DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Sunday, 5/1/22 This is one of the first times all year where it feels like we're back in the everyday grind. The past few weeks have been a bit of a mystery with the way offenses have struggled, but we're getting our grasp on what the baseball landscape will look like. We have numerous teams hitting around .200, and it's becoming clear that the pitchers are in charge right now. We have two of those aces as our pitching recommendations so let's go ahead and start there! Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB, NBA, PGA, NHL, and NFL optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. Pitchers Corbin Burnes FD - P 10700 DK - RP 10200 Opponent - CHC (Marcus Stroman) Park - MIL FD - 44.64 DK - 25.05 Burnes is the most expensive player on the slate, but he's worth every penny. The 2021 NL Cy Young winner finished last season with a 2.43 ERA and 0.94 WHIP. He's been better in the opening month of this season, tallying a 1.75 ERA and 0.74 WHIP. His strikeouts are what make him so dangerous, though, collecting 33 across 24.2 innings this year. That should be easy to duplicate against Chicago, with the Cubbies owning one of the worst lineups in baseball. That was on full display when Burnes compiled a 1.35 ERA, 0.75 WHIP, and 16.2 K/9 rate in three games against them last season. Not to mention, he enters this matchup as a -200 favorite, with Chicago projected for just three runs. Joe Musgrove FD - P 10400 DK - SP 9600 Opponent - PIT (Mitch Keller) Park - PIT FD - 41.6 DK - 22.41 Musgrove had an incredible 2021 season, and he's definitely carried that form into this year. The former Pirate had a 3.18 ERA and 1.08 WHIP last season and has backed it with a 2.16 ERA and 0.88 WHIP this year. Those are astounding numbers, and it's led to Joe scoring at least 34 FanDuel points in all four starts this year. The best part of this is the matchup with his former team. The Pirates were bottom-five in runs scored, OPS, and xwOBA last season and have just as bad of a lineup this year. The oddsmakers agree, making Musgrove a -190 favorite in a game with a 7.5-run total. Logan Gilbert (FD $9300/DK $9400) has an ERA below 0.50 ERA and is obviously a great play against a terrible Marlins lineup. Catcher/First Base Eric Hosmer FD - 1B 3400 DK - 1B...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Wednesday, 4/27/22 Great lineups can go off on any given night, but it's more unpredictable in baseball than any other sport. We feel like we have a good read on some stacks that we like for this slate, too, but let's get started with two young pitchers! Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB and NBA optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Joe Ryan FD - P 9200 DK - SP 9600 Opponent - DET (Michael Pineda) Park - MIN FD - 39.55 DK - 21.14 Joe Ryan is one of the most boring names in baseball, but his game is really coming around. A 2.47 ERA and 0.82 WHIP in the minors earned him this job, and he's pitched just as well at this level. In fact, Joe has a 3.16 ERA and 0.82 WHIP, striking out nearly 30 percent of the batters he faces since debuting last season. He's simply one of the best pitchers at limiting baserunners, and it should be easy to continue against Detroit's disastrous offense. The Motor City Kitties were 24th in OBP, 22nd in OPS, 25th in wOBA, and 28th in K rate last season. Their lineup is just as bad this year, with Ryan entering this matchup as a -190 favorite in a game with a seven-run total. Ranger Suárez FD - P 7100 DK - SP 7400 Opponent - COL (Ryan Feltner) Park - PHI FD - 34.83 DK - 18.08 Honestly, this is some of the worst pricing of the season. A lackluster start to the year has dropped Ranger to this price range, but he should be at least $1000 more in this matchup. The Rockies have a decent offense, but they were dead-last in OPS and runs scored on the run last year. That's expected to carry over this season, with Suarez looking in line for a quality start. We say that because Ranger has a 2.67 ERA and 1.08 WHIP since the beginning of last season. Those are some absurd averages, with Suarez entering this matchup as a -225 favorite, with Colorado projected for just 3.5 runs. Charlie Morton has gotten off to a rough start this season, but he should get going against the Cubs as a monster favorite. Catcher/First Base Pete Alonso FD - 1B 3800 DK - 1B 5200 Opponent - STL (Steven Matz) Park - STL FD - 10.45 DK - 7.81 There are intelligent people in our industry who were recommending Matz this season. That's hard to understand because this lefty has...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Sunday, 4/24/22 It's been a heck of a start to the baseball season. We at DFSR are sports degenerates, and there's no better time to get involved than this month. We're in full swing in the MLB regular season and still have you covered for the NBA Playoffs as well. Most eyes will be fixated on basketball, but we're going to get zoned in on this massive baseball card. We have every team in action and all but one game making up the day slate! Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB and NBA optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Robbie Ray FD - P 9800 DK - SP 9000 Opponent - KC (Carlos Hernández) Park - SEA FD - 43.07 DK - 23.92 I never thought this guy would win an AL Cy Young, but weird things have been going on the past two years. Ray was rewarded with the AL Cy Young in 2021, pitching to a 2.84 ERA and 1.04 WHIP. More importantly, he struck out 248 batters across 193.1 innings, despite throwing in the best division in baseball. Moving to the AL West has him facing much easier opposition, and it also has him in one of the most pitcher-friendly ballparks around. That makes him a great target for the rest of the season, but we love him against Kansas City. The Royals currently rank 27th in runs scored and 28th in OPS. That has him entering this matchup as a -190 favorite, with KC barely projected for three runs. Gerrit Cole FD - P 8800 DK - SP 10400 Opponent - CLE (Aaron Civale) Park - NYY FD - 47.09 DK - 26.75 We all know that Cole has been terrible through the first two weeks, but it's just a matter of time before he gets going. We're talking about a former Cy Young pitcher who's got a 2.85 ERA and 0.99 WHIP between 2018 and 2021. The most ridiculous thing is his league-leading K rate, striking out 939 batters across 667 innings in that span. That means he could be the highest-scoring player on any given slate, and we're willing to gamble on him while his price is at its lowest. Cleveland is not a concerning matchup either, with the Guardians ranked 18th in runs scored and 21st in OPS last season. He actually threw seven one-run innings while striking out 11 batters in this matchup last April. Clayton Kershaw (FD $10800, DK $10400) has been cruising, and the future Hall-of-Famer should keep that...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Wednesday, 4/20/22 The opening two weeks of the MLB season have been fantastic. My season-long leagues are cruising, and I've also had some profitable days in DFS. The volatility in MLB DFS can be frustrating at times, but it's essential to battle it every day and just power through the tough times. We haven't really gotten to those yet, but we want to keep our heads down and keep chugging along. With that in mind, let's get started with this Wednesday card! Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB, NBA, PGA, NHL, and NFL optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Brandon Woodruff FD - P 9700 DK - SP 9700 Opponent - PIT (Mitch Keller) Park - MIL FD - 42.17 DK - 23.05 We're going to have pitchers against the Pirates all season. This club had one of the worst lineups in baseball last year, sitting bottom-three in runs scored, OPS and xwOBA. That's scary since this lineup might be even worse, making Woodruff one of the easiest plays out there. Woodruff threw five scoreless innings in his most recent outing and provided a 2.56 ERA and 0.96 WHIP last season. He also went crazy against this putrid Pittsburgh lineup, averaging 41 FanDuel points per game in their previous three matchups. That has Woodruff entering this matchup as a -250 favorite, with the Buccos projected for fewer than 3.5 runs. Logan Gilbert FD - P 9500 DK - SP 9800 Opponent - TEX (Dane Dunning) Park - SEA FD - 33.9 DK - 18.29 Gilbert worked with Jacob deGrom in the offseason, and it looks like the best pitcher in baseball gave this kid some amazing tips. Gilbert has scored 33 FanDuel points in each of his first two games, pitching to a 0.90 ERA and 0.80 WHIP. We don't believe those absurd averages will maintain, but this kid has the stuff to be one of the best pitchers in baseball. He definitely showed that in the minors, generating a 2.12 ERA and 0.92 WHIP since 2019. Getting to face Texas might be the best part of this, though, with the Rangers ranked dead-last in OBP and OPS last season. The oddsmakers agree with this assessment, making Gilbert a -150 favorite, with Texas projected for a 3.5-run total. Merrill Kelly has been outstanding in the first two weeks and should continue that success against a weak Nationals lineup. Catcher/First Base Vladimir Guerrero Jr. FD - 1B 4100 DK - 1B 5800 Opponent - BOS (Nick Pivetta) Park - BOS...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Sunday, 4/17/22

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Sunday, 4/17/22 The opening week was bizarre, but we're starting to get back into the groove. Grinding every day is essential when it comes to MLB DFS, and that's tough when we have small sample sizes to deal with. The good news is that these rotations and lineups are finally solidifying, making things much easier on us going forward. We feel like we have a good read on this Sunday card, so let's go ahead and get into it! Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB, NBA, PGA, NHL, and NFL optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Alek Manoah FD - P 10000 DK - SP 10000 Opponent - OAK (Adam Oller) Park - TOR FD - 39.83 DK - 21.71 Manoah had a fantastic rookie season, and it looks like he's on his way to becoming an ace. The big right-hander had a 3.22 ERA and 1.05 WHIP in his impressive rookie campaign and added a new pitch to his repertoire. He presented it in the opener, holding a potent Yankees lineup scoreless across six innings of action. To say this is a step down in competition would be a drastic understatement, with Oakland owning the worst lineup in baseball. That has the Alek and the Blue Jays entering this matchup as a -250 favorite, with the A's projected for just 3.5 runs. Zack Wheeler FD - P 10200 DK - SP 10200 Opponent - MIA (Elieser Hernandez) Park - MIA FD - 38.28 DK - 20.61 How weird is it to see two pitchers at the same price on both sites? That really doesn't matter, but it's a completely random occurrence. In any case, Wheeler is the most expensive player on the board, and rightfully so. The right-hander registered a 2.78 ERA and 1.01 WHIP across 213.1 innings last season, striking out 247 batters! He showed glimpses of that in his shortened debut, surrendering just three baserunners across 4.2 one-run innings. He threw 65 pitches in that game, and it should have him ready for 80 here. That's really all he needs against Miami, with the Marlins ranked 29th in both runs scored and OPS while owning the worst xwOBA in baseball last season. In his previous three starts against them, Wheeler has allowed just five runs across 20 innings while flirting with a 1.00 WHIP. Nestor Cortes (FD $8400/DK $8200) has been fantastic filling in over the last two years, providing a 2.77 ERA and 1.06 WHIP since the start of last season. That's why he's a...
