Point Guard Jalen Brunson FD - $5800 DK - $5300 Opponent - OKC Proj Pts FD - 31.38 DK - 32.11 It looks like Luka Doncic will sit here, which means it's time to fire up Brunson. Jalen always starts at point guard when Doncic sits out and typically plays at a $7,500 level. If you look at the six games that JB has started this season, he's averaging 21.2 points, 6.2 rebounds, 6.8 assists, and 1.2 steals per game. That stat-stuffing ability has allowed him to score at least 31 DraftKings points in all of those, en route to a 40-point average. That's far from surprising considering Doncic leads the NBA with a 36 percent usage rate, allowing Brunson to feed when he's out. We don't mind that he faces an Oklahoma City team that owns one of the worst rosters in basketball. Dennis Smith Jr. FD - $5500 DK - $6300 Opponent - MIN Proj Pts FD - 41.22 DK - 39.84 DSJ is another injury fill-in, starting at point guard for Damian Lillard. That alone would make him a worthy option, but he's also taking on a ton of usage in the absence of C.J. McCollum as well. That has allowed Smith to score at least 31 fantasy points in the last three games without those guys, averaging over 34 DraftKings points per game. Much like Brunson, he's an excellent stat-stuffer, too, providing value through rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks. Getting to face the Timberwolves only adds to his intrigue, with Minnesota sitting eighth in pace and 19th in total defense. Note: Lillard is questionable for this game. If you have the salary, Dejounte Murray is a good bet for a triple-double against a 26th-ranked Pelicans defense. Shooting Guard Josh Hart FD - $5800 DK - $6000 Opponent - SA Proj Pts FD - 31.49 DK - 31.88 Why the heck is Hart sitting around $6,000 on both sites? This dude has been a monster for three weeks now and should be $1,000 more on each site. Like the guys we mentioned before, Josh provides value through his stat-stuffing ways. In fact, Hart is averaging 11.8 points, 7.8 rebounds, 4.6...
DFS NBA Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Wednesday, 12/8/21
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Wednesday, 12/8/21 I love basketball as much as anyone, but these scheduling decisions are silly. We should not have three games on Tuesday and then 13 games on Wednesday! That doesn't make sense, and it's hard to understand why the NBA does this. From a DFS perspective, trying to navigate 26 different teams with injuries and COVID is very tough. Luckily, we've buckled down here and feel like we have a good read on what's going on. With that said, there will inevitably be some chaos before lock, so be sure to check injury reports before 7ET! Head on over for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our MLB Optimizer, and NHL Projections as well. Plus, our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Kyle Lowry FD - $6500 DK - $7200 Opponent - MIL Proj Pts FD - 33.54 DK - 35 With Jimmy Butler reaggravating his tailbone issue on Monday, it looks like he'll sit again here. That's bad news for Miami with Bam Adebayo out as well, but good news for Lowry's fantasy value. With those guys off the floor, Lowry has a 21 percent usage rate while averaging 1.1 DK points per minute. I thought that usage would be higher, but it's encouraging to see him be so productive because that rate will inevitably increase. Those injuries have opened up some ceiling games for Lowry, too, scoring at least 37 fantasy points in seven of his last 14 games. That'd be a monster total from someone in this price range, and we certainly don't mind that Lowry averaged 37 DK points per game against Milwaukee last season. Dennis Smith Jr. FD - $5500 DK - $5800 Opponent - GS Proj Pts FD - 42.25 DK - 40.74 With Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum both injured in Portland, this is DSJ's show. This guy has generally been considered a bust because of his high draft price, but he's always been productive when given the opportunity. That's evident in his recent form, averaging 36.5 DK points across 38 minutes a night in the two games without those two. Quite simply, it's 70 minutes, 40 shots, and 40 percent of the team's usage out the window, and Smith will be happy to take on as much of that as possible. He's also not going to be a victim...
DFS NBA Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Sunday, 12/5/21
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Sunday, 12/5/21 Sunday slates can be ugly, and this is undoubtedly one of those. We have just four games in total and three making up the DFS card. What makes it even more bizarre is that one of these clubs is amid a COVID breakout. That will cause chaos on this slate, but at least we have the information beforehand for once! We also have some of the worst defenses in the NBA on display, and it should lead to some high-scoring games. With that in mind, let's get into it! Head on over for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our MLB Optimizer, and NHL Projections as well. Plus, our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Trae Young FD - $9600 DK - $10300 Opponent - CHA Proj Pts FD - 47.84 DK - 51.67 With so many cheap players available, it's imperative to get a guy like Young into your lineup. The Atlanta point guard has been one of the most consistent players in the NBA recently, scoring at least 45 DraftKings points in six straight games. He's also got a 50-point average in that span as well, which is not far off of his impressive 47-point average for the season. All of that makes him an easy choice against anyone but facing Charlotte is sensational. We say that because the Hornets rank third in pace and dead-last in points allowed. Just take the guaranteed 40-50 fantasy points and build the rest of your lineup from there. Ish Smith FD - $5000 DK - $4800 Opponent - ATL Proj Pts FD - 24.29 DK - 23.89 The Hornets are amid a nightmarish COVID breakout, and it's going to make this Charlotte roster challenging to figure out. The most significant players they'll be missing are Terry Rozier and LaMelo Ball. That makes up their backcourt, and it should force Ish into the starting point guard job. This guy has always been productive in these fill-in spots in the past, averaging 27 DK points per game in his 24 starts since 2019. His speed and playmaking ability have led to that impressive average, and he should be asked to do a ton with the two guards out of this lineup. Facing Trae Young defensively is a nice bonus, too, with Young being one of the worst defenders in...
DFS NBA Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Wednesday, 12/1/21
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Wednesday, 12/1/21 It's December 1 somehow, but time flies when you're having fun! That's just what we're doing here, with DFS being a great escape from everyday life. Sometimes we get too concerned about the money we put on the line, but that sort of attitude can kill you in this racket. Enjoying DFS is just as important as anything, and I hope you guys have enjoyed the work we've done throughout the year. Our projection system has been killing it recently, and we believe it's spot on here. With that in mind, let's get into this Wednesday card. We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Cole Anthony FD - $7800 DK - $7900 Opponent - DEN Proj Pts FD - 34.42 DK - 36.09 It's looking like Anthony will make his return to action here, and let's not forget about how good this guy is. Anthony has at least 34 DraftKings points in 13 of 14 games before getting injured, taking over this Orlando offense. We expect that to rise even more here, with Jalen Suggs missing due to a broken hand. That means Anthony should be back in the driver's seat, averaging 21 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 6.1 assists in that impressive stretch. That equates to a 40-point average, and it makes it hard to believe he remains below $8K. A matchup with Denver isn't easy, but it really doesn't matter at this salary. Kevin Porter Jr. FD - $6800 DK - $7400 Opponent - OKC Proj Pts FD - 36.99 DK - 38.56 KPJ has been all over the map in terms of consistency, but it looks like he's feeling it with Jalen Green sidelined. The top rookie was taking a lot of touches from guys like Porter and Wood, but both of those players have been amazing since Green got injured. In fact, KPJ has at least 49 DraftKings points in the last two games without him, regaining the role that made him an $8K player last season. One of those came against this weak Oklahoma City team, with Porter collecting his first career triple-double in that game. The simple fact is, Porter is running this offense right now and is playing at a $9K...
DFS NBA Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Sunday, 11/28/21
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Sunday, 11/28/21 Sunday slates tend to be light, and that's certainly the case here. We have just three games making up the night card, with the Los Angeles-Detroit game being a standalone one well after the first two. That will cause chaos for DFS, but it also means you need to have a little exposure to that game. The one we'll be keying in on is the Memphis-Sacramento matchup, though. There's a ton of value with two of the worst defenses in the NBA on display, and that game will be sprinkled all across our lineups! Head on over for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our NFL Optimizer, and NHL Projections as well. Plus, our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. Point Guard De'Aaron Fox FD - $7600 DK - $8300 Opponent - MEM Proj Pts FD - 40.33 DK - 40.61 We had Fox in Wednesday's article, and he's been treating us with some gems since Luke Walton was fired. It's easy to understand why, with the pace picking up big time. Walton tends to play at a slow pace, while Alvin Gentry loves to have his players run up and down the floor. That's a godsend for a speedster like De'Aaron, averaging 38.5 DraftKings points per game in the two outings since the firing. We expect that form to continue, too, with Fox playing at that level for the final three months of last year. The best part of this play is the matchup, though, with Memphis ranked last in both defensive efficiency and points allowed. Look for Fox to remain a 40-point player from here on out and his price to rise $1,000 on both sites in the coming weeks! Tyus Jones FD - $3800 DK - $4800 Opponent - SAC Proj Pts FD - 28.71 DK - 29.02 The Ja Morant injury is one of the most unfortunate things to happen in the NBA this season, but it will allow Tyus to take over as the starting point guard in Memphis. That's big news for a guy who was already playing well, with Jones averaging 21 DK points per game in the nine outings he's played at least 15 minutes. He actually had a small stint as the starting PG last season, averaging 28 DraftKings points per game across 29 minutes a night. If you...
