major advantages lies. With that in mind, let's kick things off with the best shooter in NBA history! Head on over for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our MLB Optimizer, and NHL Projections as well. Plus our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Stephen Curry FD - $9700 DK - $10300 Opponent - DAL Proj Pts FD - 51.75 DK - 55.6 This might be a bold statement, but I truly believe that Curry is the most important player in the NBA. This dude changes the sport the way he spreads the court, and it's earned the Warriors a few championships. This is about this slate, though, and Curry is easily one of the best options on the board. Since returning from an injury on March 29, Chef Curry has at least 47 DraftKings points in 13 of his last 14 games. He's actually averaging over 55 DK points per game in that span, making it hard to believe that he's only hovering around $10K. Facing Dallas is a dandy matchup, too, with Curry collecting 57 points, two rebounds, and five assists the last time these two teams faced off. Malcolm Brogdon FD - $8500 DK - $8800 Opponent - POR Proj Pts FD - 46.53 DK - 48.58 The Pacers are one of the most beat-up teams in the NBA right now, and it's led to Brogdon's best stretch of his career. They're currently missing Domantas Sabonis and Myles Turner, which has boosted Brogdon's usage, rebounding, and shot attempts. That's crystal clear when you see that MB has at least 38 fantasy points in eight of his last nine games, averaging 48 DraftKings points per game in that stretch. That's why we have this projection where it is, and this matchup might be the best part of this play. Portland currently ranks 29th in defensive efficiency ratings while allowing the most fantasy points in the league to opposing PGs. In their one...

FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks – Friday, 4/23/21

FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Friday, 4/23/21 This Friday slate features seven games in total, with 14 teams taking the floor. What's fascinating about this slate is how many superstars we have missing. Kawhi Leonard, Trae Young, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, James Harden, Gordon Hayward, and Jonas Valanciunas have all been ruled out already, and almost all of those absences will play a factor in this article. With that in mind, let's get into it! Head on over for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our MLB Optimizer, and NHL Projections as well. Plus, our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! First time with NBA or NFL? Be sure to read our free NBA and NFL Ebooks on building lineups, general strategy, and more. We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Stephen Curry FD - $10000 DK - $10300 Opponent - DEN Proj Pts FD - 52.16 DK - 55.55 Curry has had an incredible career, and it's scary to think that he's actually in one of the best stretches of that Hall-of-Fame career. The sharpshooter has at least 52 DraftKings points in 11 of his 12 games since returning from injury, averaging nearly 60 fantasy points per game in that span. It's not like it's some outlier stretch either, with Curry providing similar shooting averages to his absurd career numbers. One of those majestic performances happened to come against this Nuggets defense, with Chef Curry collecting 53 points, six rebounds, and four assists en route to 69 DraftKings points. John Wall FD - $7800 DK - $7500 Opponent - LAC Proj Pts FD - 42.28 DK - 43.69 The Rockets are one of the worst teams in the NBA, and it's overshadowed a bounceback season from this former All-Star. The speedy point guard has at least 29 DraftKings points in 33 of his 39 games this season, generating a 38-point average for the year. Both of those numbers are hard to overlook from a sub-$8K player because Wall always produces when he's in the lineup. We'd usually be concerned about him facing this tough Clippers defense, but they're currently missing Kawhi Leonard and Patrick Beverley. We love that with Wall averaging 47 fantasy points per game in his last two meetings with LA. especially with Kevin Porter out as well. Shooting Guard Paul George FD - $9400 DK - $9300 Opponent - HOU Proj Pts FD - 48.57 DK - 50.44 I was severely disappointed when PG13 got ruled out on Wednesday, but we're going right back to the well. All the same things...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Thursday 4/22/21

Posted by on Apr 22, 2021 in Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks, DraftKings MLB Picks, FanDuel MLB Picks, featured |

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Thursday, 4/22 Yesterday was insane with 15 MLB games and 12 NBA matchups, but this slate is much lighter. We have just eight games for the day, with five games making up the night slate. That's a rather small ledger for MLB, and it leaves us with some lackluster pitching options. With that said, we have one of the best aces in the Majors taking the mound, so let's kick things off with him! Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB and NBA optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Walker Buehler FD - P 9800 DK - SP 10000 Opponent - SD (Ryan Weathers) Park - LAD FD - 39.5 DK - 21.83 If you think Clayton Kershaw is still the best pitcher in Los Angeles, you need to examine your thoughts. This kid is a downright ace, pitching to a 2.98 ERA and 1.00 WHIP since 2018. That's an amazing 374-inning sample size, striking out 420 batters in that time. That happens to be one of the best K rates in that span among starters, making him the easiest option on an otherwise weak slate. San Diego has a good offense on paper, but they really haven't gotten it going yet. They currently sit 19th in runs scored, and their two-best hitters happen to hit from the right side, which gives the advantage to Buehler. In six career starts against San Diego, Buehler has a 1.62 ERA, 0.82 WHIP, and 11.3 K/9 rates if you needed any more incentive. Aaron Sanchez FD - P 7200 DK - SP 7100 Opponent - MIA (Daniel Castano) Park - SF FD - 28.92 DK - 14.35 This is certainly a risky pick, but this is the nature of this slate. We have a solid pitcher facing a bad offense in an extreme pitcher's park. That's good enough for me to use Sanchez, with the talented youngster showing some serious flashes in his first few starts. In fact, the right-hander has a 2.45 ERA and 1.23 WHIP through three starts this year, and it appears this wonderful ballpark is doing him some good. He's shown moments of brilliance in the past, and a change of environment could be just what the doctor ordered. We love this matchup, too, with Miami missing Starling Marte while ranked 24th in hard-hit rate and 26th in exit velocity. All of that looks even better with San Fran being a -140 favorite here with a game total sitting at just eight runs. Catcher/First Base Pete Alonso FD -...
