This is when chaos ensues and when we can capitalize on being up on the news. There are so many random things happening in terms of pitch counts and lineups that you need to be zoned in to be successful. We feel like we are here, so let's go ahead and get into it! Pitchers Frankie Montas FD - P 9900 DK - SP 9400 Opponent - SEA (Logan Gilbert) Park - SEA FD - 34.89 DK - 18.49 It looks like Oakland will miss out on a playoff berth, but it's certainly no fault of Frankies! This dude has been electric in the second half, generating a 2.38 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 10.3 K/9 rate since the end of June. That's a long stretch of success, with Montas scoring at least 37 FanDuel points in 12 of those outings. That's well above our projection, and we believe he can surpass it here in a matchup like this. Seattle currently ranks 27th in OBP, 26th in K rate, and 25th in OPS. That's why they have a projection of 3.6 runs, which would be one of the lowest on this slate. Taijuan Walker FD - P 7300 DK - SP 6600 Opponent - MIA (Elieser Hernandez) Park - NYM FD - 38.03 DK - 20.75 This is a risky one, but Walker has some serious upside in this matchup. Let's kick things off by talking about that, with the Marlins ranked 28th in both runs scored and OPS while sitting dead-last in xwOBA. Those horrific averages make Walker an intriguing option at home, with Taijuan tallying a 3.55 ERA, 1.04 WHIP, and 8.9 K/9 rate at Citi Field this season. That's far from surprising when you look at how spacious Citi Field is, and it should allow Walker to maintain this weak lineup despite his recent struggles. Vegas certainly agrees with our assessment, making the Mets a -180 favorite in a game with a total of 7. If you have the salary, Gerrit Cole is obviously a good pick. Catcher/First Base Paul Goldschmidt FD - 1B 4100 DK - 1B 4800 Opponent - MIL (Adrian Houser) Park - STL FD - 10.6 DK - 7.97 Goldy has been a regular for me recently, and it's easy to understand why when you look at his numbers. He's got a .563 OBP and 1.705 OPS over...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Sunday, 9/26/21 Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB and NBA optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! We have only one week left! What's bizarre about this time of the year is that we have numerous starters facing weird pitch counts. It's hard to know what to expect because of that volatility, but we're going to lean on many contenders to avoid any of that silliness. There's a lot to discuss, though, so let's kick things off with one of the best pitchers for one of the best teams in baseball! Pitchers Lucas Giolito FD - P 9500 DK - SP 10900 Opponent - CLE (Triston McKenzie) Park - CLE FD - 37.43 DK - 20.09 Giolito went from being underrated to overrated back to underrated. For some reason, no one talks about him when discussing the White Sox, but he's a major reason why they have the best record in the AL Central. The right-hander has a 3.70 ERA and 1.12 WHIP in yet another sparking year, bringing his three-year averages to a 3.54 ERA and 1.08 WHIP. That doesn't even include his ridiculous 29 percent K rate as well, making him a dangerous option against this terrible Indians offense. Cleveland currently ranks 21st in runs scored and 28th in OBP. That was on full display when Gio gobbled up seven scoreless innings in their one matchup earlier this season. John Means FD - P 8900 DK - SP 8200 Opponent - TEX (Dane Dunning) Park - BAL FD - 32.49 DK - 17.08 Means has been slumping a bit since the All-Star break, but it's hard to overlook numbers like his in a matchup like this. Let's kick things off by talking bout his opposition, with the Rangers ranked dead-last in wOBA, runs scored, and OBP. That makes them the best matchup in baseball, and we certainly believe Means can add to that. We say that because the left-hander has a 3.17 ERA and 0.97 WHIP for the season. Those brilliant averages look even better when you see that Means threw seven scoreless innings in his one matchup with Texas earlier this year, striking out nine batters in one of the best starts of his career. If you're looking for someone cheaper, Shane Baz is a -280 favorite against a team with the worst xwOBA in baseball. Not to mention, he's got a WHIP below 0.80 in over 80 innings this year between the minors and majors. Catcher/First Base Max Muncy FD - 1B 4000 DK - 1B 5100...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Tuesday, 9/21/21 Now's your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB and NBA optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! I love this slate! I don't think I've gone through our projection system so quickly and found the guys who I wanted instantly. It feels like we have a ton of great hitters in some fantastic spots and it stuck out like a sore thumb. A lot of those guys are reasonably priced, too, and it makes for an incredible slate. The only real question mark is the pitcher position, but we feel like we have two strong guys to lean on. With that in mind, let's start there! Pitchers Zack Wheeler FD - P 10700 DK - SP 10400 Opponent - BAL (Keegan Akin) Park - PHI FD - 51.36 DK - 28.36 Zack Attack is the highest-priced player on the slate, and rightfully so. We're talking about a dude with a 2.83 ERA, 1.02 WHIP, and 31 percent K rate. That has turned him into one of the best pitchers in baseball, averaging 23.5 DraftKings points per game. The reason we expect that average to be his floor here is this matchup. Baltimore currently ranks 25th in OBP, 22nd in wOBA, and 26th in runs scored. They literally have 48 wins! How is that even possible? All of that tells us that Wheeler likely has a win headed his way, too, entering this tasty matchup as a -300 favorite. Cole Irvin FD - P 8200 DK - SP 5800 Opponent - SEA (Chris Flexen) Park - OAK FD - 31.37 DK - 15.93 What is going on with this DraftKings pricing? Most players sitting below $6K are minor leaguers or relievers on limited pitch counts, but Irvin is far from both of those. Irvin has thrown at least five innings in 23 of his 29 starts, generating a 2.99 ERA and 1.14 WHIP in those outings. That'd be a fantastic game from a sub-$6K player, and we certainly think he can have another one of those against the Mariners. Seattle sits 27th in OPS, OBP, and wOBA, with Irvin entering this matchup as a -140 favorite. Just use him as your SP2 in every lineup you make on DraftKings for your late-night hammer! Joe Ryan was nearly perfect in his last outing and could continue that success against a calamity like the Cubs. Catcher/First Base Paul Goldschmidt FD - 1B 4200 DK - 1B 4600 Opponent - MIL (Brett Anderson) Park - MIL FD - 11.28 DK - 8.48 The Cardinals have...

Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! If you love strange slates, this one's for you! This marks the two-week line until the final day of the season, and it feels like we just started playing a month ago. That's what can be genuinely bizarre about baseball because it felt like we were four months in come May. We're motivated to have some big nights before the regular season commences, and we truly feel like our projection system is speaking on this slate. It likes two of the stud pitchers to build around, so let's kick things off there! Pitchers Gerrit Cole FD - P 11500 DK - SP 10900 Opponent - CLE (Eli Morgan) Park - NYY FD - 49.77 DK - 28.26 Anytime the AL Cy Young favorite is taking the mound, he needs to be taken into consideration for DFS. What makes him an enticing option here is the matchup with Cleveland, with the Indians ranked 27th in OBP, 23rd in wOBA, and 24th in OPS. All of that doesn't matter when it comes to a pitcher like this, with Cole leading every player with 25.4 DK points per game. No other starter is even above 20, and it's a good indicator of how far above the field this guy is right now. Vegas loves him too, with the Yanks entering this matchup as a -300 favorite and Cleveland projected for about 3.5 runs. Sandy Alcantara FD - P 10800 DK - SP 10200 Opponent - PIT (Undecided) Park - MIA FD - 35.62 DK - 19.04 It's crazy that Alcantara is not the second-highest pitcher on both of these sites. To put it simply, he's been one of the best pitchers in the NL for nearly two months. Sandy surrendered 10 runs in Coors Field on August 6 but has a 1.55 ERA, 0.75 WHIP, and 11.0 K/9 rate since then. We can omit that Coors Field game because of all the nightmares it gives opposing pitchers, and it's far from the tasty spot he has here. Not only is Miami one of the most pitcher-friendly ballparks around, but Pittsburgh also ranks 28th in xwOBA, 29th in wOBA, and dead-last in runs scored. Catcher/First Base José Abreu FD - 1B 4000 DK - 1B 4700 Opponent - TEX (Jordan Lyles) Park - TEX FD - 13.53 DK - 10.23 I don't understand this pricing on DraftKings. Abreu received an AL MVP last season for his heroics and...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Wednesday, 9/15/21 Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB and NBA optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! We're down to the final three weeks! It's been a long grind to get to this point, and it's definitely been full of some major ups and downs. The good news is that we have the upper hand on a lot of the competition right now, with a lot of dead money coming in from NFL DFS goers. These people are making the prize pools more full than usual, making things a bit easier on us. We're just going to keep riding our projections and building solid lineups, which should lead to success for the final few weeks! Pitchers Julio Urías FD - P 10300 DK - SP 10500 Opponent - ARI (Madison Bumgarner) Park - LAD FD - 38.11 DK - 20.38 If it were 1976, Urias would be one of the frontrunners for NL Cy Young behind his 17-3 record. That alone is truly ridiculous, but a 2.98 ERA and 1.03 WHIP are equally as impressive. That doesn't even include his 175 Ks across 163 innings, making him the best pitcher on this slate. What we love here is that he gets to face Arizona. This club is battling for the worst record in baseball and ranks 24th in runs scored, 26th in OPS, and 29th in xwOBA. That's on full display when you see that Urias is averaging 28.7 DK points in their two meetings this season, backed by a 0.77 ERA and 0.60 WHIP. Jose Urquidy FD - P 8700 DK - SP 10000 Opponent - TEX (Kohei Arihara) Park - TEX FD - 34.49 DK - 17.98 Not many people talk about Urquidy regarding Houston's success, but maybe they should. This guy has a 3.51 ERA and 1.02 WHIP in one of the quietest great seasons from any pitcher in the league. That alone makes him a brilliant value on FanDuel, with Urquidy averaging 27.2 FD points per game. The best part of this play is the matchup, though, with the Rangers ranked dead-last in OBP, wOBA, and runs scored. That was crystal clear last season when Urquidy threw seven innings in each of their two meetings, averaging over 40 FD points per game. Not to mention, Jose and the Stros enter this matchup as a -230 favorite. Dallas Keuchel is a good GPP play against a shorthanded Angels team as a -200 favorite. Catcher/First Base Pete Alonso FD - 1B 3800 DK - 1B 4700 Opponent - STL...
